You will want to go out of your way to get here. Leave extra time so you can find it because its kind of hidden in a strip mall, and looks like a grocery store. ON a window it does say Panaderia La Mexicana (I think) but the signs do not say this. We debated for a few minutes and even left the parking lot to look for another place before deciding to go in and see. The food here is amazing. Thick, home made chips and salsa. Delightful! The staff was very nice and helped us order as well as explained what all of the desserts in the case were. When you are there ask about the drinks in the cooler. They appear to be home made and I wish I could remember the name. These are fruit drinks and you can get them made with water or rice milk - both are INSANELY DELICIOUS. i hope my son plays more baseball tourneys in this area so we can go back!

Great food. Best Mexican I've had in a while. Won't break your bank account either. Try the canitas tacos.

Had lunch as I have heard good things about this taqueria. Chips and salsa verde were promptly delivered. Ordered a Coke and found that they only have bottles and cans. Coke was the Mexican variety which was nice. Salsa is very flavorful with a heat that builds as you continue to eat it. Very good to use on your tacos and tamales. Ordered the chicken tamale which comes with sour cream and fresh cheese. A little dry but still very good. The pork tamale comes with red salsa and is the better option in my opinion. Also had two tacos, chicharrones & lengua. The Iengua was made of diced tongue which had been sautéed in spices until tender and then diced. Quite tasty. The chicharrones were pork skin which were also cooked down and diced. I had hoped that they would have been deep fried for a bit of crispyness but were quite soft. Still had great flavor, just the texture was too soft for me. The selection of taco fillings is quite extensive and you could come here for days trying them all. Between the two of us who dined here, we had two cokes, 2 tamales & 3 tacos. Total bill was $10.50!!!! Unbelievable deal. Make sure to check out all the baked goods they have as well as the homemade Popsicles in about twenty flavors. All appeared to be made with real fruits and spices. Try this place out for lunch or dinner, it is a great change of pace from the Garribaldi's and you may find that the food is much better, as I did. They also serve beer and margaritas.

Based on Yelp reviews we decided to try this restaurant for lunch. It is in a strip mall full of businesses for Mexicans and we believe this is the first time we had Mexican food rather than TexMex. Everything was delicious. I cannot remember the names of what we had, but they were two very different dishes. We will definitely be going back! The waitress did not speak much English, but enough for our wishes to be made known and the manager did stop by to make sure we had everything we needed. They also have baked goods along the back wall. They were only $.89 each - a real bargain!

Went to this place yesterday.. Hands down the best Mexican food I've had. I loved the steak torta and the tacos. They have a great menu with excellent prices. The shrimp tostadas my guest had were incredible.. I will definitely be back!

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
