Village Inn is a tough place for diabetics, and you must be extra cautious while ordering food at the Village Inn, especially if you're a diabetic. The food items low in sodium are high in sugar or cholesterol at Village Inn which makes it difficult for diabetics to choose the right food at the diner.
Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for Diabetics
Village Inn offers very few items edible for diabetics without any threat. You can avoid sandwiches and burgers at Village Inn and try the light breakfast items on the menu. You must also skip the shakes as well as other juices from the beverage menu. Almost all the dinner items on the menu are high in sodium except Grilled Tilapia and 6 oz. Top Sirloin & Toast. Avoid Soup bowls and opt for cups instead at Village Inn.

2 Egg Low-Cholesterol Egg Substitute Omelette with Part-Skim Mozzarella
If you are concerned about high blood pressure, then you must try food items from the kid's menu at Village Inn as most food items on their regular menu are high in sodium. However, you can always bet on salads for rescue. Instead of dining alone, you can visit the Village Inn in groups to keep the sodium intake in check.
Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for High Blood Pressure
Avoid Sausage Links & Eggs, Sausage Patties & Eggs, Biscuit & Gravy with Eggs, 6 oz. Top Sirloin Eggs, Ham Steak & Eggs, Egg Benedict, and Country Benedict from Village Inn's breakfast menu. It is also recommended to skip the Skillet options at Village Inn for its high sodium content. Among the omelets, avoid Denver Omelette, Country Music Star Omelette, and French Spinach & Bacon Omelette. You must also skip Sandwiches and All-World Double Cheeseburger every time you visit Village Inn.
Food Suggestions for High Blood Pressure at Village Inn

You can try the salad items, juices, or light breakfast items from the menu to keep the cholesterol in check. You can also try food from the kid's menu to ensure that you consume fewer calories than usual.
Foods to Avoid at Village Inn for High Cholesterol

Almost everything on the dinner menu is also high in cholesterol and must be avoided. Also, skip shakes at Village Inn.

Horrible service!!! They were understaffed and had us wait an hour just to be seated. Took them 30 minutes to bring our drinks. We had a group of 5 people everyone ordered water expect for me. I wanted coffee, well I never got my coffee. Waited an hour and a half for our food that end up coming out cold. I ordered cheese on top of my eggs in which the food was so cold the cheese didn't even melt. There were about 3 tables next to us filled with dirty dishes that no one cleared off. This was a horrible experience and I will never go back there. Upon receiving our bill I realized the coffee I never received we were charged for. When I told the person to remove the coffee because I never got it, he had to walk over to our table to verify if if a coffee mug was present. Then our waitress had the nerves to say why didn't you tell me I forgot your coffee, well if she ever came back to check on us I would have told you. Do yourself a favor and never go here!!!

Ordered two eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, and toast. Not too keen with my eggs and hashbrowns tasting like they were smothered in butter, but I'm sure this doesn't bother most people. I can't do it though

The Shepards pie was very dissapointing, I know what not to ever get again here. It was more like watery beef stew with a scoop of mash potatoes on top.

Clean and plenty of room. Great service and food was tasty. I ordered the $6.99 breakfast special. Scramble eggs, hash browns and two strip of bacon with white toast! Love their coffee.

This place is like an IHOP in terms of the type of food available (breakfast all day, lunch items, etc...). Stopped in for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Although there were several people waiting to be seated, we were seated promptly. The restaurant itself was clean and I really like the way the place was decorated. Our waitress was nice and very attentive (beverage cups were never empty). I enjoyed (and I do mean ENJOYED) the Country Sausage Potato Pancake Benedict Scramble. OMG!!!!!!! Whoever came up with that needs a raise STAT!! It was delicious and filling. I will definitely return.

Village inn isn't and won't be high on my list of must go breakfast eateries around the Brandon/Riverview area until they can speed up the kitchen. Dined here twice and both times it took nearly an hour for breakfast to come out. By then I was full on pots of coffee that I had to beg for from servers that weren't even our tables. The food is okay, on par with ihop. The pies however, are the shiz. I have yet to try a bad one. So you earned that third star village inn!

This place is weirdly not busy. Like, ever. Saturday morning breakfast? Rush? What rush? Food is normal for the chain, staff isn't really memorable (good OR bad) and while there isn't anything really to recommend against stopping in...there isn't much to recommend it, either. Good if you want a quiet place to read or study, or something, I suppose.

Decent place to grab a late night meal or a breakfast. I would not expect this place to blow your doors off, but the place is clean, the food is decent, and the place can sit plenty of folks. Parking can get a little tight at times, but not a bad place to grab a generic breakfast at all. What else do you expect for a chain restaurant, at least this place the food tastes like you expect it to.

One of my only few favorites to get Breakfast. I love there .99 cent pick your platter items...I normally get grits, 2 eggs over easy, 2 sausage links and 4 slices of toast with an extra side of grits..( their Grits bowl is pretty small) so if you want a big plate of grits make sure you ask for a bigger bowl on top of the small one they are going to give you. Overall its nice. Wait staff is great, friendly always checking on you. Prices are good and most importantly the food is good. I wouldn't continue to come back as much if it wasn't. Note: If you go on Sunday make sure you get there before 10am. Otherwise 10-2 can be a cluster in there due to all the hungry church people ( which alot of them are coming out of early church service) so either b4 10 or after late 1 or 2 pm. Otherwise A+! Note: Free WIFi!!! Always a plus!

Our families current top choice for breakfast. Great coffee, and the food is always right on. Ask for Tiffany and she will take great care of you. We go monthly at a minimum.

Stopped in this morning by myself for breakfast. I was greeted and seated immediately. Server was very attentive and brought coffee for the table. Ordered biscuits and gravy with side of scrambled eggs and country potatoes. Food came out quickly and was warm. Serving sizes were huge, enough food for at least two meals! Definitely a great value for the money. The pies in the display case looked delicious, but unfortunately I definitely didn't save room to try those! Will return the next time I'm visiting Brandon.

Stopped in looking for a midday brunch and Yelp directed me here. I ordered the VIP plate pick four items from a selection of 30, I picked the egg and cheese omelet, grits, sausage pattie, and French toast... The French toast was light and melted like butter delicious. Everything else was just ok. The service was fast and friendly. Not the best place I've been but worth a visit if your in the area.

This place is terrible!!!! Avoid it! First the 'hostess' couldn't host worth a darn! She is mean mean mean; terribly ugly personality! Makes one wonder how she was hired! (Black female more concerned with her hair and nails than customers). We were seated and placed our drinks order rather quickly; which appeared good... But it took 10 minutes to get the drinks! Finally, we ordered... 20+minutes later the food hasn't arrived. When it does finally arrive my food is over cooked and burnt and parts missing. My son found HAIR in his food and my daughter said the corn was nasty!! I had enough! Talked to the manager and left. Service was horrible; food was horrible... NEVER EVER again will we frequent this Village Inn; which is a shame since I normally love Village Inns!

Village inn is my family and I favorite restaurant!! I love the coffee and the egg menu. The VIP meals are great to creat the perfect meal! I recommend their pies highly! Especially the peach pie and the chocolate peanut better cup pie! Sometime they take as long as 30-45 minutes long in the kitchen, but I'm ok with that because I love the place!
