Big City is my favorite pizza place in Boca. Boca is flooded with 'coal fired pizza' that half the time ends up burnt or is so damn expensive that it's really not quite the 'pick up a pizza on the way home' thing you look for in a good, standby pizza place. Nothing against these places, but I can't feel OK buying a 35 dollar pizza when I've accidentally messed up dinner. This is now where I go. First, their pizza is surprisingly really great. Well cooked, good crust, yummy toppings. My favorite is the white pizza, but I also really enjoy just a red sauce pizza with black olives. Their red sauce is sweet - which reminds me of a pizza place I loved back where I grew up - so it might be a personal preference, but my husband and I both love it. It's well seasoned, a bit sweet, and not watery. It goes perfectly on the pizza. Whenever we go our pizzas are being pulled out of the oven as we get there (I live very close by) and I can come pick up a pizza for lunch and be gone from working for only 10 minutes, maybe. It's great. Meatball subs are delicious - really good, big meatballs,a little bit of sauce, and the perfect amount of cheese. Great price too. I would suggest take out - I've never eaten in - because it's a small restaurant. It's not somewhere I would come for the ambiance. It's a perfect place for pick up or delivery.

The pizza that they give you with the "special" has been sitting for days!! The color of the cheese is already orange from how long it's been sitting... I ordered a cheese pizza that looked like it had reheated several times before, and apparently they had placed a peperoni slice on it and then had taken it off during a previous reheating. A slice that someone would throw away, they sell it as a "special". The people that prepare the food are also handling the register, so the food is not only old and nasty, it's picking up germs from everything they touch...!

This place has daily lunch specials, and is quick and convenient. They have a carryout special on Sundays and Mondays where you can get a large cheese pizza for $7.50, and each additional topping is $1. Great deal, but mediocre pizza. I tried their sausage and meatball pizza one evening when I was looking for something fast and close by. The pizza was lackluster, but it was cheap and filled everyone adequately. If I order here again, I would definitely opt for some veggies and extra cheese.

GOD AWFUL PIZZA !! I never thought I would see the day where I would walk into a pizza place and have someone fuck up on a CHEESE PIZZA, the sauce was AWEFUL, it tasted like bathroom products, I don't know what's sadder, the cheese pizza? or the cook that thought he was doing it big?

The pizza isn't bad. My slices weren't dry like many of the reviews have stated. It was middle of the road NY-style pizza. Not great, not horrible either. You got a dead ringer of High Pitch Eric making the pies and a Billy Bob Thornton look-a-like manning the register. Incidentally, he acts like Billy Bob from Sling Blade too. Their known for their lunch specials, $5 for 2 slices and a drink. I went there, stood in line to place my order after waiting several minutes for them to stop talking about UFC fights I finally paid. 5 minutes goes by and I noticed there weren't any slices put in the oven. I stand up and he goes, "what did you have again?" I remind him, then right after I see him attempt to subtly sneak a few slices in as if I wouldn't notice. I told him, save it, I'm too hungry and pressed for time, just give it to me now. So I had two cold slices. Moral of the story is, service goes a very long way. The service here sucks and the pizza isn't good enough to deal with it. This isn't Lombardi's, L&Bs or Difara's. This is Big City Pizza located in an East Boca, which means its more than likely the 27th best pizza in a 5 mile radius.

My favorite pizza spot! After a couple hours of studying we finally had to escape our misery and go get a bite to eat. This is located near FAU on Yamato Rd. It is a small place but I love it because it has such a cozy feeling to it. The pizzas are made on the spot. We decided to order a medium pizza half pepperoni and half cheese. We didn't think two girls could possibly finish this entire pizza. It was like an episode of "Man vs Food" we will call ours "Two girls vs Food" lol. Between the both of us we managed to finished it all! It was that delicious. Service is great. Everyone working here are so welcoming. They have TVs with the sports channel on. The restaurant is very clean. Prices are reasonable.

Hi, I from Miami..... but now and then I get out of the city and see what is out there...... and we found this little places and we gave a test! We order a xlarge pizza with extra cheeses and extra Italian sausage and on the side we order 1/2 dozen garlic bread at first...... But when I try it WOO OW...... Delicious.... buttered in olive oil and a lot of chuck of garlic and they bake it as u order it was exquisite! That we decided to order more..... Now the pizza was great too.... The sausage did the magic like always with the cheeses.... But if i had know that pizza it will be that good i had not eaten much garlic bread.....

I was planning on going into Panera Bread (their food is expensive but good), then saw Big City Pizza next door. Decided to try it. This is the location in NE off Yamato Road. Ordered the garlic knots, which came out undercooked and dripping in butter. I threw those away , then my chicken parm panini came. This was not the pressed sandwich I was hoping for, but served on a doughy thick bread, Chicken was tasteless (lets add some spices, guys!). I threw most of it away. A real disappointment. Also, when I entered, there was an elderly man sitting out in front, smoking a cigar and spitting out large gobs every two seconds, Disgusting.... He came inside a few minutes later, and turned out to be the owner......he can do what he wants, but the food and the owner were both disgusting....... Go to Panera Bread right next door....now thats a panini!

Nothing fancy, just a great little pizza joint! Love that you can just order a few slices at the counter, not enough places around here allow you to do this. High quality and delicious pizza with just the right amount of cheese to sauce ratio. The crust absolutely melts in your mouth, and the true test, the cheese does not slide off the slice when you pick it up. I have not tried the Sicilian slice yet, but intend to. Also $5.00 for two slices and a canned soda can't be beat.

Some of the best pizza and catering in Boca Raton, not to mention the employees that treat you like family! Keep up the great work guys!

I couldn't disagree more with the previous review. I have always felt that there is no such thing as "bad pizza" but I have to say that Big City Pizza is as close to bad as there is. If not for the larger slices served, I would give it a solid 1 star. The pizza is bland and dry and the lunch service is a joke. I occasionally go in there because it's a good deal (two large slides and a soda for $5) and despite the fact that there is usually not a line, I wait for no apparent reason to be served. Typically the employees (I think they may be family but am not sure) are all bickering at each other which is funny at first, but quickly grows tiring and uncomfortable. I can honestly say that I've never been thanked which if I still lived in NYC would be acceptable, but this is Boca Raton folks. Learn some manners. If there was a decent pizza joint in the area, I would never return.

This is one of the better pizza places I have found in Florida. The service is quick and the pies are good, bordering on great. Nice thinner (not thin) crust and tasty sauce that has more flavoring and spicing to it than most pizza places. If you are looking for a good pizza you really cannot go wrong with Big City.

The best food in boca hands down. Great customer service and your order is filled immediately. The carnivore pie is a must get!! The big guy in the front that makes the pizza's is truly a master of his craft. Not to mention the place is always very clean.

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.
