Probably the best Chinese restaurant I've been to in Florida (besides Tropical which is over an hour away). Food is prepared with 100% Veg. oil. Non-greasy and not heavy at all. Big portions! Located in a plaza. Small yet big enough to comfortably fit large groups and couples. Staff is friendly but not too helpful with food opinions. Clean. The Chinese Dumplings and Sei Mei were tasty and large. The Singapore noodles were light, fresh, fulfilling. The Kung Pao chicken was loaded with fresh veggies and a light yet flavorful sauce. Prices are moderate (a bit more pricey then most Chinese places)- but worth it. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I'm raising my review to 4 stars, not 5 yet because the bathrooms are still in need of a renovation, with peeling wallpaper, dirty ceiling,old tile that looks like it has not been scrubbed in a long time, and old fixtures. That being said, the parking lot was nice and bright now. Somebody listened. Every table has fresh table cloths, the waitress s super friendly, we tipped her 25% of the bill, which was not cheap....still a little on the expensive side, as everything is pretty much a-la-carte. It seems mgmt. will not lower prices, as they were crowded on a Tuesday night. Food was excellent, hostess was friendly, and prompt and waitress was attentive. Best Chinese food in Boynton Beach.

Baffles me a little the number of great reviews for this place. Me and my wife went there with some friends about 6 months ago and it was blah... alright I guess. I think we had said back then we would not come back but ended up there again since they have Dim Sum and no one else does. We were the first ones in the place upon opening and the food they served had to have been from the day before or something, but definitely was not fresh. The clear skin around the shrimp dumpling things was rock hard. I asked them about it and they took the 2 of the 4 that had not been tried and came back after steaming them longer... I am actually rather easy to please but the food was just either 1) old, 2) poor quality or 3) left over... all of which are just not acceptable in a decent restaurant. I actually just stopped eating when it was clear the food was not going to be fresh and got my check. Maybe they were really good at some point, but I won't go back again... seriously this time!

I really enjoy this place. The food is excellent outside of NYC. The inside looks like a Chinatown place (a clean one). They have dim sum carts on Sunday. You can watch them make the dim sum through a windowed room. It gets packed for weekend dinner.

I am not a chef but I can tell when something is not fresh and everything I am being served seems like it is from yesterday. Hell... It just opened 10 mins ago. Top it off when I ask then for fresh one they come back with two pieces instead of the original four. I lived in Hong Kong and my wife is Chinese. I will never come here again.

I have to say I've been reading restaurant posting boards for many years. I'm sure I've read thousands. My all-time favorite review ever, ever, ever has to be, "I have eaten here many times...The food is outrageously priced and really not that great for what you get." Anyway, it is some of the best Americanized Chinese I've ever had. The dumplings--as the name would suggest--are outstanding. Dishes are not dynamic; certainly for American taste buds, but they Gringo Chinese as well as any I've ever had.

Fantastic chinese food. The menu is quite large and there is certainly something for everyone here. Food comes quickly and with a great portion size. There's always enough for leftovers, and you're going to want that! Service is outstanding. I've been coming here for about three years now, and I don't think the staff has changed at all. Everyone is very polite and friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. Given the "age bracket" of the majority of Boynton Beach, China Dumpling tends to get packed around the 4:30pm area thru around 7:45pm. The restaurant offers call-ahead seating, but I've never actually remembered that they do until I'm there and waiting. The one and only reason that this restaurant loses a star is price. For chinese food, they are incredibly expensive. For a party of three last week, with one appetizer and three entrees, our dinner bill was $79. We didn't have any sort of alcohol or dessert. Food is just extremely expensive there. China Dumpling is a great choice for chinese in Boynton Beach, but save your visits for a "once in a while" basis, as their pricey menu can be a bit too much for the average diner.

Great food, very small portions, overpriced, not as clean inside as I would have liked. All of the dinnerware was miniature sized, therefore, as one can assume, the food portions were miniature as well. (compared to any other restaurant/typical American standard). Food was very good and didn't have layers upon layers of fried batter,but $15 a dish was far to much for the quantity given..and for the quality of the restaurant itself. Glass of plum wine was $5, like any other Chinese establishment, but the glass was 1/8th the size of a regular one! Upon receiving it, my boyfriend and I both had to hold back laughter! To start they bring tea and those greasy noodles, which were actually pretty good . Servers were friendly as well. With a mini glass of wine, a 15 dollar app and 2 entrees, the bill was around 70. We aren't stingy at all, but this place was definitely alittle too pricey. My boyfriend and I won't be going back anytime soon.

This is the best chinese restaurant in town HANDS DOWN! The food is absolutely delicious and very filling. My favorite items are those found on the dim sum menu. The dumplings are just scrumptious. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted with a smile. They are sure to cater to your needs and everything is cooked to order. I cannot eat chinese food from anywhere else because it doesn't even compare. The owner of this restaurant is rude and obnoxious. I called to inquire about their dim sum on a weekday to see if it was made fresh on a daily basis. I didn't want to order food left over from the weekend. The owner, instead of answering me, gave me a lot of attitude saying their dim sum was made on site. That's not what I asked, so I ignored her attitude and politely asked again, "yes, but is it made daily?" The owner was practically yelling at me at this point and still didn't answer my question. Although I have eaten here many times in the past, I will never pay money to eat here again given her unprofessional behavior! The food is outrageously priced and really not that great for what you get. I'll take my money elsewhere.

This is the best Chinese food that I have tried in the area so far. It is a little pricey for Chinese food but seeing as there are no other good places that I have been to anywhere near here I will gladly pay it. They great part is that they have Dim Sum. The wife and I have only tried the appetizers that they serve all the time and they are very good. We are dying to come to the weekend (11am - 3pm I believe) dim sum so that we can try the full potential. The service so far has been excellent and they have been very friendly and outgoing. Every entree we have tried so far has been great. The portions are also large so the wife and I will normally order an appetizer and an entree and share it. I highly recommend this place.

I came here early one night for dinner. The inside was set up nice, and the staff greeted us immediately. As we began looking over the menu, I noticed they have a vegetarian section. When I see this, a restaurant always is on my good side. I ordered the bean curd (tofu) with a brown sauce and veggies. The sauce was amazing, while the food itself was cooked perfect. We ordered our food and it came out within 10 minutes. No joke! Overall, the food was awesome and the staff was great. I seriously love this place. This place just made my favorite Chinese restaurant in Boynton Beach.

Woohooo there's a restaurant named China Dumpling Restaurant. That was my first reaction.... about 40 minutes later, dumpling? What dumpling? I don't know why this place called dumpling restaurant but this is what I know: their house dumplings is average. Nothing special whatsoever!!!!! Wonton soup tastes stale. Egg drop soup was bland. Lomein was very basic. Moo shu pork was decent.

Always a good place to bring the family when they visit from out of town and they are craving some Chinese food. The house special fried rice is so good it is always worth coming back for. If you have 5 people at the table you are good with ordering 3 plates of goodies, they will be the right amount of food for everyone on the table. If you are into wonton soup it is also a good starter for your appetite. The only thing I wish is that they add sweet tea or raspberry tea to the drink menu. They do always give you hot tea for the table, however. The staff is good you will always be welcome in the restaurant.

After having read so many one star reviews of this restaurant we were was a bit reluctant to try another middling South Florida Chinese restaurant with relatively high prices...... Since this spot featured dumplings we decided to give it a try anyway. Our experience was far from one star as follows: The hot sour soup was outstanding being relatively thick( without being starchy)rich with the usual ingredients. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 stars since it was not sour enough.. the spare ribs were thick and meaty, clearly worthy of 4 stars. I subtracted a star since it needed a bit more of a barbecue/anise or whatever flavor.The dumpling basket had a medley of various dumplings. The shrimp dumplings clearly were 5 stars. The Singapore noodle dish was slightly better than okay and deserved at least 3 stars..... I thought it could have had a bit more shrimp and/or chicken in it. The curried shrimp dish was particularly outstanding. The service was adequate,but my wife thought our waitress was a bit less than gracious. As we sat down before we ordered ....we were served a pot of tea without asking. We did not have any desserts. The bathrooms were clean as per my OCD wife. The bottom line is that this Chinese restaurant is much better than generic and clearly better than any other Chinese restaurant we've attended in the last year or two in South Florida. The large number of single star reviews still puzzles me ....Yes, I believe the prices are a bit higher than than you will find in your typical boring generic South Florida Chinese restaurant..... but you can cut the tab by10 percent if you pay in cash. The food was clearly worth the cost.

I think the food here is delicious. I ordered Buddah's Feast the few times that I have gone. I will say that I am disappointed they don't have a vegetarian friendly broth. I still have not figured out the purpose of Chinese restaurants that have a tofu soup but it's a chicken broth. I hope they some day change that. I also feel that the menu is over priced for what they give you. They don't have a lot to offer as far as specials. Everything is ordered separately. I think if the menu was a little less expensive I would give this place 4 or 5 stars because the food is actually very good.

I've been to China Dumpling a few times a while back, but haven't patronized this restaurant in several years. I'd say it's been at least 8 years since I've stepped inside this restaurant. I decided to place an order for take out today because they have dim sum. Or so I thought. I mean, at least they have these items on their menu. It's all I really wanted as I'm a sucker for dim sum. But when I called to place my order, I felt duped. They "no longer served" the sticky rice in lotus leaf or the stuffed bean curd roll. The dim sum offerings were pretty meager to begin with, but my question is why keep it on the printed menu if you no longer offer it? So in the end I ordered the crystal shrimp dumplings and half a Peking duck. When I went to pick up my order, I walked inside and was taken aback at just how dingy the place was. It needs a serious remodeling, or at the very least a deep cleaning. The girl who rang me up was very nice and friendly though. The shrimp dumplings smelled a bit fishy, but they were actually very good. The shrimps were fresh and well seasoned. But the duck was another story. It was tough, gamey, and the skin had a strange red color. It tasted old. It came with scallions and pancakes and plum sauce but even all the accompaniments failed to make this duck palatable. So 2.5 stars really, rounded up to three because the shrimp dumplings were above average in my opinion. But I think it's safe to say I'm through patronizing this place.

What a shame...the pan fried dumplings use to be out of the world, closest to those I would get from New York. The other dishes were pretty bad, catering to their American clientele (you know...pork fried rice, egg rolls, wonton soup). I was extremely disappointed...honestly couldn't tell you if the dumplings were stuffed with pork or chicken, that's how bad they were. I see now from other reviews that they changed owners...I knew right away after one bite. Big mistake ... I won't be back! Drive further and go to Toa Toa!

Not going to even edit my notes: Egg roll. Distinct freezer burn taste in filling. Did not finish. Bathrooms tacky, wallpaper peeling, painted very sloppy. Decor is basically "shopping center leftovers". Who puts cup upside down on the bare table? (See pic) One of dirtiest surfaces in any restaurant. Fried rice. Blah. Nothing fresh about it. Leftover from yesterday? No garlic flavor in honey garlic chicken. Just honey. Broccoli cold. Chicken. Fair. No way this palm beach's best Chinese. Not close. Haven't been here in quite a few months and was disappointed to find that they have essentially removed all of my favorite dim sum items (spareribs with black bean sauce, rice paste, etc) from the menu due to "no time to cook everything anymore". There was only 1 server on duty during the lunch period which is supposed to be their busiest time on the weekend - not a good sign! Just like the other Yelper mentioned, they already had a small selection to begin with, but they have reduced it even further to just 3 or 4 items and the carts have been long gone apparently since there was an explosion there quite a while back. They couldn't even get the tea right - it tasted like soap!! So sad that this place has gone downhill so much as it was the closest place to our house that served dim sum, our favorite comfort food indulgence on many weekends after a week full of healthy eating! We'll be giving Real Wok a try instead on Hypoluxo and Military - looks like they still have the dim sum carts!!

Coming from someone that travels a lot, this was a breath of fresh air. Fresh ingredients are often challenging to find, and this place definitely uses them. Pick-up was very easy, ordering via phone was too. Would be nice if they added online ordering as an option. Would definitely recommend, and can't wait to go back for their General Tso Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles.

China Dumpling is BY FAR the best Chinese, not only in Boynton Beach, but anywhere in the Boca/Delray/Boynton/Lake Worth area. The only other place that is just as good is Christine Lee's in Aventura. Some of my favorite things are the: dumplings, eggrolls, spare ribs, egg foo young, general tso's chicken, and pad thai. The only bad things about this place: 1. The service- it's hit or miss who you get, just like any other place. The worst waitress in there is the American girl lol But, the food does get out fast, regardless. 2. The Price- it is slightly too expensive for the area/restaurant atmosphere, but worth it since the food is not poison. 3. They don't deliver, which is AWFUL because it is SO GOOD. Trust me.. every other place in Boynton( Wing Wah, Orient Express (?) next to Quantum Publix) they're all garbage. Spend the extra $10 and get a good meal. ENJOY!

Sorry, but there is no great Chinese food in the United States outside New York City and California, and South Florida is no exception. Nevertheless, with the context of being in South Florida considered, this restaurant isn't half bad. Despite having to wait even though we had a reservation, the service was good. Our waitress was absolutely hilarious, a total jokester. Just totally naturally funny. Now, onto the food. The highlight of the dinner were the BBQ spare ribs, which were honestly pretty close to NYC standards. They were well sauced, and had that tangy saucy taste you hope for when you order such a dish. I ordered the chicken and broccoli which was pretty decent and standard, maybe a bit too much sauce. The pork fried rice was also as expected, decent. I am not a native of South Florida but I have been told by my parents and others that this is the best Chinese in the area, and I'd believe it. It definitely exceeded my expectations knowing how Chinese is in Ohio. Now, in New York this restaurant would have registered 2 or 3 stars, but seeing that it is outside the Chinese bubble this is where it's at in Palm Beach County!

As good as it gets for Florida! I fell in LOVE with the dumplings I had in Shanghai, and have been searching for some decent dumplings since I moved to FL over 7 years ago with no luck whatsoever. Most, if not every other Chinese place I have tried have been disgusting and uninspired. All the dumplings were filled with cabbage and just not right. Here they make the dumplings by hand, you can see through a window and watch them do it, just like in China! They were not overly filled with cabbage, and had authentic flavor. Their dumplings definitely did not disappoint! They were 90% similar to the ones I was hoping and dreaming for, which is good enough for me! Their other dishes were also delicious, the fried rice is great. The prices are a bit high, similar to Thai places around the area, but it is worth it to have some decent Chinese food!

Been going to The Dumpling for 20 years. It was the only real Chinese around. It is no longer even edible. The manager proudly told me he replaced his entire kitchen staff. They stopped making their own dumplings and egg rolls and now use pre made frozen items. Fried rice was greasy and virtually no pork to be found. Our waitress told us that all the old customers have stopped coming and business was way down. Waitresses that have been around forever have left because business is so slow. Tonight they only had 2 servers and 1 busser working. Time to start looking for a new Chinese restaurant.

One of the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten at. The Hot n Sour soup was really blend and the Shrimp with Lobster sauce was salty at best without the veggies. Crystal Shrimp dumplings should have bamboo shoots in them but could not even find any traces of it anywhere. And it's over priced. Service however was decent but I will not eat here again.

I am actually rather easy to please but the food was just either 1) old, 2) poor quality or 3) left over... all of which are just not acceptable in a decent restaurant. I actually just stopped eating when it was clear the food was not going to be fresh and got my check. Maybe they were really good at some point, but I won't go back again... seriously this time!

Great menu! Many selections you don't see anywhere else. Fresh made dumplings are something you must try if tyou haven't! Open clean show kitchen is a big plus! Have been back for the roasted pork and won ton soup several times now.

I really enjoy this place. The food is excellent outside of NYC. The inside looks like a Chinatown place (a clean one). They have dim sum carts on Sunday. You can watch them make the dim sum through a windowed room. It gets packed for weekend dinner.

I am not a chef but I can tell when something is not fresh and everything I am being served seems like it is from yesterday. Hell... It just opened 10 mins ago. Top it off when I ask then for fresh one they come back with two pieces instead of the original four. I lived in Hong Kong and my wife is Chinese. I will never come here again.

I have to say I've been reading restaurant posting boards for many years. I'm sure I've read thousands. My all-time favorite review ever, ever, ever has to be, "I have eaten here many times...The food is outrageously priced and really not that great for what you get." Anyway, it is some of the best Americanized Chinese I've ever had. The dumplings--as the name would suggest--are outstanding. Dishes are not dynamic; certainly for American taste buds, but they Gringo Chinese as well as any I've ever had.

Fantastic chinese food. The menu is quite large and there is certainly something for everyone here. Food comes quickly and with a great portion size. There's always enough for leftovers, and you're going to want that! Service is outstanding. I've been coming here for about three years now, and I don't think the staff has changed at all. Everyone is very polite and friendly, and they go out of their way to make sure you have a great dining experience. Given the "age bracket" of the majority of Boynton Beach, China Dumpling tends to get packed around the 4:30pm area thru around 7:45pm. The restaurant offers call-ahead seating, but I've never actually remembered that they do until I'm there and waiting. The one and only reason that this restaurant loses a star is price. For chinese food, they are incredibly expensive. For a party of three last week, with one appetizer and three entrees, our dinner bill was $79. We didn't have any sort of alcohol or dessert. Food is just extremely expensive there. China Dumpling is a great choice for chinese in Boynton Beach, but save your visits for a "once in a while" basis, as their pricey menu can be a bit too much for the average diner.

One of the worst dining experiences ever. Two in our party had to send their food back because it tasted rancid. The waitress never apologized or even asked if we wanted something else. And, who ever heard of a Chinese restaurant that charges extra if you share an entree???

Great food, very small portions, overpriced, not as clean inside as I would have liked. All of the dinnerware was miniature sized, therefore, as one can assume, the food portions were miniature as well. (compared to any other restaurant/typical American standard). Food was very good and didn't have layers upon layers of fried batter,but $15 a dish was far to much for the quantity given..and for the quality of the restaurant itself. Glass of plum wine was $5, like any other Chinese establishment, but the glass was 1/8th the size of a regular one! Upon receiving it, my boyfriend and I both had to hold back laughter! To start they bring tea and those greasy noodles, which were actually pretty good . Servers were friendly as well. With a mini glass of wine, a 15 dollar app and 2 entrees, the bill was around 70. We aren't stingy at all, but this place was definitely alittle too pricey. My boyfriend and I won't be going back anytime soon.

Visiting palm beach for the weekend and wanted some Chinese takeout. Found this place after searching yelp. Quiet night here but was not disappointed at all. Had wonton soup and house special lo mein. The dish was huge and big enough to feed my girlfriend and I with leftovers to take home. Give the place 4 stars for location. Staff was great as well. I agree w/Victoria, this is the best Chinese I've had in the area. Wonderful lo mein- fresh crisp veggies. They're very accommodating, adding extra spice as requested. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Great service too.

This is the best chinese restaurant in town HANDS DOWN! The food is absolutely delicious and very filling. My favorite items are those found on the dim sum menu. The dumplings are just scrumptious. The restaurant has a very nice atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted with a smile. They are sure to cater to your needs and everything is cooked to order. I cannot eat chinese food from anywhere else because it doesn't even compare. I highly recommend you experience this wonderful dining.

The owner of this restaurant is rude and obnoxious. I called to inquire about their dim sum on a weekday to see if it was made fresh on a daily basis. I didn't want to order food left over from the weekend. The owner, instead of answering me, gave me a lot of attitude saying their dim sum was made on site. That's not what I asked, so I ignored her attitude and politely asked again, "yes, but is it made daily?" The owner was practically yelling at me at this point and still didn't answer my question. Although I have eaten here many times in the past, I will never pay money to eat here again given her unprofessional behavior! The food is outrageously priced and really not that great for what you get. I'll take my money elsewhere.

If you must eat Chinese in this area find a different place. The restaurant has a sign inside that says top 100 Chinese food in Florida, we wondered who voted. It was not us.

This is the best Chinese food that I have tried in the area so far. It is a little pricey for Chinese food but seeing as there are no other good places that I have been to anywhere near here I will gladly pay it. They great part is that they have Dim Sum. The wife and I have only tried the appetizers that they serve all the time and they are very good. We are dying to come to the weekend (11am - 3pm I believe) dim sum so that we can try the full potential. The service so far has been excellent and they have been very friendly and outgoing. Every entree we have tried so far has been great. The portions are also large so the wife and I will normally order an appetizer and an entree and share it. I highly recommend this place.

I came here early one night for dinner. The inside was set up nice, and the staff greeted us immediately. As we began looking over the menu, I noticed they have a vegetarian section. When I see this, a restaurant always is on my good side. I ordered the bean curd (tofu) with a brown sauce and veggies. The sauce was amazing, while the food itself was cooked perfect. We ordered our food and it came out within 10 minutes. No joke! Overall, the food was awesome and the staff was great. I seriously love this place. This place just made my favorite Chinese restaurant in Boynton Beach.

Woohooo there's a restaurant named China Dumpling Restaurant. That was my first reaction.... about 40 minutes later, dumpling? What dumpling? I don't know why this place called dumpling restaurant but this is what I know: their house dumplings is average. Nothing special whatsoever!!!!! Wonton soup tastes stale. Egg drop soup was bland. Lomein was very basic. Moo shu pork was decent.

Always a good place to bring the family when they visit from out of town and they are craving some Chinese food. The house special fried rice is so good it is always worth coming back for. If you have 5 people at the table you are good with ordering 3 plates of goodies, they will be the right amount of food for everyone on the table. If you are into wonton soup it is also a good starter for your appetite. The only thing I wish is that they add sweet tea or raspberry tea to the drink menu. They do always give you hot tea for the table, however. The staff is good you will always be welcome in the restaurant.

After having read so many one star reviews of this restaurant we were was a bit reluctant to try another middling South Florida Chinese restaurant with relatively high prices...... Since this spot featured dumplings we decided to give it a try anyway. Our experience was far from one star as follows: The hot sour soup was outstanding being relatively thick( without being starchy)rich with the usual ingredients. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 stars since it was not sour enough.. the spare ribs were thick and meaty, clearly worthy of 4 stars. I subtracted a star since it needed a bit more of a barbecue/anise or whatever flavor.The dumpling basket had a medley of various dumplings. The shrimp dumplings clearly were 5 stars. The Singapore noodle dish was slightly better than okay and deserved at least 3 stars..... I thought it could have had a bit more shrimp and/or chicken in it. The curried shrimp dish was particularly outstanding. The service was adequate,but my wife thought our waitress was a bit less than gracious. As we sat down before we ordered ....we were served a pot of tea without asking. We did not have any desserts. The bathrooms were clean as per my OCD wife. The bottom line is that this Chinese restaurant is much better than generic and clearly better than any other Chinese restaurant we've attended in the last year or two in South Florida. The large number of single star reviews still puzzles me ....Yes, I believe the prices are a bit higher than than you will find in your typical boring generic South Florida Chinese restaurant..... but you can cut the tab by10 percent if you pay in cash. The food was clearly worth the cost.

Looks like this restaurant changed owners since last year. I remember liking the food here when I first visited about a year ago. But it has gone down hill. They claim to be NY style and I come from NY. The reality is far from that. The food here is worse than chinese take out in NY. I am not coming back.

I think the food here is delicious. I ordered Buddah's Feast the few times that I have gone. I will say that I am disappointed they don't have a vegetarian friendly broth. I still have not figured out the purpose of Chinese restaurants that have a tofu soup but it's a chicken broth. I hope they some day change that. I also feel that the menu is over priced for what they give you. They don't have a lot to offer as far as specials. Everything is ordered separately. I think if the menu was a little less expensive I would give this place 4 or 5 stars because the food is actually very good.

I've been to China Dumpling a few times a while back, but haven't patronized this restaurant in several years. I'd say it's been at least 8 years since I've stepped inside this restaurant. I decided to place an order for take out today because they have dim sum. Or so I thought. I mean, at least they have these items on their menu. It's all I really wanted as I'm a sucker for dim sum. But when I called to place my order, I felt duped. They "no longer served" the sticky rice in lotus leaf or the stuffed bean curd roll. The dim sum offerings were pretty meager to begin with, but my question is why keep it on the printed menu if you no longer offer it? So in the end I ordered the crystal shrimp dumplings and half a Peking duck. When I went to pick up my order, I walked inside and was taken aback at just how dingy the place was. It needs a serious remodeling, or at the very least a deep cleaning. The girl who rang me up was very nice and friendly though. The shrimp dumplings smelled a bit fishy, but they were actually very good. The shrimps were fresh and well seasoned. But the duck was another story. It was tough, gamey, and the skin had a strange red color. It tasted old. It came with scallions and pancakes and plum sauce but even all the accompaniments failed to make this duck palatable. So 2.5 stars really, rounded up to three because the shrimp dumplings were above average in my opinion. But I think it's safe to say I'm through patronizing this place.

Wow.by the reviews, I expected more. No carts, very limited dim sum, and after meal, observed one of the cooks using the stall in the men's room and did not wash his hands...wanted to vomit!!! Avoid!

What a shame...the pan fried dumplings use to be out of the world, closest to those I would get from New York. The other dishes were pretty bad, catering to their American clientele (you know...pork fried rice, egg rolls, wonton soup). I was extremely disappointed...honestly couldn't tell you if the dumplings were stuffed with pork or chicken, that's how bad they were. I see now from other reviews that they changed owners...I knew right away after one bite. Big mistake ... I won't be back! Drive further and go to Toa Toa!

Not going to even edit my notes: Egg roll. Distinct freezer burn taste in filling. Did not finish. Bathrooms tacky, wallpaper peeling, painted very sloppy. Decor is basically "shopping center leftovers". Who puts cup upside down on the bare table? (See pic) One of dirtiest surfaces in any restaurant. Fried rice. Blah. Nothing fresh about it. Leftover from yesterday? No garlic flavor in honey garlic chicken. Just honey. Broccoli cold. Chicken. Fair. No way this palm beach's best Chinese. Not close. I would wager that ALL sauces were from a can. I did notice that EVERYONE eating here was 70+. No disrespect.

Haven't been here in quite a few months and was disappointed to find that they have essentially removed all of my favorite dim sum items (spareribs with black bean sauce, rice paste, etc) from the menu due to "no time to cook everything anymore". There was only 1 server on duty during the lunch period which is supposed to be their busiest time on the weekend - not a good sign! Just like the other Yelper mentioned, they already had a small selection to begin with, but they have reduced it even further to just 3 or 4 items and the carts have been long gone apparently since there was an explosion there quite a while back. They couldn't even get the tea right - it tasted like soap!! So sad that this place has gone downhill so much as it was the closest place to our house that served dim sum, our favorite comfort food indulgence on many weekends after a week full of healthy eating! We'll be giving Real Wok a try instead on Hypoluxo and Military - looks like they still have the dim sum carts!!

Coming from someone that travels a lot, this was a breath of fresh air. Fresh ingredients are often challenging to find, and this place definitely uses them. Pick-up was very easy, ordering via phone was too. Would be nice if they added online ordering as an option. Would definitely recommend, and can't wait to go back for their General Tso Chicken and Singapore Rice Noodles.

China Dumpling is BY FAR the best Chinese, not only in Boynton Beach, but anywhere in the Boca/Delray/Boynton/Lake Worth area. The only other place that is just as good is Christine Lee's in Aventura. Some of my favorite things are the: dumplings, eggrolls, spare ribs, egg foo young, general tso's chicken, and pad thai. The only bad things about this place: 1. The service- it's hit or miss who you get, just like any other place. The worst waitress in there is the American girl lol But, the food does get out fast, regardless. 2. The Price- it is slightly too expensive for the area/restaurant atmosphere, but worth it since the food is not poison. 3. They don't deliver, which is AWFUL because it is SO GOOD. Trust me.. every other place in Boynton( Wing Wah, Orient Express (?) next to Quantum Publix) they're all garbage. Spend the extra $10 and get a good meal. ENJOY!

Sorry, but there is no great Chinese food in the United States outside New York City and California, and South Florida is no exception. Nevertheless, with the context of being in South Florida considered, this restaurant isn't half bad. Despite having to wait even though we had a reservation, the service was good. Our waitress was absolutely hilarious, a total jokester. Just totally naturally funny. Now, onto the food. The highlight of the dinner were the BBQ spare ribs, which were honestly pretty close to NYC standards. They were well sauced, and had that tangy saucy taste you hope for when you order such a dish. I ordered the chicken and broccoli which was pretty decent and standard, maybe a bit too much sauce. The pork fried rice was also as expected, decent. I am not a native of South Florida but I have been told by my parents and others that this is the best Chinese in the area, and I'd believe it. It definitely exceeded my expectations knowing how Chinese is in Ohio. Now, in New York this restaurant would have registered 2 or 3 stars, but seeing that it is outside the Chinese bubble this is where it's at in Palm Beach County!

As good as it gets for Florida! I fell in LOVE with the dumplings I had in Shanghai, and have been searching for some decent dumplings since I moved to FL over 7 years ago with no luck whatsoever. Most, if not every other Chinese place I have tried have been disgusting and uninspired. All the dumplings were filled with cabbage and just not right. Here they make the dumplings by hand, you can see through a window and watch them do it, just like in China! They were not overly filled with cabbage, and had authentic flavor. Their dumplings definitely did not disappoint! They were 90% similar to the ones I was hoping and dreaming for, which is good enough for me! Their other dishes were also delicious, the fried rice is great. The prices are a bit high, similar to Thai places around the area, but it is worth it to have some decent Chinese food!

Been going to The Dumpling for 20 years. It was the only real Chinese around. It is no longer even edible. The manager proudly told me he replaced his entire kitchen staff. They stopped making their own dumplings and egg rolls and now use pre made frozen items. Fried rice was greasy and virtually no pork to be found. Our waitress told us that all the old customers have stopped coming and business was way down. Waitresses that have been around forever have left because business is so slow. Tonight they only had 2 servers and 1 busser working. Time to start looking for a new Chinese restaurant.

One of the worst Chinese restaurants I have ever eaten at. The Hot n Sour soup was really blend and the Shrimp with Lobster sauce was salty at best without the veggies. Crystal Shrimp dumplings should have bamboo shoots in them but could not even find any traces of it anywhere. And it's over priced. Service however was decent but I will not eat here again.
