Not a common location for a business to make a killing but they do have the schools nearby. They also cater to sport games of the same schools, but I guessing if it weren't for the schools they would go out of business. The location is on the main strip of Rock Springs Road but it is a invisible store. Parking is in the rear. For all this they make up with a good product. It was empty when we visited but the service was friendly and the options of flavors were more than acceptable. Cost was average. Worth visiting if you are in the area.

Ice cream was soupy as hell. But even worse the people that work there have no personality. At least act like you enjoy the job your getting paid for. When I saw the tip jar I was thinking that they should have tipped me for having to deal with theirs attitudes.

I went in for a Gelati today and sampled Watermelon, Starburst Orange, Blueberry and Peach. I absolutely loved the Starburst Orange! I used a vanilla custard topping; it tasted like a creamsicle! Delicious! Decent pricing as well; about $3-$4 for a large... And I mean LARGE. Great spot to stop in for a sweet treat or a cool down. Friendly service and staff and nice little building featuring inside and outside seating.

Stopped by after a trip to Kelly Springs. Cute place, good service. Ordered a gelati and was unfortunately not impressed. The custard was good, but the cheesecake ice wasn't what we were hoping. Might visit again, but will definitely pass on the ice.

This place is right near a bike trail and park, which is nice if you want to make a pit stop on a hot day. The Gelati with mango ice and vanilla frozen custard is my favorite. You can sample as many flavors as you'd like and the Gelati is a decent price. The place itself does have a slight smell to it but I just overlook that and enjoy the Gelati outside or on the way home.

Rita's offers Italian ice and frozen custard as well as creative version of the two. We sampled a little of both. I must say I wasn't very impressed with the Italian ice. The birthday cake tasted like watered down birthday cake flavoring, not good. The grape ice was better but not something I would order again. We also tried a Blendini which is their Italian Ice blended, in this case apple ice blended with vanilla wafers. Again this just wasn't my thing. Maybe I'm more of a creamy ice cream person because I did enjoy the frozen custard. It was similar to soft serve but just richer. I got a waffle cone which was just the right size, not too big like some. It's a cute little shop with limited seating- some indoors and some on their little patio just feet away from busy Park Ave. I'll be interested to see if this Italian Ice thing takes off in Apopka.

I've driven by Ritas dozens of times before finally making the turn in to give it a try. It's a cute location, and the staff was helpful and friendly. The custard wasn't quite my thing, though. It was kind of like soft-serve, but with a funny aftertaste.

My family and I enjoy visiting Rita's often for a mid-day treat or after dinner dessert. While I'm not a big fan of the specialty items (Blendini, Misto, etc), I am a fan of the Gelati (your choice of Italian Ice layered between your choice of custard). Speaking of the custard, unlike what some others have stated, I love it and so does my daughter. Frozen custard is suppose to be THICK. Service is usually pretty friendly and fast. They will also let you sample as many flavors as you'd like until you find what you like. The shop is small with limited seating indoors and a few tables outside facing Park Ave. The only thing they are missing is a DRIVE THRU! They would make a killing!
