This place is a nice "local" sushi spot... We come here often during the month! There is good service and the fish is fresh... We have not had complaints ever on having doubtfull fish... Their food is quite good and expectable, so no surprises. The place could use a remodel. It is dated and some areas are horrible! Other than that, enjoy....

The reason why I went to this restaurant in the first place was we were too hungry to drive to South Beach and randomly picked a Japanese restaurant -as I wanted Japanese- closer to where I lived. Spoke on the phone with the hostess, she said they were a great restaurant mentioned several times in various magazines. That was enough for my date to be convinced so off we went. Sat outside. Great menu. Had high hopes. Ordered lobster roll, and mango shrimp tempura roll, miso soup and cold plum sake. My date had a chicken teriyaki with fried rice, also miso soup and wine. Miso soup was below average and luke warm. Lobster in the lobster roll was ruined with so much batter, deep fried, probably a million and one calories, extremely greasy but no flavor. Rice was mushy, overcooked. The mango shrimp tempura roll was worse, so bad that I couldn't even eat it. They try to add flavor with sugar in everything. Plum sake was a mistake. Way too sweet. Servers were very nice but they did nothing to guide us or explain what was what and how. Experience not to be repeated again.

First time take out. Sushi boat for two and extra eel sushi. Two miso soups. The sushi and sashimi selection while basic, was very fresh and enjoyable. Presentation was nice enough. The rolls were basic, too, one with salmon and the other one with crabmeat. We did not enjoy the rolls. Not sure why the salmon roll didn't hit the mark - there was nothing that was wrong with it as far as I could tell - but still, and the crabmeat roll was made with the cheap crab substitute. Nobody ate the craPmeat roll. The rolls that come with the boat at Sushi House for example, are much tastier (although the fish was probably fresher at Fuji Hana today). Still, convenient location, around the corner, and because I can't always muster the energy to drive to Sushi House, I'll probably keep patronizing Fuji Hana every once in a while. Had I ordered Sushi/Sashimi only, I'd have given them four stars.

Lunch specials are great The pad Thai isn't authentic and a bit sweeter than those made with more tamarind (which gives it the tart flavor) but still tastes pretty good. I have yet to try the sushi but I'm not a fan of the sweet and sour chicken I tried. As others have said, the prices are a bit higher than average if you veer off the lunch specials. The outdoor seating option is nice.

If I could put zero stars I would but that wasn't an option. A place that serves raw fish should be clean. This place is filthy from the tables to the bathroom. The food is as nasty as the service. I will never go back. Highly recommend to not ever dine here.

The service here is horrible ... I came with my gf and we had to sit ourselves done. Bout waitress came once and asked for our order but we were not ready . It's been about 20 minutes and no one has come to take our order. Im frustrated and hungry now . I will not be coming back. I WILL MAKE SURE I TELL EVERYONE I KNOW THAT MY EXPIERENCE WAS HORRIBLE .....

Great food, service and variety of Thai, Japanese dishes. The pad Thai is great. I always feel very welcome there. The last time we had a great server I wish I remember her name, but I guess all are good.

My grandparents take us here every year when we come visit and the food is always amazing. The highlight of our meal was the Massaman Curry which comes with avocado and tons of cashews on it. All the food was great, the portions generous and the service good.

I would give this place negative stars. My standards may be higher as I personally have worked and helped bring restaurants to meet Forbes 5 Stars standards. The experience: no arrival experience at all. Nobody greeted me, nor sat me. I sat myself at the bar. The two people engaged in conversation behind the bar, they didn't greet me ever. I waited 7 minutes exactly- no menu, no hello, nothing. It smelled of smoke, and absolutely nothing but low class, no service. Also, there were more people working then customers. No excuse for poor service. Please, don't bother to come here for any kind of great service or experience. I walked out as I don't have time to give or spend hard earned money to spend in this place. My first and most likely last experience.

Fuji Hana is steps away from our front door and we are always pleased with the food, quality, and service. The staff is very friendly and the dishes are great. I am a huge fan of the curry and always try a different sushi roll each time. Great local spot!

I came here with my boyfriend because we were hungry. No one approached us? Not even the old lady who was a hostess, not one server. We had to get up and tell them that we need service and this isn't the first time... One lady came by to give us menus but out of common courtesy you should at least give us water or take our order no matter if the station is yours, but instead told us that our server will be with us shortly. I am very unhappy, and for lack of a better word extremely pissed off right now. I've been waiting for 20minutes now for service. I'm not ever coming back. I don't understand why something so simple is so hard to do. Other people have walked in and gotten service. I asked for the owner and they ignored me! Who does that?! I wouldn't be exaggerating if all of this wasn't true. I was told that the owners name was Eddie and I hope that he sees this and sees what a horrible restaurant and staff he has and should be ashamed to even have this place still around. What a joke.

Horrible service, usually very long wait for average food, and on top of that got charged 18% tip for a party of 6 which included 3 children which they counted as adults. I normally leave a very generous tip but for a waitress who was very rude, messed up our order and at the end literally cursed us out did not deserve a penny extra. Would only recommend this place to my worst enemy. STAY AWAY!!!

Fuji Hana is one of the few Thai places in Miami that I've liked. I usually order the red curry or Penang curry Thai hot (only get this if You really can handle spice). The sushi can be hit or miss so that's why I am only giving it 3 stars.

Came here with the wifey and kids for the first time in a long time. We usually go to Kampai, which is one of their sister restaurants. We sat right away, ordered right away, and the food came, very quickly. Waitress was a little distracted, but nothing to make us upset about. My staple for judging how good a sushi restaurant is 2 things, how good the seaweed is for handrolls, and how good the salmon skin is. For cooked food, I base on curry (usually panaang or red). So, in terms of seaweed and salmon skin, and you guessed it, salmon skin hand rolls, this place does not disappoint, and is very good quality like Kampai. No issues with anything on our order. Overall a very nice experience, not crowded at all. It will be hard to choose between the 2 restaurants, so it will depend on day/time. Kampai is usually good on Friday, because there is less crowds, and both restaurants sometimes offer coupons on restaurant.com for weekdays only.

Tucked behind the former loehman's plaza, this is more than Japanese. This restaurant offers very good Thai and sushi dishes at reasonable prices. Food was fresh, service personable and efficient. Try the flying shrimp salad and red curry duck. Outside tables available. Free parking.

It took until the entree to get this rating up to a 3. Location is hard to find, parking is a nightmare and the server was MIA most of our meal and completely unwilling to make recommendations or make concessions after giving me the lunch menu and then realizing it was 10 minutes after their scheduled "lunch time". I actually had to find something else to eat. I had an empty water glass for most of the meal. The sushi is very fresh and I really enjoyed the mango shrimp tempura roll.

HIdden location by the mall but good food and good service (yet slow-ish). We shared a few appetizers and salads, then shared chicken pad thai and some rolls. The food is very fresh and the portions are good. They have lots of choices from japanese dishes, to sushi/sashimi, to rolls to thai dishes. Prices are good too! It's a great option to leave the crowd from the mall while staying in the neighborhood!

Sometimes my cravings for sushi are pretty hard to ignore, and despite being an Aventurian for 2 years, I just now managed to try this restaurant out. I did a quick check on my trusty Yelp app and figured I'd give it a whirl. It's true this restaurant is hidden since it's tucked near the Loehman's Plaza, but once I turned the corner to make my way inside I was pleasantly surprised with the interior decor of the restaurant. It was definitely one of those "how have I not been here yet?" moments. Within seconds of walking inside we were seated, and despite it being a weeknight, it was surprisingly busy. Service started out a bit slow and I attributed it to the birthday party of about 10+ people, but it wasn't anything unreasonable. Our waitress was nice, but she seemed a bit stressed. Yes, the prices for some of the dishes may be a little more than the average Japanese/sushi restaurant, but this is Aventura afterall. I was feeling particularly hungry and read from one reviewer that the portions were small, so I ordered a salad (ginger dressing is delicious!) and 2 rolls (J.B. and the Spicy Crunchy Tuna). Both were very good, although my boyfriend quickly pointed out that the "construction" of one of the rolls was kinda shoddy. He was right, but it still tasted good regardless. I'm not sure what small portions one Yelper had here because the rolls were really big, causing me to take home leftovers because I couldn't finish all of my meal. Overall, I was quite pleased with Fuji Hana's quality, so I grabbed a take-out menu because I have a feeling I'll be ordering delivery from them in the very near future. 3.5 stars

The waiters at fuji hana are rude and make u pay extra. If you go with a group of people they make each person pay 10$ just for being there even if they don't want to eat. They are especially rude to teenagers, even thought they pay full price just like regular older customers.

I have been eating here for 10 years. The deep fried bakery roll is the best I have ever had. It is one of the very few foods I cant live without!!! Best ginger dressing EVER. Love the curry. Staff is friendly, my delivery order has never been incorrect. I wanted to order the jb roll now, but they're closed!

Their food is great. From the several dishes I've tried. But their employees, people skills, customer attention, and service. Are HORRIBLE. Lack of attention. As my father said it, "this is the McDonald's of sushi." Everything was overly sweet. There was hardly any vinegar in the rice. Everything was mushy even the rock shrimp and tempura crab. We ordered yellowtail usuzikuri and it was all sugar. So awful. "This is what they serve in a retirement community." Such a shame. Also, the manager was terrible. She literally did not care when we told her about the low quality of her food. She said, "It's how it always is." Felt bad for the servers because they were sweet, but what do expect from poor management.

I don't get why people are giving this Heavenly place ridiculously low ratings. I love Fuji Hana They're Awesome! I always get their BEEF Pad Woon Sen. I'm picky on how I want it so I always get it with extra mushrooms, no baby carrots, fried egg on top. They know me well enough to put the egg on top without charge. Because I'm special like that. Their best selling roll is the Spicy Crunchy Tuna with cilantro sauce. They sell that thing like hot cakes. Hurricane Roll is my personal favorite. That roll is no joke. Inside has Tuna, Salmon, and Avocado, Top with Kani and Escolar Tempura. I get it without Kani (imitation crab) because I'm allergic to that stuff, so instead the Chef would substitute it with Escolar Tempura. Friendly staffs (mostly Thai) Interesting concept of a sushi bar station; front section of a sailboat. Thai-Japanese fusion kind of feeling. Great tasty food. Try their dessert sticky rice with mango. My goodness, it's like an orgasm in your taste buds. Ask for Nui or Nikki, as your waitress, she's nice. Also ask for Sandra, the Indonesian waitress. She's hilarious!

I love this place, but had to give them a 4 star because of there speed, it takes a wile to get your food. If they can correct this issue it would be very good for lunch.

Went for lunch and was disappointed. The lunch specials were very limited with a couple of sushi combination platters for 11 dollars and some curry dishes for around the same price. What was included in the $11 lunch special; a yummy house salad with delicious ginger/orange zest dressing/ or miso soup; 6 pieces of fishy, not fresh tuna roll and 6 pieces of chef choice nigiri sushi. Out of the 6 pieces of nigiri sushi there was shrimp, kani (imitation crab meat), tuna, salmon, escolar, and some other white fish. Only the escolar and salmon were worth eating. Everything else was not fresh, and just didnt taste good. Had i known this, i would've just ordered ala carte sushi and paid the extra money. Summary: 4 star house salad 2 star freshness 3 star service 2 star location

I was looking for a good place for Thai food while I was traveling in Miami. A friend of mine recommended Fuji Hana which serves both Thai and Sushi. It was a bit difficult to find and I had to call the restaurant for direction. Once I was there, the place was packed. I ordered Pad Thai and Tuna Mushi. Both of them were delicious, especially Tuna Mushi, which to me, was the best roll I had had for a long time. I felt it melted in my mouth with all the tastes well balanced. I will definitely go back to Fuji Hana again when I am in Miami!

First, let's start with the music. Blaringly loud instrumental versions of Air Supply, Taylor Dayne, Hall & Oates... and of course, Whitney Houston. I can't imagine working at this place and not having to be heavily sedated. The food was about as bland as Publix sushi, only twice the price. The $21 lobster roll was made with pre-frozen lobster, and the tuna sashimi had a very unpleasant "matte" finish. Unfortunately this place is really close to home. I had the highest of expectations that it would become my new favorite. I was extremely disappointed. And the place was filthy.

Place can be hard to find but after you find it, it is a great one. The portions are large and you can tell fish is fresh. When ordering take out make sure you have an updated menu so you're not disappointed.

3.75 stars Been here a few times now and the food is pretty good. Some things were average but overall the sushi & thai are pretty good. They serve a variety of sushi rolls, japanese stir fry dishes, thai curries, thai noodles, etc. I heard its the same owners as Kampai in Aventura Waterways & the menus are almost identical...but I would still choose Kampai hands down over Fuji. The service is not bad, but we did have a bug on our table so we said "OMG whats that on the table" & our serve said "Oh no...I don't know what that is." Then left...as if we were asking to tell us what we were looking at instead of cleaning it up...she left the bug on our table! Ha! But it was like a moth so it wasn't too big of an issue. Outside seating is a plus especially if you have your dog!

Food was really good- ordered pad thai, thai soup, and rolls. Service was very attentive and prices are reasonable. Used the South florida dines coupon, making it even better. Pad thai was awesome!

I have been ordering take out from this restaurant for many years now and I have always been satisfied with their food. Their sushi is great and I love their house specialties.
