Not really any seating. No air conditioning inside but the bagels are fresh and kettle-cooked. Kind of a hole in the wall. I'm sure we would never want to know just how dirty the kitchen is. But the bagel tasted like sweet, sweet love.

Not many good Bagel shops in the Tampa Bay area but this place stands out above the rest. Being a New Yorker I know what bagels are supposed to taste like and this place is like trip to the NY area almost. Great selection of Bagels and cream cheeses. One of best things about this place for me is thankfully I don't live nearby otherwise I'd be here daily.

This place is really good. We had a breakfast bagel ham egg and cheese. All of it was fresh

The bagels were pretty good for Florida standards. The service wasn't the greatest, otherwise I'd think it was 4 stars. I might try Einstein bagels next time just to compare. The lady was all in an rush and got the order wrong even though it was 10AM and the place was empty.

Always great service and Great bagels... Always fresh and never frozen like the rest of the places in town

Went here because a friend told me they had Taylor ham & great bagels... For everyone writing " I know NY bagels" obviously hasn't been back to NY/NJ in a LOONNNG time. These don't compare, not by size not by taste & barely by texture. I got a seasonal pumpkin bagel which tasted like a plain bagel with a dash of pumpkin pie spice. My husband had a true jersey Classic Taylor ham & cheese on a bagel. The ladies were so over whelmed, confused & made his Taylor ham on a griddle you can buy at walmart. It was undercooked & had 2 pieces on the sandwich. Never been back. Would rather not have any bagels. I gave them 2 stars for effort.

I had high hopes, but the hype fell short. The bagel shop is quite run down and in need for some renovation. I went with an egg and sausage bagel, coffee and the chocolate chip cookies. I would have been just as pleased with a bagel sandwich from McD's, and the cookies were about as good as the nestle squares in the refrigerated aisle in the grocery store. The coffee was good though so there is one positive.

What a pleasant surprise! I try to bring in treats every now and then for work an since it was a rainy day today, it was perfect timing. When I walked in I was greeted by the ladies behind the counter, they made me feel like I was at home. I wanted to get a lot of bagels so they took the time and went thru all of my options and different menu choices that would cover all basis for a large group. They had an array of homemade cream cheese, I tried the chive and it is officially my new favorite. The assortment of bagels and sandwiches I purchased were fair priced and got rave reviews from any and all that tried them. I even got a call asking where they were located so a friend could go themselves. The only issue I had was the coffee, when I went to pour myself some a regular it was empty, then a columbian also empty I'm not sure which I settled for but once I did the milk and half and half were also both empty. I will make the trek to them again, and soon.

This is the best bagel shop I have found in this area.....and the only one that makes bialys----a form of bagel-dough, but without hole and containing an indented area with tangy onion. Regrettably, they are not well-known so they only make a few each day and sell out early. I have found them only in NYC and Miami Beach....and not lately, But the very helpful server explained we can come early, or call ahead to reserve, or she will bring them to us since she lives in out part of town!!! Can service get better than that?!?. We did end up getting a half dozen of fine mixed bagels, including a few "flagels," which are smaller, flattened & crispier than regular bagels, They had a fine selection of multi-grains, pumpernickel, sesame, poppy, cheese, onion, "everything" savory, and several sweet bagels---cinnamon, chocolate chip, honey-wheat, etc. A half-dozen for $4.50, and a bakers dozen for $9. They also make sandwiches, including breakfast versions with a variety of sides. Plus flavored cream cheese to go, including lox, veggie, cinnamon, etc. We got the lox and it was great as a schmear on the bagels. We do not dare face the Brandon traffic often, but this is worth returning. And next time we will remember to try the Russian Tea Biscuits.

This is the best bagel shop in town. As good as any H&H bagel back home in NYC. Einstein bagels is right down the block; bigger place, more selection and more seating. Who needs 'em? Go to Brandon Bagels for the real deal. Excellent bagels (and good bagel selection) good eggs and sausage, good coffee, good people. Go there. (BUT go EARLY - they sell out fast!)

Delicious bagels and flavored cream cheeses, as well as, barney's coffee. The service is excellent and they are quite inexpensive. Give these people a try...you'll never go back to the chain bagel places again.

A Tree Grows In Brooklyn ... and so did the good Jewish Bagelry decades ago. Having grown up there I claim to know a thing or two about real pizza .. and bagels. Most accessible bagels today are from frozen dough from one of the major vendors like Guttenplans. These are the "fresh" bagels you see in your supermarkets like Publix in the south or Stop & Shop in the north. They have as much in common with a real bagel as the pizza from Costco does with genuine tomato pie. Hey, I happen to like the Costco product and routinely get a slice when there, but it isn't pizza. So to Brandon Bagels, much credit is deserved, they really try. A true bagel is boiled then baked. Brandon claims kettle cooking, and I cannot say whether there is a baking process after the water bath. Their bagels do come close to 4 star. Unfortunately they make the mistake of many, make bagels that are huge in "height". They become cake and doughy and lose quite a bit of what makes a bagel - a bagel. That said if in the area in the early hours I would try them. If you ever happen into the Monmouth County - NJ area ... track down a Gems Bagels (Hazlet / Middletown area). You'll see how this all should be done.

This place is tied for the second best bagels I've been able to find in Florida since I moved from NJ! I love it, I just wish the drive from Lakeland to Brandon wasn't so, unfun. But the bagels are great, the employees are friendly, and they are definitely worth the drive to get. Anyone who says you can't have New York-style bagels in Florida hasn't been here!

When I am up early and in the neighborhood I generally make it a point to go here for a bagel. They are inexpensive, tasty, and fresh. The decor is nonexistent, but who cares the bagels are that good. This is not a place to sit down and enjoy, you go in grab your stuff and leave. Just like the previous person stated, if you want to sit down go home.

It's been years since I've been here, but memory serves well. As with most good bakeries, the folks at Brandon Bagels arrive well before dawn, crank out a day's batch, and go home when they sell out. If you wake up unreasonably early one day, stop by and get yourself a dozen to slice and freeze before they can see the light of dawn. Unlike many of the things sold at their nearby drive-thru "competition" (and whoever thought those... things... were bagels, an Einstein he ain't), these bagels are not just "a roll with a hole". For one thing, they're boiled. Real bagels are boiled before they're baked. This store has a machine devoted to the boiling of bagel dough -- that's how serious they are. And you'll know the difference when you rend the glutinous carapace from the soft bready interior with your canines. If you've got fresh veggies at home, get cream cheese anywhere you want. If you're bringing bagels to the office, get a tub or two of the veggie cream cheese here -- made here, of course, with honest chunks and slices of tasty vegetables. And if you've got a sweet tooth, by all means get yourself a "Russian tea biscuit", the mother of all rugalach. If you don't know what rugalach are, oy vey; a Russian tea biscuit has cinnamon and currants and other treats wrapped up in pastry dough that approaches the tenderness of shortbread but valiantly holds everything together long enough for it to land in your pupik. ("What's a pupik?" Oy, you kids, don't you know a basic English word like pupik?) This is a take-out joint. You want to sit down? Go home. And hurry... your bagels are still cooling.

Chris from Plant City These the best bagels by far. I moved here from Philly and was spoiled on great bagels it is hard to find bagels that are made right and these are the best. What I call lovingly as Jewish Dougnuts. You can't beat them. Will get my fix on Sunday very early to make sure I get the best pick You have to go there and you will see that what everyone here has said it Number One can't be beat at all

This is the nearest thing to a New York deli bagel. They're water cooked, not spritzed with steam. This is my go to place for bagels. I love their cinnamon raisin. The garlic ones are great for making pizza bagels. They were on Bloomingdale Av many years ago. So if anyone "lost" them, they're on Brandon Blvd.
