Service was good, but the menu is so limited. Why can't there be a decent side dish? The grilled grouper is good...so are the clams.

This place is great. At a marina... good view. Oysters are awesome... Same with conch fritters. Rest of seafood is good too. Chicken wings are unusually good too. Very casual... staff is always friendly. The Lazy has been consistently good for 10 straight years.

Everything here was great. I split the smoked pork tenderloin sandwich and a mesquite grilled grouper sandwich- and both were excellent. The highlight may have been the key lime pie- that gets 5 stars. Friendly service, good prices, and great food- if you're nearby, it's a great lunch spot.

The best thing here is the bucket of 2 dozen steamed oysters. They steam them with celery and onion, which is awesome. The rest of the seafood that I've tried is jiust OK. It is a cool location overlooking the marina. They have the rind game, which is a favorite game of ours in the islands.

Foremost, I was pleased. Went in for a lunch bite. Seated by a very good looking young lady that told me the fish OTD was Trigger. No problem - while not a usual fare I knew from my old spear fishing days that Trigger fish tastes great! So onward - I'll take a grilled Trigger sandwich & beer. It was really good! At my age a BIG sandwich like the one served here will fill me up for hours. My biggest peeve about sandwiches is how the bun is treated. This place served a very good fresh bun worthy of the Trigger fish laid upon it. Good job! Of course there were fries. They were also very good, not greasy. Had some subtle spice to them, but who needs ALL the fries... The service was great! I ate outside and even the flies kept it down for my visit. Lots of repartee inside - maybe I should have been in there? But I might not have been able to ogle the young ladies as they left the area. Uncle Dirty? A good place to eat! Have fun!

I've eaten at the Sanibel location a couple times and decided to try this one while on Pine Island. A nice setting overlooking the marina, and a pleasant, relaxed dining area inside. My husband is not a fish eater so he got a burger, which he said was very good. I tried the special of the day, which was Trigger fish. Very tasty mesquite (I believe it was baked or broiled). I got the platter and it came with cole slaw. Not sure if they make it themselves but it was really good. Most restaurants don't have the creamy style that I prefer. Both meals came with seasoned french fries that were very good but such a huge serving. I could have done with nearly half the amount. We didn't get any alcohol, just iced tea and pop, and I was surprised at how expensive the meal was. :-(

We have a house here and visit the local restaurants frequently. Went for dinner here on Saturday 8-5-15. Although we have dined here before we will not return. Sat at the bar with my husband. The waitress was rude. All the staff were discussing very personal problems in front of guests. The food was greasy. We ordered the fried shrimp and received 6 overcooked previously frozen shrimp that were inedible. For 14.99 to get 6 shrimp was unbelievable. They were inedible my husband ordered chicken wings. Hard to mess those up but they did. Overcooked and also inedible. The waitresses were getting ready for the next day's patrons and I observed they were spooning cocktail sauce in to cups with out gloves on. The whole staff acted like they could care less that we were there. To top it off the staff started eating their meals at the bar in front of us. We were charged 60 dollars after drinking a few warm beers. Felt intimidated to tip because the girl taking care of us was very pregnant. Although we do live in Bokeelia we will not return. Do yourself a favor and save your money.

Fried shrimp was terrible, not sure how you screw that up? batter was not good. Blackened grouper sandwich was delicious. Overall not the best experience.

The food was not great. But what really bugged me that they only give you plastic silverware. With the prices they charge they can afford a dishwaher

As locals on Pine Island, we visit all the eateries and Lazy Flamingo is no exception! You will see lots of fishing groups here as you overlook the boat basin at the marina. There is a spot for smokers outside and lots of ole' fish house decor. Quite lovely to sit here and we generally find a good kitchen. Yesterday we had the pork sandwich and crab cakes w fries. We aren't fans of coated fries as the additives take from the natural flavor of a great French fry! The crab cakes were fried hard outside and soft inside and not in a good way. We like some things and not others. What a neat place to sit and watch the boats bring their catch.....birdwatchers can also be delighted. Recommend in no order the Hamburg, fresh fish, shrimp. Beer and wine offered. Hungry folks eat here, kids get treats, there is a ring on a string to swing toward a hook and some quarter machines with stuff for your kinder.parking is great, it has appeal, worth a visit but be prepared to eat simply with fried, breaded, French fries, coleslaw, buns and a few raw oysters shucked if you wish. Service tends to be friendly but not overly helpful. You might be barked at without a hello "whatareyouhaving? No smile, careworn expression or smiling and a bright hello. Never know. Destination restaurant, fishermen parties, condo vacationers, locals and a few kids and teens. Decor is extremely fish shack mariner with a little crackerbarrel kitsch. Some hardy souls have eaten and enjoyed their time here, you will, too.

I love this place. The blackened Mahi sandwich is my favorite. I enjoyed it every Thursday for almost four years. I've tried many others up an down the coast and none have come even close to comparable. I also would never have tried hogfish if the manager hadn't recommended it. All four locations are great, this one is my favorite.

Broiled grouper sandwich was great. Served in an overly small basket with fires on the bottom. Extremely awkward to handle. My lunch partner had the fried pork which was horrid. We shared the fish. All and all a mixed experience.

Poor service, waitresses were miserable. Seemed like they were fighting amongst themselves. (Don't take this out on your customers, please!) Did not ask if we needed drink refills, or dessert. Just as well... No need to spend more time in a hostile environment. Sayonara... will not return.

We love it here. Simple as that. We come over from Boca by boat a lot to eat here. It's a great cozy atmosphere, you don't feel like you are sitting in a tourist trap which is great. One of the best places around for consistently amazing food on the water. Keep in mind it gets very busy which is great for business, you can't walk into a place in season at noon and get mad because it's packed or loud. It is also beer and wine! Everything on the menu is great, my personal favorite are their oysters on the half shell and also the steamed little neck clams. They have a great Caesar salad, fried scallop basket and burger. Very polite staff, they work very hard. Be sure to look for any specials they have as well. Order the fish spread!

Greasy fried food. Pleasant place with an island feel however my wife and I ordered fried clam basket. The clams were rubbery and greasy. Tasted like frozen clams with frozen fries placed in oil that was not up to temperature. I do not understand the good reviews for this overpriced. There are better places to eat on the island!

Really Loud!! Its primarily a bar and the food was ok. I had a grilled grouper sandwich which looked like the inexperienced grill guy never grilled a piece of fish. The grouper or what was left or it....was stacked in little pieces on my stale roll. Other than that the fries and diet soda were great. I ate at their other location about a year ago......it was a little better. The view is also just ok....it sits on a small marina....prob wouldn't go back

Nice option if you are on the north side of Pine Island for lunch. Great Florida atmosphere with views of the marina. The fried foods are all tasty, especially the oysters. Nothing is spectacular, but also no disappointments. Always had good service.

Nice, clean, laid back. Food was good. Catch of the day on menu. We were there on a cold evening but could tell it would be nice on a sunny afternoon or warm evening when the sliding doors were opened to the water.

One of the only restaurants on the Northern end of Pine island, on the waterfront at the Four Winds Marina. It is related to The Lazy Flamingos on Sanibel. Inside is a nice ambiance, decent bar (you have to love the huge pit in the middle of the bar filled with ice and chilling beers). There is outdoor seating. The two of us had conch fritters, fried clams, and Clams Marinara. The conch fritters were good, a little overdone, but tasty. There wasn't a special dipping sauce for them, just marinara sauce. The clams marinara (without the pasta) was good. The best part was the garlic bread, which The Flamingo is known for. It came with 8 little neck clams. The fried clams were the winner of this meal - large and succulent. Top off with 2 drafts and 2 bottles of beer. Beer is more expensive by $1 for each a draft and a bottle than the rest of the island. Total for the bill came to $48 with tax but not including gratuity. The downer is that all dishes are served in baskets or on melamine plates - which I don't mind. It's a Florida thing. What I didn't like was that they served all of the dinners with plastic forks and knives. If I'm paying $14 for a meal and have to dig into clams, I want a real fork. I think the plastic ware cheapened the experience. If you time it right, the "ferry" to go to Upper Captiva leaves from this marina and it can be a real people-watching opportunity on a Friday or Saturday. Plenty of parking. Kids are welcome at dinner. Lots of flamingos hanging around on the walls. If you are coming by water, turn in at Channel Marker #8 off the ICW. There is a sign on the marker to lead you to the Lazy Flamingo.

My family has been eating here for years. Awesome fresh seafood, cold beer, great water view, and friendly service. Great value !

The best seafood we have ever had in our lives. Always order your meal grilled not fried and you'll be in there.
