The entire family was excited about this lunch stop. Everything was fantastic and the staff was so friendly. We left this place wishing we could come back later and eat again. Certainly hope we get to eat here again. Next stop Bob's River Place.

Driving through the tiny town of Branford and stopped for lunch. Southern food lovers, here's your place. Fried chicken, fried okra , fried catfish, collard greens - not for dieters. Great food!

Good food. Popular buffet. Wish hours were extended a little longer. Decor is a bit dated. Good place yo eat.

Sisters' Café is a country buffet restaurant in Branford, Florida, which has been there over ten years, yet I only tried recently and then--horrors of horrors--nearly forgot to review it! And that would be a shame, because as far as Southern-style country buffets go, it's one of the best I've ever tried and also fairly priced. I have gone for years to Nell's Buffet just across the road but Nell's closed for a while--but now appears to be back open for business--so my friend Dalton and I tried Sisters' because it was easier to get to from where we'd docked our boat at the Ivey Park down by the Suwannee River. Sisters' is located in an old house/commercial building and while the interior is nothing fancy, it is comfortable and there is ample seating. You can order the buffet for dine-in which is an all-you-can-eat buffet or else get it to go and pay by the ounce. We did the latter and took our food back to the park to eat and watch the sunset over the Suwannee. They had a seafood focus to their buffet that night although I am not sure when or how often they do this: they had fried shrimp, fried catfish, fried mullet, and something they call "hot hot shrimp" which are shrimp basted in a Tabasco-type hot sauce and are amazingly good. In addition, they had great fried chicken and sides like green beans, mashed taters, and grits. Frog legs: I must not forget to mention they have frog legs! They also have for dessert a peach cobbler and a chocolate pudding cake--both are quite good and the peach cobbler is possibly the best cobbler I've ever had. They also had amazingly good hush puppies which were hot from the kitchen, just put out on the buffet. (We did have to wait a few minutes for fresh ones, but they sure were worth the wait!) There were other dishes on the buffet, too, but these were the stand-out ones I recall most. (It's hard to remember everything when you're working from notes taken on your phone on a boat!) I would recommend Sisters' to anyone in the Branford area who likes Southern cookin'. Be forewarned: if heading west on 27 to Mayo, there's not a lot there so you'd better eat up at Sisters' before getting back on the road. (There's also a country buffet at Mayo, called "the Mayo Café" but it didn't even have fried chicken my last trip there and was around $17 for one person--seriously--very overpriced and lacking all around, but that's another review I suppose.) Also, as we discovered, this is a great place to dock a boat down at Ivey Park and head up to for lunch or dinner. Note that Sisters' is only open for dinner currently on Friday nights, but does lunch I think every day of the week, including Sunday.

Good southern food. Their bread pudding is ah-mazing! I would have rated them better if they had healthier options. The place is very clean and they tried with the salad bar.

Sisters is well worth the drive from Gainesville. I always go anytime I am headed anywhere near that area. Happy employees and great range of southern comfort foods and of course the best damn fried chicken in the state.
