I have eaten at this Thai restaurant many times and have tried many others. This is the place I always return to. The lunch specials are a bargain, soup, egg roll and entree with many choices. Menu is extensive and is only Thai food. I've brought friends here and everyone has always enjoyed their dinners.. Or lunches. There are very places where you can go and say ' I've never had a bad meal or bad service' but this is one of those places.

We stopped by Thai Lotus while passing through Bradenton on vacation. I am a serious Thai foodie. The basil chicken I had was absolutely phenomenal. I have had this dish a thousand times. For me, this was the best. Perfectly seasoned and extremely spicy! I wish I was a local. I would eat here everyday. Hats off to the chef!

This place is a hidden gem. Everything we've had- from the curry to the noodle dishes- has been incredible. The Thai tea is absolutely perfect- an amazing blend of creamy and sweet. We also love the crab Rangoon- it's curry based filling gives it an unexpected flavor. I'm going to eat my way through the whole menu.

Great ambience, food and service! Pad Thai with appetizers and soup for under $10 that is authentic and balanced? Can't go wrong.

Great food at amazing prices. The owners are very gracious and always willing to recommend something new, especially to those of us who aren't incredibly daring. You really can't beat the flavor and the deal.

Great lunch specials for less than $7.00 ($2 more if you order shrimp instead of chicken or beef). Today I was there for lunch and ordered the Pad Thai with chicken. I was asked what level of spicy I wanted and I went for medium. Medium was just right-- a little bit of a kick but not so much my eyes were watering. The lunch special also came with a choice of 2 soups and I opted for sweet and sour soup which was delicious. The soup arrived with a deep fried spring roll, also very good. If you are looking for a tasty and fast lunch, this is the place to try. Lunch was served within 10 minutes of ordering and the bill also arrived quickly when I was ready to go. There are a lot of lunch specials to choose from in the $6.99 range which will include a cup of soup and a spring roll. I'm not sure what the deal is with the crappy reviews here. I've had several lunches here and they've been consistently high quality and fast. Service has always been good. It can be a little hard to find as it is buried in a strip mall behind a McDonalds. Look for the golden arches and turn in that driveway and head to the back of the shopping complex to find this restaurant.

My husband and I absolutely love this place! We love the food and the staff. We go as much as we can. I love the red curry and tofu. I highly recommend it.

I am pretty disappointed of quality of the dishes. They are extremely sweet. If you are looking for real Thai food, this is not a place.

I brought some of my co-workers here for lunch to try this place out. It is hidden in the corner of a shopping center off of Cortez Road. The interior décor is authentic and beautiful, and the music played is calming. You will get top-notch service here, so don't hesitate to come here during lunch in a time crunch like we did, because everything was served promptly. It also helps that their entire menu is posted on their website with photos, so you can arrive already knowing what you would like to order. This establishment is located almost directly across Cortez from Thai Palace, but what makes them different is their unique range of menu selections. I made sure to try their Thai Fresh Spring Rolls ($3.25), which are the same thing as Vietnamese Gio Cuon, but with a sweet chili sauce instead of the peanut sauce normally served with this style roll. Their Roll Tee ($5.95) was also a unique dish, which is usually called Roti Pratha or many of the other names used for this pancake dish normally served at Malaysian restaurants. It is a handmade thin pancake cut into slices and served with a coconut based curry for dipping. The Thai Tea ($2.50) is your standard smoky delicious tea with cream, and is a little on the sweet side. All of the lunches are served with a Fried Spring Roll and Soup of the Day (photo). When we were there, the soup was a delicious onion and beef flavored broth with some rice and vegetables. I decided to be boring and order the Tofu Phad Thai ($6.99 lunch), but it was my first time ordering Thai Hot. It only made me mildly uncomfortable, but you could really taste the bitterness of the dried chili flakes that were used, which began to overpower the dish after a while. The noodles were broken very short, there was not much peanut flavor, and the red oil was a little bothersome. There are definitely better places for Pad Thai in the area. My co-worker ordered Sweet & Sour Shrimp ($8.99 lunch) and chose the Medium spiciness. When it arrived, it was too spicy for her. But, the server was kind enough to return with a new freshly made dish with Mild flavor for her within minutes. The waitress handled the situation in the best manner possible and we had excellent service. We were all so full that we could not get around to ordering the Thai Donuts. I will definitely be returning soon to try more dishes here, because I feel like I have just scratched the surface with what Thai Lotus has to offer. Next time, one of the coconut curries will definitely be consumed.

Food is great. Lunch prices are even better at $6.00 a plate. Great service and good people run the place.

OK Lunch. This was good in a pinch and if you happen to be in the neighborhood. There is significantly better Thai in the area so I wouldn't go out of my way to eat at this one.

Terrible experience. I walked into the restaurant two cutsomers were engaged in a loud anti Obama racist conversation. The waistress seated me in the middle. I wanted to walk out immediately. Come to find out one of those engaged in the racist conversation was the owner of the restaurant who was also intoxicated. The service was poor the food was worse. I should have followed my instinct and walked out. If you want good thai in Bradenton go a few more miles down on Cortez for Thai Palace.
