Awesome place. Had the German Chocolate cyclone. Reminded me of Hanks frozen custard up north. Staff and customers were friendly.

Sweet and yummy. Loved the flavor of the week - butterscotch. Counter girls were friendly. Easy. and quick special treat.

Awesome place. So much better then DQ or Baskin Robbins. Stumbled on to this place shortly after moving to the area. Always great. The only downside is be certain employee. She seems to lack people skills. But other then that great place.

I decided to return once again. I get take out from the Chinese place next door, and I was drawn in by the "Chocolate Covered strawberry" flavor of the day sign. Maybe I've just gone at bad times before, but this evening I was actually offered samples and all my questions were answered courteously. The chocolate covered strawberry custard is phenomenal! Slowly warming up to this place!

Pretty good custard but pricing is WAY high and hiw they price is a little out of wack. I ordered my wife and kids all medium size custards and they cane in different sized cups. This immediately created a fight between my 9 year old son and 6 year old daughter. To many places to go and get a cool treat at 25 to 30% less money and 100% less headaches!

Friendly.....and good customer service. The custard is delicious, many different flavors.

Love the custard. I have a lot of mid west roots and I have eaten my fair share and this cures your hankering. I love the passion of the owners and the fact that they were willing to take a risk. Do yourself a favor and stop in. German chocolate custard is the ish.

I love ice cream, but there's something special about custard. Got the vanilla (because I figure if you can't do vanilla right, you need not do anything else) and hubs got a mix. Both were deliciously creamy and decadent. Great product, location is somewhat hidden, but a great hidden gem!

I love ice cream, and Purdy's is the place I go for the best frozen custard I have ever had! Family owned and operated it is a very welcome addition to Brandon. The Cyclone is my fav. You get a choice of chocolate or vanilla and have an endless assortment of mix-ins or toppings. They make the frozen custard right there in the store. I have taken all my family there and everyone gets exactly what they want. Fresh and delicious!

The location is odd, in a small nearly-abandoned plaza in the middle of a residential area, but the custard is fantastic!! You can purchase custard in quarts or pints to take home also. Worth the trip if you love frozen custard!!

Great custard that has that amazing texture. I love the caramel crunch! The service was speedy and dedicated. They should look into a new location though. Also don't use apple maps to get here!! It was going to make me walk here from Chilt Dr! Haha

CUSTARD NAZIS: I'm a fan of the underdog and was thrilled to see another cold treat place give this location a try. The attraction of a small business to me is that hometown feel. Unfortunately, good old fashioned customer service is lacking. Vanilla custard was a treat to me tongue. However, the chocolate shake was almost bitter in taste. When I requested a replacement (that cost less), I was charged for it. I was told that the could not reuse the shake. The girls running the place (one told me she was the owner's daughter) moved at a snail's pace with one just standing there while the other prepared 7 desserts. This took almost 15 minutes. Recommend the owner invest on personable and peppy help and complaint resolution policies. I will not be back.

There are no frozen custard shops in the area where we live in Pasco County, so on a recent trip to the Brandon area we stopped in to have dessert before dinner, on recommendations from some friends who raved about it. Our party had a variety of flavors - Red Velvet cake, Gingerbread, Snickerdoodle & German Chocolate. A couple of "savory" flavor options or mix-ins would be a nice alternative also - what about vanilla custard with caramel, bacon and pretzel, or chocolate spiced with chipotle? While each of what we ordered tasted good, I'm not sure if I was impressed enough to make the trip just for the sake of the custard - it just wasn't what I was hoping or as good as some of the chains out west. I do hope the shop is successful, because the current location is a bit odd, but who knows, they might bring life back into that little shopping center!
