Pros: -Good views. -Something to talk about when you feel like complaining about something. Cons: -Their name. -Their attitude. -Their ketchup-tasting bloody marys. -Their disgusting eggs benedict. -Their fictitious claim they serve the best crabcakes. -The fact that they have the balls to actually use the MD flag in their logo when ALL of their crabmeat is Asian. -It's taking up prime real estate that another restaurant could be using. -The fact they had the audacity to open another one in Fenwick. -That I must drive past it when going to the beach. Seriously, GTFO. This place is a prime example of a beach restaurant that puts profit before taste and service.

One of my wife's favorite places to get crab cakes in OC. According to her if you're looking for crab cakes this is the place to be. Well, im allergic to shellfish so my review is going to be looking at a completely different angle. The happy hour specials looked great. The only problem was that they are only available at the bar, and the bar was packed, like uncomfortably so, so I opted for patio seating, which may had cost a few dollars more but boasted a beautiful view of the bay. from order to arrival, the wait was about 35 minutes. My wife went with the crab cakes which sanctioned before she loved. I went with the boom boom chicken sandwich and chips. It was three (healthy sized) strips of white meat battered and fried, with bacon and a white cheese on a kaiser bun. It was supposed to come with some sort of "boom boom" sauce, I was hoping a buffalo variation, but never really noticed. Over all it was a good sizes sandwich with a pretty good flavor. The side is what sank the meal for me. Maybe I should have opted for the fries ($2 surcharge), but the "house cut chips" were just not what I had expected. Kettle style chips (imo overcooked) and lathered with a seasoning (maybe old bay?). Had they been a sea salt variation of the chip, I think it would have added to the meal, rather than detracting ( and creating conflicting flavors). If I were to go again I would try to get a spot to enjoy the HH food specials, otherwise the boom chicken is a safe bet for non seafoodies.

I don't know why there are so many mediocre reviews. When we went there this past weekend we had excellent service and great food, and we are food snobs! There was a band playing so it was a bit loud, but not unbearable and it didn't bother our 7 month old. We enjoyed the live music actually. We were seated on the main level, outside. The view was fantastic. I'm glad we weren't seated inside because there are a lot of TVs at the bar. The Orange Crush and Seabreeze we ordered were made to perfection, and the crabcakes were mostly large chunks of delicious crabmeat. I wish there were more dessert options. We devoured the chocolate lava cake.

Happy hour crab cakes very fishy Despite how hungry we were we couldn't finish the fishy crab cakes Nachos have cheap meat and melted velvet on it. Terrible! Try another place. We were a fan of theirs for 10 years but never will go there again, very disappointed

So I don't usually get excited about food but here IM and I have to give them four star rating service wasn't great but the food was banging crabcake according to the picture you can see is fat and juicy the bloody Mary's whoa you have to try check it out Here I am a local and I will definitely be back

If you haven't been here for breakfast while coming to the beach you are missing out on Crab Eggs Benedict...best most indulgent breakfast ever !! All the offerings are solid but this would be my first choice...great staff too

Crab stuffed lobster..mmm. Live entertainment, good bartenders. Fun place to be. Sounds like they should try to buy local though.

Best crabcakes I've ever had at a restaurant. Very crabby. The view is great, the waitresses I've had were both very friendly, but the hostess was not the most accommodating. Great orange crushes but not the best I've ever had. Happy they opened one in Fenwick, will be dining again soon.

Great service, staff is on the ball. Food is very good, crab cakes top of the list. Nachos are just crazy good. Beer is cold and many choices, just prefer glass. Very good happy hour! Great bay views for the wife and cold beer for me.

Those who go here to get the "best" crab cake in town have to have a taste for foreign crab meat cause that's what your going to get. Your much better off going 2 doors down to get a real crab cake from Capt. Macs whose meat is from Clayton's in Cambridge MD. Crabcake factory should stop cheaping out and by some local crabmeat from Maryland as well.

I've been here for dinner (see previous review), but just tried the brunch this past weekend. I had the make-your-own skillet and an orange crush; both were delicious! Great service from Mary as well! Will definitely come back again!

What an absolutely awful place. My wife was waiting with car while I went in to put our name on list. The parking lot nazi who works for the restaurant starting yelling and cursing at my wife to move and he threatened her. When I came out of to my car he came to car and the manager JEFF came out. The same man came over to the car and wanted to fight me. Jeff defended the lot guy and told me I should not use foul language. (How many men will not defend their wives). What low life's Maybe they have too much business to care. I tried to call the owner who was unavailable and they would not give me his number. Don't care how good he food might be- this guy is a bully and I guess the owners are happy with his work.

The view is awesome and the place is inviting. The staff is attentive and friendly so what's the problem? Well, the crabcakes are great, but that's about it. I went twice to be fair but here's the thing. The clam chowder is bland and way too thick. The steamers were covered in salsa and not middle necks - frankly I'm not quite sure exactly what sort of clam they were. The only thing I'm sure of is that they weren't very good. I also tried the soft shells which were overly breaded and not very good. Add to all of that that the bathroom were dirty, broken and no paper towels and a staff member helpfully pointed out the no paper towel issue but made no move to correct it. So, see ya Crab Cake factory.

Nice bayside view, great service and fantastic food. I had the Gran Marnier Coconut infused French Toast (with shredded coconut) - it really was as good as it sounds! My husband was alto very happy with his breakfast - the Meat Omelette which was huge (4 eggs) and stuffed with ham, sausage and bacon AND the Crab Lump Bloody Mary (also as good as it sounds). We also ordered an egg dish to go (can't remember the name) - scrambled eggs on top of home fries and topped with several cheeses and a big scoop of crab. Although, our check was pretty high ($70 for 2 plus 1 takeout order. , they are very generous with portions. I will definitely be back!

Pleasantly surprised. Turned down a back road to explore and stumbled across an absolute gem! Shrimp are JUMBO. Crab bisque soup is to die for. And crab cakes... We'll, that's their specialty! And $2 wine for happy hour. Loved it! Plus a view of the bay and great jams.

They might have some of the best french fries and good crab cakes, but when 2 orders of chicken tenders, extra order of fries and2 sodas with tip cost just over $40.00 dollars not to mention a bartender that knew everything about everything and everyone else was wrong, that's when I have to say that's the last time. as a local who lives here in FI there are much better places with better prices anywhere else but here. parking sucks, if you can find a parking spot.

Love the ccf on 120 and was so excited to check out the new location . Regrettably , we were ignored by every staff member. 15 minutes at the bar was way too long with 3 bartenders that were not that busy . Not a smile or eye contact. A surprisingly bad experience. Thank goodness we were near smitty McGee s where we were greeted with a smile and excellent service. Never going there again

Food is okay, view is gorgeous but parking and accommodations are TERRIBLE-- people end up parking on grass with their cars tilting sideways.

Upon walking in, the exuberant hostesss joked with us and made us feel at home. Great bloody mary's. Order w crab or bacon. Nice spice level. The Caesar salad w crab cake was awesome. Crab cake was very meaty. Little filler. And it was nice to watch the snowy egrets w the provided binoculars.

Fantastic views, great happy hour and the food is very good. The bartenders are super friendly and the bloody Mary's are really popular, I haven't tried one yet but everyone says they are incredible. Obviously the crabcakes are the star of the show and they are amazing. Tons of jumbo lump meat and very flavorful. Good portion sizes as well. However, the atmosphere is what keeps me from giving it 5 stars. The dining room is in the same area as the bar and it's so loud at times you almost have to shout your order to the server. Even our waitress was complaining about the noise! Unfortunately the high ceilings and the layout amplify the noise level. With that said, if you're looking for a quieter meal, request an outside table. It really is a beautiful view, especially at sunset. P.S. I know a lot of people complain about the parking (and it is very limited) but I can't knock off any points because I know they are expanding the lot soon.

Went there last Friday with friends, we all got fish tacos and a few drinks. The tacos were so good .Chase and Kelly at the bar were very friendly.we all will go back again.

My family and I visited this restaurant on our vacation. It was not a pleasant experience. It started when the parking attendant was very rude to my brother and his wife. We entered as a party of seven. We were seated immediately upstairs. Beautiful view. Our server came about 5+ minutes after we were seated. We placed out beverage order. We asked at that time if the crab cakes contained any dairy product dye to an allergy. She did not know she said she would find out. After about 5-8 minutes she returned with the partial beverage order. She asked if we were ready to order. We asked if the crab cakes had dairy in them? She had forgotten to find out. She huffed off and said she'd find out. She came back and said they did. We ordered. We still were missing beverages. Sodas! We reminded her that we had not gotten them. I also asked for two more silverware rolls because some of our silverware was dirty. She came back and plopped two forks on the table. We did not see her until our food was delivered by other employees. We had to ask for refills. I as a former GM in the restaurant industry was appalled by her performance. The 18% gratuity was included in our check since we were a party of seven. I can honestly say that this server did not deserve that gratuity. She made out first and last experience at this restaurant very unpleasant. This is a shame since we have a summer home at Keenwick on the Bay.

Well I can't comment on the food because we never got seated! First of all, their setup is terrible unless you're looking for a loud bar scene. I was with my grandmother so we were not. They barely have any tables in the quiet dining section, including an entire area they're not using (for no good reason). When we asked how long the wait would be, the hostess said (very confidently) 15 minutes. We were hungry but willing to stay for a short wait. Well, after waiting for 30 minutes, we headed back to the hostess stand to find a new guy standing in. He looked more like a bouncer than a hostess (both in appearance and personality) and he had some serious attitude with zero customer service skills. He gave us quite possibly the most sarcastic "sorry" I've ever heard and when I told him we weren't happy, he responded with a snarky "well, we're not for everyone!" And another employee kindly reminded us that we didn't need to stay. Appalled at this point, we obviously left. And as a family who's lived in Fenwick for 30 years, we'll be sure to share our experience with all of our friends and neighbors!

This was our first visit to the recently-opened Crabcake Factory Bayside in Fenwick Island. First the good. The service was excellent, friendly, welcoming and attentive. The not-so-good was the food. The crab nachos were flavorful, but there was a sparsity of crab meat for a $16 appetizer. Three of our party got the crab cakes, and all commented they were good, but not outstanding as we have come to expect from the original Crabcake Factory in Ocean City. I had the gumbo. Frankly, it was poor. It tasted as if it had been in a pot on the stove for a very long time and the consistency was almost paste-like. It was chock-full of sausage that was very over-cooked, with only a small piece of an unidentified type of fish and half a shrimp included. The prices were higher than I expected (ie- $6 for a local IPA draft, $6 for a cup of gumbo, $16 for crab nachos). One would have thought that a recently-opened restaurant, on a cold, off-season Sunday night in February, would have been offering some discounted specials to warm customers to their establishment. That was not the case.

To the reviewers before me ... this is the 5th restaurant at this location in the 7 years we've lived in Fenwick. They opened in February because of issues transferring the liquor license. And every new restaurant has a "soft opening." They were only open on the weekends and just this week opened everyday. Working out the kinks. That being said ... this place is AWESOME! Terrific job remodeling the inside and you can't beat the view. The food is excellent and our server was great. There were plenty of specials. The crabcakes had no fillers and were loaded with jumbo lump crabmeat. Excellent. The fish tacos (at $2 on Wednesday!!) were the best everyone at our table had ever ordered anywhere. Happy Hour prices on drinks and appetizers (most $5) from 3-6 weekdays even at tables near the bar ... $2.50 for a glass of wine! We are thrilled to have Crabcake Factory down the road!! We intend to visit often and try everything on the menu. And look forward to warm evenings and watching the sun set from the deck. Congratulations Crabcake Factory Bayside!

Apparently we came on the 6th day this location opened. February seems like an odd time to open a new restaurant at Fenwick, so like David B. I was surprised there were no specials. The menu is the same as the one at Ocean City, and to their credit the quality of their crab is superior to most other places I have been. Service was great and the crab nachos were better than the ones we had last time in Ocean City, although I still think they should use freshly melted shredded cheese instead of the processed nacho cheese. The crab and pico de gallo are too delicate to be smothered in that stuff. Crabcake and sides were good but I'm subtracting another point for the dirty bathroom ... they've been open for only 6 days and the sink and toilet were grossly discolored. It looked like they didn't even clean it before the grand opening. Hopefully this place will have their act together when the weather gets warmer, because the location is right on the water and I'm anticipating some pretty spectacular views from the deck and the inside.

First time here at the Crab cake Factory USA. Wow, service was absolutely terrible. Crab cake is okay. Wings were frozen out of a bag. Frozen veggies, pretty much TERRIBLE!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

Our 2nd time here and just as pleased this time! Great shrimp and salads...views of the inlet...great atmosphere....fair prices and good wait-staff...

I was a bit disappointed that at 4 the bar area was packed so I wouldn't be able to take advantage of the happy hour specials. My husband and I were seated at a table on the deck overlooking the bay and the view was fantastic! When I asked about beers on draft the waitress handed me her list which I appreciate since I hate hearing the list and then having to decide. I ordered the crabcake sandwich ($14) and it was fantastic!! I like to just eat the crabcake but the bun was so good I had to eat that too. Their chips are crispy and seasoned and tasted great dipped in the sauce they brought to go with the crabcake. No complaints here just know if you want to sit in the limited bar area to take advantage of drinks and food happy hour that is from 3 to 6 you should get there earlier than 4.

Stopped by at 7:35 am for their advertised breakfast and they weren't open. Not everyone sleeps late. If you are going to serve breakfast and advertise it Open Early.

Absolutely my favorite restaurant on this trip and we ate out all 7 days we were there. The breakfast menu is fantastic with excellent food to match. Had a great server named Audrey who took good care of us; had the crab benedict and it was loaded with jumbo lump crab meat. The other breakfasts that were served to the rest of our party were wonderful too. We came for dinner on another night and although this is not the biggest crab cake I ever had it was one of the best tasting. Great hand cut fries. Go early or late to avoid the rush.

We ate here today with family, we came for the happy hour specials the bar area was crowded and loud so we opted to sit outside but were not informed that we couldn't get the happy hour food prices. So we said no problem ordered our meals and noticed a second outside section, when we asked our waitress if we could have gotten the happy hour prices on that side she said of course we could have ?? We were like why didn't you tell us this when we first got here and she just walked away ?? The food was also over cooked, the only great service we got was the parking lot attendant that helped us find a spot at this crowded establishment.
(2)Jackie K.
My family came here a couple of times over the course of our trip because the prices are reasonable and the views are great. (It was also on our way home one day). The food is fine except the crab nachos--those were really bad. Servers were nice but hosts and bartenders were not. The food we did like was the crabcake sandwiches and fries were good. The crabcake bloody mary was good -- spicy.
(3)Kellee C.
The crabcake that they ship around the country .... Is fishy ! Someone I was with had to send it back !!! I ordered the po'boy battered shrimp which would I been a good sandwich but the roll was previously frozen and was tough and that couldn't even bite it. It was like a rubber band . The Side salad that I ordered as a appetizer was in a bowl that my toddler son would eat a snack out of . We won't be back !
(2)Kate C.
Our food was amazing and equal to the gorgeous view. Our server anticipated our needs and was very accommodating to my eight year old. (We sat upstairs on a little deck...she had long blonde hair and was very sweet and excellent). She even alerted us to the breathtaking sunset and told us to look. :) I am definitely coming back.
