This is a brand new establishment opened about two weeks ago. Four of us went for dinner. We were served first with a steaming hot Subgum Pan fried noodle with pork, beef, chicken and Shanghai bok choy. The Hong Kong style noodle was pan fried and crispy. You can smell the aroma from the dish. An excellent selection! The second dish was a Peking Pork Chop. The pork was firm, and crisp with a slightly sweet glaze that does not overwhelm the tenderness of the pork. They are better than many Peking Pork Chop served in New York and San Francisco Chinatown! The third dish was Orange Flavored Beef with its dried orange peel sauce served over steamed white rice and broccoli. The last dish was the Honey Walnut Shrimp. The shrimp batter was little on the heavy side. Our personal favorite was the light beer batter. Nevertheless, we finished and enjoyed our meal. We will return for dinner again and will try the Dim Sum for lunch!

Great food. Extensive menu. Great service. The staff was very friendly. The restaurant was very clean. My new favorite go to for Chinese. Will be back often.

EXCELLENT food and service - first time there but definitely not the last Decor is very refreshing and not tacky like some oriental restaurants

Finally! A decent, sit-down Chinese restaurant in the Lakewood Ranch area. The food was so tasty and fresh. The vegetables were crisp, fresh, and not overcooked (which is what you usually find in most take-out places). I had the amoy rice noodles (mei fun) and crab rangoon. The portions were generous and I had plenty left over for dinner. My friend had vegetables/rice and an egg roll. Can't wait to go back and try some different selections! Definitely worth a try.

We decided to try this place out since Maemi was packed next door. Perhaps our desire for Peruvian and sushi skewed our thoughts of this nice looking Chinese restaurant. The positives: this place is very clean and the owners are friendly and happy to help. The dining room is roomy and nice. Bathrooms are very nice and clean. However, we only received four menus for our party of six. The food was not quite as good as our favorite takeout place. We ordered the lunch specials, but had to ask for the egg rolls. The egg rolls were very good- especially compared to our meals. We tried the lo mein (my daughter didn't eat any more than a bite as she didn't care for it), Genera tsos chicken (okay, but lacked spice), sweat and sour chicken (typically a favorite of my daughter, but she only ate a few pieces), and beef and brocolli (meat tasted a bit rubbery - I opted not to finish that either). We were the only customers at the time, which was a lite awkward. Coke and Pepsi are available, but only in cans. I was craving the great coke and crushed ice from Maemi. Next time, we will head on over to Moes if Maemi is packed. The owners seem so nice. Perhaps adjusting the menu to offer fewer choices and highlight the meals other yelpers seem to have enjoyed.

Having visited Hong Kong, and lived in the NYC area, I'm confident that I can judge good Chinese food, even if it is the American variety Chinese food. What sets this restaurant apart from other chinese restaurants, is the quality of the ingredients and how they are prepared. The chicken is pure white meat, and never over-cooked. The beef or pork fried rice is always steamy, but never oily or greasy. If you like your Chinese with a bit of heat, just ask for it, no need to mark in on the menu. They will tailor your dish in any way you like, because they make it fresh, not sitting in huge pots on burners all day long. We LOVE this restaurant and will continue to return over and over. They have takout too, so go ahead and call ahead and pick it up. Worth every cent.

Went here with friends last night, I was thoroughly impressed! This isn't your run of the mill Chinese takeout MSG filled food, this is fresh and delicious. I ordered the sesame chicken. It was nice and tender, and the brown sauce tasted house-made instead of something from a can. My friend ordered the beef fried rice, and I tried some. It was very flavorful without being over salted and bland! The decor of this place was modern and clean, with high ceilings and a nice atmosphere. The only complaint is that the coke I ordered tasted a little watered down, but it was likely due to the fact that it was 90% ice, but free refills! I would definitely recommend this place!

Update: FOOD POISONING!!!! Nothing special. We ordered the roast duck, Chinese broccoli, chow fun and Peking pork chop. Duck was not fresh and not warmed up properly since parts of the duck were still cold. The staff were attentive but I will not be back. I would not recommend this place for authentic Chinese food. It was very disappointing since a lot of reviews kept saying how great they were.

Holy smokes. Visiting the area and stumbled upon this place. As we were being seated, an older gentleman told us we would love it. Boy, was he right. The food was brought to the table VERY quickly and once it started it didn't stop until the last plate was served. We had: steamed pork dumplings, crabmeat Rangoon, mongolian beef, orange chicken, shrimp fried rice, and salt and pepper breaded squid. I recommend them all - worth noting that if you don't like spice, I'd skip the orange chicken. The servers were on point and very attentive of the table. Would definitely come again if in the area and would recommend it to everyone.

Yummy , I had Chinese broccoli, seafood pan fried noodle , beef chow fun , beef snow peas....wonton soup , and my favorite chicken fried rice with salted fish so good ! I would definitely go back . Only wish the had dim sum for dinner too. I wanted to try that some day . Very nice and clean restaurant!

My lovely wife and I ate here for the first time today. The food is fresh and delicious, best Chinese I have had in Sarasota or Bradenton! Service was very good. We will be back. We will no longer use our old Chinese restaurant. This is our new go to restaurant for Chinese food! By the way... the hot mustard is the real deal.. so eater be ware....

Not the greatest chinese food i've eaten, must say I got fooled by the other yelpers on this one.. The food didnt taste that much at all and the softdrinks really tasted unfiltered water. On the upper hand it was not that expensiv and the staff was nice.

We had dim sum and other stuffs from the menu which was very good, authentic and good service. The place is very clean and presentable. Also the price is very reasonable. We will be back!!

Yelpers did it again! Home run on the reviews, thank you! Traveling and hungry, we wasted no time checking this place out straight from Yelp. Located in a new strip mall among a brand new Shopppng area. This is the place to be for shopping till you drop. Clean, new eatery, this place has authentic NYC style Dim Sum and Chinese Basics. Best Dim Sum menu ever, colored, clear photos with descriptions and prices. Most unknown fact is their private almost hidden room in the back. A beautifully decorated room, Perfect for private group meals or business lunches I told them to keep the light on and the door open. Nice enough to bring a date, yet you can bring the kids too. Sadly there's a huge tank with one big lobster trying to escape, good for entertaining but made me ill seeing it as a vegetarian Owners are chinese and try hard to please, basically make anything you want. Reasonable prices for fresh, tasty Asian chow Excellent chow fun and Dim sum beats Yummys. Extraordinarily clean and updated restrooms. That's worth a visit to validate in itself. When have you seen a clean restroom in a chinese eatery? Introduced owners to Yelp so I get kudos there too! Def returning and adding it to my trip itinerary, you should too.

This is an update after eating dim sum at Moon Wok. The dim sum is much better than their regular menu. My favorite items are anything using their rice noodles, such as; Beef Rice Paste, Shrimp Rice Paste, and Cruller Wrapped in Rice Paste. All are covered in a sticky sweet soy sauce, or have the sauce on the side. The quality of the rice paste noodle dishes is above and beyond some of the best dim sum I have had. I would choose to order the Shrimp Rice Paste over the Har Gow in the future. Ask for their chili oil, it is house-made and full of hydrated flavorful chilis. Bot the dried flakes. Also, the the crispy fried taro is excellent. I really did not like the Salt Pepper Squid, because they use an old school corn starch batter and the squid rolls up into tube with raw batter inside. The topping is also just diced white onion and bell pepper. For Salt Pepper dishes, there is a much better Cantonese restaurant in Sarasota. I would give their dim sum 4 stars overall. Their regular menu only 3 stars. Dim sum is somewhat limited in items and can be ordered from 11am to 3pm. Recommend to call ahead and confirming that is being served before arriving and being surprised. There was only one lobster in the tank today, he was sad.

Ive been here 3 times now and the food is sooo good..seriously the best chinese food in Sarasota..the g tsos always tastes so fresh and the sauce for the sweet and sour has a suttle sweetness and they dont drench the chicken in the sauce either which keeps the crunch consistent from bite to bite. Excellent!
(5)Jane S.
Really excellent, and specifically Chinese, cooking. Like you remember Chinese restaurants. I have not had their dim sum but I will report back on it soon.
(5)Nathan N.
By far the best Chinese food (if not food in general) I've had in Sarasota. The food is always ready fast and my dumplings are always excellently prepared.
(5)Heidi G.
It was food. They were out of Chinese broccoli so I got bok choy, couldn't even finish it. My son got mixed veggies, we could eat them, but that's about all I can say. Will not be back...terrible, dull, bland...service not much, but not awful.
(1)Carol C.
The food is delicious and not just your typical boring Chinese food. They have really interesting menu items. Take out is quick. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Only complaint.....for as beautiful as the restaurant is, they ruin it by leaving the overhead fluorescent lights on. It takes away the potential for great ambiance and makes me only want to order for take out instead of dining in.
(4)Kent K.
Great, authentic menu in lwr. Finally. Best chinese in the area by far!!! And casually elegant atmosphere, all combined to surprise me when i stumbled across this place for lunch. Order shredded pork with pickles!
(4)Frank R.
Great place excellent food and service great decor and big menu very very good. ( But not Yummy house , Yummy House still 5 star San Francisco style food ) we will go back many more times as the staff was great menu very nice. Hope all the Chinese buffets go away someday with their cold food and over cooked tasteless vegetables,........... Oh forgot very good DimSum
(4)Melissa M.
Dim sum was terrible yummy house dim sum is wayyyyy better Unfurtnatly is so dirty that I won't be going there. We ordered fried rice and chow fun none of those were good.

Little mom and pop shop with pretty standard Asian fare. Service was nice and quick and the food is decent. The prices are a little high though, 14$ for a plate of orange chicken.
(3)Carmine L.
Nice looking little place. Great service. Food is just OK, kind of bland without much flavor.
(3)Dane A.
My girlfriend and I have been there about 12 times in the past 8 months. And have tried a wide variety of things on their expansive menu. And it has all been very good. Her favorite is the garlic chicken. Mine would be beef and broccoli or general Tao's chicken. They have very good appetizers as well. And their house special fried rice is great! We get about three meals every time and two or three appetizers and it comes to around $60. And they're very good sized portions. We have leftovers for 2 days. Its a 30 minute drive away but very much worth it for us.
(5)Danielle S.
Tried the house lo mein for lunch take out. I was surprised that they only had one size, large, for $11.95, especially for lunch. The flavor was ok, nothing to make me order from there again.
(3)Shari B.
I don't know if family wrote reviews for this typical nasty New York style stale , wrong and no flavor food. But I went by reviews on yelp and tried it! I should have got a clue when I walked in at lunch time on Saturday and I heard crickets.... The place was dead and food was a high price take out garbage!
(1)Nancy N.
We found that Moon Wok is comparable to Yummy, but far more quiet and less crowded. Food is fresh, made on site, service always remarkably excellent. Try it. Superior to most Chinese restaurants in this area.
(5)Fran C.
Authentic, very savory, and delicious Chinese food! Reminds me of mom and dad's cooking! Cute decor. Cute staff. My belly was very satisfied. Will come again for sure
(5)Rob S.
First time having dim sum and it was fantastic. The menu laid everything out in such an easy way and the food was spectacular. Great place...would definitely go there again!
(5)Joy S.
Not bad but not great. Started with asking for Jasmine tea an 2 waters. The water tasted like wet dirt smells. And the tea was just plain tea and it's loose in the pot so when you you drink it you must sip slowly. We ordered one egg roll and one spring roll and pan fried dumplings. The dumplings were quite good 6out of 10. The egg roll was lacking in filling and flavor therefore a 3. The spring roll was a 6. I had the War Ba with chicken and shrimp and it was good but need a little more flavor so I added soy sauce. I was disappointed in the veggies. Waitress said it came with certain veggies and it did not. No bokchoy and just the bottoms of napa cabbage a few mushrooms and three pcs of broccoli there was some other veg in there but not what I was looking for or told was in there. Hubby had the Amoy noodles. Good clean flavor but not amazing also had to add soy and some mustard. Not sure if we will be back. Yummy house is the same distance and we have always loved the food there.

First I was surprised at how few people were there for lunch. The food was Ok but not great. There is a mixture of chinese and thai dishes for lunch. The portions were fine for lunch. Most lunch dishes were soup or egg roll and entrée with rice for around $7.50 to $7.95.

The best Chinese restaurant in Bradenton/Sarasota by far. Very fresh, great seasonings, nice atmosphere. So glad to finally have a quality place like this here.
