Saturday lunch buffet was very tasty and fresh. Naan bread made fresh and brought to table. Very friendly place.

We had come here for lunch, 10 of us, but the food was awful. We had taken lunch buffet. They had tandoori chicken, paneer, chole, mushroom curry, cauliflower , chicken curry, yellow rice, naan, kheer. Tandoori chicken was tasteless; chicken curry had excess salt; yellow rice tasteless (didn't have salt); The others were mediocre. Kheer and naan were the only 2 items which were good. We had come after seeing the rating in yelp, and we're expecting very good food, but were extremely disappointed.

Lunch was excellent and the price is more than reasonable for a buffet. Interior was on the down side, definitely not upscale environment but service was quick and on point.

Food was great! We go there often. Needs some remodeling but otherwise a nice place to eat.

Have been here many times - have tried a couple of other Indians in the area and they just do not compare to this place. This is a great place for authentic Indian food - excellent service and choice of entrees and spice levels. One of the best Chicken Tikka Masalas and definitely the best Garlic Naan. All very fresh and served in a very customer focused friendly atmosphere.

I would say this is the best Indian restaurant in Wilmington, DE area. May not be very fancy but I love its coziness . And the visit to India Palace is not complete unless you order their mouth watering samosa :)

Awesome Indian Vegeterian Food and very great Service. We were on a drive from NY to Washington and just randomly made a halt to this restaurant. But this restaurant was worth the stop , deliciios paneer makhani, baingan bharta. Pinky Aunty has been very kind and was very helpful in selecting the correct dishes and made it as per the taste we were expecting..At the end the courtesy mango lassi was very good too.

Excellent food. Excellent and friendly service. I admittedly don't know much about Indian food. Did the lunch buffet and the price was more than reasonable. Selection isn't large, but everything's quite good. In addition, there's no shortage of hot fresh Naan. I can't say ill of this place. This hole in the wall pleasantly surprised me.

Posting a review for this place to balance out my other review for Zaikka Grill. Suffice to say this is about as good as it's going to get for Wilmington. Too bad it's not walking distance of work. The buffet lunch is good at $9... not a wide variety of options but you get fresh naan. What more do you want for $9?!?! That said the tandori chicken was dry and over cooked.... but again... i won't ding it.. again. $9. I'll go back.... adjust down 2 stars for those looking for NYC quality Indian food.

I have try so many Indian restaurant. Not happy with this one. Did not like any thing about it. Food was awful and it did not feel like we were in restaurants. Restroom was not in good condition. I would not go again.

Best Indian food around! I absolutely love this restaurant! The chana masala is the best. I refuse to eat Indian anywhere else. The couple who run it are also incredibly nice

This place rocks! Best indian in Delaware. Lunch buffet does not have a huge selection but excellent quality. Dinner well worth it. Support a family owned business (good people) and go for dinner. not in the best area but don't let that deter you!!

This place is very friendly and the food is awesome. Even though the menu is same for lunch every day the food is really good and they don't need to change the menu. The food is also very fresh which is not the case for other Indian Restaurants nearby.

India Palace is, by far, the best Indian restaurant in the area. Pinky and Sushil (the owners) are awesome. Ms. Pinky is a delightful hostess while Sushil creates all the magic in the kitchen. Whether you choose the lunchtime buffet or dinner service, you will not leave hungry or disappointed. Every single meal I've eaten there has been excellent. I always leave full and happy. I was so impressed with my first experience, that I gave Pinky a hug and asked her to adopt me (true story). India Palace is definitely work the trip. Excellent food and delightful owners.

This is the best Indian food in Delaware, hands down. It's not cheap, but it's worth the price. It's family run and the owners are the sweetest couple! I sometimes have had issues with service at similar restaurants in the area, but this place has excellent service. If you're craving real Indian food, this is definitely your restaurant. I order the Palak Paneer, Lamb Curry, and Chicken Tikka Masala almost every time I go. I always order medium spicy and it is the perfect amount of hot/spicy where it's not enough to burn your mouth after you eat. I've had the "spicy" option before and if you like hot/spicy, definitely get it!
(4)
Piyush C.
Limited variety in the buffet, but good quality homemade Indian food. Palak paneer is exceptionally good.

There are very few Indian restaurants in Delaware and none of them are close to 4 star. As an Indian and after staying in New York ( great Indian food) for couple of years my expectation for Indian food is at high level. India Palace is better than others in Delaware. It's buffet is cheap and food is fresh and good. Best part is Naan ( bread ), they will serve hot naan right from the kitchen. Owner is friendly and helpful. I will go there again if I don't want to drive to neighbor states for just Indian food.

Their food is amazing. My friend had been raving about this place and we were not disappointed! If you can't decide what to get, the chef special combo is a good way to go. And Mr. Sushil and Miss Pinky are super nice!

Went there three times so far and always had a good experience. A coworker who is from India said that this is authentic Indian food how he would make it at home. We certainly like it. Family owned and run. Location is a bit odd but don't let yourself distract from that.

I consider this place to be one of those, "don't judge a book by its cover" spots. It is in kind of an odd area off Maryland avenue and looks like a hole in the wall. It is easy to pass by and if you have, you are reaaally missing out! I would say it is the best Indian food in the area. I do have a minor confession... I sleep with a light on. Oh wait, that's another story. No, I always order the same thing here. I get the Chicken Tikka Marsala (bonless chicken chunks served in a tomato, onion cream sauce), the vegetable Samosa's (it's like a turnover with spicy potatoes and peas), and the Raita (a somewhat tangy mixture of cucumber, tomatoes, and maybe carrots? in fresh, thin yogurt). It is the bomb and is really good for dipping their fresh homemade Naan. You can get regular of garlic Naan ( bread) - both good. The chicken Tikka Marsala is perfectly cooked and has some major chunks of all-white chicken. It also comes with rice. Two suggestions: One, I like hot things but their hot is on a whole nother level. I would recommend ordering one level below what you would normally order. Also, I only get takeout here. I come late but still don't see many people dining in. It may be minor crickets if you are in the mood to eat out. However, this is a family run restaurant and they are extremely nice so I am sure it will still be great. They do a buffet at dinner too if you like to try a little bit of everything.

This place is great!! The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Very cozy inside. We got five different dishes and each one was excellent. The "spicy" is actually spicy....a good sign! Their garlic naan is to die for, and the mango ice cream was also perfect. My eggplant dish was smooth and very well done, just right over the rice with some raita on top. I will go again!

This restaurant has been open for over 10 years and has won numerous local awards. I generally stop in for their lunch buffet. They offer probably some of the best Indian cuisine in Delaware. Extremely reasonable prices and family run.The food is always freshly prepared. Every dish that I have tried has been extremely delicious.

The real deal spot. No frills, just the best Indian food around. My favorite is the chicken saag. Everything is cooked in a traditional tandoori oven. My family has been coming here for over 30 years and we dont go anywhere else.

This is the best Indian food I have eaten in the States. And I travel extensively, working for an Indian company. It doesn't look like much at all, so it would be very easy to miss. But the food is all cooked by the couple that own it, each morning, and their cooking is outstanding. They are very lovely people who make you feel like you're dining in their home. I have brought many colleagues here- people from many different countries- and they all have been blown away by how good it is. They even converted a chap from China who swore he hated India food, and had tried it many times and thought it was terrible, only to become so enthusiastic about this place that he wanted to go every day (we were on a short term project in the area). In fact, if I ever learn that I'll be going to Wilmington for business, the first thing I think about is this place. This is incredible value, too- I've had dinner with five guys, including samosas before and chai after, for $100. I've never had anything less than superb there, but I have to point out the saag paneer, which is the best of its kind anywhere.

Bad quality. Not at all fresh during the week days. I have a feeling this is one of those very good Indian restaurants that went bad. I see a lot of veterans from de praise the food. The food is heavy on cream and lacks quality ingredients. This is not original indian food.

India is the birth place of Chicken Tikka Masala and Curries. Indian foods are prepared with a blend of finely mixed spices quite popular across the region. The spices develop the rich taste in Indian food enough to boggle your mind. The ever-increasing fan base of Indian food around the New York city is steadily increasing because of the large number of Indians who traveled to the land of dreams. The Indians also brought their very own vibrant, colorful, and aromatic authentic dishes for the people in the West. While most of the Indian population is Vegetarian, Indian food is great for people who are looking for vegan or vegetarian food option. If you are a Meat lover, don't get disappointed yet. Indian food also boasts of some popular non-vegetarian dishes too. Few examples are the famous Butter Chicken, Mutton Biryani and Tandoori Chicken are enough to satisfy your taste buds.
Indian food has gained reputation all over the world especially in the United States. You can find many places serving the appetizing Indian food across all major cities in the US. India is a diverse country with different food culture originated from different parts of the country. While the Northern region boasts tandoori dishes and korma offering royal taste, the Western Ghats offers sea foods that is made in naturally sweet tender coconut milk. The South Indian food servers a quality of different dishes made from rice accompanied with spicy chutneys, curries and famous sambhar. Also, the Indian sweets are a delight to relish. If you ever want to have a burst of sugar syrup in mouth, don't forget to try few Bengali Sweets. Be it spicy, tangy, or sweet flavor, you can find everything in the Indian cuisine. Be assured that the melody of spices will surely bring delight to you.
