Pretty decent food for very fair price. So much and more you'd expect from a local barbecue joint. Employees are helpful and friendly, all there sides are good!!

I generally come here for lunch, although I have been here in the evening as well. You will find solid barbecue here, great prices, service and an atmosphere to match- your typical barbecue joint. I have had almost everything on the menu, whatever you order, you can't really go wrong. The sandwiches are all good, and the ribs- well, the ribs are divine. Sides are all good, especially the Green Beans and Collards. Texas Toast is pretty awesome as well. Waitresses are all nice and seem honestly happy to see you. All in all, a great choice if you want a simple barbecue meal.

Bubbalou's has been around for over two decades and that says a lot for their food. I know they aren't perfect but they have a core of menu items which are constantly the same and haven't changed in decades. I really like their St.Louis ribs, their beans and their sweet BBQ sauce. There are other items on the menu I like but the ribs are my favorite. The prices are all very fair and usually you can visit with out having much of a wait time. The last time I visited they told us 15 minutes but we only ended up waiting for 7 minutes. Definitely worth a visit to check their other items out if you don't like ribs.

It may not be the best BBQ in the world, but if you're in the area, you could do a lot worse than Bubbalous. If you're hungry, you won't be for long. Their sandwiches don't lack for size, and they come with plenty of fries. The pulled pork is pretty good, and they keep the sweet tea coming, so I can't complain. There's lots of seating inside, a bar, and cornhole, pretty good bar fare. They do take out too, so if you've gotta run, it's not a bad option.

Try this place for breakfast it's a bit noisy lots of locals but not too bad. Had the eggs Benedict with brisket and hash browns it was almost decent can be pricey. They are proud of their BBQ as you see on the menu but it's pretty std fare BBQ nothing spectacular tried most yet to have any exciting flavor or item. 1/2 step up from sonnys BBQ but a lot more expensive and less satisfying. It's like kissing your sister!

WAS my favorite breakfast joint, but two weeks in a row now going downhill. Servers don't like getting up early on Sunday morning I guess because the attitudes suck!!! Last week was really busy so I kind of understand some of the food being undercooked, but today we came early and there are only a few people here. No reason for the food not being perfect. We had the pancake for the first time and it really doesn't taste good. Keep asking for onions in the potatoes and every time they come with no onions. Maybe they have a new cook and he doesn't know what over medium means. I don't know. I'm baffled. They need to turn it around or it will be my ex-favorite breakfast place.

My hubby loves BBQ more than I do, and often he wants BBQ on the days I want sushi. But the truth is, this place has great food and I do not mind going on those imbalanced days. The last two times here I got the grilled chicken sandwich. It's juicy and flavorful. I also like to put their sweet BBQ sauce on my fries. Also, their servers are always so nice and friendly. P.S. Their bloody mary is pretty rad. It tastes great with the chicken sandwich. ;)

I have been to the Orlando branch of this restaurant and this one boasts a much bigger dining room. The service is really friendly, the food is just as good;) I had the pulled pork sandwich here and it was delicious, but I stand by my original favorite, the brisket.

Breakfast at Bubbalou's. First our waitress was awesome. Super sweet, joked with us, made recommendations of what she saw on the menu. I had Country Fried Steak and eggs (joked about the fact that is called Chicken Fried Steak where I come from) and my friend had the pancake and eggs breakfast. Portions are pretty darn big. If you order the pancake and egg breakfast, no way you can go home hungry. The Panckaes are HUGE. Over easy eggs were done properly so props for that! The Country Fried Steak was a nice portion with reasonalble (not to thick) coating. There was a slight twinge of smokiness to it which was actually good. Not sure if it was in gravy or steak or just in my mind becasue we were in a BBQ place. Biscuits were good(it is not the Loveless Cafe). For a BBQ joint that does a "country" breakfast, they did a nice job. Pretty full menu of options but I would not go here if you are looking for the fruit cup with granola. It is a real breakfast. Thanks guys...

My favorite of all of the BBQ joints in town. They have the best pulled pork and baked beans! Sometimes the baby backs are a little dry but other than than its my fav!

Bubbalous is a good neighborhood type place - with a nice bar(the lucky pig) they serve up a good sized plate of que their way- look every place does bbq differently think chopped que from the Carolina is better than Texas que? whatever I think it is like debating which is better chocolate vs vanilla ice cream okay enough of that rant they feed ya good tasting food the sauces are good - unique and tasty portion sizes are good if not over sized - rarely do we leave without leftover for lunch the next day (or midnight munchies) we like their BBQ sundaes (bbq/mashed potatoes/coleslaw/beans in a cup) for 3.99 not bad at all and I really a fan of the sweet potato fries here (I mix ranch and BBQ sauce to dip in mmmmm - I say to heck with cholesterol counts - I live on the edge HA!) oh and the folks who work there are some of the nicest folks in town

Its sign has three pigs dancing over a fire because they are about to be eaten... And I am quite happy, typically, to eat them. The pulled pork here is nice and juicy. Not so much for the sliced pork in my experience. I've had better BBQ, but I've also had far, far worse. Compared to Porky's and Sonny's in Apopka, Bubbalou's gets my vote every time.
(4)
Brian M.
Not a huge fan of the place, but it is acceptable BBQ. I go back and forth between here and Porkie's down the road. This place definitely has better sides, and the BBQ is about even in both places. With the limited selection of restaurants in Apopka, this is one of the better, and the prices are definitely reasonable. I can easily say this is the nicest Bubbalou's I have been to in central Florida.

Chuck E Cheese look out!! Their food is not good enough to put up with poor management and kids in the bar. Apparently we were the last to get the memo, since they were EMPTY on a Saturday night!!!! They have no idea what they are doing! Saturday night and the bar is full of kids and the restaurant side is EMPTY!! It's clear to everyone that this is not the place to go watch football, or eat! Chuck E Cheese look out!! By the way, when we complained to the manager, who looked about 20 years old, he said that you can sit anywhere you like and if 20 plus 8 year olds want to sit in the bar on a Saturday night they can, it's a family restaurant!!! So we said, then DON'T have a separate bar......and good bye!!!

I had the pulled pork dinner with 3! sides and garlic bread for $10.99. The price and amount of food that you get here is outstanding but the quality of food might not be top notch but is still solid enough for a 3 1/2 star rating from me.

Monday lunch $10.99 baby back ribs with 2 sides. Edible, but certainly not life changing. I would stick with a basic sandwich or pulled pork next time. Don't eat here but 1-2 times per year. nothing ever fantastic

Since moving to Apopka, we've had a hard time finding good eats. So we were thrilled when we discovered this fantastic BBQ restaurant, and so close to our home! The menu rocks. Tons of options. I was immediately drawn to the baby back ribs. The basket, not the platter (you get a ton of food). They were incredible. My son enjoyed their mac 'n' cheese and I loved their mashed potatoes and cole slaw. My mom ordered the collared (sp?) Greens and I tried some. Neither one of us are a fan, but then again, we are from California. fantastic food, excellent prices and a fun atmosphere. But the highlight here, aside from the food of course, is the staff. They are so welcoming, friendly and helpful. We were particularly impressed with Jordan. She was so nice and really made sure we felt welcomed and had everything we needed. When we returned a week later, not only did she remember us, but she remembered that my son needs his drink in his sippy rather than a glass. She offered to go fill it with juice or water for me before we were even seated. We have never waited for a table too, which is great. As we were leaving, I noticed they offer a mean breakfast menu (will be trying that soon) and a drive-through window!! We are so in trouble with the drive-through.... ;-) highly recommended! The ribs are amazing!

After several more stops at Bubbalou's I have to take it down a notch. It is still edible but not 'solid' like I said in my first review. I've been disappointed multiple times, especially with the S-L-O-W drive thru service. Then when you do get you food it is a let down. Bland, overcooked, dry and fatty. In fact at one point I swore I was never going back. I'd much rather drive up the street to Porkie's, any day!

Justin S.
Walked in an hour before closing. Waitress was very nice and didn't make us feel rushed. I'm hesitant going to places like this because they never feel clean, but going in so late for a meal I got to see the effort taken in cleaning the dining room. I just hope the same can be said about the kitchen. This place is cheap, tacky, and unhealthy, but you sign up for this well before opening up the menu. The BBQ is well done here, though I am not sure such a thing as BAD BBQ exists considering its accepted "no rules" methods. I particularly enjoyed the sides that come with your meals and the spicy/hot BBQ is just right.

Lousy service and a manager who doesn't care. Ordered take out, got all the way home and found out that they didn't even complete the sandwiches. Had to drive all the way back to get the rest. The waitress went in the back and spoke to the manager who looked liked she was being inconvenienced and only gave part of what was missing. The waitress had to go back a second time to get the rest and the manager really looked like I was bothering her that I wanted the food I paid for. I asked to speak to her and was given an excuse that they do it that way since it was takeout. How a restaurant does it is NOT the customers concern. It is the responsibility of the restaurant to give the customer the complete order. When I said I was not happy about wasting my time to go back and then going back home to cold food for my family, she said she apologized and would write my name down. That really did me a lot of good and showed how much she didn't care. As for the food the fries tasted like they were sitting for awhile before we picked them up and my wife bit into a large piece of cartilage in her sandwich.

Good quality food and reasonably priced. The service is decent and they have good drink specials. I will continue to go there. During football season they have good game day specials as well. I haven't used it, but they also have a drive-thru for take out.

The best deal in Orlando for a family barbeque I recommend calling and your order ahead if you are picking it up also a great place for the family to dine in. The price is moderate but well worth it make sure you try the special sauce.
