Been here a couple times for bdays n events and it's pretty cool only bad thing is the Asian girl who takes ur orders she can barely speak English and gets mad and bitchy when you can't understand her and she has to repeat herself...in which case u still won't understand her lol other than that the food is great and the chefs are always funny and talented. Bar has cool lighting to and the food is just really good.

Typical Japanese steakhouse, but great location for our family. Really great lunch specials and dinner specials on weekdays. Kids love it for birthdays. If you can, you should request Peter to be your chef.

Great sushi and the hostess, Alex, was very friendly and helpful. She helped recommend the best dish in the menu. The servers and the cooks are equally amiable.

Visiting my parents in the area and they have been excited to take us to this restaurant because they know we are huge sushi and Japanese food lovers. The ambience definitely leaves a lot to be desired, the entire restaurant was freezing cold to the point of discomfort (for all 4 ppl in our party), the service was cold as well and unfriendly, and the pricing was very high. After assessing this whole situation for about 10 minutes we actually decided to get up and leave. And we were SO hungry, this wasn't easy to do. Honestly, I've rarely ever up and left a restaurant before so that is telling for our experience.

My husband and I were hopeful as we pulled up. There were a decent number of cars in the parking lot for a Monday night. The restaurant is a good size so that made us hopeful too. Our waitress was fairly aloof, definitely not friendly. The miso soup was cold which was disappointing since my husband has never tried it and didn't want to try cold soup. My California rolls were okay but nothing special. My udon soup was incredibly bland and not at all good. My husband's $16 chicken teriyaki was watered down. Our bill was $32 for pretty unappetizing food. For that reason alone we will never go back but the mediocre service didn't help matters. Save your money, go somewhere else.

I was in need of sushi while up visiting my mom. This was the closest place to her house, so I decided to give it a try. I had the monster roll and the California roll. They were not bad, but just average. The service was quick, and the saki was delicious! This place will do if you're in a pinch!

I thought the food was average for a Japanese steak house, with reasonable prices. I thought that the sitting arraignments could have been done better, we were sitting with complete strangers that did nothing but complain the whole time . . . brought down the quality of our dining experiences.

Omg we made reservations and had to wait an hour regardless, food was ok; however, service and wait was horrendous.

We were a party of 10.. For starters the air-conditioning was on the blink, yet every employee we asked about it gave us a confused, deer in the headlights look, blaming it on the grill. Huh?! Do they think that we've never been to Arigato or Benihana? Turn your A/C lower, we're in Florida, sitting me next to a grill! So, everyone orders their over-priced appetizers and meals. I see the push cart approaching our table and I watch the guy reach below for the metal plates of pre-measured raw food... Problem is that each plate was stacked on top of the other! So the metal plate is actually resting on someone else's raw, unprepared food. Where was that metal plate sitting before it was on top of raw seafood and/or steak? We will never know. On our way out I stopped to wash my hands and maybe I should have made this my first stop, because I would not have ordered anything from the menu if I had seen the condition of the bathroom first! AVOID, trust me.

It was our first time eating at this particular restaurant. I didn't realize it was a combination hibachi grill and sushi bar; however, we were in the mood for sushi so we opted for the latter. Pros: +Atmosphere +Drinks were refilled promptly (Sweet tea was very sweet, which I liked) +Menus were easy to read +Rolls were good, especially the Naruto and Iso roll. My wife had the Miso soup and she enjoyed it very much. +Our seating area was sectioned off from the hibachi area, but had viewing areas if you want to see the action. +Bathroom decoration was pretty... my wife and I loved the sinks. Cons: -Shumai appetizer (shrimp dumplings, dimsum style) tasted like it came from a frozen supermarket package. We were disappointed with it. -Sushi itself (I had the Tuna) was fresh, but it was very dry. -Both Male and Female bathrooms were dirty with toilet paper all over the floor. Wife also said there was no feminine receptacle in the Lady's room. Overall: It wasn't a bad experience. There were some pros and some cons to this restaurant. We will probably eat here again and try some different items. This restaurant is not at the top of our list, but it's not at the bottom either. See the picture we've posted of our dinner.

I have eaten at this establishment more than once and have yet to be disappointed, that is until tonight. The food has always been good and cooked to my liking. Only tonight, the food wasn't the only problem. A few friends and I sat down at the hibachi table and were joined by another couple and an elderly man who asked if he could have a seat and simply just watch the hibachi show. We all agreed and let him stay at the table to watch and finish his drink. As time went on, the man started getting rowdy and cursing at the hibachi chef. But that wasn't the worst of it. The sake squirt bottle they use was taken out of the chef's hand by the man as he then proceeded to put his entire mouth on the opening of the bottle. He then squirted the bottle onto the food that was on the table while we all looked on in utter shock. Next, he started taking the noodles off the grill and throwing them around the other food that was being prepared. What turned me off was that nobody had come over to the table to put a stop to this absurd behavior. The man obviously had too may drinks and wasn't in the right mind set. I had to get up out of my seat to tell someone to remove this him from our table and he kept returning. My entire meal was tarnished from this incident and I barely ate it. Thinking that the manager would be nice enough to complement it or remake it, nothing was done and I ended up paying full price for a horrible experience. As I left the restaurant I only got an apology. That is it. I can honestly say that they have lost my respect and business. I am extremely disappointed in the way the restaurant handled the situation.

If I could give zero stars I would. The rudest hibachi chef I have ever encountered. Disrespected a man at our table by chucking egg shells at him because he let the chef know there was a HUGE piece of shell in the eggs. We got up and walked out. Soon the rest of the table followed. We are appalled at his behavior. We will NOT be back. The manager was speechless.

Went there for the first time for a hibachi dinner and wasn't impressed. The soup was basically just hot water with a couple of veggie fragments thrown in. Everyone at our table mentioned that it had no taste, one of the other guests joked with their kids that it was dishwater. The salad that followed was much better. When it came to the main meal, the fried rice and veggies were very bland. My steak was cooked properly, but everyone else's was over done. The chicken was a little bit on the tough side. Our server was friendly and the cook was very nice, but unfortunately the food wasn't that great. Bottom line: Most everything was bland and flavorless.

Gotta say this rivals Arigato, Kobi, and the original Benihana. Everything was just wonderful. The usual before meal soup and salad was good. We also shared some rolls which were fresh and tasty. The hibachi grill was same old routine: some flashy knife tricks, the old onion volcano, flip some food into mouths, etc. The food off the grill was plentiful and delicious. I enjoyed the steak and shrimp, while the wife had the chicken, both were outstanding in flavor! After the meal we walked over to the bar where I enjoyed for the first time a Kirin Ichiban on TAP! That beer was followed by 2 more. I have always had ichiban in the bottle or those huge tall cans. This is the first time I have ever seen that katana tap handle. The bar is gorgeous and clean. More people should goto this bar just for drinks. We will be back alot. Next time we will belly up to the sushi bar!

Teppan yaki steakhouse in Brooksville (Hibachi is charcoal grill). I have been here twice and the teppan yaki (I had steak) was as good as anything in California. Second trip was for dinner and the tempura was tender and crispy. Perfect. Service was top notch as well. Very friendly and attentive. The only thing keeping my rating at 4 stars is the fact they use krab instead of real crab in the rolls. Step up to fresh crab and 5 stars it will be.

Food and show is always good. On the pricey side tho. Would rather go to Wasabi's down the road, but this place always has room on the weekends with hardly any wait. Yum yum sauce soooooo good.

Went last night to try out Fujiyama. My daughter and I each got the "chicken and shrimp" from the hibachi and loved everything! The chef was fun and entertaining and we will definitely return!

Wow this place sure went downhill fast. They were great when they opened; now it seems that they have new management and staff. Our hibachi chef was in a real hurry and our "show" took less than ten minutes as he practically flung the food onto our plates. Could not have been less enthusiastic either. I know doing the same thing ten times a night gets really old, but come on man, it's your job, and putting on a smile is part of the show. Once we caught our food (ha), the meat wasn't cooked how we ordered it. The noodles were drenched in sake, and the vegetables were as limp as a ragdoll. Also they've gotten more expensive since I was last there, which is saying something since they weren't cheap the first time. I guess if you want Japanese in Spring Hill go to...Wasabi? That place isn't great either but it's a notch above this place and is cheaper. PROS: Decor is still nice? CONS: Too many to list. VERDICT: Just don't go.

Went here for our anniversary and it was a pleasant experience, they start you off with a miso soup with mushrooms in it then a salad with a sesame ginger dressing then you can choose what type of food you want or meat rather a bit pricy as we spent 60 for toe people and that was with a buy one get one 50% off but worth every penny the yum yum sauce is so good spicy like horseradish but soooo good! Make sure you bring a little cash to tip your chef

Great Japanese steakhouse, I'd prefer them over wasabi anyday. Good food :)) great location. I'm definitely going back soon

We have eaten here several times and always enjoy it. The staff is friendly and the chefs really are personable and put on a good show. We typically share the combo of steak and seafood (note there is a $7 charge for sharing, but that covers double the rice, soup, salad, and appetizer shrimp). The steak is always cooked perfectly (medium rare) and the lobster is never over-cooked. It can be a little pricey if you have several drinks, but it is definitely a good value for the food you get. We never can finish the whole plate between two us. Definitely recommend for families or large groups.

Always a good time. Dinner and entertainment all rolled into one. Pricing is a little high for this area but very comparable to most restaurants in Tampa. Would recommend.

Came with my family. Great personality & entertaining by the chef. The food had more to be desired for. The chicken is of poor quality or way overcooked. My 10 year old niece picked up on it, the rest of the table (that was not my family) noticed and left early. I can't speak for the sushi, but if they can't get the chicken right.....
