Great selection of good craft beer, little hard to find in the "Mall" but well worth the search Good attentive wait staff Not a great snack selection or taste but, hell, your there for the stinking beer!! Right??
(4)Heather F.
Loved their variety of beers and ciders. Service was fast and friendly. Ordered a beer flight, didn't come in order and the server got confused as to which beer was which. But overall great experience.

Great place! Our last stop for the night. If you're looking for a variety of beers, this is where you want to be. From the large tv's to the appetizers, not to mention the amazing beers! Did I say beers?? I'll cheers to that! Go and enjoy yourself, you won't regret it. Even our bartender was sweet.
(4)Julie M.
Love it here! Just kick back and relax. The only complaint I have is that they could use some better entertainment.
(4)Amy K.
I love Brandon Brass Tap! It is located within Westfield Mall, between Cheesecake Factory and Ryuu Japenese Steakhouse. This location is not very large and during busy hours it can be hard to find a bar stool. There are small bathrooms that are clean and well maintained. There is indoor and outdoor seating that is dog friendly. Warning: indoor area can be frigid! Parking can also be tough during busy hours (mainly weekends). The lot is large since it is the mall, but you may end up parking far away. Worth the walk :) The staff is very friendly and helpful. Most employees know their beers very well and will readily recommend samples from the menu. They RARELY get orders wrong or overcharge (sometimes this can happen on Thursdays which is local beer night). Be sure to join the Brew Crew if you plan to come here often! It's a great loyalty program: t-shirt provided on the 50, 100, 200, 500 etc mark. Plus bar tabs that are notable. The beer menu is rotational and normally more diverse than WOB. BT has many special events, highlighting rare beers with raffle prizes. They serve in-house food: pretzels with beer cheese/mustard/hummus, chips with salsa/chicken dip/spinach dip, random sausage platter and a bacon dish. You can also order delivery from any of the surrounding restaurants (Bahama Breeze, CPK, Red Robin, Cheesecake Factory).

Definitely love the fact you can order food at any restaurant and bring it in. This beer bar has a good selection but seems small on Friday or Saturday. They offer a lot more beer specials than their competitor which make trying new beers a little cheaper. Service has been hit and miss when we have been there. Sometimes is fast and efficient but other slow and inaccurate.
(4)Pete M.
Great place, great selection and all kinds of parking. I had an absolutely horrible first date here and quickly found out that the bathrooms weren't near the exit and there weren't windows in the bathroom either, how's a guy supposed to escape?! Haha. Despite the bad date, I'm happy that I found out about this place and will definitely be back, even if they don't have an escape hatch in the men's room!

My husband & I have been coming in here regularly since October 2014 (He started coming here back in November 2013) and we love it here every time!! Lindsay & Tony are personally our favorite employees but we love everyone who works there, we're treated as friends rather than just plain customers. If you want a quiet night out however, go on either Mondays or Wednesdays, as Tuesdays are trivia nights, Thursdays are bingo nights & Friday nights have a live guitarist starting at 7pm. Happy hour & Sunday $4 drafts are always awesome. It's worth looking for, as it's hidden between Ryuu and Cheesecake Factory. Even the bar snacks are awesome, and they do have the food menus for Ryuu, Cheesake Factory, and Bahama Breeze if you want to order while there! Awesome place

Service (girl) was honest and accommodating. Really good establishment. I've been here three times and no strikes. Good place.
(5)Rich M.
We went there to watch game 6 of the Stanley cup and avoid the yelling from traditional sports bars. There was one guy at the end of the bar that continued to scream at the top of his lungs. I told the waitress about it several times and her response was "oh well". The manager did nothing even though it was obviously angering several patrons. So we left. If you want to be a sports bar be a sports bar. We will not ever come back either on our own or with a group from work.
(1)Gloria S.
This is a good place to come after eating dinner or doing a little shopping. It is pet friendly so you can bring your dog in the patio. The sangria is my favorite! The beer selection is broad with occasional specials. Thursday nights are bingo nights. It is so much fun! I recommend coming here for a chill time.

Excellent! I really like this place. I went there for my second time last night to grab a beer with my friend. I'm not really much of a drinker and I know little about beer. But at this place the menu has a good description of why the beer will taste like and the staff is very knowledgeable also. Service was really fast. Just as we were in the last sips of our beer one of the staff would come over to see what we wanted next. The atmosphere is not really like a bar. It's a very relaxing place set right off the beautiful restaurant court. Last night was trivia night. That was a lot of fun and a lot of people participated. What was great was that even if you were sitting inside and you didn't want to participate. You could still hold a conversation with your table while the person on the stage asks the questions. There is seating indoors and out doors with no wall (that I could see) separating the two. With the beautiful Tampa weather this is perfect inside is kept at a nice temp but with no seperate on it makes the place feel a lot bigger. One other thing I learned that was great was that you could bring in outside food from another place and eat while you drink your beer. Like I said this place is surrounded by restaurants so it's very easy to get great food to go with your beer.
(5)John B.
Lots of cold beer to choose from. Food can be ordered for delivery from many of the nearby restaurants.
(5)Katy S.
Beer bar at the Brandon Mall with a really great selection of beer and nice service. The patio is really nice and I would be happy to spend a nice bay enjoying the weather. There is no food, but you can order items from other restaurants at the mall. All in all, a good spot in the Brandon area to tie one on with friends!
(3)Rory M.
Best service so far in the Brandon area. Good beer selection, just not used to going to the mall for a few brews.
(4)James P.
A craft beer place along the lines of WOB and their ilk. Staffed by those types of people, too - enthusiastic, chatty, beer-loving people. They'll tell you what you need to know about what you want to try. Selection is great, too. The draught stuff is great, but please please PLEASE don't be afraid of bottled beer! A lot of the imported stuff can only come in bottles because the foreign kegs use a different type of tap, so if you see something interesting in the bottled section of the menu, try it out. There's lots of cool stuff out there. Darts, music, open patio that allows smoking, and dudes with beards serving you beer. This is how it should be.
(5)Brett N.
Why 4 stars? Because who knew the Brandon mall could be cool? --- --- --- Chain or not, I never expected to see a beer bar in Brandon, let alone at the mall. Be warned that Apple maps does a poor job of explaining the actual location of the BT. It's right next to Dick Sporting Goods and Cheesecake Factory. Apple Maps makes it seem like it's outside the mall area, by the Wal-mart. False, Apple... false. Tons of beer selection here, and plenty of it is local. During my visit (Friday night) they had some really good live music, as well as a gaggle of TV's playing baseball and basketball. Basically, all of the keys to my heart.
(4)Andee S.
I really like this place but the beer selection is pretty poor compared to other places. I do enjoy the ambience and how nice the staff is :) ! I always come back because the area is really nice and it is in a centric place at the mall ! They have life music on Fridays and Saturdays and that is a plus for me! I never really seen this place super crowded, but Im not sure of its a good or bad sign. In my case I like it, bcs I can find a place to sit and get my beer quicker! Oh yeah theres no food at all tho, but lots of restaurants around, you re always welcome to bring your own food :) !!
(4)Nishant G.
I only drank water here, but the beer selection is huge. Great decor, great vibe, decent staff. Live music on weekends! If you get a chance to hear Ken Apperson play, do it.
(5)Jen K.
I love this place. I am not usually a beer person. But their selection is so huge that there is definitely something for everyone. The staff is always very friendly and are great with helping you pick out something to suit your taste. They have live music which I especially love. They have an open air patio that is awesome. Something about drinking a beer on a hot summer night while feeling the breeze. They do not have a food menu. However, there are several restaurants in the mall and they will deliver. I love the laid back feel. It is very nice establishment but it doesn't feel stuffy. This is definitely one of my favorite bars in Brandon.
(4)Matt V.
Beer, beer, and more beer! If you like beer this is the place to be! It is also at the mall so if you need some respite from your shopping come down a pint here!
(5)Jennifer W.
What's not to love about a place with 60 taps? What makes this place extra cool is the amount of Florida beers they have on tap. I would stay away from the flights. I was shocked when the bill came to discover the flights are $10 a pop for 4 beers.
(4)Katelyn B.
Love the atmosphere here! Lots of different beers to try. Great service. Brandon mall is pretty central location. Prices are a bit steep but there is something for everyone. I enjoy sitting on the patio and listening to live music. I will return but on a night that is cool out.
(4)Lane F.
I enjoy the brass tap. I like all their beer selections, not to many places in the area offer that. The atmosphere is nice and social. Meeting friends for drinks or having a cold one after work this place isn't bad. Being attached to the mall is another perk!
(5)Abby A.
Gluten free choices! I needed that! Service wears great and the patio was a nice place with a cool breeze. I will be back for sure! Date night here we come.
(5)Jose R.
It is an ok place for me bartenders are ok nothing impressive when most of the time all they do is pour beer. If they have friends in they take care of them and forget about the rest. Took a friend of mind there the bartender thought he could hit on her it was funny how pathetic he sounded. Try to Jin their club he said system is down can't do that right now guy sitting next to me told the female bartender that he wanted to join the club And no issues hmmm need me say more

So much beer - its the way into my heart. For it being Brandon, it's the best you are going to find. Of course it is in the mall, its the only place to hang out in Brandon. Of course the Brass Tap is corporate, but what do you expect? This place is really well put together. They really did a great job creating the mix of a classy atmosphere but with a chill vibe. Waitresses are the perfect mix between a knowledgeable beer drinker and a ditzy sorority girl. They are awfully cute. 40 beers on tap, over 300 bottles - you are bound to like something. Don't order a bud light. No food, but you are welcome to order food from any of the restaurants around. Many of them will even deliver to Brass Tap and they don't mind if you eat inside. Their patio is completely open into the restaurant. Smoking OK on the patio. they even have a cigar selection. Tuesday and Sunday $3 Pints,Thursday 2-4-1 Ladies night, Hospitality night Monday and Wednesday A-OK! If I am in the area... I will definitely go by.
(3)Markham G.
Never been to a place like this. My guy is a beer junkie so he freaked out when he saw this. As he is a beer snob held them to a high standard so didn't like when a Guinness was poured in another brand glass or that it was poured wrong. I had a raspberry framboise beer & It was yummy. Great special today, $1.50 Off all draughts so took advantage of this. Our waitress was excellent, a real subject matter expert on all things beer. Unfortunate you cannot eat here but that's the point..and server was great enough to say that of we want we can order from a local restaurant and would deliver food here and we can eat at brass tap. So unique & wish we had one in Toronto
(3)Blake G.
Great place for good beer. You can order food from the surrounding resturaunts.
(4)Richard Z.
This is THE place to go for a great beer selection in the Tampa area. Came here with a buddy after attending a wedding with him, and this was the highlight of the trip. Intelligent bar staffers, lots of great seating, and delicious beer. It's almost worth going back to Tampa just to go here.
(5)Kelleigh M.
Excellent beer selection ( including ciders) and nice atmosphere with an open air patio. Although they do not have a food menu, the surrounding restaurants will deliver to your table. We went there once and ordered guacamole from sinigual, pizza from cpk and dessert from cheesecake factory. Awesome!
(5)JEREMY G.
Brandon's other craft beer destination. Not quite as big as a selection or environment as WOB, but everything is as good none the less. The worst part about this place is the parking (at a mall). If it was somewhere else it'd get 5 stars, but dealing with angry soccer moms and their minivans while trying to have a fancy beer can ruin any night out.
(4)Emmett F.
Superb selection and staff but a bit quiet. Tonight is cool, small crowd, kewl guy with his dog. Cute brunette bartenders that really know their beer. I'll be back but this place needs a black eye or some scars. Something to dirty it up for the vibe.
(3)Kristi A.
Great place with huge selection of beers from around the globe. They usually have live bands/singers on the weekends too... Lots of fun!
(5)Mia J.
Mall parking, no food, female bartenders ignore women, staff who didn't know how to answer my questions about beer. They do have happy hour deals.
(2)Rebecca K.
I visit the Brass Tap when I'm feining for a new craft beer. Their selection is by far unbeatable in the area. Although it is easy to drop quite a few hard earned dollars here, the atmosphere, open air patio, and live music is worth it. I've always had great service! Some of my favorites - Wells banana bread beer, Lost Coast Tangerine, Delerium Tremens, Jolly Pumpkin Weizen Bam, Youngs Double Chocolate Stout If you're hungry, fear not. Any surrounding resto in the mall will deliver to you! Be sure to ask your server what the daily special keg is(if there is one)!
(4)BG M.
Wonderful addition to the Brandon Town Center. Lana is a gem.
(5)C. J.
The best bar in Brandon, which really isn't saying much. They have an extensive (albeit overpriced) beer menu, and the staff members are very friendly and efficient. However, I don't understand the insistence on having so much live music. I wish the management would recognize that people don't go here for bar bands, they go to talk to their friends and drink beer. It must be frustrating for all the musicians to get no applause because people are too busy shouting at the person next to them. When a band's playing, which seems to be every night, I sit outside, but there are many smokers out there. This place could be so much better if there was just a juke box or the sound was on for a game on one of their many large TVs.
(3)Alicia K.
Great place to hang..amazing beer selection and their live entertainment was fantastic..you would never know you were in a mall. A little too loud while the band was on to have any conversation, but they had several flat-screen TV's to keep your mind occupied. I would definitely go back.
(4)David P.
Oh man, a lot of beers on tap, and more in the case. They rotate the selection, so always something new. Check it out!
(4)Bruce M.
The Brass Tap is my absolute favorite bar. The beer selection is incredible and rotates regularly. The staff is very knowledgeable about the beers they serve as well. Also, if your hungry just ask for a menu from one of the several restaurants near by that will deliver to your seat at the bar! If you're a fan of craft beer then this is the place for you.
(5)Drew T.
Great beers, live music, as good as it gets!
(5)ERIC M.
Great selection of beers! The staff is great and always entertaining. It's a great place to go to watch a fame or just chill out!
(5)Lauren P.
Great beer, great atmosphere. You can order food from another restaurant and have it delivered. Only downside is some slow service and crappy bands.
(4)Nicole Leigh S.
This seems like a business that needs very little in the way of a review. The beer is great. The service was spot on. The atmosphere was dark, smoldering and wonderfully crisp. I adored everything about it and will definitely be making it a regular, close-to-home, hang out.
(4)Nicole F.
All I have to say is....beer, beer and more beer! Love it!! And I dont even mind that they dont serve food. There are so many other restaraunts around to get a bite to eat anyways. This is a cool place to hang out with friends, have a couple of different good beers from all over and do some catching up!
(5)Thea H.
I always wondered who would be first to move into the Brandon and South Shore area: World of Beer or The Brass Tap. With the expansion on World of Beer all over the state, I'm glad The Brass Tap is still going to make it's own way. My only complaint is that this location doesn't carry Lindemans Framboise but carries every other flavor including the one without the fruit. Lindemans Framboise is not only award winning but arguably the most popular flavor of this lambic. It's disappointing.
(4)Annette G.
I've only been here once, but am definitely a fan. The Brass Tap is one part craft beer emporium, one part sports bar, one part neighborhood bar. Granted, yeah, it's in a mall. But look... it's Florida. Most places are located in, next to, or otherwise associated with, some sort of mall. Also, they have a menu selection of restaurants in the mall THAT DELIVER to the bar. Pretty damn awesome. The beer selection is very, very impressive. Particularly what they have on tap. Always check to see what is on special before ordering. Pricing is fair but not cheap. I was impressed with their happy hour selection though, and definitely helped save some green. So why not the full monty? Well... I didn't dig the obnoxiously loud 2 man band that started playing during our visit. Also, our waitress didn't really know much about the beer. She couldn't really answer our questions, and compared HB to Bud Light. (Really? Seriously? Bah!) It really is a pretty great bar, one that serves great beer without all the hipster 'tude that usually goes with it. Brass Tap, I'll be back!
(4)Katie B.
The Brass Tap is a nice addition to the quickly expanding Brandon Mall. Situated next to The Cheesecake Factory, they've easily won my heart with their booze/dessert proximity. So they don't serve food. While that's somewhat disappointing, they do understand that even drunks with the best intentions occassionally get hungry. To that end, they keep menus on hand for the surrounding mall restaurants which, I'm told, will actually deliver to the bar. Not too shabby. They seem to have some nice happy hours (including $1.50 off all drafts all day on Sundays) and, most importantly, they have Magner's (though, unfortunately, not on draft). All in all, it's a really nice atmosphere. The outdoor seating area is nice and while I was there they kept the doors to the inside open, as well. Granted, it was a nice day and I doubt they do that in the blistering heat of summer. The service was good, the drinks were reasonably priced, and it gave me an excuse to knock one back on a Sunday afternoon. I'll definitely be coming back here again.
(4)Jamie R.
Great place to chill and have a beer. Still surprised that they do not have any food, not even peanuts.
(4)Heather B.
Oh yeah this place rocks even though technically its at the mall, it really isn't in the mall. Tons of tasty brews on tap and great fun people watching too!
(5)LifeLover L.
best place to hang out in Brandon....out of the places. My only issue is the service. its either good or horrible
(4)Kyle S.
Lots of beers, good crowd. Oddly felt isolated from the rest of the world when here after everything closes around it. Like you hiked to a hidden cove of beer paradise.
(4)AdriCachi P.
Went to this bar a few months back for the first time after a day of shopping and have been back a few times since. I LOVE this spot. Had a good time drinking GREAT beer with friends last night while listening to some live music. the Brass Tap has a nice classy bar/pub feel and the service is always great! The staff there is very helpful and since they have SUCH A HUGE SELECTION of beer to pick from they are always happy to help and suggest something you may enjoy. Who knew I could love the taste of beer so much? Any type you like.... THEY GOT IT! Keep up the great work! See you soon!
(5)April M.
Clueless waitresses, crappy service, and crappy music. Beer is gold, but the environment makes me cringe.
