We've been going to China Village for several years now. The menu is your pretty standard American-style Chinese cuisine found in almost every strip-mall. While the menu lacks the trendy dishes found at some Chinese restaurants the food is fresh, cooked well and served by friendly wait-staff. The owner Tina is nice as she can be. If you are looking for trendy go to Yummy House. I've tried about a dozen dishes at China Village and the Pan Fried Noodles are a real standout, some of the best I've had. Other dishes are basic fare but prepared well and served in a pleasant atmosphere. I do wish they would get some new Hong Kong style dishes but I'm not sure the older clientele would welcome or appreciate them.

What a disappointment and waste of $38! Pork fried rice had a black hair in it... Hawaii 5-0 was suppose to be tempura chicken, shrimp and pork but it was more like mush! Disgusting!

This is absolutely the best Chinese food on town, maybe the world. Always crowded, food always hot and fresh. My favorite is Shrimp Egg Foo Young. My wife enjoys Chicken with Chinese veggies, minus the corn (due to allergy) If you are in a hurry, you might be disappointed, so allow enough time for the freshly prepared meal to arrive. They are closed the entire month of July so we had to go to plan B tonight. Plan B got a good rating so we are branching out by necessity. Thanks for reading, you won't be disappointed.

This place is the best Chinese food place in town, bar none! The egg rolls are amazing and so is the Lo mein. I recommend the honey garlic chicken.

Short and sweet version: Mediocre food, horrible customer service. Long version: We've been going here for a few months now, probably a total of 5 times. The food is OK. It's not your typical Chinese fast food (which I prefer), but more of an Americanized version (which my wife likes). Very bland. It's basically Chinese food for old people who don't really like Chinese food or flavor. But my wife likes it, so we order from them occasionally. They do have good dumplings though. In any case, tonight is the last time we will ever go back. I placed a to-go order as we've done in the past, and I knew we were in for trouble based on the sound of the person who took the order. They sounded like they had no idea what they were doing. I repeated the order twice and had him read it back to me. Everything sounded fine, but when my wife went to pick it up, they were missing half of the appetizers. She had to go back and wait for them to fix the order. They charged her more for the missing food, which I personally think is a bit ridiculous when it was their screw up and it results in an inconvenience to the customer, but it is what it is. She gets home and I see that they also messed up half of our dinner. It matched the kitchen receipt (which was wrong), so it's clear the person who took the order put it in wrong. Not sure how he did this after reading it back to me, but apparently people can be that stupid. Even with the annoyance and inconvenience of the messed up order, I wouldn't be that upset - mistakes happen. But I was obviously a bit upset and called to speak to a manager. I wasn't looking for anything since we weren't going to drive all the way back again, I just wanted to let them know about the issue since the person answering the phone either needs better training or a more appropriate position there (bus boy maybe?). To put it bluntly, the manager was very rude and condescending. I explained how they messed up our order twice. She snaps back "Oh, he mess up your order? I guess I go fire him now for that." in a clearly sarcastic tone. I explain that I don't appreciate her condescending response and that I'm not saying he should be fired, but that, as management, it's her job to make sure people can do the jobs they are hired for properly, and messing up an entire order after reading it back means they either don't know how to use their computer system, or they just don't care enough to get it right. She starts arguing with me about the situation, so I just hung up. I can put up with a lot of problems in a restaurant, but when the staff show purposeful rudeness to their paying customers after they caused a problem, that's something I don't tolerate. From now on, we'll go to one of the other dozen Chinese restaurants within a 3 mile radius that has better food and much better service.

This restaurant is close to me and I have been there many times. I also order take-out. The combination house special fried rice is excellent. I have always had good food there and found the staff very friendly. I have never had any bugs in my food like Eric P.

We have been eating here for 18 years and the food has been awesome every time! Orange beef is served with fabulous steamed broccoli, and the szechuan pork is tremendous!

By far the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I've been eating here for ten years and would highly recommend it.

I would avoid this place at all costs. My wife and I ordered take out this weekend. Sesame Chicken, Egg rolls, and Vegetarian Spring Rolls. Well, the Spring Rolls weren't exactly Vegetarian considering that they had not one but TWO bugs in them. Unfortunately I eat fast and gobbled my Egg Rolls down before my wife found the little critters. We called them to let them know and they blamed it on the recent rains. Needless to say we asked for our money back and won't go back there EVER again.

Well I have been staying around the area for a long time now and decided to try this place out. When I first got there they were overwhelmed by customers in the restaurant. They couldn't seem to balance giving take out orders to customers that were sitting behind the counter and serving there customers dining in at the restaurant. I thought to myself it must be very popular to have so many guests coming in and out of the doors! Low and behold it only took me 15 minutes to wait to order and 15 minutes for my food so I was not overly upset about it. What upset me was that the food I had ordered was not what I had thought it to be. I noticed that what I ordered was pretty Americanized which is perhaps why it was slightly disappointing. As I looked around in the restaurant everything else looked pretty standard for Chinese food and delicious. I ordered a Sesame Chicken combination dinner with rice, an egg roll, and wonton soup. I also ordered their Crab Angel which is the equivalent of Crab Rangoon. My Sesame Chicken was not what I had expected AT ALL. It ended up being deep friend chicken bites, exactly like what "Sweet and Sour" looks like, and a heaping cup of gelatinous Sesame Chicken sauce on the SIDE. They didn't even bother to coat the chicken. Usually Sesame Chicken has a light breading on it and it also was accompanied by two unseasoned pieces of broccoli straight out of the steamer. I could barely use the sauce as it was too "gloopy." Part of me was wondering if they were just in a hurry or this is how they usually serve food there. My next disappointment came with the Crab Angel. They were freshly fried which was great, but they had no flavor and the crab chunks were so large the texture freaked me out a little bit. Cream cheese is typically suppose to be sweet or even a little sour and it almost reminded me of just eating cottage cheese at that point. Also it did not come with "sweet and sour" sauce like it typically does ...it didn't have anything to go with it. The egg roll and wonton soup were simply FANTASTIC! 2 thumbs up!!! I will not deny that the food definitely seemed fresh as far as ingredients go. I would just caution someone away from ordering the Americanized food and stick with traditional Chinese Cuisine. They were also very nice to the customers. I would eat there again, but I would choose some different options for myself.

This a locally owned family restaurant This place has really good food. The selections are enough to please anyone. The veggies are always fresh. The sauces are not to sweet or heavy. This place is always packed so take out is a good option. English is their second language so check your order before you leave. They don't mean to get it wrong but some times there is some understanding issues. The fried rice has lots of good stuff in it.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
