This is not New York style Chinese food. This is what I would call good "drunk" food. The egg drop wonton mixed soup is gelatinous and slimy. The entrees are heavily sauced and over priced for the quality of the food. Though they do use fresh and crisp vegetables, which is a plus. They also give you "free" steamed rice with your entrees, which seems to be stopping at other restaurants. The food is very greasy. Over all, not impressed and I most likely will not be coming back.

It's our choice for NY style Chinese takeout...The food is consistently good and service is FAST. From the time you call to the time you pick up - 15 minutes, tops. I am not sure why a couple of the reviews are so poor, my family comes from NYC and in the 10+ years we have been taking out from Bamboo Wok we have never had a bad meal... And the people on the phone are always nice and helpful. Overall - it's exactly what you would want from a fast food Chinese takeout...

South Florida has NO really good fast-food Chinese Food. And I'm sticking to it unless otherwise proven wrong! Anyway, this place was lightning quick in taking and making 10 orders that came out to be about $80. Nice people on the phone and in person. That's where the good part ends! The only thing that was okay to was the Veggie Lo-Mein. The fried rice was dry and bland. The BBQ Ribs were way too sweet and way too red (translation: tons of red liquid dye). Steam Pork Dumplings were thick, huge pieces of dough with semi-eatable meat inside. Chicken Chow Fun stuck together, lacking soy sauce and flavor. Sauteed Broccoli and Chicken with Broccoli were a bit too salty but was really well cooked and right thickness with Brown Sauce. That dish was the one that was good to eat after I mixed it with the White Rice. At least I started with really low expectations before I ate their food, lol.

Want NY style Chinese takeout in South Florida? Then, this is the place. These folks originally started out on Long Island, NY, and have brought down the style of cooking popular in New York to Florida. It is my favorite go to place for Chinese take out and I have been going here since they opened in 2001. Sure, I love the authentic Non-Western influenced Chinese food (growing up in a Taiwanese household, how could I not?), however there are times when all I want is my General Tso's Chicken, Chicken with Broccoli, or Hot & Sour Soup etc. All of your standard favorites are here and almost everything is cooked perfectly. The only criticism I have are with the egg rolls, which are hit or miss. Very odd considering it is probably one of the easiest things to prepare and cook. However, everything else is spot on. Other locations are in Coconut Creek and Boynton Beach. I am not sure if they deliver, as I always pick up on my way to or from somewhere. At one point they were delivering and then they weren't, so your best bet is to call.

One of the best Chinese food places around.

Coming from Long Island, NY, this place rings true to what I came to love about Chinese take out. When we first moved to South FL, there were plenty of places to have Chinese food, but they were all just OK and the take out left a lot to be desired. Then Bamboo Wok opened and I have not gone anywhere else for take out since! Food quality is reliably good. They have great spareribs made NY Chinese food style. Won Tons are firm and not over cooked. Portions are incredible and we always manage to get two dinners out of each combination dinner that we order. So, great Chinese food twice for the price of one dinner:) Call ahead and the food will be ready. Make sure you get the fresh mustard and duck sauce!

Boca Bamboo Wok is NOT good. The only reason I went here was cause the one in Boynton was AMAZING. BOCA BAMBOO WOK IS CRAP. Overcooked chicken, overfried - and I won't be going back. I guess I'll have to drive all the way to Boynton. You are owned by the same people (supposedly) the food should be the same!

Giving up on the Coconut Creek location long ago I was very hesitant to try the Bamboo Wok in Boca. I am so happy my boyfriend took it upon himself to show me just how good their food is. I can sum it up in one word...YUMMY. Like most other things, I am very picky about Chinese food. I am a Long Island transplant. I know the difference between good & bad Chinese food. I just about gave up on even trying to find it. Bamboo Wok is Long Island style Chinese food. We all know so many places claim to prepare "NY Style" BUT they seldom get it right. This is the real deal. I have tried several items from their menu on two different occasions. First, they are consistent. Second, the food is awesome. And third, the food is incredible. This is only a takeout place so be ready to take home your food, get comfortable & enjoy a great meal! The portions are huge! The dinner combo plate is enough to share. They actually listen to you if you have a special request or need to modify a dish. The ingredients are fresh. I found their prices to be decent. Parking didn't seem to be a problem. So once again my boyfriend proved me wrong. Now when I hear someone complaining that they can not find "good Chinese food" in Florida, I can proudly say "YES YOU CAN".

They are fast but the food is completely average. I ordered broccoli chicken with fried rice. It was ok but definitely not like NYC!

I have been going here for years-as it is close to my home. They may claim "NY-Style", but as a former NYer- I know QUALITY Chinese food. This is NOT! I've finally given up on this place. The only thing that is edible here is the Wonton soup. Everything else is greasy and disgusting! I recently had the bbq Spare Ribs. For the SECOND time I've ordered them, they were Totally fatty! And the Fried Rice- that's usually one of my favorite items at a Chinese Restaurant. Normally you would find scrambled Eggs in it. Not only no scrambled eggs in the rice, but it is Loaded with Onions. Just Disgusting! And the other entrees are always Greasy. You will be sick to your stomach if you know and appreciate Good Chinese food, and make the mistake of trying this. It's a shame because the owners are really nice- I've just given up on the food.... It's too bad!

As everyone knows, truly delicious Chinese food is hard to come by in Boca Raton and they all leave a lot to be desired. Bamboo Wok is the best I have found so far in my search for decent Chinese grub. It doesn't hurt that it's only 2 minutes from home, either!

Waited forever to pick up our food. The place was very understaffed. Food was mediocre at best, but you do get a lot for your money.

Order out/pick up only: but man us it good to have a reliable Chinese food joint. Chili sauce, excellent. Brown sauce, excellent. Garlic sauce, excellent. Veggie egg roll was not a glorified spring roll but an actual egg roll, and was excellent. This is THE Go-To!

Called to order the guy was very rude and kept correcting me. They over charged me by $10.00 and the food was very bland..

Everytime I come to this place, I only expect one thing and that is to find the best chinese take-out food. Not only I feel welcome by the lovely lady in the cashier but I always get a free can of soda for my purchase. You will not regret getting their fabulous House fried rice, or their delicious Huan chicken.

Just moved from New York and they have better Chinese food then some of the places up there. I recommend the boneless spare ribs combination. A lot of food for the money.

I wouldn't touch this place with a ten-foot chopstick. After doing take-out from Bamboo Wok, I got the worst case of food poising I've ever had, I won't go further than that, but needless to say it wasn't pretty. And the worst part about it was that even the food that I had from there wasn't good at all. The fried rice tasted completely bland and devoid of any flavor. Rice is an easy dish to overlook, but if done right can make or break the entire experience, and sadly in this case it is just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the lack of quality here. I think if I went to the frozen food section at a supermarket and got the General Tso Chicken that was the cheapest, it would have tasted fresher than the chicken I had here. It was beyond processed and just had a blandness to it that made me regret even trying it. The beef lo mein, same story as the above, the beef tasted processed and the lo mein just was stiff and devoid of any flavor. The only thing here I had which I somewhat found edible was the vegetable egg roll with a bit of duck sauce on it, having said that, this may have been part of the cause of the food poising, but I can't be sure. Major fail on every single level for the food. Pricing was pretty standard as it is at most Chinese restaurants, however the deals/coupons that they offered with basically a slap in the face. They go something like this: spend $25 and get a free can of soda, $35 will get you two cans of soda, and $45 will get you a free fried rice. Other places in the area offer deals that are much better such as full meals as such, so basically these coupons are nothing but cheap gimmicks. The location is in a tiny strip mall, that unless you are going their specifically to pick up food from here, there isn't much any other reason why you would venture to this location. Forget about my food poisoning, the food here is sub-par at best, no specials to attract someone, and the location is 'meh' considering the other options within close driving distance. Maybe I had just one bad experience, but even still there is absolutely nothing about Bamboo Wok that makes me want to come back, and I never will. Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
