I've been going here for 4 years and realized today how underrated this neighborhood cafe truly is. A convenient and consistent coffee spot that is so much more. We had lunch today with our dog on the patio. They provide a dog bowl for your pet, too. Excellent touch. Healthy food options all the way to the greasy ones that we can all appreciate. The Turkey Reuben was delicious so was the chicken pesto panini. Just keep in mind, that it's not a fast food place so it may take up to 10-15 minutes for food while drinks can compete with any in and out coffee shop. This is your all-in-one spot that won't disappoint.

This place is ok, but nothing more. I would travel the extra 3 blocks down to brew ha ha if you are looking for coffee and a breakfast sandwich. If you are looking for pancakes, eggs, or hashbrowns, then you may want to stay here. The place is decent, it just isn't anything that you will remember. One piece of warning. When they say hashbrowns, they are talking about the greasy, pressed kind you would find at McDonalds. Not anything that was cooked fresh.

The sight of an Amish guy at the register gave me high hopes. Customer service was friendly and fast, but I did not receive the kind of wholesome, natural, stick to your ribs goodness I've come to associate with Amish restaurants. The wheat toast was hard and dry. The steak omelette, which is advertised as "chopped rib eye", looked and tasted suspiciously like Steakum. The hash browns, which any reasonable person would expect to be fresh, chopped potatoes and maybe onions any peppers, was a single, frozen McDonald's style hash brown patty! (Insert 4 side eye Emojis)

The iced coffee is really good. I had the breakfast burrito, which was bad. It was wrapped in a mission tortilla and was tiny. They used jarred Tostito style salsa which ruined it. Get the coffee, stay away from the microwaved food

**** 3 1/2 Stars**** We came to. Effoc's for brunch on our last day in Delaware. It's a small cafe in Wilmington. My friend described it perfectly: good food, good prices, but the place smells of their cooking so be prepared to smell like brunch. Heeding her warning, we opted to sit outside. Luckily it was a nice day. We looked over the menu and then placed our orders inside. I opted for the vegetarian egg white omelette with lots of vegetables! Loved the spinach and avocado! They also have several beverage options. I chose coffee and the peach mango smoothie. Cool and refreshing. The prices are good and staff is friendly. Effoc's does smell like their food on the inside though. Not a negative, just a comment.

The coffee is pretty good. They have a good selection of pour yourself pots. The only negative is that the music is a horrible mix or top 10 and 90s rock. Hardly a relaxing atmosphere to drink your coffee and enjoy a good book.

This is a nice place to sit down and have a cup of coffee, a nice breakfast, or one of their many pastries. The decor is even nice enough to meet here for a lunch date. The coffee is good. I found the latte to be so-so. The cookies they have are great. I cannot pass up the opportunity to have a chocolate chip or oatmeal cookie. The oatmeal cookie is huge. The chocolate chip cookie is unique with large chunks of chocolate chips. One day I will stop through and try one of their breakfast entrees.

It begins with Eeffoc's. Which I didn't even realize was coffee spelled backwards until Mr. V told me one foggy gray morning. I started going here when I first came out visiting. It was Mr. V's go-to place, for coffee, for breakfast, even for lunch. And when he doesn't like a place, he won't go back, so it definitely was a good place to start for me. I love their coffee, of course. Though I haven't had it in awhile, now that I have a coffee maker. So I go to this place for the occasional treat. My personal favorites are Jamaican Me Crazy, Hazelnut, and Pumpkin. When I officially moved here, I subsisted on their muffins. Because those muffins are SO GOOD. They're crispy and crunchy muffin tops....because that's the only part of the muffin I really care about. The squirrels get the rest. The ones that keep me happy and satiated are blueberry and cinnamon spice. Mr. V gets a variety of different things, but most often he gets the western omelet breakfast sandwich on a croissant. And there's good reason why: the croissants are so soft and flaky, buttery and light, and then you take a bite, and the warm egg and peppers and melty cheese ooze out slowly, and you enjoy everything before it has a chance to cool down. I find that I really like their paninis, and more specifically, the veggie pesto one with mozzarella cheese, while if Mr. V is in a sandwich mode, he gets the ham and cheese panini. They're a tad on the pricier side, usually costing Mr. V and I somewhere between $15-20 for breakfast. But at the same time, I get a biggest size coffee possible, and he gets TWO sandwiches each time. So maybe it's not so bad - or maybe I'm still not used to how much he eats. It doesn't try to hard (I hope most places like this are like that), and it's within walking distance. I've seen the same five faces for the last few years, which is always uplifting. A lot of the negative reviews are because it takes awhile for you to get your food - and while I've noticed that, I haven't cared about it. I like the time it takes because it makes me sit quietly and observe everyone around me. And I really like Jonas - he remembers my coffee and what kind of food Mr. V. likes. That's always a win.

We visit every weekend for breakfast, it's a very nice and cozy cafe with good food and great service. Free wifi too! We recommend it 100%.

After an evening filled with one too many alcoholic beverages, my friends and I woke up with only one desire: greasy food. We found ourselves at Eeffoc's, and "satisfied" would be the understatement of the century. Great coffee and fast, affordable food. I had the breakfast burrito with sausage, egg and salsa and I was "mmm-ing" between every bite. They make great eggs over easy as well. I highly recommend, hungover or not.

This place is just OK. The coffee isn't bad but most of the menu is overpriced. I've had a few of their muffins and the first time I had the blueberry muffin I got sick. Decided to give the baked goods another try and I was fine so maybe I got a bad batch the first time. Service was average. Would consider going to other places in the area if I wanted a cup of Joe.

I was in town for a meeting and really wanted a breakfast sandwich. Thankfully this place exists! I got a coffee and a breakfast sandwich at a non-breakfast time for a very reasonable price. They take credit cards without a minimum which is a nice plus. The one thing that stands out in my mind is that there was a broken chair in the restroom when I was there and this surprised me because somebody who's not careful could have gotten hurt. I probably should have said something, but good ideas sometimes come too late, unfortunately, so that's my bad. If I came to this area again, I'd definitely go here again.

Nice staff but hope you're not in a rush as they tend to take a very long time. Drinks are much quicker than food and they do have a nice selection. There also seems to be an item wrong every time we have gone there

Great full breakfast in Trolley Square. I especially like the deluxe platter - eggs, pancakes, bacon, hash browns and toast - good eats and only $7! They also have a good selection of pastries too. They have just okay coffee and too expensive lattes.

Free wi-fi, nice setting but a bit too bland and airy for those looking for a traditional coffee shop feel. A medium iced latte and slice of bland cake was $8-plus, EXTREMELY high for Wilmington, Delaware. I've been living in New York about two years now and paying that much at Starbucks in Manhattan would raise an eyebrow. Paying it here was a once and only experience. The service was generally friendly but like similar area coffee shops, there were no smiles or "good mornings" or "thank yous" when I dropped by. My iced latte was good and strong, CERTAINLY better than the other area coffee shop I've recently reviewed but for the price and the homogeneous, soulless atmosphere, I'd take a pass if I were you unless you just REALLY needed a cup of coffee and have 10 minutes to spare for it.

Impeccably clean. Fast, courteous service and great breakfast. And free WiFi. What else can you ask for as your car is being worked on in one of the dealers two blocks away? Love the place.

Oh, Eeffoc's. Your coffee's still good, your food has actually improved in quality, but dear God...This place is so, so poorly managed. I've lost count of how many Saturday mornings I've spent waiting 30 minutes for a bagel with cream cheese, or how many times I was blatantly ignored by the staff, or how many times my order was just plain forgotten after it was placed and paid for. It's a shame. This place would be awesome if it was managed by people who know how to run a coffee shop, and who know customer service. If you hire young teens to man your counters, you better train them damn well. I imagine this place stays in business due to the heavily trafficked corner it sits on and its continuously rising prices (I get it). I only go back if a friend wants to meet me there for coffee, but that's it. Jonas, you make THE perfect iced coffee, but I just can't justify giving you any more business than that.

My favorite neighborhood coffee spot! They have great coffee and lattes, awesome breakfasts and you can't beat the prices! The staff is super friendly and accomodating and its a great place to start your day!! I wish I had 4 hands so I could give this place 4 thumbs up!!

Tips: Jamaican Me Crazy Coffee is awesome! The breakfast sandwiches are good and the pastries are great too.

This coffeehouse is okay. The coffee is decent, but the food is better. While lunch items are very expensive for a coffeeshop ($8 a sandwich or so), breakfast is inexpensive ($3 for a bagel sandwich). Likewise, coffee is inexpensive, but the coffee based drinks are a little on the high side (more than starbucks). The shop has free wifi, but signs on the table inform you that you better keep ordering things or the wifi will be cut off. I find the sign to be rude and a bit patronizing. If you are just ordering coffee, I would make sure to insist on the house mug. The house mug guarantees you free refills while the to-go cup does not. I found that out the hard way and was mildly annoyed. As far as the staff goes, I've found most of them to be ambivalent at best and rude at other times. One guy is friendly, but otherwise, nothing special. Again, this is Wilmington, so be grateful for anything. Brew Ha-Ha is down the street, but never seems open. Presto Coffee is a bit further away, but is also another option. Toscana also has a small coffee shop-esque place in their catering outpost.

Great breakfast options, terribly weak coffee. Perhaps that is why it is spelled backwards? But seriously, they have all the different brews (of which there are many) in carafe's. The first time we went I started to put the pumpkin brew in my cup but it looked a little weak. So I went for the Jamaican me crazy, also looked weak (similar to diluted iced tea), then went for the "0 dark 30" - still weak. Very disappointed. I did not review after my first visit as I wanted to make sure it wasn't just a fluke. Second visit - same story. Except this time they had a limited special "Zombie Cure" which was decent but still not very strong. At least it actually tasted like coffee. Also, we found the cashier to be moderately apathetic/rude the first time (nice guy the second time). And the signage is lacking - if you haven't been there before they don't clearly tell you where the coffee it. Lastly, the set up is crowded and there is not a well-defined place to stand in line, leading to confusion when some people line up in front of the pastry case while others are in line in front of the cash register. Oh, did really enjoy the breakfast burrito - quite tasty & very filling. If not for that this place would have gotten 1 star.

The coffee was brown hot water. Absolutely terrible. I didn't expect it to be great but this was undrinkable.

Average food. Consistently slow and apathetic service. Been a handful of times but, I think I'm going to start opting for walking the extra block to Brew Ha Ha.

Eeffoc has decent coffee and sandwiches. The workers are generally friendly and there's free Wi-fi... That being said, I love Brew HaHa and would much rather go one more block to get my coffee there, unless I want to drink/eat outside.

Great lattes (especially their pumpkin and egg nog lattes in the fall) and solid breakfast sandwiches. This is a great stop for a quick breakfast for a good price. They also have a few tables outside so this is typically my stop when the weather is nice.

Coffee is hit or miss, which is ashame for a coffee shop. But their egg sandwiches are awesome - just make sure that you order one made - don't grab their premade ones under the warmer.
