I came to try out the restaurant. Upon my entry I received amazing service from my waitress. I wish I asked her name. Highly friendly and quick. I ordered a Reuben, got even more excited when I saw handcut fries. The sandwich was terrific, the fries were delicious even though my prolonged car ride (I did takeout) made them soggy. I will definitely be back. Loses a star (really mean a half star) for not having desserts. I thought that was a prerequisite for all diners. I was very happy with my lunch today.

I have been eating here since my company moved their location nearby. I'm generally not a fan of diners as most are old, dirty and offer absolutely no character. After driving by and seeing this place full at all times I decided to stop by and try it. I'm not going to lie it was also in a newly constructed building so that definitely played a factor in my decision lol. The interior of this place was spotless and did not look like a diner. The plates, glassware and silverware were not old and dirty. They were actually new and spotless. Sorry I had to say that. They have a large menu with sandwiches, salads and of course breakfast items. Their prices are so cheap that it almost seems too good to be true. I love having breakfast foods in the afternoon or evening but not in the morning so I'm only here during lunch time. Their eggs benedict is awesome. They even use pea meal which apparently is real Canadian bacon. Their homemade hollandaise sauce is on point. The eggs are always perfectly poached. They do have fresh cut fries which is a big deal to me. They fry them perfectly too. My go to item here is the power breakfast. It consists of a grilled chicken breast, scrambled egg whites, toast and a mixed fruit cup. The chicken breast is consistently cooked to perfection. The fruit cup is a good size and the fruits have always been fresh. It fills you up and it costs around $9.00. You always see the same faces working and they are friendly. The majority of the customers are regulars. Come try this place out. It puts the nearby competition to shame.

When we drove by last week to try it out, we decided not to since it was packed with people waiting outside. I decided to call in a takeout for breakfast yesterday since I didn't feel like cooking and we honestly were not sure it was going to be a crowd like last time. The lady who took our order over the phone said it would be ready in 10 minutes. Wow! I wasn't expecting it to be done so quickly. After arrival, it wasn't crowded. Maybe it was because it was 8 o' clock in the morning or Labor Day. However, I was informed I was there before the rush and I made great timing because there was a crowd of 10 people that came in behind me. The place is cute and small. It doesn't look like an old fashioned diner and it's very clean. The menu has a bunch of different items to choose from and it's famous for their breakfast items. I was happy to have a BOGO coupon for our two meals, which made the total bill 9 bucks. Wooop! My husband got the 3 egg breakfast with cheese, home fries, bacon, and toast. I went for the Diner with Peameal egg benedict. Both of our meals were huge and delicious. The Canadian bacon is the real deal. We couldn't even eat half of our breakfast and it was so fulfilling. If you're in the Boynton Beach area and looking for something great and quick, check this place out. Thank me later :)

I can't believe I never wrote a review for this place... Let me start by saying I'm not a big diner fan, I just never really felt diners had good food or service until I came here.. It has a nice modern lofty feel but once you sit down and your waitress comes over they make you feel at home.. The service is always good and this place is always packed, but they get you seated pretty fast if there is a wait.. The food is good Im not gonna say its 5 star food cause to me its a diner they give you good food at a good price. The turkey avocado club is my fav thing to get here its freshly roasted turkey and its on thick sliced bread.. I highly recommend The Diner.

Cognitive dissonance. That was my experience at The Diner. We looked it up on Yelp, and it got a very nice 4 stars and some raves. We went there, and are met by a line out the door and a 30 minute wait - a good sign, IMO. But then. We get inside. The menu is full of typos, so many that I think for a minute that it's intentional. But I can't find the humor in "chiken" and "aditional". The coffee is bad - and I usually like bad coffee. We order. French toast and pancakes for the kids, eggs Benedict for da missus, and biscuits and gravy with eggs for me, grits on the side. Da missus orders maple syrup for a bit extra, which comes out early. I restart an old debate, that maple syrup isn't that much better than the fake stuff. We decide to do a taste test, but quickly stop when I taste the fake stuff and it's horrible. Da missus tastes the maple syrup and finds it not very good. So far, The Diner has missed on everything, but maybe the entrees will save it. Nope. The French toast is good, the pancakes are meh. My gravy tastes good, but is room temperature. (And they can't fix that fast; on the placard they proudly announce they have no microwave). Da missus likes her eggs Benedict, but the home fries are flavorless. When the waitress stops by, she offers to put in for a new order of biscuits and gravy, but by this time the kids are done and I just want to get out of this place. I didn't ask for one, but the restaurant did not take the initiative to remove the biscuits and gravy from our tab. In a town with John G's, Breakfast Shack, Real Wok and many other excellent Sunday morning choices, The Diner has to up its game in a huge way if it wants to be anything but "better than McDonald's."

i went there based on a recommendation from a coworker. My first impression was they were very crowded. There wasn't a line, or a wait to be seated, but there was only one open table for me, and it was covered with the plates and dishes from the previous customers. My waitress Rhonda quickly came and cleared it off. I ordered the burger with Pepper Jack and fries. It came within seven or eight minutes of ordering it. I was impressed. In those seven or eight minutes I noticed there were at least five servers, and they were hopping. I could tell they were all self assured and experienced. They all looked like they knew what they were doing. I would give the servers and cooks five stars, or an A for their professionalism. I would give the burger four stars, or a B as an all around burger. It was obviously hand pattied, and had a good flavor, but it wasn't sensational. The toasted bun was a little too dry. It fell apart in a couple places during the course of eating. The meat could have been a little bit juicier. Overall, they get a solid B+ for my one visit there. They serve breakfast all day, and a wide assortment of lunches, but don't go there for supper, as they close at 4:00.

The food was amazing! Huge portions. They even have real maple syrup and organic ketchup!

At 2pm on a Saturday we had no problem getting a table, so I can't comment on what the crowd looks like during actual breakfast.... or lunch times for that matter. Our server was not only attentive, she was hilarious! We had a good time bouncing jokes around while sipping our never empty waters. My biscuits and gravy were some of the most buttery delicious biscuits and gravy I've had in a while. I also normally get vegetarian breakfasts, but my hangover made a different decision on my behalf. We added a side of potatoes and fries for the table and everyone scarfed down their breakfasts without complaint. Any place that serves breakfast all day that's not Denny's is pretty much an instant win - Add friendly service, easy parking and a full belly and you've got a fan!

I dont get it. This place is always packed with lines out the door. We gave it a try and found the food to be boring. Nothing special and definitely not worth the wait.

At the recommendation of friends, we tried The Diner for lunch. Most diners have a "smarmy" feel to them, but this was the complete opposite! The staff was friendly and attentive. It is a "seat yourself" establishment, but we were helped to a clean booth. The empty tables were clean except for the occasional water ring from leftover drinking glasses. The menu is extensive. A wide variety of breakfast (served all day) and lunch items. My wife had breakfast which included eggs, a selection of meats and a slice of French Toast. She is particular about how her eggs are cooked, and she was very pleased with they're preparation. I had a mushroom-swiss burger. Both the meat and the fries were some of the freshest I've had. Both tasted like they were prepared immediately before coooking. Extremely enjoyable experience. Not to loud( can easily hold a conversation at normal volume) and reasonably priced for lunch. I do not hesitate to recommend The Diner. I would bring friends here with no concerns.

Great little breakfast spot. I had the ham and swiss frittata and my boyfriend had the steak and eggs. Both were tasty and large helpings. Prices were decent. Atmosphere was a typical diner....loud. Our waitress was awesome and attentive. The place should definitely consider building a railing to divide the cooking line from the dining tables.

The service is improving at The Diner which is either because I'm getting used to them and they're getting used to me, or because years of living in Little Manhattan under the palms is slowly deadening my nerve endings for brusque service. The food is still the same house made, oversized portion quality coming out of the kitchen. It's still only modestly insane getting in there and getting a table on a weekend, but overall they walk the diner walk.

Went here for breakfast with my mom. The place was new, and there was a 10 minute wait to sit. The restaurant is a bit awkward. The soda station covered in cleaning supplies etc is totally exposed and a bit unappetizing to look at while eating, and the table we were seated at was dirty. The food was really good though. I would return.

I sleep rather late on my Sundays since I love a good brunch - I went around 3, We had to wait a little for a table but wasn't a horrid wait at all - zoomed right by. Our waitress was Mickey - She was perfect for us ( we vacation in disney every other weekend pretty much ) but she was a blessing, very attentive, beyond nice, and as sweet as candy! Because of her we definitely will be returning. My boyfriend showed up in a flash Tshirt, which when we were waiting for our table - they put the name under flash - so when the table was ready they called out flash to us. It was entertaining to feel like a superhero for a few minutes.. Once seated, The food came about 10-15 after we ordered and it was as fresh as can be! It was amazing! Love the food here, seasoned perfectly & a great big portion of food is given to you. Omg their toast is heavenly in case you haven't tried yet. It's a nice thick slice of fresh bread with butter i dont know if they make their bread fresh or not but mmmm mmm mmmmmmmmm was it delicious i could've ordered just the bread & be beyond satisfied with just that. But anyway - I ordered the power breakfast it comes with a piece of chicken, Home fries and eggs. To add a little shazaam to it - i added cheese & a tomato to the chicken and it was perfect! The chicken was seasoned to perfection! and The melted cheese & tomato were the perfect fit for it! This diner is like no other & i highly recommend you make a stop at this spot :)

Have been here twice, and both times the food was just ok. My first visit was with two other people, and one of them who never in my history in eating with him has ever sent anything back, sent something back. Service was very good both times with constant offers for refills on our drinks. Nice atmosphere for diner, it's a shame the food did not live up to the nice decor and very good service. The main question most Yelpers want to know, would I go back again? For me, I don't think so. But what I will do is give it a couple of more months and give it one more shot.

This is the second time I've been at the diner. I've never had to wait, so that was good from the onset. Both times I came here, it was for lunch. Today I was with the husband. He ordered a chicken Ceasar salad wrap and chicken rice soup, and I kept it simple and ordered a BLT on rye. In diner style, the food was swiftly delivered. My BLT came with 4 pieces of bacon, and the rye bread was marbled and thickly sliced and toasted. It was pretty good, although I had to salt the tomato and lettuce and added additional mayo. But, all in all it was a hardy sandwich. My husband said his wrap was good. I guess as good as a wrap can be, right? I tasted the soup and it was good but lacked salt. The service was great and we were in and out quickly, which is exactly what we want in a diner. Good food, large portions, good service. Worth the stars.

Another great meal at The Diner. Excellent service & food. We had the popeye omelette/ham, cheese & spinach omelette and a Reuben sandwich. Both were large enough for 2 meals so we took home half the sandwich. Highly recommend stopping here for breakfast or lunch but get here early to avoid the crowds.

Visited The Diner, on a whim, while attending a local function. Overall the diner is your typical American greasy spoon, specializing in breakfast fare. Of the items available, we sampled spinach/egg omelets, Belgian waffles, bacon, juice, cafe, and all the trimmings. Though I had no issue with any of the fare being inedible, there was NO item that impressed me, above any similar restaurant. Yes, if I were in a rush for a filling breakfast (large portions offered), I'd visit The Diner in a pinch. That said, if you're looking for premium "Yelp Praised" fare... I'd recommend seeking other options. 1.5 Stars...explore your options, with The Diner being a solid backup... You can't mess up waffles:) ...unless you're IHOPandGo...

A locally owned / independent (ALWAYS a plus for this newbie-Yelper) in east Boynton, that most ALWAYS delivers a home run in the prompt, flavorful, and courteous categories...that latter proving a rather scarce commodity round these parts... ::peering northward, directly 'cross Gateway Blvd:: (see previous review) The menu here boasts all your typical American eats, though breakfast seems to be the main attraction....admittedly, it's the dish that has prompted the return of yours truly for at least half o'dozen repeat visits thus far this year...a triple-egg, cooked to order plate heaping with all your usual sides'll set you back a mere $10 or so once you add your morning beverage; a value that's certainly not lost on this here newbie, not to mention the dozen or so regulars that frequent the waiting area on a near daily basis. An easy find as well ...'tween Congress and the 9 and 5, in the Quantum Town Center on Gateway's south side.

Took my children's mother here today. After about a 20 min wait at 9:30 on Mother's Day we sat in a comfortable booth. Lorna served us and everything was great. 3-egg Benedict done right. Wife had a fruit yogurt bowl that could have fed us both. Menu is complete and lunch choices and prices are right on target. I need to go there for lunch. NOT open for dinner. Comp coffee for seniors appreciated. Easy parking. FREE WIFI but you need to ask for password.

Mediocre at best. I'm not sure what the hype was about. There was a 30 minute wait and we stuck it out. We had steak and eggs and the pancakes ... And all was Ok. Just ok, but for the wait I can think of a dozen other breakfast places that are as good or better. Sorry, just wasn't impressed. The place is clean and staff friendly though.

I really enjoy everything about The Diner. The food is delicious, made from scratch, and the service is excellent. Phenomenal breakfast selection, the corn beef hash & biscuits and gravy are awesome. For lunch, the patty melt was excellent and the turkey avocado. Club is awesome with turkey roasted there & off the frame.

We had an excellent experience at this diner this morning. The server we had was extremely friendly and attentive. The ambiance was modern with some exposed brick and metal work. The decor was also a natural materials, modern feel. The menu is extensive and included breakfast and lunch items. We had an omelette with breakfast potatoes and a waffle. The omelette was a generous size and was stuffed with cheese and other toppings of choice. The breakfast potatoes were well seasoned and you can tell they were fresh. The waffle was absolutely perfect. It was crispy on the outside and when you crack into it you get a whiff of that nutty sweet waffle smell... Heavenly... The crumb inside was perfectly moist and balanced. We also ordered the Peabody bacon which was crispy and meaty and delicious. The coffee was also extremely good. I must have had like 4 cups! It was just perfect. I really loved this place. I can't wait to return

We went for breakfast and had the lumberjack and the lorraine omelette. The serving sizes are HUGE here and the prices are pretty low. We both liked what we got and would go back. The service was great too. Everyone was super friendly.

The chicken fried steak and sausage gravy was the best ive ever had, the toast is slathered in butter. My wife loved the open face turkey sandwich -- of which she is a conniseur. And the prices are unbeatable !

Best breakfast all around Boynton! Great prices, great quality food. The new York strip with eggs and home fries "to die for " . Will keep coming.

I don't know why when you check in it gives everything 4 stars? I must be missing something. Ok back to the diner, The place was a little busy but not bad. Waited five minutes for a table for four, not bad. The food started coming out fast but sporadically. That's always a little annoying. I ordered the double Monty with a side of fries. The sandwich was skimpy and had four little slivers of turkey on it and the food was a little greasy, but I guess that's why they call diners greasy spoons. See pictures and judge for yourself, oh and I hope you like well-done fries.

After driving around for over an hour looking for a place to eat breakfast in the afternoon (hey it's New Year's Day lol) we finally ended up at The Diner because of the decent reviews. I have to say it was a pleasant experience. The food was good and our waitress was excellent. Only reason I didn't give 5 stars was because the pancakes were lacking flavor. Overall we will return for the positive experience and great service. And because they serve breakfast all day

We stopped for lunch and the restaurant itself is clean and new. Loved the light fixture with the bling. Ordered a patty melt on marble rye. The onions weren't carmelized but instead were just lightly sauteed. The turna sandwich was average and bread was tough. The fries a boasted to be hand cut but they weren't cooked all the way thru so they were cooked on the outside but raw in the middle. The quality of food product is there but because there was no seasoning it made it average. Maybe its a better breakfast place.

Usually not a huge fans of diners but this place is great ! Newer place and very clean ! Not your typical "old feel" of a diner. Has cool lights and has a great layout so you're not eating on top of one another like other places. My favorite is the Greek egg white omelet. And they are not shy with the size and portion of their omelets ! I also heard the frittata is really good too if you like egg whites, which I do. Chicken and rice soup is delicious too ! People I was with ordered the Turkey club sandwich and also the burger. Everything was really good ! Our server, Susan, was super sweet and was a very good waitress ! All the staff seemed friendly and helped each other out when orders came up. Highly recommend this place and to give it a try ! Awesome food and staff !!

First visit to the beautiful little place called THE DINER. My wife had breakfast and I had a burger. Everything was pretty good. But, my burger, which should have been cooked medium, was well done. Here's the weird thing...it was out in 5 minutes. How is that possible? Two possible answers, pre-cooked or partially microwaved. It tasted ok, but a bit salty and overlooked. The waitress offered to remake it, but you know what that means....at best, your food comes out after your friend is done, at worst, a cook takes offense and messes with your food. So, I ate it. It wasn't the servers fault, so the tip was not affected.

Fantastic diner with amazing food. Portions are huge and the prices are extremely reasonable. Defintely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for both breakfast or lunch. The omelettes are delicious. My favorite is the meat lovers of course. Sandwiches are freshly made and perfect for lunch. The decor is what I would describe as modern but classic. Up to date appliances and furntiure/decor but still has that diner feel it should. Service has always been stellar. Everyone is very sweet.

Was there about 7:00PM on a Wednesday night. It's a cute place and the food smelled wonderful when we walked in the door. It was not all that busy and we figured we would get served pretty quickly. It took forever for our waitress to acknowledge us and she definitely had an attitude. We ordered a philly cheesesteak sandwich and a buffalo chicken salad. The sandwich was not hot (the cheese was already hardening) although the fries were fresh (homemade) and wonderful. We had to flag a staff member down for some silverware. The salad didn't arrive until my friend was almost done with her meal. There was obviously confusion or SOMETHIING going on with the kitchen staff.... our waitress did apologize but you could tell she truly didn't care. To say the least, don't bother. We won't be going back.

This restaurant has been open for a while but line outside was a turnoff when all we wanted was a simple breakfast. Today we decided to give it a shot and by luck there was no line at 9 am. Someone knocked over the sign so we did not know if they seat us or seat yourself. Ended up at that moment it was seat yourself. Our waiter was extremely nice my wife and I assumed it was the owner. Come to find out he only started a day or two earlier (I became concerned come to find out was not necessary he was a very attentive server). Coffee was delivered quickly and it was a good cup. My wife ordered the 2 2 2 Two eggs over medium (yolk broke nicely for her) two pancakes (fluffy and tasty) and two slices of bacon (cooked well not burnt or too thick). I got the Lumberjack three Eggs ( I got mine scrambled and will not order them again. They were plain and lifeless.) two pancakes (like my wife's fluffy and tasty) large portion of home fries which were seasoned well and cooked just right. Finally three strips of bacon done well and two sausages sliced long ways and grilled which I enjoyed. Paid and out the door by 10 am. Restaurant was packed and line out the door when we left. Except for the scrambled eggs very much enjoyed breakfast.

The food is great! Everything is fresh ... they pride themselves that they use no eggs out of a box I asked for my bacon and potatoes crispy and everything came back perfectly. Sometimes when a place is so packed it doesn't come out to the T. Arrive early to avoid a long wait. STAFF IS GREAT!

Very tasty pancakes! Staff was friendly, and service was fast. Very moderately priced, especially in comparison to the egg and across the street. Went with several coworkers and they all enjoyed their meals. 2-2-2 is a lot of food, very large pancakes.

Excellent! Quick and friendly service. Portions are ENORMOUS! The omelette and hashbrowns are enough for 3. We had the kids breakfast platter- enough for a hungry adult. The chicken avocado sandwich was delicious. Lots of avocado and homemade fries. The Greek omelet was wonderful. The feta cheese was the highlight. Great quality food and service. Must eat!

Wish this place had been better, pretty long wait on the weekend for overpriced food. Maybe other things are better but I was really in the mood for pancakes and these pancakes sucked.

Frantic seating. We had to seat ourselves and get our own menus. The food was very good and the portions are huge. We had standard fare (eggs, meat, grits and toast / bagels) My sausage was well above average. Service needs to improve though. We had to ask for multiple items multiple times.

Every Time I go out to eat here it's a frustrating experience and trust me I tried to give them a chance because there chocolate chip pancakes ain't bad on a lazy Sunday. Everything is so chaotic and I have to wait forever for anything. I decided to stop going out to eat there and just ordering take out..... It was worse.. I was put on hold for 10 min and finally got my order in. When I went to pick up my food it took 20 min for them to finally give me my order..... Second time I called for take out I was on hold for another 10 min but this time when she picked up she said "don't hang up don't hang up one more minute" after waiting another 5 min I hung up. The End

Eggcellent peameal eggs Benedict! The french toast and omlettes are to die for. They have special thick sliced raisin bread which is a MUST HAVE toasted with butter. A special place... shhhh, keep it secret from the snow-birds!

I heard about the diner through another restaurant in the neighborhood but hadn't had a chance to drop in. Last Saturday I made my first visit to The Diner and I returned on Sunday for an encore brunch. One of my out-of-town real estate clients suggested that we meet for brunch at this "fabulous diner" that he found on Gateway near I-95. I pulled in the parking lot exactly on time to be greeted by an almost full lot and my friend motioning to me. There was a small, full, waiting area and we were advised that there would be a short wait and after about ten minutes we were seated. During that time, I learned that my friend had eaten there the day before and was amazed at the quality of the food, the size of the portions, and the reasonable prices. I opted for the "Meat Lovers" frittata with cheese and home fries. Free coffee (for seniors} and marble rye toast completed my order. My guest ordered a gyro pita with soup. Lentil. (He must have loved the soup, because he ordered another - to go!) The frittata was delicious, evenly cooked, packed with flavor, and enormous! The prices were reasonable, the food well cooked, and the service was delightful, baby! I packed half of my meal to take home and thought to myself, "I'll be baaack!" The next day was not soon enough. I returned with Michelle and tried the Omelette Ole' with home fries, marble rye, and coffee. Michelle had chicken in a pita and we both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. The service was great, thanks to JJ, and we had an opportunity to meet Mike, the "hands-on" owner. This is another place that I highly recommend and I think you will have a wonderful dining experience here!

Kristina R.
I will start with the good! The food is absolutely delicious! There is definitely no argument there! I ores the chocolate chip pancakes! Yummm! And a side of potatoes. You could defiantly tell everything was homemade. Now for the bad. We were told the wait would be 10-15 mins. We ended up waiting to be seated over an hour. Once we were finally seated we waited another hour for our food! People were leaving left and right! The host at the front was jumping around on the list and not seating people in order. He was seating people he knew before others that had been waiting way longer! That is not only unethical, but just plain wrong and rude! Again food was great but I won't be back because of the host!

Love this place! It's our new favorite for breakfast. Everything is made from scratch - not even a microwave in the kitchen. Staff is super friendly and the owner is often behind the grill. Portions are large and the food tastes great. I had the belgian waffle with strawberries, hubby had eggs and bacon with corned beef hash and toast. We both left stuffed. Would highly recommend for breakfast. Next time we want to try their lunch.

Food was great. Prices very reasonable.bStick with pancakes over French toast, anything with eggs is a win. Omelettes made with 5 eggs, so come hungry. Very busy for breakfast, so if you're looking for a calm environment, this isn't a good choice. Very polite and accommodating staff though.

The Diner is my new favorite place for breakfast or lunch. I almost want to keep it a secret because it's that good.. I've been going back since finding this by accident. Be prepared to take a doggie bag home since the portions are huge....The reuben sandwich was delicious along with fresh hot fries. Our waiter was also friendly and made several suggestions. Oh did I tell you about the eggs benedict? FABULOUS! I'll be going back with friends for lunch this week~~

This place is a find! The prices are great and the food is awesome. We are there often and it never disappoints. If there is a crowd outside it may appear that you'll have a long wait however you'll be seated quickly. From the coffee to anything on the menu it's generous portions and tasty food.

Went there today for lunch with my boyfriend. We waited less than five minutes to be seated. From the moment our waitress Merrell arrived at our table we knew we were in store for an official "diner experience". Not only was the food excellent, Merrell couldn't do enough for us. Our drinks were overflowing, we had an assortment of mustard's to chose from and all of the diners next to us seemed equally enthralled. If you are looking for a diner experience for breakfast or lunch, do not pass this gem by.

This place has been open since April and we had a great meal. Huge omlette sandwich and a great handemade burger with fresh cut fries for about 7 bucks. The waitress on this day was Micki, and she was great and shared stories about her life with me if your into that kind of service. There were no crowds at 1pm on a Saturday except fora few cops and food came out fast and fresh. Only open until 4pm, but a great addition to the area according to my father, who should become a regular in the future.

It is basically what it is.. A diner. No frills leave your taste buds at the door. Service was on the lack luster side that day. But, for a quick bite to eat its better than a drive thru. I'll be back to try other menu items. Peameal Bacon?

I finally got time to stop by The Diner just the other day. When I got their, there was about a ten minute wait. I sat down and ordered an egg omelette for breakfast. This was the most delicious omelette I have ever eaten. It was huge. I cannot wait till next Sunday to go back again. I cannot believe I didn't try this place sooner. This place is great

I had the biggest Western omelette in my life at The Diner a couple days ago, and it was really good. The staff are really friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend The Diner.

Outstanding food. Generous portions. Friendly, attentive service. Clean, bright, relaxing atmosphere. You'll feel like a local even if you're not.

My family and I have been the past two Sundays after church. Understanding the wait is usually long at most places on Sunday morning, we waited patiently and got seated. First trip was decent, service was OK, food very good. I got an omelette (5 eggs!!!) too much but made a great Monday breakfast. Daughter had the eggs Benedict and loved it, best Hollandaise she said she's ever had. Second trip, I ordered the veggie omelette and asked them to go easy on the onions. It took several minutes to pick what had to be a quarter cup of onions out of the the eggs. My gripe is the servers need some help, there's no one managing the front of the house, wait staff stresses under the pressure of a busy restaurant. They could either benefit from additional staff (food expediter, coffee/drink re-filler, etc) as well as a point person on the floor to attend to guests. Will we go back for the food, likely, but not of things don't improve on the service.

Put me in the unimpressed category. I tried it this morning, and won't be returning. The waitress was confusing - she asked if I needed pink, yellow or white after she put down my coffee. Perhaps it was just my sleep addled brain, but I couldn't translate that to artificial sweeteners or sugar. I ordered the Diner plate, and was impressed with the Peameal bacon. The eggs were a different story, obviously out of a bottle. When asked if I wanted cheese on the eggs, I said sure, and was asked yellow or white. Funny, I thought cheese had names.... Anyway, as it turns out, the cheese was just grated plastic, so yellow is a more apt description than cheddar. I also seriously hate home fries, the only potato choice. They end up in big undercooked chunks or tiny burned bits. Mine were a mix of both. Decor was nice, the place looked clean.

The Diner serves HUGE portions, so make sure to go hungry. I read some of the complaints about long wait times and waiters/waitresses not paying attention to guests, but my experience was on the opposite end of the spectrum. We were seated immediately, waitress took our coffee order and came back in less than a minute with our drinks. Food order was taken maybe five minutes later at most and the food came out in less than 10 minutes. The food was tasty and the portions were massive. My girlfriend and I could not finish our breakfasts. The icing on the cake was that our meals cost under $15 combined. Great breakfast place, will be going back for lunch and dinner in the future.

The breakfast spot Boynton Beach has been waiting for. The food is great and the owners are behind the grill. Omelette's are huge and menu prices are very fair. The service has been exceptional each time we have visited. I personally love the clean, fast, friendly environment. They also have free WiFi. You will not be let down.

Ok well me and my wife went here twice to give it a chance. Short story: Seems to be no General Manager, Understaffed in Wait Staff, Eggs taste like they are liquid egg mix and not real fresh eggs, French Toast seems and tastes like egg bread with no vanilla or cinnamon added, bus boy is cleaning tables with no cleaner and uses the same rag and just the staff seems to not care about being polite or quality of service. If you want a really good breakfast go to Flakowitz. That is where I'll be going. Long Story: First visit was terrible service, no drink refills, lip stick on my wife's coffee cup and food wasn't any good but we said we would try it again next weekend and give them a chance. Fast forward to today(second visit) we come in they bring us to our table give us menus. So we're waiting for a waitress to come take our drink order... We waited and waited then the hostess came back to our table and took our drink order so still no idea who our waitress is. Then we're greeted by a woman that says what "would we like to drink" so we tell her that the hostess already took our order so she walks away and a coupe minutes after that the hostess came back with our drinks as my wife is putting sugar in her coffee again she got a cup with lip stick still on it. So starting to wonder how good they clean their tables, plates, cups and utensils. I watch the bus boy clean a table with no cleaner and the same rag I've seen him clean other tables with which makes us pull our arms away from our table. So we waited while before our waitress came back to take our order, then fast forward 25-35 minutes once the food came out my French toast looked like it had no cinnamon on it or in it, which after the first bite it was confirmed no vanilla or cinnamon was used so it was basically "Egg Bread" and then the eggs I got weren't any better either and I'd say even worse then the first time we came here, the eggs had no taste and had a pasty texture that was similar to powdered eggs. After our food order was taken we really didn't see our first waitress again and another waitress refilled our coffee and she also gave us our bill so not sure what happened but we knew we weren't coming back again. Another thing we noticed while visiting twice I never saw or was greeted by the General Manager. Which is weird when a restaurant just opened for business three weeks ago. If you want a successful business you have to make sure your customers are happy. I don't see this place lasting more then a year unless something changes quickly. Like I said before no reason to come here when you can go to Brooklyn water bagel or Flakowitz for an awesome breakfast down the street. Actually I'd say even Denny's or IHOP has a better breakfast then "The Diner".

The Diner provided great service and quality food. This is a traditional diner with large portions. The coffee was good and the "thick" toast was delicious. I really enjoyed my experience and will return.

Our server Kelly was competent and friendly.. My husband liked his ample spinach, feta egg omelet and home fries. My child loved his kid's meal of 3 silver dollar sized pancakes, even though I think it should come with a small juice or fruit for the price. I had a nice size bowl of homemade tasting oatmeal that came with brown sugar and raisins, the cinnamon I requested came with it, I never had to wait as most diner servers forget to bring it after asking when I order. Excellent hot coffee is constantly offered, so my cup never ran out! And I noted on the menu that seniors get free coffee with each entree, We will be back for lunch sometime soon!

I've eaten at the Diner twice now, and have enjoyed it a lot. They give you a good helping of good tasting food. Each time, the breakfasts have been amazing. My only criticism is that there are a lot of hard surfaces that cause the place to be loud when crowded, otherwise, this place a just short of a 5 start rating. Glad to have this place as a local place to eat at.

I've eaten breakfast here twice now, and I daresay it is on our list of favorite breakfast places at this point. The selection of breakfast items is sizable and the eggs are really delicious. There's a nice open kitchen and you can sit at a table or the counter, which is pretty spacious. We've had the veggie egg white frittata, the smoked ham and swiss omelette (huge, couldn't finish it), the eggs benedict and the western omelette sandwich on an English muffin. They serve nice thick pieces of marbled rye toast and delicious, perfectly seasoned home fries. One of the eggs on my order of eggs benedict was slightly overcooked but it was so tasty and the portion so large (three eggs instead of the usual two) that I really didn't mind. Their bacon is also deliciously crispy and they have very good coffee. The entree selections with egg whites are a great healthy option. Looking forward to trying lunch here one day. Oh and JJ the waitress gives stellar service!

Nothing special about this place. It's pretty good food at an ok price. The staff is very friendly. Pretty average overall but I would go again if I needed some breakfast in a hurry.

Great service great food. I will definitely be back! I had the eggs benedict. The menu says that the hollandaise sauce is homemade. It tasted fantastic. The ham/Canadian bacon (I'm not a hundred percent sure what it was) was delicious. It tasted like a nice piece of ham to me. The potatoes served with the eggs benedict were very good. I'm very picky about breakfast potatoes, and do not find most of them very tasty. My only negative comment would be that there were way too many potatoes on the plate. Literally half the plate was covered with a mound of potatoes. The waitresses were all very friendly and very attentive. Although I will say that it was a slow time during the week that I went there.

Would love to try this place for dinner but they are always closed early. Seems like they close at 5ish. No hours on the door. Went by there just the other day (5/30/13) at 7PM and closed. PUT YOUR HOURS ON YOUR DOOR!!! Is that so hard?

My compatriate was excited to try this place finally, so we did, but at the end our opinion was like 'ehhhh'. There was hardly any one else there, and our waitress was nice, but the food was so ehh. My omelette just didn't taste quite... good. Huge, but not good, I wished I'd made one at home. And the home fries weren't cooked right somehow, didn't taste great. We'll cross this place off our list. : / I wonder if it's the cooking oil they use or something? Oh well. who knows.

My son and I went to "The Diner" for breakfast this past Saturday. We have anxiously awaiting the opening. Overall pretty good for a Florida diner. First the good.... coffee....outstanding, egg white "frittata" enough for two or three and very good - veggies very fresh and crisp...could have used a little onion perhaps but very good. My son had the lumberjack breakfast which he enjoyed. Prices very reasonable. Now the not so great...thick toast....should be something more plain bread sliced thick...The french toast was made from plain white bread....we were expecting Challah french toast...much more Northeast style... Service was friendly but a little slow - I will give them that as they are new and finding their stride. The menu is not what I had hoped for a la NY style diner but it covered the basics. Hoping that down the road they will be open later than 9PM so we can go after a later movie for a grilled cheese sandwich and breakfast. But let's support this venture. Its the only thing like it in the area.

(4)Vincent G.
(2)John M.
i went there based on a recommendation from a coworker.
(4)Aron P.
The food was amazing! Huge portions. They even have real maple syrup and organic ketchup!
(5)Amber Elizabeth M.
(4)S B.
I dont get it. This place is always packed with lines out the door. We gave it a try and found the food to be boring. Nothing special and definitely not worth the wait.
(2)Adam C.
(4)Nicole D.
(4)Brian R.
(5)Ken L.
(4)Brionna H.
(5)Hal F.
(2)Susan A.
(4)Robert D.
(5)Wesley S.

I came here the first time a month or so ago and had breakfast with a friend. The food was extremely fresh and delicious and the portions were huge!

(4)George S.
(4)Ashley N.
(3)Timm S.
(5)Samantha S.
Everyone here was very friendly. allowed to sit ourselves which I love. Our waitress was amazing and had a great sense of humor. Totally recommended it

Friendly staff, good food, great price. I just moved within walking distance of this place and it is my new favorite spot

It's a few days short of a year since I wrote my review. It continues to be outstanding. The owner Chef Mike and the staff are great and the food is excellent. So glad we found The Diner
(5)Katrina H.
(5)Sam K.
We went for breakfast and had the lumberjack and the lorraine omelette. The serving sizes are HUGE here and the prices are pretty low. We both liked what we got and would go back. The service was great too. Everyone was super friendly.
(4)Josh M.
Terrific food and prices! My girlfriend and I live nearby and frequent this diner. We always enjoy the experience!
(5)Miles H.
The chicken fried steak and sausage gravy was the best ive ever had, the toast is slathered in butter. My wife loved the open face turkey sandwich -- of which she is a conniseur. And the prices are unbeatable !
(5)Elvis O.
Best breakfast all around Boynton! Great prices, great quality food. The new York strip with eggs and home fries "to die for " . Will keep coming.
(5)Jim M.

Excellent experience! Came to celebrate the birthday of a coworker. Service was wonderful -warm and friendly. Breakfast fare was outstanding. Thick bread, eggs cooked to perfection, and they even offer frittatas! Would highly recommend.
(5)Stacey C.
Came here for lunch. Kids ordered breakfast. Service was great. Fast and food was really good. Pancakes were the best.
(5)Michael Y.

This place is wonderful. We discovered it about a month ago and have been back 5 times since. Everything is cooked perfectly every time, service is spot on and the value for your dollar is right there. I would recommend it for breakfast or lunch.
(5)Tais R.
All homemade meals with quality staffs also a very nice place to bring the kids! For Sunday brunch I recommend come early if u do not wanna wait!!

Today... I was in heaven. My chocolate chip pancakes were out of this world. They totally hit the spot & I left a happy (& stuffed) camper!! The eggwhites were also good, and the biscuits and gravy were delicious!! Great way to welcome in the weekend :)
(4)Lindsey C.
You just have to go. Portions are generous. Staff treats you like family. Great atmosphere and the food is delicious! Breakfast or lunch; you can't go wrong at the Diner!
(5)Marissa M.
(5)Tracey H.
I have never walked away from a breakfast plate because it was too much. Delicious food. Great staff. Clean!!! Would wait in line before I went across the street to eat breakfast.
(5)Ali J.
Very tasty pancakes! Staff was friendly, and service was fast. Very moderately priced, especially in comparison to the egg and across the street. Went with several coworkers and they all enjoyed their meals. 2-2-2 is a lot of food, very large pancakes.
(4)Nicol H.
Good quality food for a great price with awesome service. Their toast is amazing, I always joke that I'm just there for the toast.
(5)Stacey H.
Must eat!
(5)Heather M.
Always tasty. It's usually busy so plan to wait but the staff is nice and food us delish, reasonably priced as well.
(4)Kotori B.
Wish this place had been better, pretty long wait on the weekend for overpriced food. Maybe other things are better but I was really in the mood for pancakes and these pancakes sucked.
(3)Stuart B.
Frantic seating. We had to seat ourselves and get our own menus. The food was very good and the portions are huge. We had standard fare (eggs, meat, grits and toast / bagels) My sausage was well above average. Service needs to improve though. We had to ask for multiple items multiple times.
(3)Katherine R.
The End
(2)Kimberly S.
We have eaten breakfast at this restaurant twice. It is absolutely delicious! The service was outstanding and the food is delicious; generous portions and priced right! Whenever we are down in this area, we make certain to stop and eat here.
(5)Lisa T.
Delish! Just what I needed for breakfast. I chose buiscuts and gravy and home fries...carb overload!! But it was worth it. You can taste how homemade it was.
(5)Diana H.

(5)Kristina R.
(2)Bonnie R.
(5)Bill M.
Great food at a great price. Friendly staff and fresh eggs. Nothing comes from a carton. This is my new favorite breakfast spot. There's a line on the weekends but, they move it through quickly.
(5)Rod J.
Easy to find- off the main road off gateway
(4)Laurie S.
Delicious food. Try their "real" Canadian bacon. Professional and courteous staff. Clean with a comfortable ambiance. Made from scratch taste without the grease you get at other breakfast joints. Awesome.
(5)Carlie M.
(4)Frances H.
(5)Melanie T.
This place is a find! The prices are great and the food is awesome. We are there often and it never disappoints. If there is a crowd outside it may appear that you'll have a long wait however you'll be seated quickly. From the coffee to anything on the menu it's generous portions and tasty food.
(5)Britt Z.
(5)Brad W.
(5)Sotahreth O.
It is basically what it is.. A diner. No frills leave your taste buds at the door. Service was on the lack luster side that day. But, for a quick bite to eat its better than a drive thru. I'll be back to try other menu items. Peameal Bacon?
(3)Brian C.
This place is great
(5)Tom C.
I had the biggest Western omelette in my life at The Diner a couple days ago, and it was really good. The staff are really friendly, and the prices are very reasonable. I highly recommend The Diner.
(5)Dennis H.
Outstanding food. Generous portions. Friendly, attentive service. Clean, bright, relaxing atmosphere. You'll feel like a local even if you're not.
(5)Jeff B.
(3)Jay M.

(4)Jimmy K.

(1)Jeff P.
The Diner provided great service and quality food. This is a traditional diner with large portions. The coffee was good and the "thick" toast was delicious. I really enjoyed my experience and will return.
(4)Sandi S.
(4)Phil P.
(4)Elle A.
(4)Brady L.
Nothing special about this place. It's pretty good food at an ok price. The staff is very friendly. Pretty average overall but I would go again if I needed some breakfast in a hurry.
(3)Denise B.
(4)Don L.
Would love to try this place for dinner but they are always closed early. Seems like they close at 5ish. No hours on the door. Went by there just the other day (5/30/13) at 7PM and closed. PUT YOUR HOURS ON YOUR DOOR!!! Is that so hard?
(1)Amie B.
Oh well. who knows.
(2)Sylke L.
Great food, great prices, they just need to pick up the pace with serving the food. Breakfast is my favorite here, huge portions for under $10. You'll definitely be satisfied!
(4)Chris L.
Come with an appetite, they serve HUGE portions. The food is good and the staff is nice. Service is quick too.
(4)Jaime M.
Food was delicious, generous huge portions!! Greater experience than we expected. Service was excellent! We will be returning!
(5)Susan B.
