My wife, 3 kids and I all enjoyed it. Price was reasonable for what was provided. Very large selection of sushi and sashimi, along with other dishes. I wish we had a Japanese buffet like this back home, as does my 8-year old son.

For sushi in general, this is NOT the place to go. I'm a very big sushi fan and all of the rolls/fish offered was disappointing. Luckily, the other food at the buffet was edible and actually tasty (think Chinese buffet.) My companion enjoyed his sushi, but stated, "Yeah, if this was all I was coming for, then I'd have been upset." Maybe we came at the wrong time or on the wrong day, but I can't say I'd return unless someone invited me.

Ok, writing these reviews is a challenge. "GOOD" , and a review of anything, always has to be put into a particular context. It's like trying to review beer and wine against one another. You can't do it. A magnificent Rhone, served while sitting on the 50 yard line of a football game in Soldier Field, is BAD! But the same wine at Mike Ditka's restaurant afterwards - served with a hunk of beef - is wonderful. So, to the point - make no mistake - this place is a "mass buffet" - lots of food, lots of choices. Like what a Chinese army mess hall must look like. No, it's not fine sushi, it's not the best of anything really. But it works - really works - it's just what I wanted, and what you should want, if you come. Lots of food, lots of variety - the old classics (e.g. Tempura, spring rolls, cheesy Americanized sushi, etc) . And at least on this particular day - it was all very fresh and very delicious ! Not that I calculate the amount of food I get per dollar any longer, but I have to say - the price for 2 at lunch was just north of $20 bucks - wow ! Where was this place when I was in college - it would have been the freshman 50 not 15 !

Go during lunch on weekdays for $10 all you can eat buffet of sushi, lo mein, miso, and shrimp! It is almost double the price per person on weekends but they've got all you can eat crab legs on weekends!

Dinner was $35 and we got here at 8:15 they seated us with the staff, none of the food was fresh I would've walked right out but I expected to be only like $10/12 a person,... What a rip off! Avoid like the plague

I expected the sushi here to be just ok, considering it's a buffet. Although none of their selections completely wowed me, I was impressed by how fresh and varied all the rolls were. I suggest going to the bar and getting one piece of each roll you'd like instead of taking a few pieces. My friends made that mistake and were stuck with some sushi they didn't particularly care for. When I came for dinner ($18), it was pretty packed, so if you prefer less crowds and a smaller bill, opt for lunch. I also believe you can put in a specific sushi order at the bar. I noticed a diner requesting a few. There's a vast array of hot food options (veggies, soups, tempura) as well as hibachi for those less interested in the sushi options. I didn't find any of their hot foods particularly appetizing to be honest. They were fine, but a bit bland and greasy. Nothing to rave about. Service was attentive; they took away plates and refilled teas/waters regularly. Overall, I thought it was a very decent space for a buffet , a clean and friendly place. I would come back if I'm really craving half decent, cheap sushi, but if you're looking for above average Japanese food, consider other options.

A friend recommended this place today, December 7, 2013. It is by far, the worst Japanese buffet I have ever been to! The spinach sushi they offered was dry and hard. Other sushi was not fresh and some of it virtually tasteless. The lobster cantonese was in a sauce that was not a cantonese sauce. The chicken was the cheapest cuts of meat available. The steamed fish was a variety that I could not identify. Not talapia...in fact, I hope it did not come from one of the contaminated fish places in China. Even the red bean ice cream was nearly tasteless, and, had no red beans in it. It just seemed that everything was of the cheapest quality available. What I should have realized is when you go to a restaurant in SE Florida, on a weekend in season, and, there is no waiting, they seat you right away because the place is half empty, there must be something wrong. This place is great if you just want to eat until you explode and don't care about what you are eating. If you want a good Japanese buffet, then I suggest either the one in Boca Raton, on Glade Road near the Florida Turnpike, or, there is another one on Powerline Road in Boca. The price is about the same and they food is great, and a much larger selection. One problem in this place is they did not replace an item until the very last piece was gone. Other places replenish the food when it is just a little over half gone. I rarely rant and rave about a place, but, I can only say for those who have stated they love this place, maybe you should try one of the other places and you will see the difference.

Service is usually good, and the sushi bar is generally well-stocked, with a wide variety. Most of the rolls are very basic though- i.e.: mostly crab, salmon and shrimp with avocado or cucumber and rice, and maybe cream cheese. The rolls with other options tend to be mostly rice/cucumber (the eel roll for example had a tiny piece of eel, huge piece of cucumber and the rest was rice, and lacked eel sauce). The rolls are still decent though, and sometimes are better than others depending on the chefs working I suppose. The price for lunch is good, I've gone there several times for lunch just for the value but I would not go for dinner- the cost is much too high for the quality of food. Besides the sushi, there's some good chicken, rice and other dishes though they are sometimes not warm from sitting out.

This place gets 4.5 stars for serving its purpose and serving it well. Have been here over 10 times with friends and family and so far no one has been disappointed. Lunch is 1/2 the price of dinner with the main difference being more sushi options and a Hibachi style grill where you can choose your meat or fish and have it cooked on the spot (at dinner). You'll find your typical Chinese buffet items and a sushi bar, so theres a mix of Japanese & Chinese foods. The place is much more upscale then your typical 10$ buffet, and they serve a delicious hot tea in traditional cast iron or ceramic kettle and cups (random selection). Ginza is a great way to have a sushi meal without breaking the bank.

No No No No don't go! The food is overcooked. The sushi was of poor quality and did not taste fresh at all. The best I could say is that the crab legs were palatable but the oysters and mussels! were nasty.

This place is pretty good! And cheap! This place has a pretty good selection of sushi... it's not really mind blowingly extensive but it's good, especially for the price. There also is a pretty decent selection of hot foods that are standard Japanese/Chinese food fare. It's also cool they have a hibachi station as well. I've only tried this place during lunch so I'm not sure how much more of a selection they have during dinner... but lunch is pretty banging.. I'd definitely come here more often... if it didn't look so sad to see a little Asian girl eating buffet all by herself during lunch.

I know this is a buffet but the food to not good in the least! I do live near Boston and we have great sushi, seafood, Japanese and Chinese food there but the food at Ginza is really not good. I like Sushi but am allergic to tuna. They don't separate the tongs used to pick your sushi so I stayed away from that. The raw bar shrimp were small and not cold. The oysters looked dried out. I had a few bites of some appetizers like shrimp tempura, spring roll, and pork dumplings, they all tasted like something you get from the food court at the mall. I tried to voice my concerns to our waitress who said she would send over a manager but never did and then acted annoyed when we asked to speak to a manager when the check was given to us.

The food here is very good and very fresh. Kinda pricey though for a buffet. $20 is a bit much in my opinion. Service is okay. Sometimes they are quick to take away a dish, and sometimes you have to wait a bit.

For a buffet style Japanese restaurant myself and the 2 other people I was with were amazed! The Sushi tasted fresh and a great raw bar which had a great selection: king crab legs, oysters, mussels and shrimp. I had asked a local who ate there often if it was safe to consume before indulging and it was great, none of us got sick. They also had nice selection of Chinese food as well. In fact, the spare ribs were incredible! The sushi selection included sashimi as well as specialty rolls displayed in a neat organized Japanese manner which were consistently replaced with freshly made sushi by attentive chefs and staff. The setting is very pleasant for a date or family, go and enjoy the food you will not be disappointed.

Fresh, tasty, great selection, tip. Use chopsticks to pick up your food at the counters. Avoid the tongs. Service was attentive and very friendly. Tea was delicious and cheap. 75cents. Faves. The ribs, spicy tuna, and they will make you special orders to accommodate allergies. Very impressed.

Definitely recommended when compared to the other Chinese buffets that I have had in this area. The ambience is also pretty decent and does not give you the cheap chinese feeling! Better than most Japanese Buffets! Sushi and Sashimi is varied and fresh. Not every roll has the all too common hot sauce to cover up otherwise flavorful fish. The crab legs were larger and sweeter than the most popular buffet place in Boca Raton. I was very pleased with the hot dishes too. The last visit had lobster tails which was an unexpected treat. The hibachi grill had squid and large shrimp. The wait staff and management are professional and welcoming. This buffet is well worth the price and a trip. It just gets better and better! Go early if you don't wish to wait long to be seated.

On the better end of Chinese buffets I've been to. It gets 4 out of 5 in that category, not in the Fine Dining category. I didn't eat any sushi (buffet sushi = bad idea), but the Chinese food was pretty good. I'd rather go to my favorite Chinese place over this, but not a bad spot. Very pretty inside, very clean, pleasant staff. I would for back.

For $10.55 in total it was ok. Kinda wish sodas were included with the meal. But $1.95 for soda? Hmm no way! Anyway staff there were polite but I could tell they were just going threw the motions. Lunch rush was ok not crazy. The sushi bar had lots of variety and so was the Chinese bar. However I wish they had yakisoba noodle, which wasn't avail. Oh well maybe next time! Anyway, the most surprising offering I ate at Ginza yesterday was Red Bean Ice cream and Green Tea Ice cream. Which my taste buds said WOW! So for that Im giving this restaurant a 4/5 stars for my first visit there. Hope to make it 5 next time! ^_^

Nice place, clean, efficient setup. I'm a vegan and there were not very many vegan options at the buffet. Food quality was good, though not stellar.

The sashimi was ice cold, delicious and plentiful. Roll selection was varied and vast. Tempura was crisp, salads were delicious, and the hot dishes were hot and tasted great. The dessert selection, though small, wasn't the typical buffet fare. The brownies and carrot cake tasted fresh baked and I loved how the portions were small "tastes" in paper cups rather than a tray of generic sprinkled blobs. Nice fruit and ice cream selection as well. The service was friendly and quick. We didn't feel rushed at all. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price, though worth it, was a bit expensive especially for my daughter (10.95).

My family and I have been here a handful of times and as Asian buffets go, its OK. Probably one of the better ones out there for the price although I do think they could have more of a healthy selection on the stir fried dishes. Nearly everything is breaded or fried or heavy glutinous items. But the on the last visit I was really put off by the aggressive server. My husband paid the bill with a $50 note and told the chinese waitress to keep the change which was around $4 or so. She looked at it, (uncomfortable silence), then tapped the receipt which said suggested gratuity 15-20%. Unbelievable! She left expecting us to leave more and I told my husband "don't you dare!". Its a buffet, you serve yourselves. You reckon to leave about a dollar a person at buffets. She only brought water and the silverware that was missing from the table in the first place. You do not leave 15-20% at a buffet, thats for restaurants where they serve you. We left and she ignored us on the way out. I complained to the Manager about her aggressive attitude but I doubt they care. Don't think I'll be back.

Being from Seattle I have high standards for sushi. Ginza did not disappoint. The sushi was really fresh and varied. Lots of interesting rolls along with a good variety of Japanese salads. Its absolutely the best quality of sea food sushi buffet in Palm Beach! I am taking my entire family there almost every week for a dinner. We love it! The food is always fresh; the stuff is always super nice and attentive to your needs; the premisses are clean and well organized!!! Among buffets, these is a high three star choice, largely on the strength of the sushi. I was impressed that there was a large variety of sushi, including more uncommon (for a buffet) choices like baby octopus. Obviously, the price is right if you want to gorge yourself on some pretty decent sushi. Hot items are hit or miss. I was surprised by how good the spring rolls and bourbon chicken were. The fried rice did not impress, nor did the spare ribs (which I'd enjoyed in the past) and were unfortunately uniformly cold and oily when I went. Buffets often suffer from terrible atmosphere, but not Ginza! It's quite pleasant and clean. All-in-all, if you're choosing a buffet, you're well-served with Ginza.

Worth the drive to meet my friend half-way to have sushi here. All the "usual" salad, seaweed, sushi and rolls, stir-fry station, hot foods, shrimp/oyster bar as well as fruit and dessert section for about 10 bucks pp plus tax/tip for lunch. The only items remiss from lunch time is their ribs and snowcrab legs which are served at dinnertime. The buffet line is clean and ALL leftovers at lunch are thrown out. I KNOW this to be true because my friend and I were one of the last tables to leave when they were closing for intermission before dinner commences and viewed them tearing down the buffet into garbage cans. It's refreshing to KNOW and witness firsthand THIS buffet doesn't skimp on quality and doesn't roll over the fish to take a chance that patrons will get food poisoning. It's a little drive for me from my area and the REAL detriment is that there is a lot of construction in the area right now in front of them as well as in the Publix shopping center along the side of them at Congress Avenue which makes it difficult to get in AND find parking. Other than that, the price alone makes it worthwhile.

While I'm not a local, I've been coming here a few times a year while visiting with my folks. This has been my daughter's favorite restaurant for years. Normally affordable sushi isn't all that great, and vice versa, but The Ginza is definitely an exception to that. They have a generous buffet of delicious sushi, sashimi and sea weed salads and edamame. Another long buffet is devoted to hot foods, including tempura, but more if typical Chinese food selection. Where they shine, however, is the sushi buffet. On both buffets on most visits I find everything fresh and plentiful. As with any place you'll get the odd off night, but in my experience dining here they mostly get it right. Service, which in this case consists of keeping the beverages coming and the dirty plates off the table between our trips to the buffet is pleasant and competent. Save room for the dessert side, various flavors of ice cream, including green tea as well as your typical chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and more

Staff was friendly. Went for lunch ($10) and you're getting what you pay for. The sushi was okay, you could tell that some had been sitting out for a while. Only tried a few cooked items which we could tell were frozen. In conclusion if you've experienced sushi other than from the grocery store you're most likely going to be disappointed.

This is the best Chinese Japanese buffet I have ever been to I usually just get sushi which is always fresh and there are about 20 different kinds of available this is awesome lunch prices are about $10. Dinner is about $18 There are also about 15 different kinds of Chinese Japanese menu items available. There is a hibachi grill and ice cream pudding and jello for dessert The atmosphere is pleasant and I never have to wait long It's great for days when I skipped a meal or just worked out and I'm really hungry Ginza will always satisfy my appetite

This place is amazing! $10.99 on a Sunday for all you can eat sushi and Japanese food that is actually super good quality! OH momma! Bring these to California please! I cannot believe how good the food and selection were and I pounder my $10.99 down on my 1st plate ( out of 3! ) I say.....everyone come to Ginza Buffet! Awesome food, friendly staff and an unbelieveable value! We came here a year ago and when we returned this year for the holidays, we made sure to also return to Ginza. This time around, I had miso soup, savory and full of those yummy pieces of seaweed and tiny cubes of tofu. The best thing I had was the salmon sashimi. Delicate and fresh. I really enjoyed some green beans sauteed with garlic -- crisp and not overcooked at all. My own mom would've loved them. We will not hesitate to come here straight away when we come back again. Pro tip: lunch is a lot cheaper than dinner but the food is the same. So find time early in the day to hit this joint.

Ginza Japanese Buffet is a large, Asian-style buffet located on the corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Congress. When I'm working in the area, I frequent this restaurant for a quick, cheap, filling lunch. But nothing else. Ginza is basically your normal, production-line buffet. The inside is spacious, so there's never a wait. The front-of-house is always clean, although my co-worker commented his plate was not so clean. Personally I've never had a problem with dirty dishes. What makes Ginza better than other Asian buffets is it isn't a shit hole; it's clean and inviting. The service at Ginza is sufficient. Waiters whisk around and pick up your old plates quickly. Drinks come quick, there's always a smile on the waitresses faces. This buffet serves up your normal buffet fare: sushi, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, Bourbon chicken, vegetable tempura, etc. There is also a hibachi flattop where a small Hispanic man wearing a sideways snap back hat and a flat, expressionless face will whip of some stir fry vaguely reminiscent of authentic hibachi. Joy. Ginza is an average place to eat a quick lunch, if your not feeling adventurous or want something out of the norm. This is also a great place to bring grandma, because it feels somewhat exotic for a senior and is bland enough not to upset her digestive tract. For $13 it fill your belly, but doesn't offer any kind of memorable experience.

Ginza seems to have gone downhill. A few years ago I would have rated it four or five stars but now it's only three and even that's being generous. I was promptly seated and my server (whose name I didn't see because he didn't tell me and it wasn't on the bill) got us drinks in an adequate amount of time. The restaurant was not busy at all which I found strange for a Friday night. Their hot foods is lacking in both quantity and quality. A few years ago it was excellent - now it's mediocre at best. There just isn't enough to choose from considering the $18 price tag. There were maybe 14 or 16 pans from which to choose, and when french fries are one of them you know it's probably not going to be quality food. It seemed like not all the warmers were working properly because some dishes were hot and some barely warm. They did have crab legs but only cold ones and there was nothing with which to crack them open. Without a device with which to crack or cut them open eating crab legs is a pain in the butt. They have a nice-sized hibachi area where you can tell the cook which meats, vegetables and sauces you'd like and he prepares it for you right away. Unfortunately they're not shy about putting their tip jar front and center so you feel obligated to throw them a dollar or two. Pardon my language but fuck that. I'm not paying $18 so I can pay more for someone to do their job. And I was a server for several years - a server should be tipped. Someone who cooks the food should not. Our society has gotten way too crazy with everyone asking for tips when only people who depend on tips - those who make less than minimum wage - should receive them, like servers, taxi drivers, hair stylists, baggage handlers, etc. But I'm going off on a tangent here. I won't mention their dessert section because not only did I not have any but let's be honest - who cares about dessert at a Chinese buffet? Nearly all of them are average at best anyway. Ice cream, Jello, and weird chocolate pudding which somehow seems dirty - there, that comprises about 95% of all Chinese buffet dessert areas. Ginza's saving grace is their sushi area. If (and only if) you love sushi and sashimi, you should love this restaurant. I don't much care for either myself but in the interest of fairness I will say their sushi and sashimi is excellent. It's constantly prepared fresh by several people and it seems to be of high quality, but as I'm not a sushi connoisseur myself, I could be way off the mark there. There are many different kinds available, I'd guess around 20 or so. This place gets high praise for their sushi area from me. The service seems to be hit or miss. The night I went I was served by a white man with a goatee and the only reason I'm pointing out his race was because he was the only non-Asian server from what I could see. Also, just in case you get him, don't expect great service. At first he was fine, but when I finished my soda and he walked back and forth by it for over ten minutes without a refill, I was not impressed. I was also very close to the beverage station so he easily could have gotten me one during his many trips back and forth. Eventually I asked him for a refill and I suppose I'll give him a shred of credit because he did apologize for the long wait. I just don't understand why there was a wait at all - had he been in the weeds I absolutely would have sympathized because as I said, I served for many years. But he'd go into the server's area and sort silverware or drop dirty plates off and come out empty-handed and walk by my table every time. When he did take my cup I watched him go to the beverage station, stand there a few moments, then come out and walk past my table without a drink in hand. In those 20 seconds he forgot it, realized his problem when he walked by my table and I lacked a soda, then went to retrieve it. I watched an Asian female server with glasses and she was amazing. She brought out refill after refill for her tables, promptly removed dirty plates and was much more pleasant than the man with whom we dealt. Overall, for the hefty $18 price tag, the lack of hot food, the obligation to tip to get anything from the hibachi area and the poor service I received, it's going to be a long time before I return to Ginza. I'm giving this place three stars instead of two only because of their vast sushi and sashimi selection. If you're a fan of these foods it's worth trying. If not, stay away. Overall, taking into consideration quantity and quality I highly recommend Kingdom Buffet across the street from Ginza - they have about three times the selection of Ginza for nearly half the price. I usually go there but decided to give Ginza a try. My mistake.

Awesome buffet place for both Japanese and Chinese. Ginza does have really really tasty dishes for a buffet. A friend who lives in Boynton recommended Ginza and I have become a regular. The weekend dinner featuring ginger and scallion lobster and crab legs + very good sashimi is $18.95. Sushi bar has a good variety. The soups are very good - tried the Veggie Hot and Sour and the Miso. The Chinese dishes specifically the Lo Mein, Egg Fried Rice, Sauteed Mushrooms and the Coconut Shrimp are very tasty. They do have a Mongolian sir fry section with the build your own noodle and meat combos that are prepared for you with the added sauces. Dessert section has some sweet treats like cakes, almond cookies and 6 types of ice cream including red bean. Sushi section is replenished rt away. Service is great - waitress is quick. Lunch I believe is $10 and sounds like quite a bargain. Best buffet place I have found in S Florida. Xie Xie.

We were visiting from NYC and passed this place, being the huge sushi fans and in NYC we do not have sushi buffets like this. We walked into the spacious food area and had several orgasms (hubby and I) when we saw the rows of beautiful prepared sushi and sashimi. It was sushi heaven. Had several plates, was stuffed and left satisfied. All for $10/pp lunch. Great place and will be back in a couple of months when I go to visit mom again.

I've had it with Ginza. Last time they were obviously short staffed. There was a help wanted sign in the window for a waitress which should have been my 1st warning. I have never been to ANY buffet where your table was not immediately bussed when you went back to the buffet. My sourpuss waitress engaged me twice and left my table as it was each time. I didn't think it was my job to tell her to do her job. This made for a most unpleasant dining experience.

Talk about a surprise. I am not a buffet fan. I do not expect quality, freshness, or taste when going to a buffet. Today I was convinced to eat at Ginza for a Japanese/Chinese food gorge fest. The restaurant itself looks way nicer than I envisioned. Clean, modern fixtures, tall ceilings. My mind always makes buffet places tiny, dingy and dirty. Point 1 for Ginza! The buffet selection was vast. Lots of sushi, salads, hibachi, cooked foods, soups, fried yummies, desserts.. All plentiful and constantly being refreshed. Point 2 for Ginza. I was in a vegetable mood.. I think only one thing I ate had meat in it (this happened to be a chicken sushi roll). Ginza caters very nicely to vegetarians! Even though I am not a vegetarian, I often do not want to eat meat.. so for making this super easy for me to do makes it point 3 for Ginza! Point 4 comes in when there were literally no old people here. None. I am shocked! I was expecting it to be a white hair fest with rude old people pushing over me and making life a little less pleasant. Maybe this is because season has pretty much come to an end.. but I was so happy to not be the youngest person in this establishment. Lots of young professionals! I am knocking down a star because our plates were not removed from our table very quickly. Also, my water was refilled once after I finished it off when I first got there, and the one refill I got was only for half a glass of water. Also, a big error in charging our credit cards happened that took quite a bit of time to fix. Other than that.. great job, Ginza!

For an all you can eat buffet, the sushi is good, fresh and plentiful. The non sushi and cook to order food is also good. It's a little pricey on the weekend but not bad during lunch or weekday dining.

Ayo! F@ck what that other guy said about buffet sushi. I cram my guts every time I'm in this place with Japanese and Chinese food alike and never had a problem. A great value if you visit during lunch hours and I have never seen a cleaner ACE (All you Can Eat) establishment around. All the waitresses are Asian even if most of the guys behind the counter are Central American but look close enough to Asian anyway, good casual ambience, and the hostess got some tig-o-bitties man. I'm there every time I got a day off mid week to take advantage of this great value.

Went to Ginza for lunch today. Took a variety of dishes which were all very good. As I was eating the Mongolian Beef my mouth was on fire. It was made with jalapeno peppers. My tongue and mouth became paralyzed. I called the manager over to confirm the ingredients and I was right. I have eaten this dish before at numerous other buffets and it is always made with green bell peppers. The manager couldn't care less. He told me to drink more water. I explained that I couldn't eat more and he ruined an otherwise enjoyable time with other people. I told him he should post a sign stating this dish is made with jalapenos, but he just said that is how we make it. All he kept repeating was to drink water. Any good businessman would at least offer me a cold soda or a chance to come back for lunch when I could try more food and enjoy it.

My wife and I stop there for an early dinner. They had a extensive sushi bar that appeared nice, but we do not eat sushi. We chose several of the offerings and found them satisfactory. The Oyster were a skimpy low grade product but then Oysters are expensive so I could deal with that also. I guess if you like sushi, the price is good but the other food was equal to Kingdom Buffet across the street but not as good or as many offerings. My complaint is that we were shown to a table, went up for our food, and had no contact with a server for 10-15 mins when I had to go over to one of the 3 waitresses standing around to ask for a drink. Later when my soda was empty, I decided not to chase the staff and no one approached our table to refill either drink. When done I gave her my credit card, filled it out and gave her a tip equivalent to 8%. When she looked at the check she questioned why she did not get at least 15%. I informed her that first of all, it is a Buffet, not a restaurant. I also informed her that she shouldn't even receive a tip as there was no service. she became angry and rude so we left and never went back again. The manager who had hear the commotion asked if everything was ok. When I explained, his comment was "oh". So food....ok, Service.....non existent, Staff.....rude/could care less. Later several friends went out to dinner with us. One suggested Ginza until we told them what happened, so the 12 of us went elsewhere where we spent our $250 and left a nice 20% tip because we were treated nicely!!

The sashimi was ice cold, delicious and plentiful. Roll selection was varied and vast. Tempura was crisp, salads were delicious, and the hot dishes were hot and tasted great. The dessert selection, though small, wasn't the typical buffet fare. The brownies and carrot cake tasted fresh baked and I loved how the portions were small "tastes" in paper cups rather than a tray of generic sprinkled blobs. Nice fruit and ice cream selection as well. The service was friendly and quick. We didn't feel rushed at all. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the price, though worth it, was a bit expensive especially for my daughter (10.95).

My family and I have been here a handful of times and as Asian buffets go, its OK. Probably one of the better ones out there for the price although I do think they could have more of a healthy selection on the stir fried dishes. Nearly everything is breaded or fried or heavy glutinous items. But the on the last visit I was really put off by the aggressive server. My husband paid the bill with a $50 note and told the chinese waitress to keep the change which was around $4 or so. She looked at it, (uncomfortable silence), then tapped the receipt which said suggested gratuity 15-20%. Unbelievable! She left expecting us to leave more and I told my husband "don't you dare!". Its a buffet, you serve yourselves. You reckon to leave about a dollar a person at buffets. She only brought water and the silverware that was missing from the table in the first place. You do not leave 15-20% at a buffet, thats for restaurants where they serve you. We left and she ignored us on the way out. I complained to the Manager about her aggressive attitude but I doubt they care. Don't think I'll be back.

For sushi in general, this is NOT the place to go. I'm a very big sushi fan and all of the rolls/fish offered was disappointing. Luckily, the other food at the buffet was edible and actually tasty (think Chinese buffet.) My companion enjoyed his sushi, but stated, "Yeah, if this was all I was coming for, then I'd have been upset." Maybe we came at the wrong time or on the wrong day, but I can't say I'd return unless someone invited me.

Ok, writing these reviews is a challenge. "GOOD" , and a review of anything, always has to be put into a particular context. It's like trying to review beer and wine against one another. You can't do it. A magnificent Rhone, served while sitting on the 50 yard line of a football game in Soldier Field, is BAD! But the same wine at Mike Ditka's restaurant afterwards - served with a hunk of beef - is wonderful. So, to the point - make no mistake - this place is a "mass buffet" - lots of food, lots of choices. Like what a Chinese army mess hall must look like. No, it's not fine sushi, it's not the best of anything really. But it works - really works - it's just what I wanted, and what you should want, if you come. Lots of food, lots of variety - the old classics (e.g. Tempura, spring rolls, cheesy Americanized sushi, etc) . And at least on this particular day - it was all very fresh and very delicious ! Not that I calculate the amount of food I get per dollar any longer, but I have to say - the price for 2 at lunch was just north of $20 bucks - wow ! Where was this place when I was in college - it would have been the freshman 50 not 15 !

I expected the sushi here to be just ok, considering it's a buffet. Although none of their selections completely wowed me, I was impressed by how fresh and varied all the rolls were. I suggest going to the bar and getting one piece of each roll you'd like instead of taking a few pieces. My friends made that mistake and were stuck with some sushi they didn't particularly care for. When I came for dinner ($18), it was pretty packed, so if you prefer less crowds and a smaller bill, opt for lunch. I also believe you can put in a specific sushi order at the bar. I noticed a diner requesting a few. There's a vast array of hot food options (veggies, soups, tempura) as well as hibachi for those less interested in the sushi options. I didn't find any of their hot foods particularly appetizing to be honest. They were fine, but a bit bland and greasy. Nothing to rave about. Service was attentive; they took away plates and refilled teas/waters regularly. Overall, I thought it was a very decent space for a buffet , a clean and friendly place. I would come back if I'm really craving half decent, cheap sushi, but if you're looking for above average Japanese food, consider other options.

A friend recommended this place today, December 7, 2013. It is by far, the worst Japanese buffet I have ever been to! The spinach sushi they offered was dry and hard. Other sushi was not fresh and some of it virtually tasteless. The lobster cantonese was in a sauce that was not a cantonese sauce. The chicken was the cheapest cuts of meat available. The steamed fish was a variety that I could not identify. Not talapia...in fact, I hope it did not come from one of the contaminated fish places in China. Even the red bean ice cream was nearly tasteless, and, had no red beans in it. It just seemed that everything was of the cheapest quality available. What I should have realized is when you go to a restaurant in SE Florida, on a weekend in season, and, there is no waiting, they seat you right away because the place is half empty, there must be something wrong. This place is great if you just want to eat until you explode and don't care about what you are eating. If you want a good Japanese buffet, then I suggest either the one in Boca Raton, on Glade Road near the Florida Turnpike, or, there is another one on Powerline Road in Boca. The price is about the same and they food is great, and a much larger selection. One problem in this place is they did not replace an item until the very last piece was gone. Other places replenish the food when it is just a little over half gone. I rarely rant and rave about a place, but, I can only say for those who have stated they love this place, maybe you should try one of the other places and you will see the difference.

For $10.55 in total it was ok. Kinda wish sodas were included with the meal. But $1.95 for soda? Hmm no way! Anyway staff there were polite but I could tell they were just going threw the motions. Lunch rush was ok not crazy. The sushi bar had lots of variety and so was the Chinese bar. However I wish they had yakisoba noodle, which wasn't avail. Oh well maybe next time! Anyway, the most surprising offering I ate at Ginza yesterday was Red Bean Ice cream and Green Tea Ice cream. Which my taste buds said WOW! So for that Im giving this restaurant a 4/5 stars for my first visit there. Hope to make it 5 next time! ^_^

For a buffet style Japanese restaurant myself and the 2 other people I was with were amazed! The Sushi tasted fresh and a great raw bar which had a great selection: king crab legs, oysters, mussels and shrimp. I had asked a local who ate there often if it was safe to consume before indulging and it was great, none of us got sick. They also had nice selection of Chinese food as well. In fact, the spare ribs were incredible! The sushi selection included sashimi as well as specialty rolls displayed in a neat organized Japanese manner which were consistently replaced with freshly made sushi by attentive chefs and staff. The setting is very pleasant for a date or family, go and enjoy the food you will not be disappointed.

Staff was friendly. Went for lunch ($10) and you're getting what you pay for. The sushi was okay, you could tell that some had been sitting out for a while. Only tried a few cooked items which we could tell were frozen. In conclusion if you've experienced sushi other than from the grocery store you're most likely going to be disappointed.

While I'm not a local, I've been coming here a few times a year while visiting with my folks. This has been my daughter's favorite restaurant for years. Normally affordable sushi isn't all that great, and vice versa, but The Ginza is definitely an exception to that. They have a generous buffet of delicious sushi, sashimi and sea weed salads and edamame. Another long buffet is devoted to hot foods, including tempura, but more if typical Chinese food selection. Where they shine, however, is the sushi buffet. On both buffets on most visits I find everything fresh and plentiful. As with any place you'll get the odd off night, but in my experience dining here they mostly get it right. Service, which in this case consists of keeping the beverages coming and the dirty plates off the table between our trips to the buffet is pleasant and competent. Save room for the dessert side, various flavors of ice cream, including green tea as well as your typical chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and more

Among buffets, these is a high three star choice, largely on the strength of the sushi. I was impressed that there was a large variety of sushi, including more uncommon (for a buffet) choices like baby octopus. Obviously, the price is right if you want to gorge yourself on some pretty decent sushi. Hot items are hit or miss. I was surprised by how good the spring rolls and bourbon chicken were. The fried rice did not impress, nor did the spare ribs (which I'd enjoyed in the past) and were unfortunately uniformly cold and oily when I went. Buffets often suffer from terrible atmosphere, but not Ginza! It's quite pleasant and clean. All-in-all, if you're choosing a buffet, you're well-served with Ginza.

Worth the drive to meet my friend half-way to have sushi here. All the "usual" salad, seaweed, sushi and rolls, stir-fry station, hot foods, shrimp/oyster bar as well as fruit and dessert section for about 10 bucks pp plus tax/tip for lunch. The only items remiss from lunch time is their ribs and snowcrab legs which are served at dinnertime. The buffet line is clean and ALL leftovers at lunch are thrown out. I KNOW this to be true because my friend and I were one of the last tables to leave when they were closing for intermission before dinner commences and viewed them tearing down the buffet into garbage cans. It's refreshing to KNOW and witness firsthand THIS buffet doesn't skimp on quality and doesn't roll over the fish to take a chance that patrons will get food poisoning. It's a little drive for me from my area and the REAL detriment is that there is a lot of construction in the area right now in front of them as well as in the Publix shopping center along the side of them at Congress Avenue which makes it difficult to get in AND find parking. Other than that, the price alone makes it worthwhile.

We came here a year ago and when we returned this year for the holidays, we made sure to also return to Ginza. This time around, I had miso soup, savory and full of those yummy pieces of seaweed and tiny cubes of tofu. The best thing I had was the salmon sashimi. Delicate and fresh. I really enjoyed some green beans sauteed with garlic -- crisp and not overcooked at all. My own mom would've loved them. We will not hesitate to come here straight away when we come back again. Pro tip: lunch is a lot cheaper than dinner but the food is the same. So find time early in the day to hit this joint.

Ginza Japanese Buffet is a large, Asian-style buffet located on the corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Congress. When I'm working in the area, I frequent this restaurant for a quick, cheap, filling lunch. But nothing else. Ginza is basically your normal, production-line buffet. The inside is spacious, so there's never a wait. The front-of-house is always clean, although my co-worker commented his plate was not so clean. Personally I've never had a problem with dirty dishes. What makes Ginza better than other Asian buffets is it isn't a shit hole; it's clean and inviting. The service at Ginza is sufficient. Waiters whisk around and pick up your old plates quickly. Drinks come quick, there's always a smile on the waitresses faces. This buffet serves up your normal buffet fare: sushi, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, Bourbon chicken, vegetable tempura, etc. There is also a hibachi flattop where a small Hispanic man wearing a sideways snap back hat and a flat, expressionless face will whip of some stir fry vaguely reminiscent of authentic hibachi. Joy. Ginza is an average place to eat a quick lunch, if your not feeling adventurous or want something out of the norm. This is also a great place to bring grandma, because it feels somewhat exotic for a senior and is bland enough not to upset her digestive tract. For $13 it fill your belly, but doesn't offer any kind of memorable experience.

Ginza seems to have gone downhill. A few years ago I would have rated it four or five stars but now it's only three and even that's being generous. I was promptly seated and my server (whose name I didn't see because he didn't tell me and it wasn't on the bill) got us drinks in an adequate amount of time. The restaurant was not busy at all which I found strange for a Friday night. Their hot foods is lacking in both quantity and quality. A few years ago it was excellent - now it's mediocre at best. There just isn't enough to choose from considering the $18 price tag. There were maybe 14 or 16 pans from which to choose, and when french fries are one of them you know it's probably not going to be quality food. It seemed like not all the warmers were working properly because some dishes were hot and some barely warm. They did have crab legs but only cold ones and there was nothing with which to crack them open. Without a device with which to crack or cut them open eating crab legs is a pain in the butt. They have a nice-sized hibachi area where you can tell the cook which meats, vegetables and sauces you'd like and he prepares it for you right away. Unfortunately they're not shy about putting their tip jar front and center so you feel obligated to throw them a dollar or two. Pardon my language but fuck that. I'm not paying $18 so I can pay more for someone to do their job. And I was a server for several years - a server should be tipped. Someone who cooks the food should not. Our society has gotten way too crazy with everyone asking for tips when only people who depend on tips - those who make less than minimum wage - should receive them, like servers, taxi drivers, hair stylists, baggage handlers, etc. But I'm going off on a tangent here. I won't mention their dessert section because not only did I not have any but let's be honest - who cares about dessert at a Chinese buffet? Nearly all of them are average at best anyway. Ice cream, Jello, and weird chocolate pudding which somehow seems dirty - there, that comprises about 95% of all Chinese buffet dessert areas. Ginza's saving grace is their sushi area. If (and only if) you love sushi and sashimi, you should love this restaurant. I don't much care for either myself but in the interest of fairness I will say their sushi and sashimi is excellent. It's constantly prepared fresh by several people and it seems to be of high quality, but as I'm not a sushi connoisseur myself, I could be way off the mark there. There are many different kinds available, I'd guess around 20 or so. This place gets high praise for their sushi area from me. The service seems to be hit or miss. The night I went I was served by a white man with a goatee and the only reason I'm pointing out his race was because he was the only non-Asian server from what I could see. Also, just in case you get him, don't expect great service. At first he was fine, but when I finished my soda and he walked back and forth by it for over ten minutes without a refill, I was not impressed. I was also very close to the beverage station so he easily could have gotten me one during his many trips back and forth. Eventually I asked him for a refill and I suppose I'll give him a shred of credit because he did apologize for the long wait. I just don't understand why there was a wait at all - had he been in the weeds I absolutely would have sympathized because as I said, I served for many years. But he'd go into the server's area and sort silverware or drop dirty plates off and come out empty-handed and walk by my table every time. When he did take my cup I watched him go to the beverage station, stand there a few moments, then come out and walk past my table without a drink in hand. In those 20 seconds he forgot it, realized his problem when he walked by my table and I lacked a soda, then went to retrieve it. I watched an Asian female server with glasses and she was amazing. She brought out refill after refill for her tables, promptly removed dirty plates and was much more pleasant than the man with whom we dealt. Overall, for the hefty $18 price tag, the lack of hot food, the obligation to tip to get anything from the hibachi area and the poor service I received, it's going to be a long time before I return to Ginza. I'm giving this place three stars instead of two only because of their vast sushi and sashimi selection. If you're a fan of these foods it's worth trying. If not, stay away. Overall, taking into consideration quantity and quality I highly recommend Kingdom Buffet across the street from Ginza - they have about three times the selection of Ginza for nearly half the price. I usually go there but decided to give Ginza a try. My mistake.

Awesome buffet place for both Japanese and Chinese. Ginza does have really really tasty dishes for a buffet. A friend who lives in Boynton recommended Ginza and I have become a regular. The weekend dinner featuring ginger and scallion lobster and crab legs + very good sashimi is $18.95. Sushi bar has a good variety. The soups are very good - tried the Veggie Hot and Sour and the Miso. The Chinese dishes specifically the Lo Mein, Egg Fried Rice, Sauteed Mushrooms and the Coconut Shrimp are very tasty. They do have a Mongolian sir fry section with the build your own noodle and meat combos that are prepared for you with the added sauces. Dessert section has some sweet treats like cakes, almond cookies and 6 types of ice cream including red bean. Sushi section is replenished rt away. Service is great - waitress is quick. Lunch I believe is $10 and sounds like quite a bargain. Best buffet place I have found in S Florida. Xie Xie.

We were visiting from NYC and passed this place, being the huge sushi fans and in NYC we do not have sushi buffets like this. We walked into the spacious food area and had several orgasms (hubby and I) when we saw the rows of beautiful prepared sushi and sashimi. It was sushi heaven. I've had it with Ginza. Last time they were obviously short staffed. There was a help wanted sign in the window for a waitress which should have been my 1st warning. I have never been to ANY buffet where your table was not immediately bussed when you went back to the buffet. My sourpuss waitress engaged me twice and left my table as it was each time. I didn't think it was my job to tell her to do her job. This made for a most unpleasant dining experience.

Talk about a surprise. I am not a buffet fan. I do not expect quality, freshness, or taste when going to a buffet. Today I was convinced to eat at Ginza for a Japanese/Chinese food gorge fest. The restaurant itself looks way nicer than I envisioned. Clean, modern fixtures, tall ceilings. My mind always makes buffet places tiny, dingy and dirty. Point 1 for Ginza! The buffet selection was vast. Lots of sushi, salads, hibachi, cooked foods, soups, fried yummies, desserts.. All plentiful and constantly being refreshed. Point 2 for Ginza. I was in a vegetable mood.. I think only one thing I ate had meat in it (this happened to be a chicken sushi roll). Ginza caters very nicely to vegetarians! Even though I am not a vegetarian, I often do not want to eat meat.. so for making this super easy for me to do makes it point 3 for Ginza! Point 4 comes in when there were literally no old people here. None. I am shocked! I was expecting it to be a white hair fest with rude old people pushing over me and making life a little less pleasant. Maybe this is because season has pretty much come to an end.. but I was so happy to not be the youngest person in this establishment. Lots of young professionals! I am knocking down a star because our plates were not removed from our table very quickly. Also, my water was refilled once after I finished it off when I first got there, and the one refill I got was only for half a glass of water. Also, a big error in charging our credit cards happened that took quite a bit of time to fix. Other than that.. great job, Ginza!

For an all you can eat buffet, the sushi is good, fresh and plentiful. The non sushi and cook to order food is also good. It's a little pricey on the weekend but not bad during lunch or weekday dining.

Ayo! F@ck what that other guy said about buffet sushi. I cram my guts every time I'm in this place with Japanese and Chinese food alike and never had a problem. A great value if you visit during lunch hours and I have never seen a cleaner ACE (All you Can Eat) establishment around. All the waitresses are Asian even if most of the guys behind the counter are Central American but look close enough to Asian anyway, good casual ambience, and the hostess got some tig-o-bitties man. I'm there every time I got a day off mid week to take advantage of this great value.

Went to Ginza for lunch today. Took a variety of dishes which were all very good. As I was eating the Mongolian Beef my mouth was on fire. It was made with jalapeno peppers. My tongue and mouth became paralyzed. I called the manager over to confirm the ingredients and I was right. I have eaten this dish before at numerous other buffets and it is always made with green bell peppers. The manager couldn't care less. He told me to drink more water. I explained that I couldn't eat more and he ruined an otherwise enjoyable time with other people. I told him he should post a sign stating this dish is made with jalapenos, but he just said that is how we make it. All he kept repeating was to drink water. Any good businessman would at least offer me a cold soda or a chance to come back for lunch when I could try more food and enjoy it.

My wife and I stop there for an early dinner. They had a extensive sushi bar that appeared nice, but we do not eat sushi. We chose several of the offerings and found them satisfactory. The Oyster were a skimpy low grade product but then Oysters are expensive so I could deal with that also. I guess if you like sushi, the price is good but the other food was equal to Kingdom Buffet across the street but not as good or as many offerings. My complaint is that we were shown to a table, went up for our food, and had no contact with a server for 10-15 mins when I had to go over to one of the 3 waitresses standing around to ask for a drink. Later when my soda was empty, I decided not to chase the staff and no one approached our table to refill either drink. When done I gave her my credit card, filled it out and gave her a tip equivalent to 8%. When she looked at the check she questioned why she did not get at least 15%. I informed her that first of all, it is a Buffet, not a restaurant. I also informed her that she shouldn't even receive a tip as there was no service. she became angry and rude so we left and never went back again. The manager who had hear the commotion asked if everything was ok. When I explained, his comment was "oh". So food....ok, Service.....non existent, Staff.....rude/could care less. Later several friends went out to dinner with us. One suggested Ginza until we told them what happened, so the 12 of us went elsewhere where we spent our $250 and left a nice 20% tip because we were treated nicely!!

The rolls are still decent though, and sometimes are better than others depending on the chefs working I suppose. The price for lunch is good, I've gone there several times for lunch just for the value but I would not go for dinner- the cost is much too high for the quality of food. Besides the sushi, there's some good chicken, rice and other dishes though they are sometimes not warm from sitting out.

The place is much more upscale then your typical 10$ buffet, and they serve a delicious hot tea in traditional cast iron or ceramic kettle and cups (random selection). Ginza is a great way to have a sushi meal without breaking the bank.

I like Sushi but am allergic to tuna. They don't separate the tongs used to pick your sushi so I stayed away from that. The raw bar shrimp were small and not cold. The oysters looked dried out. I had a few bites of some appetizers like shrimp tempura, spring roll, and pork dumplings, they all tasted like something you get from the food court at the mall. I tried to voice my concerns to our waitress who said she would send over a manager but never did and then acted annoyed when we asked to speak to a manager when the check was given to us.

A friend recommended this place today, December 7, 2013. It is by far, the worst Japanese buffet I have ever been to! The spinach sushi they offered was dry and hard. Other sushi was not fresh and some of it virtually tasteless. The lobster cantonese was in a sauce that was not a cantonese sauce. The chicken was the cheapest cuts of meat available. The steamed fish was a variety that I could not identify. Not talapia...in fact, I hope it did not come from one of the contaminated fish places in China. Even the red bean ice cream was nearly tasteless, and, had no red beans in it. It just seemed that everything was of the cheapest quality available. What I should have realized is when you go to a restaurant in SE Florida, on a weekend in season, and, there is no waiting, they seat you right away because the place is half empty, there must be something wrong. This place is great if you just want to eat until you explode and don't care about what you are eating. If you want a good Japanese buffet, then I suggest either the one in Boca Raton, on Glade Road near the Florida Turnpike, or, there is another one on Powerline Road in Boca. The price is about the same and they food is great, and a much larger selection. One problem in this place is they did not replace an item until the very last piece was gone. Other places replenish the food when it is just a little over half gone. I rarely rant and rave about a place, but, I can only say for those who have stated they love this place, maybe you should try one of the other places and you will see the difference.

The food here is very good and very fresh. Kinda pricey though for a buffet. $20 is a bit much in my opinion. Service is okay. Sometimes they are quick to take away a dish, and sometimes you have to wait a bit.

For a buffet style Japanese restaurant myself and the 2 other people I was with were amazed! The Sushi tasted fresh and a great raw bar which had a great selection: king crab legs, oysters, mussels and shrimp. I had asked a local who ate there often if it was safe to consume before indulging and it was great, none of us got sick. They also had nice selection of Chinese food as well. In fact, the spare ribs were incredible! The sushi selection included sashimi as well as specialty rolls displayed in a neat organized Japanese manner which were consistently replaced with freshly made sushi by attentive chefs and staff. The setting is very pleasant for a date or family, go and enjoy the food you will not be disappointed.

For $10.55 in total it was ok. Kinda wish sodas were included with the meal. But $1.95 for soda? Hmm no way! Anyway staff there were polite but I could tell they were just going threw the motions. Lunch rush was ok not crazy. The sushi bar had lots of variety and so was the Chinese bar. However I wish they had yakisoba noodle, which wasn't avail. Oh well maybe next time! Anyway, the most surprising offering I ate at Ginza yesterday was Red Bean Ice cream and Green Tea Ice cream. Which my taste buds said WOW! The sashimi was ice cold, delicious and plentiful. Roll selection was varied and vast. Tempura was crisp, salads were delicious, and the hot dishes were hot and tasted great. The dessert selection, though small, wasn't the typical buffet fare. The brownies and carrot cake tasted fresh baked and I loved how the portions were small "tastes" in paper cups rather than a tray of generic sprinkled blobs. Nice fruit and ice cream selection as well. The service was friendly and quick. We didn't feel rushed at all. My family and I have been here a handful of times and as Asian buffets go, its OK. Probably one of the better ones out there for the price although I do think they could have more of a healthy selection on the stir fried dishes. Nearly everything is breaded or fried or heavy glutinous items. But the on the last visit I was really put off by the aggressive server. My husband paid the bill with a $50 note and told the chinese waitress to keep the change which was around $4 or so. She looked at it, (uncomfortable silence), then tapped the receipt which said suggested gratuity 15-20%. Unbelievable! She left expecting us to leave more and I told my husband "don't you dare!". Its a buffet, you serve yourselves. You reckon to leave about a dollar a person at buffets. She only brought water and the silverware that was missing from the table in the first place. You do not leave 15-20% at a buffet, thats for restaurants where they serve you. We left and she ignored us on the way out. I complained to the Manager about her aggressive attitude but I doubt they care. Don't think I'll be back.

While I'm not a local, I've been coming here a few times a year while visiting with my folks. This has been my daughter's favorite restaurant for years. Normally affordable sushi isn't all that great, and vice versa, but The Ginza is definitely an exception to that. They have a generous buffet of delicious sushi, sashimi and sea weed salads and edamame. Another long buffet is devoted to hot foods, including tempura, but more if typical Chinese food selection. Where they shine, however, is the sushi buffet. On both buffets on most visits I find everything fresh and plentiful. As with any place you'll get the odd off night, but in my experience dining here they mostly get it right. Service, which in this case consists of keeping the beverages coming and the dirty plates off the table between our trips to the buffet is pleasant and competent. Save room for the dessert side, various flavors of ice cream, including green tea as well as your typical chocolate, vanilla, strawberry and more

Among buffets, these is a high three star choice, largely on the strength of the sushi. I was impressed that there was a large variety of sushi, including more uncommon (for a buffet) choices like baby octopus. Obviously, the price is right if you want to gorge yourself on some pretty decent sushi. Hot items are hit or miss. I was surprised by how good the spring rolls and bourbon chicken were. The fried rice did not impress, nor did the spare ribs (which I'd enjoyed in the past) and were unfortunately uniformly cold and oily when I went. Buffets often suffer from terrible atmosphere, but not Ginza! It's quite pleasant and clean. All-in-all, if you're choosing a buffet, you're well-served with Ginza.

Worth the drive to meet my friend half-way to have sushi here. All the "usual" salad, seaweed, sushi and rolls, stir-fry station, hot foods, shrimp/oyster bar as well as fruit and dessert section for about 10 bucks pp plus tax/tip for lunch. The only items remiss from lunch time is their ribs and snowcrab legs which are served at dinnertime. The buffet line is clean and ALL leftovers at lunch are thrown out. I KNOW this to be true because my friend and I were one of the last tables to leave when they were closing for intermission before dinner commences and viewed them tearing down the buffet into garbage cans. It's refreshing to KNOW and witness firsthand THIS buffet doesn't skimp on quality and doesn't roll over the fish to take a chance that patrons will get food poisoning. It's a little drive for me from my area and the REAL detriment is that there is a lot of construction in the area right now in front of them as well as in the Publix shopping center along the side of them at Congress Avenue which makes it difficult to get in AND find parking. Other than that, the price alone makes it worthwhile.

I've been living in Boynton Beach over 20 years & finally decided to try this place. The worst food we ever experienced hope my wife & I don't get sick. Avoid this place like the plague. I don't see how people give this place a good rating. Well live & learn. Hope this helps others. By the way if you want a great Japanese buffet try Santos in Boca located on Federal Highway blows this place out of the water.

Staff was friendly. Went for lunch ($10) and you're getting what you pay for. The sushi was okay, you could tell that some had been sitting out for a while. Only tried a few cooked items which we could tell were frozen. In conclusion if you've experienced sushi other than from the grocery store you're most likely going to be disappointed.

This is the best Chinese Japanese buffet I have ever been to I usually just get sushi which is always fresh and there are about 20 different kinds of available this is awesome lunch prices are about $10. Dinner is about $18 There are also about 15 different kinds of Chinese Japanese menu items available. There is a hibachi grill and ice cream pudding and jello for dessert The atmosphere is pleasant and I never have to wait long It's great for days when I skipped a meal or just worked out and I'm really hungry Ginza will always satisfy my appetite

This place is amazing! $10.99 on a Sunday for all you can eat sushi and Japanese food that is actually super good quality! OH momma! Bring these to California please! I cannot believe how good the food and selection were and I pounder my $10.99 down on my 1st plate ( out of 3! ) I say.....everyone come to Ginza Buffet! Awesome food, friendly staff and an unbelieveable value! I didn't even get to the hibachi grill section, where they make a custom stir fry of your choices.....but will definitely be back to try it!!!!

We came here a year ago and when we returned this year for the holidays, we made sure to also return to Ginza. This time around, I had miso soup, savory and full of those yummy pieces of seaweed and tiny cubes of tofu. The best thing I had was the salmon sashimi. Delicate and fresh. I really enjoyed some green beans sauteed with garlic -- crisp and not overcooked at all. My own mom would've loved them. We will not hesitate to come here straight away when we come back again. Pro tip: lunch is a lot cheaper than dinner but the food is the same. So find time early in the day to hit this joint.

Ginza Japanese Buffet is a large, Asian-style buffet located on the corner of Boynton Beach Boulevard and Congress. When I'm working in the area, I frequent this restaurant for a quick, cheap, filling lunch. But nothing else. Ginza is basically your normal, production-line buffet. The inside is spacious, so there's never a wait. The front-of-house is always clean, although my co-worker commented his plate was not so clean. Personally I've never had a problem with dirty dishes. What makes Ginza better than other Asian buffets is it isn't a shit hole; it's clean and inviting. The service at Ginza is sufficient. Waiters whisk around and pick up your old plates quickly. Drinks come quick, there's always a smile on the waitresses faces. This buffet serves up your normal buffet fare: sushi, sesame chicken, Mongolian beef, Bourbon chicken, vegetable tempura, etc. There is also a hibachi flattop where a small Hispanic man wearing a sideways snap back hat and a flat, expressionless face will whip of some stir fry vaguely reminiscent of authentic hibachi. Joy. Ginza is an average place to eat a quick lunch, if your not feeling adventurous or want something out of the norm. This is also a great place to bring grandma, because it feels somewhat exotic for a senior and is bland enough not to upset her digestive tract. For $13 it fill your belly, but doesn't offer any kind of memorable experience.

Ginza seems to have gone downhill. A few years ago I would have rated it four or five stars but now it's only three and even that's being generous. I was promptly seated and my server (whose name I didn't see because he didn't tell me and it wasn't on the bill) got us drinks in an adequate amount of time. The restaurant was not busy at all which I found strange for a Friday night. Their hot foods is lacking in both quantity and quality. A few years ago it was excellent - now it's mediocre at best. There just isn't enough to choose from considering the $18 price tag. There were maybe 14 or 16 pans from which to choose, and when french fries are one of them you know it's probably not going to be quality food. It seemed like not all the warmers were working properly because some dishes were hot and some barely warm. They did have crab legs but only cold ones and there was nothing with which to crack them open. Without a device with which to crack or cut them open eating crab legs is a pain in the butt. They have a nice-sized hibachi area where you can tell the cook which meats, vegetables and sauces you'd like and he prepares it for you right away. Unfortunately they're not shy about putting their tip jar front and center so you feel obligated to throw them a dollar or two. Pardon my language but fuck that. I'm not paying $18 so I can pay more for someone to do their job. And I was a server for several years - a server should be tipped. Someone who cooks the food should not. Our society has gotten way too crazy with everyone asking for tips when only people who depend on tips - those who make less than minimum wage - should receive them, like servers, taxi drivers, hair stylists, baggage handlers, etc. But I'm going off on a tangent here. I won't mention their dessert section because not only did I not have any but let's be honest - who cares about dessert at a Chinese buffet? Nearly all of them are average at best anyway. Ice cream, Jello, and weird chocolate pudding which somehow seems dirty - there, that comprises about 95% of all Chinese buffet dessert areas. Ginza's saving grace is their sushi area. If (and only if) you love sushi and sashimi, you should love this restaurant. I don't much care for either myself but in the interest of fairness I will say their sushi and sashimi is excellent. It's constantly prepared fresh by several people and it seems to be of high quality, but as I'm not a sushi connoisseur myself, I could be way off the mark there. There are many different kinds available, I'd guess around 20 or so. This place gets high praise for their sushi area from me. The service seems to be hit or miss. The night I went I was served by a white man with a goatee and the only reason I'm pointing out his race was because he was the only non-Asian server from what I could see. Also, just in case you get him, don't expect great service. At first he was fine, but when I finished my soda and he walked back and forth by it for over ten minutes without a refill, I was not impressed. I was also very close to the beverage station so he easily could have gotten me one during his many trips back and forth. Eventually I asked him for a refill and I suppose I'll give him a shred of credit because he did apologize for the long wait. I just don't understand why there was a wait at all - had he been in the weeds I absolutely would have sympathized because as I said, I served for many years. But he'd go into the server's area and sort silverware or drop dirty plates off and come out empty-handed and walk by my table every time. When he did take my cup I watched him go to the beverage station, stand there a few moments, then come out and walk past my table without a drink in hand. In those 20 seconds he forgot it, realized his problem when he walked by my table and I lacked a soda, then went to retrieve it. I watched an Asian female server with glasses and she was amazing. She brought out refill after refill for her tables, promptly removed dirty plates and was much more pleasant than the man with whom we dealt. Overall, for the hefty $18 price tag, the lack of hot food, the obligation to tip to get anything from the hibachi area and the poor service I received, it's going to be a long time before I return to Ginza. I'm giving this place three stars instead of two only because of their vast sushi and sashimi selection. If you're a fan of these foods it's worth trying. If not, stay away. Overall, taking into consideration quantity and quality I highly recommend Kingdom Buffet across the street from Ginza - they have about three times the selection of Ginza for nearly half the price. I usually go there but decided to give Ginza a try. My mistake.

Awesome buffet place for both Japanese and Chinese. Ginza does have really really tasty dishes for a buffet. A friend who lives in Boynton recommended Ginza and I have become a regular. The weekend dinner featuring ginger and scallion lobster and crab legs + very good sashimi is $18.95. Sushi bar has a good variety. The soups are very good - tried the Veggie Hot and Sour and the Miso. The Chinese dishes specifically the Lo Mein, Egg Fried Rice, Sauteed Mushrooms and the Coconut Shrimp are very tasty. They do have a Mongolian sir fry section with the build your own noodle and meat combos that are prepared for you with the added sauces. Dessert section has some sweet treats like cakes, almond cookies and 6 types of ice cream including red bean. Sushi section is replenished rt away. Service is great - waitress is quick. Lunch I believe is $10 and sounds like quite a bargain. Best buffet place I have found in S Florida. Xie Xie.

We were visiting from NYC and passed this place, being the huge sushi fans and in NYC we do not have sushi buffets like this. We walked into the spacious food area and had several orgasms (hubby and I) when we saw the rows of beautiful prepared sushi and sashimi. It was sushi heaven. Had several plates, was stuffed and left satisfied. All for $10/pp lunch. Great place and will be back in a couple of months when I go to visit mom again.

I've had it with Ginza. Last time they were obviously short staffed. There was a help wanted sign in the window for a waitress which should have been my 1st warning. I have never been to ANY buffet where your table was not immediately bussed when you went back to the buffet. My sourpuss waitress engaged me twice and left my table as it was each time. I didn't think it was my job to tell her to do her job. This made for a most unpleasant dining experience.

Talk about a surprise. I am not a buffet fan. I do not expect quality, freshness, or taste when going to a buffet. Today I was convinced to eat at Ginza for a Japanese/Chinese food gorge fest. The restaurant itself looks way nicer than I envisioned. Clean, modern fixtures, tall ceilings. My mind always makes buffet places tiny, dingy and dirty. Point 1 for Ginza! The buffet selection was vast. Lots of sushi, salads, hibachi, cooked foods, soups, fried yummies, desserts.. All plentiful and constantly being refreshed. Point 2 for Ginza. I was in a vegetable mood.. I think only one thing I ate had meat in it (this happened to be a chicken sushi roll). Ginza caters very nicely to vegetarians! Even though I am not a vegetarian, I often do not want to eat meat.. so for making this super easy for me to do makes it point 3 for Ginza! Point 4 comes in when there were literally no old people here. None. I am shocked! I was expecting it to be a white hair fest with rude old people pushing over me and making life a little less pleasant. Maybe this is because season has pretty much come to an end.. but I was so happy to not be the youngest person in this establishment. Lots of young professionals! I am knocking down a star because our plates were not removed from our table very quickly. Also, my water was refilled once after I finished it off when I first got there, and the one refill I got was only for half a glass of water. Also, a big error in charging our credit cards happened that took quite a bit of time to fix. Other than that.. great job, Ginza!

For an all you can eat buffet, the sushi is good, fresh and plentiful. The non sushi and cook to order food is also good. It's a little pricey on the weekend but not bad during lunch or weekday dining.

Ayo! F@ck what that other guy said about buffet sushi. I cram my guts every time I'm in this place with Japanese and Chinese food alike and never had a problem. A great value if you visit during lunch hours and I have never seen a cleaner ACE (All you Can Eat) establishment around. All the waitresses are Asian even if most of the guys behind the counter are Central American but look close enough to Asian anyway, good casual ambience, and the hostess got some tig-o-bitties man. I'm there every time I got a day off mid week to take advantage of this great value.

Went to Ginza for lunch today. Took a variety of dishes which were all very good. As I was eating the Mongolian Beef my mouth was on fire. It was made with jalapeno peppers. My tongue and mouth became paralyzed. I called the manager over to confirm the ingredients and I was right. I have eaten this dish before at numerous other buffets and it is always made with green bell peppers. The manager couldn't care less. He told me to drink more water. I explained that I couldn't eat more and he ruined an otherwise enjoyable time with other people. I told him he should post a sign stating this dish is made with jalapenos, but he just said that is how we make it. All he kept repeating was to drink water. Any good businessman would at least offer me a cold soda or a chance to come back for lunch when I could try more food and enjoy it.

Being from Seattle I have high standards for sushi. Ginza did not disappoint. The sushi was really fresh and varied. Lots of interesting rolls along with a good variety of Japanese salads. The hot foods were OK nothing spectacular. The place itself was very attractive and clean. Lunch was very affordable and a good price for a buffet.

My wife and I stop there for an early dinner. They had a extensive sushi bar that appeared nice, but we do not eat sushi. We chose several of the offerings and found them satisfactory. The Oyster were a skimpy low grade product but then Oysters are expensive so I could deal with that also. I guess if you like sushi, the price is good but the other food was equal to Kingdom Buffet across the street but not as good or as many offerings. My complaint is that we were shown to a table, went up for our food, and had no contact with a server for 10-15 mins when I had to go over to one of the 3 waitresses standing around to ask for a drink. Later when my soda was empty, I decided not to chase the staff and no one approached our table to refill either drink. When done I gave her my credit card, filled it out and gave her a tip equivalent to 8%. When she looked at the check she questioned why she did not get at least 15%. I informed her that first of all, it is a Buffet, not a restaurant. I also informed her that she shouldn't even receive a tip as there was no service. she became angry and rude so we left and never went back again. The manager who had hear the commotion asked if everything was ok. When I explained, his comment was "oh". So food....ok, Service.....non existent, Staff.....rude/could care less. Later several friends went out to dinner with us. One suggested Ginza until we told them what happened, so the 12 of us went elsewhere where we spent our $250 and left a nice 20% tip because we were treated nicely!!

For sushi in general, this is NOT the place to go. I'm a very big sushi fan and all of the rolls/fish offered was disappointing. Luckily, the other food at the buffet was edible and actually tasty (think Chinese buffet.) My companion enjoyed his sushi, but stated, "Yeah, if this was all I was coming for, then I'd have been upset." Maybe we came at the wrong time or on the wrong day, but I can't say I'd return unless someone invited me.

Ok, writing these reviews is a challenge. "GOOD" , and a review of anything, always has to be put into a particular context. It's like trying to review beer and wine against one another. You can't do it. A magnificent Rhone, served while sitting on the 50 yard line of a football game in Soldier Field, is BAD! But the same wine at Mike Ditka's restaurant afterwards - served with a hunk of beef - is wonderful. So, to the point - make no mistake - this place is a "mass buffet" - lots of food, lots of choices. Like what a Chinese army mess hall must look like. No, it's not fine sushi, it's not the best of anything really. But it works - really works - it's just what I wanted, and what you should want, if you come. Lots of food, lots of variety - the old classics (e.g. Tempura, spring rolls, cheesy Americanized sushi, etc) . And at least on this particular day - it was all very fresh and very delicious ! Not that I calculate the amount of food I get per dollar any longer, but I have to say - the price for 2 at lunch was just north of $20 bucks - wow ! Where was this place when I was in college - it would have been the freshman 50 not 15 !

Go during lunch on weekdays for $10 all you can eat buffet of sushi, lo mein, miso, and shrimp! It is almost double the price per person on weekends but they've got all you can eat crab legs on weekends!

Dinner was $35 and we got here at 8:15 they seated us with the staff, none of the food was fresh I would've walked right out but I expected to be only like $10/12 a person,... What a rip off! Avoid like the plague

I expected the sushi here to be just ok, considering it's a buffet. Although none of their selections completely wowed me, I was impressed by how fresh and varied all the rolls were. I suggest going to the bar and getting one piece of each roll you'd like instead of taking a few pieces. My friends made that mistake and were stuck with some sushi they didn't particularly care for. When I came for dinner ($18), it was pretty packed, so if you prefer less crowds and a smaller bill, opt for lunch. I also believe you can put in a specific sushi order at the bar. I noticed a diner requesting a few. There's a vast array of hot food options (veggies, soups, tempura) as well as hibachi for those less interested in the sushi options. I didn't find any of their hot foods particularly appetizing to be honest. They were fine, but a bit bland and greasy. Nothing to rave about. Service was attentive; they took away plates and refilled teas/waters regularly. Overall, I thought it was a very decent space for a buffet , a clean and friendly place. I would come back if I'm really craving half decent, cheap sushi, but if you're looking for above average Japanese food, consider other options.

We eat here a few times per week for lunch. That should say enough. The sushi is good, the hibachi is good, the Chinese food is good. I love the miso soup and the seaweed salad bar. You can't miss for $10 lunch at this place trust me.

Its absolutely the best quality of sea food sushi buffet in Palm Beach! I am taking my entire family there almost every week for a dinner. We love it! The food is always fresh; the stuff is always super nice and attentive to your needs; the premisses are clean and well organized!!!
