So let me explain I love the pizza here... We walked in after the art loop on a friday, we had a coupon so ya know why not. We walked in and there was no hostess in greet us. They had live music so I'm gonna let that go. We found an open table asked the manager and server is it was ok to sit and it was ok. At that point everything was cool. Than thinks took a weird turn... Our server was super friendly but at the same time she seemed confused or inexperienced. We ordered our drinks and she came back at least once to double check to see our order. It was a house wine and a woodchuck. But we took it in stride and we are easy going so it didn't really matter to us. We ordered our food and we made a slight mod to our second pizza, our pizza coupon was buy one get one free, and it came out completely wrong. I don't remember what we ordered but it came out wrong. I was willing to let it go but the manager over heard and fixed our order. But the pizza was damn good. That sh!t was delicious. I mean that pizza was really good both of them. So all in all I just think we got stuck with a mediocre server. I'm gonna assume next time the service will be better

I have been here a few times and each time was not all that good. I changed my mind this past wednesday , the drag me thru the garden pizza was AWESOME. The very next day after work I returned for another this time take-out. The bar is normal bar, it wasn't busy so how could she not be fast giving me my beer. The prices are a little pricey for a pizza place , but for quality I will pay when I am in the mood.

Chicken parm 'Monster' sub isn't exactly what I would call a monster. It was about a foot long. If you are going to play on the 'monster' themÄ™ it should be at least 18" IMHO. Anyhow, it was tasty and filling. The roll was nicely toasted. The sauce, cheese, chicken proportions were good. Hot and moist with a nice crust. I especially like their sauce, to me it had a subtle spicy heat to it. With each bite I found myself anticipating the sauce. Definitely a nice option for lunch.

Don't do delivery!! We were told it would take approximately 45 minutes, the delivery man showed up an HOUR AND FORTY MINUTES LATER.... Pizza was ice cold. I've had their pizza before and it was delicious, this time? Not so much.

I usually enjoy their food beer selection and atmosphere, but lately the service is extreme slow or non existent...

The service is super slow and it took 1.5 hrs to eat lunch. I got the betty salad (spinach, bacon, tomatoes, feta cheese) with blue cheese. It took 35 min for the food to come out. When we were paying, their register died and no one could use their card. There aren't really atms nearby so that was really annoying. I wouldn't come back here.

The quality of the ingredients is EXTREMELY low. Corporate farm, frozen, cafeteria quality is what to expect. The nachos we ordered came with 1/2 of the things listed on the menu, I made better ones in my dorm room in college 18 years ago. I ordered a meatball parm, I got a chicken parm instead and it was gross and I doubt the meatball would have been any better. My wife ordered a salad, it was pathetic and had ingredients in it that WERE not on the menu. Things she's allergic to. Terrible terrible terrible place.

I love this place! I've ordered here 3X this week and currently waiting for my order right now! The tandoori wings are the absolute best!

I've come here off an on for the better part of a couple years now when i'm in town on business. It's a very different experience depending on if you come with 'regulars' or if you come by yourself. it would definitely be a four star experience if they would just treat all their customers equally good as 'regulars'. Anyway, the food here is serviceable, but nothing to really write home about. I wished their thin crust was a little more crunchy on the bottom crust ( a little soft for me) but not everyone can get the crust right. They also don't really have much of a dessert offering other than some plastic wrapped cookies, which makes me sad. I talked to the manager and apparently nobody was ordering their desserts so they cut then back. boo.

Pizza was out of this world. Laura was a good waitress very down-to-earth and businesslike but extremely efficient. Will definitely come back to this place next time

Waiting an hour for buffalo wings to show. Was a little upset but I understand it's football Sunday. However, wings showed up cold, they got my order wrong, and the person who took my order originally was very smug. I didn't know I was being such a nuisance calling your place of business for delivery. Manager corrected mistakes and sent me complimentary wings, but as a first time customer of Extreme Pizza I was disappointed. I won't be ordering from here again, and as someone living in Wilmington, that's a shame because there's not much around anyway.

This was my second visit, first for food and I gotta say, The pizza here is really good! A variety of crusts, fresh ingredients and a great beer selection. Add the occasional live band and #Gablemusicventures and you've got a decent night out!

Absolutely the worst service I have EVER had. Our waitress was higher than a kite. It would have been hilarious, but the result was so poor. There were three of us. We ordered 2 beers and one wine. After a long wait, the server returns to inform they don't have the wine. Ok, choose another. Another long wait. Server returns with 2 wines and 1 beer, the wrong beer. Leaves wine, takes beer, then is not seen for seemingly ever. Go to bar. Buy my own two beers. Return to table. Pizza delivers. Note to waitress that we bought our own beer. Thanks, she says. This whole sequence took more than a hour, no kidding. We ask for plates and napkins. She fetches same, sets out plates. We ask for napkins, the napkins which are in her hand. She looks at us blankly. We ask, may we have the napkins which are in your left hand? She looks at her left hand as if she were holding the Crown Jewels, realizing that somehow, miraculously, the napkins have fallen from the sky and magically landed just when she needed them most. We order another two beers, even though not done with the first. The waitress notes we have not finished our glasses and asks if we are planning ahead, "SINCE IT TOOK HER AN HOUR TO GET THE LAST BEER". Of course, she actually did not get the last beer, but that is besides the point. We laugh and just agree, saying that we are planning ahead. The pizza was ok, nothing special. The beer was beer. The check came and of course, we were charged for both rounds. I asked for the manager, who never did come to the table. Really unbelievable. Really really bad bad service.

My husband went for lunch today. He sat at the bar for over 10 minutes without anyone bothering to bring him a menu, or even a glass of water. He doesn't get that long for lunch so walked out furious. He asked me to let you all know and he most definitely won't be back.

I always enjoyed going here. I spent two years in Michigan and decided to pop in since it had been a while. I ordered two Dogfish 60's. The bill came and they are now $7.50 each! Did I make a wrong turn and end up in Manhattan? No more visits.

Slow service and screwed-up orders seem to be their specialties of the house. We ordered our pizzas at 6:10. Waitress came over at 6:30 to say they "would be right out," a sure sign that you won't be getting anything to eat for a while. Came by again at 6:40 to say "they're just cutting them up." Pizzas arrived at 6:50. My veggie had sausage all over it. Since I don't eat pork, I sent it back. Instead I shared my husband's, which fortunately came out without the meat he'd ordered. We choked down two slices each, and were out of there by 6:55 because we had a show to go to. The best part? They charged us for both pizzas, including the one neither of us could eat.

Pizza reminds me of cardboard and gives me acid reflux. My latest experience was I accidentally dropped a slice on the floor and when it flipped over there was half of a cockroach stuck to it. I hope I didn't eat the other half. Don't think I'll be ordering from there again. Overpriced and delivery time is inconstant.

ordered delivery last night, hour late. got my "monster sub" .....I've had bad gas station subs bigger than this "monster sub" there wasn't enough meat to cover even half the sandwich and it tasted like cat food smells. After 3 bites I bit into something really hard that almost broke my tooth! (prob a finger nail or some dirt off the floor from where ever they scraped the cat food meat from! Horrible, just horrible, and for $10...... never again!

Among the worst things I've ever eaten. I've had better microwave pizza. To be fair, the atmosphere and the beer selection are alright. If this were a low key bar I'd be all over it. But instead it's a family oriented "pizza" joint where they serve cardboard covered in hot trash.

OK, so lemme preface this by saying I'm a north Jersey native who is, by nature, a pizza snob. Extreme Pizza has dang tasty pizzas, but if you're looking for a slice comparable to Lorenzo's in Philly or any corner shop in NJ or NYC, you're better off at Mazzella's on Philly Pike or Romeo's in Bran Mar Plaza. But if you want an "alternative" pizza (I admit I loooove their BBQ chicken "Ragin' Rooster" pizza), this place is super-tasty. They have a decent craft beer selection, live music on many nights, and a comfy vibe. They do a hefty take-out business, too. Service is great; everyone works hard and smiles.

What a joke, I ordered a pizza at 4 pm. Over an hour passes and i call the restaurant, they had forgotten my order, so they re-send it. Delivery takes an hour and a half, it takes less time than that to walk to this restaurant and back from my house. The pizza was made wrong, so i send it back, i get a call from the restaurant, and the manager says he can't give me a free pizza, but he can give me a credit for the pizza and my next pizza will be free(makes no sense). I say fine, i'll buy this pizza, and the next one will be free, he says ok we will make you another. . Here i am at 8PM!! I just called them and they said they thought i didn't want another pizza. I have been waiting 4 hours for a pizza i have ordered four times now. absolutely infuriating.

Since I was born and raised in Chicago I am a pizza snob by default. Wilmington CLEARLY is not known for great pizza, so I have adjusted my expectations accordingly. . The pizza I had, the Railroad Grade, *looked* delicious, piping hot out of the oven. It definitely looked like the perfect pizza with melted cheese and nicely charred toppings. However, a too-tart sauce combined with a crust with a terrible chemical aftertaste ruined the pizza. I had a pulled pork sandwich here that wasn't bad, but some cheddar or provolone cheese would really set it off and I also had a stromboli/calzone that had some sort of runny white sauce that really was terrible. Extreme Pizza would be rolling in the dough, pun intended, if they work on their recipes. Other than the food (haha), this place seems like a decent date night spot. I can't remember if there was a full bar but the night I went, there was a singer and a pianist performing and I see the potential here for watching games/fights, etc on other nights.

We were in Wilmington to see EVIL DEAD THE MUSICAL and since there was some festival blocking the riverside walkway, we walked up the street and found Extreme Pizza. We only had 2 items from the menu: the Extremely Twisted Sticks and the Railroad Grade pizza. The Extremely Twisted Sticks were just ok. I could've used more cheese and garlic. The Railroad Grade consists of Italian sausage, pepperoni, fresh mushrooms, red onions, tomato sauce, mozzarella and cheddar. I REALLY REALLY liked this pizza! It was yummy and the sauce had just a little kick, reminded me of a Fra Diavlo sauce. I liked they will make any pizza in personal pan size. Makes it easy to try a lot of different kinds of pizzas even though we stuck with the one. Service was courteous and prompt so I would definitely eat here again if in the area!

Service was terrible! Our sever was friendly, but possibly inexperienced. I ordered a pizza for the kids and a half soup/salad for myself and my MIL. We asked for fries as an appetizer and they came out with our meal. Ok, no problem. Then my clam chowder was served luke warm. I sent it back and then the server tells me the soup comes in a bag and is heated that way. Sometimes it doesn't cook very well. (Ding!) 10 minutes later I get my new soup but they ran out of spinach so my spinach salad came with romaine instead (ding #2). After we started eating our meal we never saw our server again. I had to go up to the register to ask someone to refill our drinks and bring us the check. (Ding #3). Pizza was good, but with service this terrible I'm sure I can find something better.

This a really cute trendy pizza joint. It resembled a lofty NYC apartment with industrial exposed piping. They have overpriced painting on the wall for sale. There is a dining area and a bar area. It's not a huge place, but definitely larger than most pizzerias. I like the pizza here, I enjoy creating my own indiviual slices. Once, I had a Greek salad here, I was not impressed with my salad it was missing something. However, it's a pizza place not salad works. In addition, to awesome pizza they have open mic nite as well.

Not the same without the old management. And how does a restaurant close at 11 and stop serving food before the doors close with no notice? Bartender- Will is great!

Being some what of a pizza connaisseur, I feel it is my duty to give every pizza joint a shot. Despite the negative reviews surrounding the delivery time, I decided to order delivery. I was hungry but not starving, so even if the pizza took 1.5 hours I was prepared. Twenty minutes after placing my order, the pizza was at my door which was a surprise but I feel that Extreme Pizza has received the notion that they need to improve their delivery time. I live a few miles from the joint, but on the opposite side of the city. I ordered the Averio, Buffalo Chicken, and Twisted Sticks. Two out of three were really good! Allow me to preface my review with my tastes. I am a huge believer in the cheese, sauce and crust make the pizza. Obviously with a name like Extreme Pizza, I knew the pizzas were about the toppings and not the traditional pizza; however, the Averio was delicious! The toppings paired well together and I would highly recommend it from a change from the usual plain cheese. The buffalo chicken was disappointing. I felt it needed more Gorgonzola to level out the spiciness of the sauce. The twisted sticks were surprisingly delicious, well seasoned, perfectly cooked and delicious. With that being said, the side of tomato sauce was not to my liking, but I also ordered the ranch which seemed to pair well. I will be ordering from them again, especially the Averio and Twisted Sticks. Happy Eating!

A pizza place that I hadn't tried yet that delivered? It was a no brainer to hope in on the work place order and get a pizza. The personal size pizzas were a plus for a multi-person workplace order. I went with the yard sale that seemed like a good choice given the plethora of named and predetermined pizzas. The crust was fairly standard, but baked well with a crisp crust yet chewy core. The toppings were generous and fresh. There were quite a bit on the yard sale. Overall the toppings were fairly standard and not much of them stood out to me in the medley of flavors. But this was one of the better personal size pizzas that I have had. Much better then the competition from those national chains.

Take out was suggested from this place a friend recently ate there and raved about the variety of extreme pizzas. You can order online which is a plus. They offer 4 different sizes including a personal sized pizza. There are probably over a thousand different pizza options, sauces include pesto and the classic tomato amoung others. Toppings range from plain jane to gourmet. I opted for the create your own which a hot sauce base , gorgonzola , mozzarella , caramelized onions and broccoli. The crust was baked on a pizza stone and at a high temperature ( this was obvious based on the crispiness of the crust) the toppings were fresh and plentiful . The personal pizza was the perfect size for me. I added a side caesar salad but it was not worth the 3.95 price tag. It was VERY SMALL, the dressing was very good but i don't think id ever order the side salad again unfortunately. We picked up so we didn't have any issues that other reviewers had. I will def eat here again when I'm craving something not so healthy which happens at least 3 times a week.

My fiancé and her family went here for my birthday dinner and because we had a restaurant.com gift card. We had to ask to see a manager in order to get any attention. The pizza was honestly your average pizza. I don't know that we will use the other certificate I got for the place.
