I've been living in Florida for almost 8 years and FINALLY I have found a place that makes wonderful Chinese food. We ordered delivery, and not only did the guy get here at least 15 minutes before they said they would, all the food was super hot. Price point was perfect too. My bf and I both got the sweet & sour chicken, which were perfect sized morsels, I don't like when there is too much batter - but these were spot on, and not over greasy and not soggy at all. The pork fried rice was great, hot and and the rice wasn't overcooked and nothing was dehydrated in it, very fresh tasting. The hot and sour soup had great chunks of mushrooms and tofu in it, great taste, super hot. My bf said his wonton soup was great as well. Spring roll and egg roll were spot on, I usually don't finish them but these were great. They even gave us tea bags! I've never seen that in takeout Chinese. The fortune cookies were a little stale, but I know they don't make them so not a huge deal. We had no leftovers. NONE. That never happens, and it wasn't because the servings were small, it was just that good. We have now found our go-to local Chinese place. I can't wait to try the rest of their menu, which has Thai and Vietnamese choices as well!

Been a customer since 1998. Food has always been cooked properly and the taste is second to none I am dissatisfied with the portions I received and the prices are very high

Nasty... I just had the worst ever hot and sour soup. Im sick and its all i wanted . I got this thick, nasty brown glob in a bowl, sans mushrooms, pork or any of the other usual ingredients. The state of the kitchen should have been the warning sign - but I had already ordered and paid. NEVER again - I wouldnt like to sample the rest of the menu. Totally agree with the other reviewer - I'd certainly question any good reviews

Just when we thought Chinese food could not get worse in W Boca, we tried Hunan City. Let's start off it took an hour for take out when they told us 30 minutes so we waited in this dump for an extra 30 listening to the phone ring with what seemed like a never ending list of phone complaints. Conveniently the lady answering the phone did not speak English when people complained but spoke the Kings tongue when we placed the order. The General Tso combo was over cooked over sauced and under sized. The beef with vegetables was nothing short of inedible. Overall food terrible. Overall service awful. Portion size seemed like the right amount but when it's this bad who cares. 2 Thumbs down. I would question any positive reviews based on my experience.

I totally agree with all of the previous reviewer's more positive reviews. I loove this place because of the freshness of their ingredients, lack of greasiness, and high level of consistency. The shrimp fried rice, lo mein, egg foo young and general tsao's chicken are amongst our favorites. And in addition to the great food the staff is exceptionally friendly.

My husband and I have been ordering from Hunan City for 2yrs, that's when we moved to Boca and it's right around the corner. When we first started looking for great local take-out asian/chinese this place was the best. Really fresh ingredients, no heavy oil or greasy food. Decently priced for the area and huge portions. It stayed that way up until the last 6-8 months. The food is still good but not as fresh as before, and the portions are a lot smaller. If you order a combo meal they skimp on the fried rice by #1 only give you one small scoop of it and #2 it looks old and plain like it was just white rice tossed in soy sauce. There used to be at the very least some veggies and also pork. The price's are higher than a year ago and the quality is lower. Still not the worst place around but it looks like were going back to Asian Grill. Also very good in the area.

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.
Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.
There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
