The food here is amazing. We have not dine in the restaurant but have done takeout on several occasions . The service was exceptional. Food was ready as promised . We have ordered the eggplant Parmesan , ravioli fresco and shrimp scampi. Everything was delicious and authentic . The complimentary bread basket is yummy. Of course the location is not ideal but the food and service more than make up for it. Definitely will return

What a great, hidden gem! We came for Fathers Day and had such a wonderful time. The food was delicious and the hospitality was perfect. Highly recommend this spot to anyone who wants delicious, freshly prepared Italian. Menu was also very extensive - vegetarian/gluten-free options, fish, and the good old standbys of pasta and pizza.

Amazing! Dishes are so good. Everything! Service is attentive, friendly, and professional. This is my favorite Italian restaurant of all time. Dishes are around $15, and portions are so ample you can easily split a plate with someone, and both be very full. However, the food is so, so good you will want your own plate to take home left overs. (Even really good as left overs.) Entire family was totally impressed. I wrote this review a month ago- parents are visiting from out of town, and this is the one place we are going to be sure to take them. We live in New Jersey, and it is very well worth the drive. We went in early evening and did not know what to expect. Only one couple was there. We were amazed when our food arrived. Not sure why this restaurant was not packed- imagine it is usually busy later in the evening (guessing.)

This place is a real find. The food is fresh and delicious. Our waiter, Danny, and the owner/chef, Vince, could not have been friendlier. Medium-priced and worth multiple visits! Try the special stuffed pork chop if available and don't gorge on the fresh, hot bread because you need to stay hungry for the very generous portions.

My colleague and I stopped here on the way back from presenting at a conference in Newtown, PA. Very unassuming little spot, but the food was pretty good. I ordered the lobster bisque, which was just okay. But the grouper over angel hair pasta with a tomato medley, if you will, with sautéed spinach was pretty good. They also brought out complimentary pizza slices, and the onion pizza was very good. They pour nice cocktails as well. Our waitress was very nice and checked on us quite a bit. I would definitely stop here again.

They have really good meat lovers pizza. And really great pasta. The staff are really nice and happy to help you. A little pricey but it's worth it to eat here. It's great for family and friends to eat here.

Service was great. The server was very charismatic and friendly. I was thoroughly impressed by the salmon salad I ordered. Normally restaurants make their salads so generic but these guys switched it up nicely. Would definitely come here again.

My husband had the eggplant parm. and thought it was good. I ordered the prime rib panini. I was surprised it was served on a hoagie roll and not pressed and melted. I probably would not order it again. The fries that came with it were awesome.

Unfortunately I came here a second time and I wasn't very pleased. It might had something to do with the fact that they were closing soon. I don't think I will be returning here.

I walked in 10 minutes to 10, I thought they closed at 11. This nice older Italian chef came out, said don't worry about it and asked what I wanted. He went in the back and came out with a little while later, it was delicious. He was so friendly and welcoming even though I was walking in right as they closed up, I love the atmosphere, the customer service is fantastic and the food is awesomeeeee. Definitely need to try this place as a great way to unwind after work.

Best Italian food in Wilmington! The bread basket is amazing, and the homemade stuffed shells also are excellent. Authentic as you can get.

Great menu. Huge portions--lunch and dinner for the next day! You can mix and match pastas with sauce--something I always love. I had the gnocchi in vodka sauce--very delicious. Gnocchi didn't quite melt in your mouth, but they were good. I got a side of sausage--it was HUGE, def.enough for the whole table. My boyfriend got the lasagna. I had a bite, and it was yummy. We shard the tiramisu. Delish. My mom got the fettuccine Alfredo with scallops. She wished it came with the "smaller" scallops, but loved the sauce. She said sometimes, fettuccine Alfredo can be too thick "like glue," but this was thin and done just right. Cocktails and featured wines are $7 -- good prices. Overall bill for 3 people w/ tip was $100. They do take-out as well and are right around the corner from me, so I'll be back!

Everything was delicious! Bread at table, apps, mains, desserts....the only complaint that I had was that our service was a little slow tonight.. I would still recommend this place to anyone!

Downgrade. Went to Lamberti's for abusiness lunch. Service was too slow and food was just MEH. I had the flounder lunch special which was swimming in an oily sauce. The asaparagus pieces were a drab olive green and obviously over cooked. Not great, guys. Still - delicious bread that comes with the meal.

Great food! Would have given 4 stars however, appetizer of peppers and mozzarella was horrible! The dish was all over the place. It looked liked a big pile of slop. My girlfriend and i made a suggestion. Use less peppers, only use mozzarella (provolone was in dish) and use some pieces of bread that are used with bruschetta. The experience was made up with the main courses we ordered. I ordered the vodka blush cream sauce with spinach fettucine and my girlfriend had lasagna di pollo and spinach. Both were outstanding! Great portion size.

So I was looking for Italian take out on a Monday night on the way home from work. Well most Italian restaurants are closed on Mondays. So I went on Yelp and noticed Tutto Fresco by Scotto. I am very familiar with Scotto from NYC, so I was surprised they had a location in DE. I ordered two orders of Ravioli with Marinara. It came with two salads and bread. All for $26. The food was very good, and the portions were huge. I have half the order leftover tomorrow for lunch.

My husband and I love this place! The food is always fresh, the sauce is perfect and their creative specials are scrumptious. I love the eggplant Parmesan. My husband's favorite is chicken Marsala. Last week I had the salmon in a puff pastry with spinach. It was excellent. The calamari and bruschetta are top notch as well. You can't go wrong with Tutto Fresco if you want real world Italian.

This homey italian restautant seems to constantly change it's name, but what never changes is the quality and consistant good food. Home made pastas, great pizza and very good daily fish specials. Food is always tasty and quick to the table and the service is very good as well.

Always a great meal! These folks seem to get it right everytime! The flavor explodes in your mouth with each bite. The service has always been exceptional! Last night we had a phenomenal meal, a great bottle of wine, which we got for 1/2 price (Monday Special) Last week as I nursed my cold I sent for soup, the Pasta Fagiol, was so delicious n hearty, the flavor lingered on my tongue! As for the price, not sure where u can get food that is of top notch quality n service for under $20 a plate, n only 2-3 plates are over $20! Mange, Mange, Mange! It's sooo good!

I wanted to write this update to highlight the fact that: 1) This was a take-out order and I have been contacted by the restaurant who assured me that that there is a big difference in the food when dining-in verses getting take-out 2) The owner contacted me and offered to give me a $15 gift certificate and invited me to dine-in to try the restaurant. Too bad I am not in the area (and will likely not be back soon, but the offer is always appreciated.) I should also note that the restaurant owner was very courteous and nice (even though there were some bad points in my review). This is how it should be done (even if some owners - *ahem* Pudge's *ahem* - don't seem to understand basic courtesy). If I ever do find myself back in DE (and hopefully not working 15-20 hours a day in a hotel room this time) I will definitely give this place a try!

Had a wedding rehearsal dinner for a party of 30. Room was just right for this size group. Things were handled as promised. The food was very good and there were large portions. Everyone had good things to say about the meal and set a great tone for the wedding. High marks for food and were user-friendly.

Food is very good to excellent. Classic Italian foods as well as many entrees with a creative, modern flare. The service really stands out. Our server (Amanda) was friendly, knowledgeable, attentive - nothing short of excellent. The owner also cares about every customer and routinely stops by to say hi and checks back to make sure you are happy. They've redone the menu since our last visit but kept all the best from the old. The restaurant and bar areas look great and are warm and inviting. This place is a gem and should be packed every night. Probably should have written this before, but we had a medium size group there for dinner a few months back for a confirmation dinner and received the same great food and personal attention you can expect here.

This place has improved dramatically! I ordered their cod special with grilled gnocchi and it may have been the best cod I've ever had. The broth was a light creamy mushroom broth that was fantastic. They served grilled gnocchi on the side with a lemon wedge. If you lightly sprinkle the lemon on the gnocchi it adds a delicious and light flavor to the lightly grilled gnocchi. I'm still craving them, they were so good. The bread they bring out is also delicious. Some of it has this caramelized onion on top. It's great. I've been there a few times before and the food has been good. But the specials and bread this last time were truly outstanding!

Ordered takeout lunch for three ... For $50, three entrees, bread, and salad with house dressing. The interior is quite nice and casual, but still has white tablecloths. The stuffed shells were ok. The veal parm was tender and served with capellini. The veal ciafia (veal with mushrooms and artichokes) and pasta was also good.

A pleasant surprise as we stopped on a longer trip via 95. Appetizer breads were yummy. Both our chicken entrees were fresh and the pasta perfectly al dente. To top it off there were large portions and friendly staff!

Amazing food!!! Amazing service!!! After spending all day at a conference we were driving back to MD trying to find a place to eat. We saw the sign on 95 so we went. We hit the jackpot on this place! The food from the soup and salad to the desert was perfect! We would drive the 3 hours to get here over and over!

I went for the first time Sunday; the rolls and the pizza bread were delicious.I had the fried calamari for an appetizer, which was pretty good. For my entree I got the Eggplant Parmesan which came with a small side of vegetables and mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes and vegetables were really good! The Eggplant Parmesan was very good, decent portion size but a little too expensive for that particular dish. The waitstaff was quick, polite and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with a separate bar area for a cocktail.

Yik, both mine and my boyfriends food was gross. We choked part of it down and got out. It sucks because the exterior was cute and it seemed nice and clean. I don't see it on the menu anymore, but it was a lasagna with a creamy sauce and I think my boyfriend got some type of Carbonara?

    (1)
  • Paul F.

Exceptional and consistent quality. I crave the pizza-like appetizer, and the marinara sauce is mouth watering. This is one of the few places where the food is as good as it is in Italy and the portions are generous. This restaurant eased the transition from moving from Philly.

We stopped here for our first time on Sunday night. I have been to the Lamberti's in Prices Corner and thought this was the same owners. Still not sure about that. The bread gets 5 stars-it was nice, fresh, hot and garlicy! Thumbs up! 3 different kinds of bread. one was like a tomato pie but hot, the other like a white garlic pie but hot and the 3rd a hot roll which we dipped in olive oil that was out on the table. The place started getting busy for a Sun night. Started off with the antipasto appitzer. We cleared the plate all but artichokes and 2 olives simply due to our dislike for both. Everything else was top notch! Roasted peps, fresh motz, marinated eggplant, prov, salami and procuitto. We then shared a pizza with procuitto and mushrooms. Pizza was very good and exceeded my expectations. Also ordered the special of the day which was a whole fish with sea salt, garlic and olive oil. The bf loved this and gave it a 5. For 25.00 I thought after the fish came off the bone not alot to it and thought just okay. mashers were reallly good. will give 5 stars due to bf is tougher critic so when he says it's 5 stars it should get 5 stars. We will be back soon! Only complaint -sked or the house cab which was and got charged 7.00. We didnt say anything.

My family (which includes 3 kids from elementary to high school) has eaten at Tutto Fresco (formerly Lamberti's) many times; it's a favorite of ours. The food is classy, and the place has a nice ambience, but it's still the type of restaurant where you can bring [well-behaved] kids - not too stuffy. We especially like their fried zucchini appetizer, and the basket of different breads they bring out while you wait for entrees. Pasta and meat dishes are consistently executed well. I'm no gourmet, but Tutto Fresco certainly fits my idea of good Italian food. (Out-of-town guests we've brought there have also enjoyed it.)

Lamberti is a great restaurant.service is frendly food is great! They make it your way. Just tell them and you will never be disaappointed. Great bar!

  • Kristian G.

Average Italian restaurant, step above the Olive Garden. Although the broccoli rabe was very good. I knew we were in trouble when our waiter, Giovanni, introduces himself and says "I hope you like me". Service was slow and the Chilean sea bass was swimming in the sauce. Other entrees were average. Service was childish. Prices are are a little steep for what you get. Tab for 3 was $115 with tip.

Personally I love the food at Lameberti's. And the Bananas Foster dessert is a favorite also. Prices seem reasonable to me (I'm looking at some other reviews, confused). I think the place is awesome. Not 5 stars like Tavern on the Green, NYC, 5 stars like- a perfect treat to yourself at a reasonable price, that you can afford to do on a regular basis. Great for a date too, due to the atmosphere and nice smell of the place. Try it!!

  • Jen S.

I've been to Lamberti's a handful of times over the past 3-4 years. It's that kind of place that's decent enough but not your go-to, even if it's close. The bread is bangin' - whether they have garlic bread or pizza-like slices. We asked for seconds! The pasta and chicken dishes I've had have been okay but not spectacular. I keep hoping that the sauce or the presentation is really going to knock my socks off, but it never really does - especially given the higher-end prices. However, you DO get a large quantity of food - feel free to split a dish. If you're looking for a fun and delicious dessert, try the flaming bananas!

Very disappointing. We had often gone to Lamberti's before they remodeled and offered a menu of amazingly flavorful and unique pasta dishes as well as a variety of other well-prepared Italian meat and seafood items. This visit ,our first since the remodeling, exposed us to a completely different menu. I had Veal Carciofi which was a bit tough and just not that flavorful. My wife had Housemade Sausage and Peppers best described as several sausage patties, which tasted almost like Boca Burgers, served over pasta. Their website suggests that the staff is unchanged - I suggest they reintroduce their old menu.

    (2)
  • Bilal M.

The food is really good. The bread made me want to jump out of my chair and moonwalk. The only negative is that my wife and I had to wait about twenty minutes to be served. The waiter apologized.. I almost left but I am glad that I stayed. Next time I will sit at the bar near the fireplace.

This restaurant was already listed under "Pizza" which is somewhat misleading. It's an overpriced Italian restaurant which also serves pizza. The walls are covered with "Best of" annual contest wins from a local magazine, which kind of baffles me. Franky, the place is just not that impressive. But it's priced like it is. I had the shrimp scampi for $22, which was very tomato-y, while I prefer wine and butter. Good amount of garlic, though. The wife had a pasta dish with chicken. Again, it was good if not spectacular. We had a coupon, which made the visit almost worthwhile. But when we have an Italian craving, I wish we were closer to the Olive Grill in Newark (NOT Olive Garden - not to be confused!)

The fluorescent green skylights make for an alien atmosphere. Decent food, but a little pricey. Effusive service.

Best Italian restraint in the area. Service is great, food is always well done. For those who don't know they well do any dish anyway you request it. They routinely change up the menu but if you had a dish that you liked and it is not currently on the menu they will whip it up for you anyway. I love the cheese ravioli which is not listed on the menu but they will make a plate for me with out any delay in service. Don't be afraid to as

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
