The Egg & I Menu

Expensive. Decent food. Our waiter was friendly, but we could tell he was overwhelmed and super busy. Coffee needed refilling, as we went through our canister. I never got my water either. Probably won't go back.

Heuvos rancheros is where it's at!!! Delicious! Love the ranch style home fries! The coffee is also delicious!

Walked in to an empty restaurant with 2 tables behind us and 1 table of two females outside- we were barley greeted and asked how many- I let the host know I wanted to sit outside but he said he would have to clear a table (all the other tables outside hadn't been bussed) the host grabbed he waitress who then complained about having to bus her table and sat us at the first table closest to the entry . We waited approximately 7 minutes give or take without even a smile from who could have been our waitress but we really didn't know - and continued to be hopeful- I counted another 30 seconds when I then decided we would leave and go back to the diner across the street ! Which by he way is excellent! Service and food at the diner is amazing! See my review on them!

I'm happy. Their food is really good, not salty, and service is super quick. This is my first time here, but I'm loving it. They garnish with green onions and chives so you get an extra little kick with your eggs (I got the Wisconsin). Parking isn't bad, but I'm sure it would get competitive on the weekends once people start realizing how good it is. It's a little out of my way but I'll definitely be back!

First of all, the coffee offerings are terrific. Great taste and I can get my coffee iced. Win. My gf had the pumpkin waffle and eggs. It looked amazing and she said it delish. I had the normal waffle wish was crisp on the outside and just perfect on the inside. Wait staff was very friendly and the food was cooked to order. Great menu variety. They were a bit slow for not being to busy but I will be returning shortly.

Best breakfast and lunch sandwiches! Absolutely love this place... I'm a regular! I've never ever had bad service and nothing less than yummy food! Don't listen to any bad reviews see for yourself

My family and I look forward to eating at Egg and I almost every Saturday. We've been asking for Lisa to be our server because she is always so pleasant, full of positive energy and accommodating. We have a little one and they provide a sling for his infant seat. The Chicken Chile Hash is the bomb! I love the variety of Tex Mex offerings to Eggs Benedict choices..I like the Parisian with ham and Swiss. From French Toast with cinnamon butter to steel cut oatmeal... I can go on! Only one time I had a minor problem with extra salty grits which they promptly replaced with home fries which are delicious as well.

The menu had many items we were excited to try...however the service was extremely slow. After we ordered our drinks we were never offered refills or water despite our cups being empty. It took at least 15mins before our order was taken despite our menus being closed and pushed to the end of the table. Once we did order (there were only two of us) it took about 30mins before our food came. When it did finally came, it was subpar. With all the breakfast places around, we won't be giving this place a 2nd go.

The food is good but not great and a little over priced as well but portion sizes are decent. The location is convenient and cozy and the restaurant has a nice set up on the inside.

Underwhelming at best. Very sterile and uninviting atmosphere. The wooden benches smell as if I'm sitting on paper lining for a hamsters cage. My egg white omelet was slightly slimy and probably made of whites from a carton. Chicken inside was chewy and the whole thing lacked flavor. Conveniently located across the street from my house but nonetheless disappointing. First time here but won't be coming back to give it a second chance.

The food was delicious, I will give them that. If you can get past the horrible service (all of them seemed like zombies!), and negligence. Fifteen minutes for coffee? Restrooms were out of order? What? But their negligence was inexcusable. They brought scalding hot syrup to the table, and didn't tell us it was hot. My son grabbed the bottle and burned his hand to the point where he needed ice! Manager couldn't care less. Won't be back. :(

This restaurant was very underwhelming for my tastes. The food was not all that good. My omellete was raw/runny. They had no fries and only wheat pancakes. Service was subpar. Had to ask twice for a refill on my water and waited 15 minutes for condiments. Settling the bill was a bit annoying too. The counter was too close to the front door so the line blocks any entry.

Cute place. The server was very nice and attentive. I ordered the Parisian Benedict. It was good not great but good. I think the sauce could be a little richer, but overall it was a good meal. I would come back

If you're looking for something not very memorable, I'd recommend this place. It kind of has a feeling of being a slightly upscale ihop. Pros: - Carafe of coffee, although this seems to be an excuse to not to ask you if you need a refill (or anything else for that matter). At $2.75, I expect more than 1.5 cups! - Big bench tables - good for a big family or semi-large group - Not especially busy the day i was ther Cons: -The french toast was probably about the same I'd make at home, maybe a little worse. We also had the crab cake benedict, which was okay but not fabulous - Service wasn't especially good - no coffee refills, completely forgot part of our order.

I decided to try it out today and there was a very short wait. I ordered Raisin French Toast with Scrambled eggs, bacon and a side of grits. Everything was better then the next. Even the cinnamon butter that came on the French Toast was amazing. Fast service. Definitely a must. The ranch potatoes are also amazing, you must try them

I dined here before by myself and the food, service and price was so good that I recommended it to my friends! We all came on a Saturday morning- three adults, three toddlers and a baby. We were struggling to keep the kids calm and the staff could not have been more accommodating. They were able to help us get settled into a table and were very prompt and courteous with service. When the check came and there was a misunderstanding about coupons, the manager was very nice and sorted it all out for us promptly and with a smile. The food was delicious and the location was clean and beautiful. We love this place! Kid-friendly and great food!

When we walked into the Egg and I the first thing we saw was a hostess leaning onto the stand and complaining to her friend that it was "only 10:00 am ugh this morning is so slow." When they finally made eye contact with us it took them 3 tries to find us a table. Poor planning and organization. Our server clearly has never waited a table in his life. Our food was generic chain restaurant quality. Not fresh ingredients and very greasy. Definitely would never go back. Save yourself the headache and stick to The Diner across the street.

Both my fiancé and I love this restaurant. Every time we have gone here, we have had great serve and even better food! The prices on the menu for the amount of food they're serving is perfectly set. On top of all of this they are one of the few places that actually gives a Military Discount. We will definitely be coming back to this restaurant. On point!

Since my first visit I have been back a number of times. Just cant stay away from the coffee. The food is very good and the service has greatly improved. The manager is right there resolving any problems encountered. The staff goes out of their way to be accommodating. They are a great breakfast place.

Hooray A breakfast / Brunch place that doesn't have a wait in peak season. South Florida has plenty of places to get breakfast, but they all have some limitations. My favorite part about The Egg and I is they serve breakfast til they close, at 2pm. We arrived to no wait, a 1/2 full restaurant on a Saturday morning. The staff were all especially cheerful and friendly. Someone took our drink order and almost immediately someone else showed up and tried to take it again! Can't complain about overservice. The waitress was knowledgeable about the menu and substitutions were no problem. They also have a nice lunch menu but I was there for breakfast. The selection is good. They have some fun things like mini hot cocoa and different exotic pancake options. Also I noticed a bunch of vegetarian and healthy sounding stuff in addition to the traditional stuff. They have some gluten free items as well. Most items come with eggs and a side so the portions are huge. The pancake was giant, they say most people don't finish a single one. The coffee was especially good and they brought a carafe to the table, but it was about $3. Perhaps a little pricey for coffee, but maybe its special?! Overall the prices were reasonable, although not as cheap as some older local places. You do get what you pay for! My apple cinnamon pancake looked great with apple slices and such, but it was very bland tasting overall. I'd get something else next time. My friend got a waffle and loved it, it actually had the logo of the restaurant in the waffle. The homefries or ranch potatoes as they call them are deep fried and very good. Eggs were fluffy. Food took a little while to come out but not terribly long. The restaurant was bright and clean and well it should be since its only been open 5 months. They have a lot of seating and a community room for get togethers that is free. Also free Wifi, Senior and Military Discounts. I usually stay away from chains, but this one seems to be properly run. I would return to the Egg and I for sure.

Very mediocre needs help that is qualified to run the front end. Food was good not great. I'll give another try. It's new so they have to iron out the kinks

I came here with high hopes as I read many positive reviews. Our experience was not that great, the food was ok, wasn't bad, but wasn't great either. What really killed it was service, our waitress was pretty bad, she was slow to come around when needed, our food took forever to arrive and there were a few items she forgot to bring when asked. Again, not a horrible place but nothing that stood out to be great. I will still prefer to go to Crackle Barrel or the Breakfast Shack, which are both awesome. I may come here again and give it a 2nd chance, but our first impression was "ehhh".

Very bright and cheery place. Staff is very friendly and attentive. From the hostess to the server to the manager. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. Only negative from our visit, my brother in law (and the little girl in the booth behind us) were very dismayed there were no buttermilk pancakes available, only whole wheat.

Great spot! I was never a Denny's or any breakfast place for that matter. I always imagined I could make it myself. Not this place, the breakfast is delicious, and the service is incredible. Definitely will come back! The pancakes are huge!!

New to the area so we thought we would have breakfast here on Sunday. They told us that the kitchen was short staffed but we never expected the food to be so BAD!! The spinach omelet was WELL done and flat as a pancake. My Belgium waffle was not cooked through and raw inside, like paste...3 strips of very thin bacon overdone. The whole experience was terrible...neither of us finished our breakfast and to top it off.....the bill was $29.00. Overpriced for such terrible food. Won't be going back ever!!

Staff was very welcoming. Service was excellent. Food was delicious!! Will come back often! Eggs Benedict was perfect, best hollandaise sauce around, ham cooked perfectly. Fresh fruit, bacon and potatoes were also just right! Portions were also excellent!

This is my first yelp review. I only downloaded the app because I am not from this area and was in the mood for a breakfast place. I searched near me for hot and new and found this place. Based on the reviews we went out of our way to find it. About 10 miles. Well with it. Huge hot delicious Corn beef dish with muffin and eggs for 9 bucks. Food came out fast and hot and wait staff was very friendly. Now that I'm done posting I am going to finish my meal :-)

Came here because I went to Nashville and had a good breakfast there. But this is a nee spot and a little packed and slow. After waiting a bit was told they seat people a certain at a time to give the kitchen time to cooked the restaurants patrons food in ten minutes? I advised sit coffee and then make us wait rather than have thirty people infront of the restaurants. Manager and hostess and staff were very understanding and explained it to me . I rather sit and wait. But then I got the food . Very fresh and food worth the wait. And the service impeccable. And they did have free cofee while you waited a first ever!!! So it is tough to see empty tables while you wait bit the food was good. The exceptional omlette was awesome hummm the food was fresh and hot good muffins and of course maybe one of the top pancakes ever in this area . Wheat but I mean really good . Love the ma agement very cool waiter too I'm going back even if I wait longer!

Seriously loving this new spot in Boynton!! We went at about 11am on a Friday so we didn't have to wait but it got pretty busy before we left. The restaurant is new, clean and nicely decorated. The prices are a lil higher than I would like but it's worth every penny. We received excellent service - our waitress Ellyn was friendly, attentive and offered us great suggestions. The food is phenomenal - everything was fresh and absolutely delicious!!! When you want to have a great breakfast, do not hesitate to try this place!

Breakfast food is delicious. Always a good idea in my book! When the Egg and I opened in Boynton, I was quite happy and have dined there multiple times with to go and dine in orders. My ultimate favorite is the Parisian Benedict on a croissant.... a croissant!! Yes, please!! I've had poached eggs before and this is amongst the best. I've tried their lunch sandwiches and recommend the Arizona Turkey.

Amazing!!!! This is a great little breakfast nook. There is a good vibe. Clean, friendly atmosphere. The staff is knowledgable and hard working. No one is standing still and the phone for take out is ringing off the hook. I started with a coffee, they have many flavors to choose from. It is served by the pitcher which is left at the table. The menu had many options to choose from, basic to fancy, healthy to not so healthy. The food was absolutely, insanely good. I had the Parisian Benedict and it was divine. I ate every bite. My boyfriend had the Texas skillet, his only complaint was there was not enough meat. We also had the chicken Apple hash and it was tasty. Prices are totally reasonable. There was plenty of available parking in the lot surrounding even though it was a busy Saturday morning. I cannot wait to return and try something else

This quaint little breakfast place is just perfect. The service is great, they just opened so be patient. The first time here I ordered the Viva La France, the French toast was a good size, tasted better than the one over at The Breakfast Shack, and less of a wait! I now ordered the Apple Cinnamon pancake breakfast and very excited.

My husband and I went here for breakfast on a weekday. The waiter was very insincere and calling everyone buddy dude etc. - grated on my husbands nerves. The oj was good. My husbands food was tasteless and undercooked - when he specifically asked for his eggs to be overhard. I got the chicken hash. The potatoes were undercooked. The meat and veg were seasoned well but the chicken was dry. On a different occasion I have had a burrito from here and it was phenomenal, so that is the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

This is a relatively new place, a large breakfast and lunch diner type establishment. Most of my attendance has been with a large group in their private dining room. Service, even for a large group was excellent. There are many a dishes, as one would expect. Those that I have had were excellent. There is a skillet scrambled type thing that is wonderful. My other favorite there is a chicken salad sandwich served on toast. This place is well worth the visit.

it was average. had biscuits and gravy. eggs were cooked perfect over medium. "rancher" potatoes were overly salty. I was sick before I even left the restaurant.

No no and no. I've come to this Egg & I on multiple occasions since they've opened. The interior is modern and very open. They did a nice job with the decorating. They do offer a free private meeting room as long as you purchase food. The service has always been just OK. I've never seen the same employee twice at this place. I find it to be quite odd to have that much turn over. I've had their eggs Benedict and have found the hollandaise sauce to be watery and have no flavor to it. The eggs have also been over cooked on multiple occasions. The Popeye frittata is decent. It consists of Egg whites, spinach, tomato and chicken. The consistency with this dish has been much better. My only issue is that the taste is bland as they don't season it. So basically I have to load it with salt and pepper to enjoy it. Considering all of my experiences here I can't recommend it in good faith. I also think that there are breakfast places nearby that are more consistent and offer a much better product. To be fair I haven't been here in months so they may have gotten their act together now. I should also state that maybe the food has been inconsistent due to the high employee turn over.

Very cute place, with bright colors inside. Definitely felt comfortable walking in there, and the staff was friendly right from the start. Our waiter, Erik, was fantastic! He was patient and attentive, and our orders were perfect. I had the chicken apple sausage scramble, which was awesome! It came with ranch potatoes (I ordered them extra crispy, thanks to the suggestion of our waiter). My boyfriend had the Vera Cruz (i think that is what it was called)... egg whites, chicken breast, avocado! He said it was awesome, and he also enjoyed his fruit, potatoes, and sourdough bread! We will definitely be back.... Maybe even next weekend to try the seasonal Pumpkin Pecan Waffles!

I really wanted Egg & I to be a our go-to breakfasts place but unfortunately it just wasn't the case. The restaurant is located just off of 95 which makes it easy to get to and the staff was very kind and always accommodating. Flat out, the food was not good. We ordered eggs, bacon, pancakes, and French toast. Upon ordering, our waiter warned us that their syrup was not real and that most regulars bring their own. Very odd and concerning! The eggs we ordered over easy where delivered with a pool of butter on top of them and the French toast and pancakes were pretty much tasteless. The waiter was correct, the syrup was not good at all. We did really enjoy the bacon which was very tasty and crisp. Egg & I has plenty of parking and offers both indoor and outdoor seating.

We've had a wonderful experience at The Egg and I on Gateway blvd. The food was very tasty and my eggs came out perfect. Our server was Courage. A kind looking young man with a gentle demeanor. He's a wonderful server and I love his name. We will be coming back!!

This place seems like a good family restaurant, as they can accomodate fairly large parties and the menu has plenty of breakfast and brunch selections to choose from. A little something for everyone, for sure. I ordered the Cambridge Skillet (highlighted as a favorite on the menu) and I have to say it was very average. The hollandaise sauce was a little flat, the ham was cut into pieces so tiny I could barely get at them with my fork (this would be fine as part of a scramble, but not loosely thrown in a dish like this), and the potatoes reminded me of your average "breakfast buffet" home fries. The portion size was good, and overall it tasted... fine. Sadly, nothing about it made me think I couldn't get similar or better quality elsewhere. I would come back if I was in the area with some family members and we wanted to stop for a quick brunch, but I'd probably stick to pancakes or something along those lines.

I was reminded of the Egg and I last weekend when I discovered Tropical Smoothie. I had been meaning to try this place, flagged it on Yelp and everything, but come time for breakfast I'd always forget about it. Probably and only because it's not on my typical main drag of restaurants. Last weekend, the hubs and I wanted breakfast at 12:30. We were on a bit of a time crunch, but we figured we'd give the Egg and I a chance. Surprisingly, we were not the only ones with a late start because there was a wait when we got there. It took a few for someone to come over to the hostess stand but when they did I was happy to learn it was a less than 20 minute wait. While that was not terrible, and perhaps it was because we were in a bit of a rush, but the wait once we sat down was a little long. I am not one to complain (I didn't to them) and in most cases I don't mind waiting, but it was a while before our server came over to our table. We placed our order when she took our drinks to try to save some time, but in all honesty we waited a while for our food. Left with 20 minutes to eat, hubs quickly enjoyed his biscuits and gravy, ham, and ranch potatoes while I had an egg and cheese croissant. He enjoyed the biscuits and gravy, but he said there was nothing truly special or different about it. The ranch potatoes on the other hand were actually pretty good ( I might have stolen a few.) My egg and cheese croissant was nice and hot, plenty of both egg (scrambled) and cheese and the croissant was buttery and flaky. The only thing I will say is I feel like I could kind of taste the grease that the eggs were made with in my sandwich. I was unable to finish it because it was a fairly large croissant, so the hubs had the rest. He really enjoyed the croissant and said he'd get that next time. I would go back to the Egg and I and most likely try something different.

Went about 9 on a Sunday Morning and it was surprisingly not yet crowded and were seated right away. It was bright and cheery inside a fact both my kids said out loud which I thought was odd (them saying it out loud not the decor). Our waitress Lisa was pleasant, prompt and attentive the entire meal. The coffee was the highlight of the meal. They had 3 choices Dark Roast (Wife and Daughter enjoyed very much) , Hazelnut which I enjoyed and drank the entire pot with one to go. They also had a Season Blend (Pumpkin) which we did not try. I got the Egg-ceptional Omelet for $9.49 and was underwhelmed. It was 98% egg and barely any taste or sausage, ham, bacon, or mushrooms. Mostly just a flavorless big scrambled egg. The potatoes had minimal flavor as well. My wife suggested maybe it was supposed to be a healthy version (think she was joking). My wife got the Blueberry Pancake $9.79. First all the pancakes are whole wheat which is fine if you like whole wheat. She said it had no real taste and only ate half. She had a side of eggs over medium and was unsatisfied with this as well. On a positive my son got the Belgian Waffle Eggspress $8.79. He enjoyed it very much and said it was very filling. (He also said he still likes mine better...just say-in) He said the eggs that came with his meal were OK... but he left most of the eggs on the plate My daughter got the Viva La French Toast $8.79 and was very pleased and said the French Toast melted in her mouth. She said her eggs were good but said her syrup ran on top of them and did not finish them (not the restaurants fault : )

I ordered an omelette that was repeated correctly back to me by the waitress. Yet, somehow the omelette that was initially brought to me was entirely wrong...! That's no problem. What sucks is, why did it take more than three tries?? First, they bring the same omelette back, saying it's correct. Then, they bring two different whole egg omelettes and when I questioned them being egg white, stated they were. It was clear they were not. And, with the last omelette that was brought out, the most correct of them all, I was told the avocado was on its way, to be served as a side. About 5min later, yet another person came to the table stating their avocados were not ripe but they would serve it if I so desired. Worth the extended screwup of a wait? Nope. I am fairly certain I met the entire wait staff, as they sent a new person with every mix up. Although I've never been, it's no wonder the place across the street is packed and this place dead.

The Egg & I is the newest addition to the Gateway and I-95 shopping area in Boynton Beach. My wife and I have dined here twice since their opening and we have enjoyed good food and great service on both occasions. My wife prefers breakfast and I prefer lunch, so it's a win for us anytime we can find a restaurant that serves breakfast all the time. The breakfasts have scored a big thumbs-up from my wife. The eggs are nice and fluffy, the bacon is crisp, and the pancakes are huge! So far I've sampled the white chicken chili, the Reuben, and the cheddar cheeseburger. The soup was very good with lots of chicken. The Reuben was very good with nicely trimmed and shaved corned beef even though the bread could have been grilled more crispy. The burger was good, not exceptional, but certainly satisfying enough. This restaurant scores a +1 for service. Our server, Ellen, has been tops both times. Wi-FI works great with SpeedTest showing 17+Mbps down and 3+Mbps up. Definitely a solid start for this chain restaurant.

3 stars because they're likely still trying to work out the kinks. Unfortunately I experienced them. Service was friendly and courteous. Co-worker order breakfast. I knew I had trouble coming just in the difficulty in ordering a sandwich with side salad vs. half sandwich half salad which are both options. Of course I got the wrong one when only half my sandwich arrived. Her food was good, she said the eggs were very buttery but yummy, decent portion of turkey sausage, but the ranch potatoes were unimpressive. My turkey apple croissant came out not only half a portion but also with ranch on it-not a match for apple butter. The manager stopped over apologized and brought out the other half, as the first half went back to the kitchen. The waiter dropped it off and when I was ready to eat I realized Damn! that's Ham-Oy vey! The correct half was yummy-smoked turkey, apple, Swiss, apple butter. At this point I expected the manager back, but instead I got a really friendly server, the other half of my sandwich to go, a coupon (which I'm pretty sure everyone gets) and a decision to make on if I should come back again?!?!
