Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Love this pizza. Just moved from Philly and love my pizza just this consistency. Thin and big. Sauce and crust also just as enjoyable. Can't beat the Weds $5.00 pizzas either! -Andrew

Ordered Nick's for the first time tonight after reading reviews...and it was delicious! :) We had a Philly cheesesteak pizza with a side of old bay fries...the only negative is that the pizza wasn't piping hot when it arrived. However, we were still extremely satisfied with the food, price, and delivery service. I think we've found our new favorite pizza place :)

After trying many of the local and chain pizza places in the area, without a doubt the best is Nicks. Fresh ingredients, friendly staff, and a delicious pie with the perfect crust. Just wish they delivered!

Moved from a place where we had family italian spots on every corner. They had the new york style thin pizza, and thats what we loved. When we moved to Wilmington we tried every pizza place and they all had thick greasy pizza. We finally found what we were looking for at Nicks, and they deliver

Never ate in, only pickup once, and mostly delivery - we like to eat at home. Delivery was always timely, except for once when it was snowing really bad and they were only a little late. Food was always hot. Pepperoni extra large pizza. We got the 18" once and then it was discontinued. The 16" is still big though. We ordered when we had friends over for drinks and promised them it would be the best pizza they've had in a long time. (To promise best pizza ever MIGHT have discredited our claim). They agreed it was awesome. Who knew Delaware had good pizza? The guy that usually delivered to us was very friendly. Now we live in California, but we still hold Nick's as the standard by which we compare all other pizza's though. NY style: thin-but-not-crunchy crust, lots of cheese, a little greasy but not too much, and the kind of runny sauce that you have to fold the slice in half to keep the pizza ON the crust.

Nick's Pizza is great - it's local - right on Philadelphia Pike and has a large menu. The staff is very friendly and they are fast about making the pizza, but the quality is still very good! The sauce on the pizza is really good too, and as another reviewer said, the perfect amount too. This place is sooooooo much better than any chain pizza place in the area!

I've lived here for three years and always saw this place, but never tried it. Wanted pizza so figured let's give it a go! REALLY good pizza - something hard to find in this area, in my opinion. Thin crust, good amounts of cheese and sauce and good price at $10. I am excited to come back and try the wings. I was bummed they had no menus so I could save for future perusal. And even better- they deliver!

Love this place! I was craving pizza one day (which I don't do very often) and since I work within a 1 minute drive, this place seemed like the most obvious choice. I ordered a white pizza with ricotta, spinach and tomato. SO good. It wasn't too greasy and had a REALLY good amount of spinach and ricotta. I was pretty surprised at the size of the slice and ratio of toppings for only ~$2! The sauce was not too thin, not too thick and had a good amount of garlic, so I was a happy camper. I hate really doughy pizza crust, so the crust being on the thin side (but not matzo cracker thin) is okay with me. I've been back a handful of times a month in the last 2 years, each time getting one of their white with ricotta and vegetable varieties (spinach, broccoli, tomato, etc.). Oh, their freshly made potato chips are also really nice! Salty, but not too salty. Nice and crunchy! I have never had their other foods (in fact, I had no idea they even offered anything except pizza) but many of my co-workers frequent this place for cheese steaks and hoagies so it must be good!

Ouch! I think the people at Nicks are nice and I am sure they help the community... I do not know if we are just picky or that other people do not care what they put in their mouths for their money! Recently after reading these reviews, my wife and I decided to give Nick another chance (tried them over a year ago and were disappointed) Pro's: Good crust, nice and thin .. Con's Very little cheese, sauce and subsequently "TASTE"! ... In all fairness, it is tough to find a good pie in DE .. as natives, it has always been this way... if you want a consistent product you have to go to a chain (Papa Johns, etc.) but of course you will get what you get. I suppose we have been spoiled by our trips to NYC and CT ... perhaps it's the water? If you like Nicks then enjoy... We will not be back.

A nice pizza shop located a short distance off of I-95. We got our pizza to go to take back to work. They also do dine in as well as take-out, with slices ready to go. Our pizza was great, with a nice thin crust. They included a menu for us and they also have dubs and other goodies. It is close to work and I am sure we will be back.

Nick's is a nice low-key pizza/sub joint. Prices are reasonable and portions are large - a typical hoagie can feed two adults. The food's fair to good. I like their pizza, though some other family members are only so-so about it. Their roast beef is a bit dry (had it twice now), probably from overcooking. On the other hand, they have better fries than many pizza joints (are you listening, Pat's Pizzeria?). I also like Nick's because they're generous in helping out the local high school, but I'd get food from them regardless.

Really good pizza, with some amazing varieties. I had plain and a buffalo chicken. Both are what I call New York style. Thin crust (not too thin like a flatbread) with a tasty sauce. Perfectly cooked. A joy! I am rather a traditionalist, so I didnt try the nacho pizza. My friend raved about the Alfredo pizza (rigatoni and Alfredo sauce). Well done Nick.

Easily one of the better pizza places in the area. The fact that they use fresh mushrooms on their mushroom pizza is clue number 1. Pizza is thin but not crustless, sauce is good, and crust has good flavor. Wings are very good. Definitely will get pizza from here again.

We order from here about once a week and have been really impressed with their food. Everything is homemade, which is a huge PLUS! I especially love their chips, fried pickles, and cheese steak wrap (all the goodness of the real thing, without the extra bread). Their Poppa-Nucci's special sandwich is my new favorite - basically an awesome italian with long-hots. I have never actually eaten in the restaurant, so I can't speak to the decor or service, but one of these days I will get there!
