This is a great place to grab breakfast if you aren't concerned about taste! The hash browns weren't cooked properly! My crispy turkey came out like show leather! My bfs pancakes were rubbery! How in the hell does that happen? The coffee was hot, and fresh! There were a ton of employees around not super friendly! Odd

While visiting Rehoboth Beach, I stayed at the Brighton Suites and Sammy's Kitchen and it was great! The cook (I was told) has been at the location for 18 years so it must be good I thought... And was right. I had the Gyro Omelet and while that was excellent, I think I had the best hash browns ever.. In ALL of TIME. :-) The staff was very fast & friendly, prices reasonable, the seats were comfortable and the whole place was very clean. I think I'll be eating here for the next few days. Thanks Sammy!!

Solid breakfast spot. To be fair, we have never visited Sammy's for anything other than Breakfast. For all I know, the lunch and or dinner food is stellar. But since I have only eaten breakfast. Expect 3 egg omelets with a variety of toppings, pancakes, french toast and the like. It's preppared fine, but nothing that will leave you raving about the place

We passed this place several times and I decided to give it a try and order lunch from them. Let me tell you something, what a disappointment that was. We ordered a fajita salad and a crabcake sandwich. While I honestly can't say anything bad about the food, I have never seen smaller portions. My salad barely covered the bottom of the container and there were a few microscopic pieces of chicken. I just couldn't believe it how small it was when I opened the container. My wife's sandwich was also the size of kids meal. I'm not sure if they serve bigger portions when you dine there, but I'm not planning to experiment.

Diner food. If its fried they've got it on the menu. Breakfast is probably their strong point. Service is good when they're not busy, but the foreign wait staff can be a bit unfriendly. Don't need to come back.

Sammy's Kitchen is located a few blocks off the main strip in Rehoboth. This little diner is open 24 hours a day, all year round, making it a great choice whatever your schedule. They have lots of menu items, but they specialize in breakfast and that is what we were there for. My wife ordered traditional breakfast items, but I was in the mood to try their crepes (with a side of bacon.) The crepes are rather thick, almost pancakes, but they are stuffed with a three-cheese blend including cottage cheese. They had a very interesting texture and flavor, not too sweet and going very nicely with the (optional) fresh strawberries sprinkled on top. The bacon was cooked perfectly, crispy without being overdone. If I spent a week in Rehoboth, I could see going here every day.

This places doesn't even get a star. We came here during the plunge weekend so I expected a long wait. However I didn't expect to be skipped for other parties several times. What was said to be a 10 minutes wait became a 30 minute one. We had a party of 7 and they seated us at a table for 6. Asked for another chair and had to find one myself. The silverware on the table was set for 5. Once again we had a party of 7. We had to grab our own silverware from buckets to even mix our coffee. Which after being seated we waited for 15 minutes before anyone came to get our drink orders. Food came out on hot plate but the food was cold. Bacon was AWFUL! How do you even mess up bacon. Coffee was watered down. And the waffles was hard like a brick. We will not be returning to this place ever again. I really would like to speak with the owner or manager but because they clearly do not care about service or their food my time would be wasted.

Service is a nightmare, food is sub par, be prepared to wait a good hour for your food. Would not recommend...

We took out club sandwiches and they were excellent. Numerous gluten free options including sandwiches - also good quality. Liked it so much for lunch we picked more up the next day. Turkey club was typically processed turkey, but grilled chicken club was well seasoned white meat chicken. Good quality and well cooked bacon. Very pleasant employees. Only negative -tough to park in this area and they don't have a pick up zone parking spot or curb service.

Excellent excellent excellent!!!!! The food was great! All freshly made. The staff were helpful and host about food flavors. Prices are decent given it's in the heart of a tourist area. U see why they have been around so long! I even bought a t-shirt

We were fans in the past, quick simple basic breakfast but the used condom in their window that they refused to clean up and said its been sitting there since last week can definitely change your opinion. Their excuse was they don't own the place, the hotel next door does, but you are the current tenant and have been for at least 6 years, buy some gloves and clean up your store front, in my opinion that is your responsibility as a business owner. My opinion is if you won't keep your store front clean (and bathrooms included, but I didn't see these bathrooms) and people see those, what does your kitchen look like that people don't see. Needless to say I got breakfast somewhere else.

Great find. They are open 24 hours. Don't forget to try their Benedict's breakfast. I tried the crab cake Benedict and it was awesome! Place is clean and has a homey diner feel. Oh and most diners have burnt coffee right? Well this place served us freshly brewed coffee. +++

Dingy diner with really mediocre food. This is the beach. I'm either making my own breakfast, grabbing it free at the hotel, or going somewhere nice. There's no reason to eat at a dive like this. As for lunch, this place comes the closest of any place I've ever seen to making falafel bad. Falafel is almost impossible to screw up. Also, it's a noisy place with a mix of douche-y collegiates and bratty kids for clientele. No reason I would recommend eating here.
(1)Danielle B.
Ordered scramble eggs, bacon and crispy hash browns. Bacon was ok, eggs edible but skimpy on portion and hash browns soggy drenched in vegetable oil and undercooked. Server was great, food terrible.

Ordered 2 chicken cutlet sandwiches with bacon in here last night. The sandwiches were tasty but the piece of grilled chicken was the smallest I have ever been served in my life. I have a 12 lb dog and would have given her a bigger piece of chicken. And this bitch right here is not 12 lbs, so yeah. My husband's sandwich had the exact same portion of chicken so it's not an accident. I attached a pic - for a frame of reference, the bun was about the size of a Big Mac bun. The fries were limp. The server was nice. 2 chicken cutlet sandwiches with a soda was $18, so prices are reasonable. This place is 24 hours, so maybe they serve up these mini chicken sandwiches to the drunks?
(2)S M.
Chicken Parm was ok, Tuna steak ok... The rest was blend and some borderline yucky! Avoid for dinner if you can.
(2)I Want To Be Sad D.
Meh sums it up for breakfast. You can do better. Try Royal Treat (although Royal Treat usually has a line, which shows the market is working). Sausage was good. Rest was mostly average.
(2)Yvonne A.
I cant believe I had to walk out of this place. Sat down, ordered meals and drinks. Took forever to get drinks. The two couples around us finished thier meals ( very unhappy) and left. Down sat three more couples AFTER we had already placed our order. The three other couples recieved thier drinks and food and we were still waiting. ITS BREAKFAST FOOD NOT ROCKET SCIENCE. When I confronted the waitress she laughed at me. Hummm wont be back there during any of our family vacations.

Great local diner. If you want a nice little sit down breakfast, coffee pot of table, food cooked and served quickly and good service this is a place to try. We went there 2 days in a row and Sammy remembered us and told us he was glad we came back again.
(5)Erin B.
Sammy's is one of the best eating locations in Rehoboth for breakfast. Their prices are good and they are open 24/7 which is something I haven't benefitted from, but I'm sure someone will. I always get their eggs and they are always delicious. I've never had to send them back or anything. Their pancakes are also delicious and home made. I caution you that you may need to listen closely to your waiter or waitress because they are all foreign and can be hard to understand, but they are still very friendly and helpful.
(4)Bill D.
We consistently get great service here, whether it's the two of us or a group. Even with my diet issues, I can easily order a healthy meal and they'll keep my beloved coffee coming! Everything is served hot. I've never sent anything back. We usually get the same server, oddly, and she has the best timing. No, honestly - they aren't going to encourage you to linger. They need to flip the tables. So, move along.
(4)Kirstie L.
This place has pretty decent food... I've been here a few times now. Today I had the biscuits and gravy. It was good but not super authentic. Pancakes were good as well. The coffee was typical diner coffee. I like the fact that the whole place is booth seating.... But the service is what holds this place back. I watched as our waiter stood by the kitchen and laughed at YouTube videos with his coworkers before even attempting to come take our order. My fiancé actually had to get his attention.... But eh for $20, not bad.
(3)Paul P.
If you like pancakes that taste like a hard piece of cardboard box and are as dry as the Sahara Desert, with fake watery maple syrup, you'd love this place. It's horrible.
(2)Tyler N.
This place is good and it hits the spot...but it's not great. I had a bacon omelet with pancakes. The omelet was okay and the pancakes were good. This place is cheap and it's open year round, which is cool. I'd return but not after trying somewhere else.
(3)Ted M.
Had a great late dinner at Sammy's Restaurant last night. Party of Six. This place is amazing. The waiter was very friendly and paid special attention to make sure we had a great dinner. The food was awesome and the menu is very diverse. If you are in Rehoboth Beach you need to check it out you will will not be disappointed. Price is right and the food taste great what else can you ask for???

This is place is nothing to brag about. We decided to eat here for breakfast on our last day in Rehoboth Beach. I ordered buttermilk pancakes (topped with strawberries) with egg whites and turkey bacon. My wife ordered the french toast combo, which comes with two strips of bacon, sausage, and two eggs any style. The pancakes were fine. My egg whites were what I expected. What shocked me was the turkey bacon. It looked like dog treats. It was incredibly thin and tough. I should have sent it back and asked for turkey sausage instead, but I just dealt with it. This place isn't terrible, but it is an option for breakfast if you're looking for a fairly priced place to eat while your vacationing in Rehoboth. Also, if you have children under the age of 12, they get to eat free between 3:00pm and 9:00pm.

Since it is off season, there are not to many breakfast places open on a Monday and within walking distance on my hotel. That is my caveat. The coffee was weak. I paid 99 cents more for Egg Beaters and had the "Fast Breakfast". The 1 sausage was extra greasy. The 2 strips of bacon , 2 slices of wheat toast and potatoes were okay. I was surprised that the hash browns were not greasy or salty so I ate half of them. My bill was $10.07. I will find someplace else to eat Tuesday morning even if I have to drive. Get the coffee right, at least.
(2)Anna K.
A nice little diner with a HUGE kid's menu and friendly service.
(3)David R.
Wildly popular for breakfast. The food is good and reasonably priced. the service is good too. Open year round.
(4)Jared J.
I've been visiting Rehoboth Beach for more than twenty years, and I always make sure to stop by Sammy's when I'm down. For breakfast, Sammy's must be the best in the 19971. Would you rather wait an hour for breakfast down at one of the bars in Dewey, or get a fast, relatively cheap, meal one block from the beach? People need to remember that it is a simple beach diner, not a posh New York City restaurant.
(5)Gail S.
Fast service. This is the only restaurant I've been to where the waffle with fruit comes with real, fresh strawberries, not some nasty strawberry-like goo. Yum! Also has large kids' menu.
(4)David C.
Every trip to Rehoboth, we visit Sammy's for breakfast. This place never disappoints for Breakfast - large omelets and good, fast service. Prices are good too. I recommend for Breakfast.
(4)Steven T.
We had breakfast today and ordered egg Benedict with sausage however the sausage was COLD and the hollandaise was WATERY !! YUK
(1)Kathy O.
I like that you can get pancakes instead of home fries . They have three different syrups. The waitresses were cute and the atmosphere nice. They put a pot of coffee on your table so you always have coffee at your fingertips!
(5)Brian C.
It's really more of a 2.5. A real typical beach diner but I didn't like how it was overpriced and that the portions were small. There are good "bad diners" and then there really are completely unimpressive diners. I wouldn't have eaten here if other places had been open for the lunch hour. The missus ordered a half a turkey breast sandwich with salad and I got the tuna steak sandwich. Her salad could have been a ziploc bag salad from the grocery store and the sandwich was low budget grade lunch meat. My tuna steak was solid but overcooked to the max. I doubt it was fresh, or if it was, it was so overcooked I couldn't really tell. However, the servers were all very nice and the live birds were interesting (that's the extra 0.5).
(2)Shannon M.
I had the lump crab omelet, which was pretty good. My husband had a basic three egg breakfast, which he thought was mediocre - he didn't care for the sausage that came with it. They're open 24 hours, so that is a big selling point. Also, the service was good.
(3)Douglas D.
This place was just down the street were my family staying while vacationing. Basic breakfast - nothing special. It does have a good location. If you want a no thrills breakfast and you don't want to wait on line to get into a place this is it.
(1)Jay E.
Breakfast is definitely not just the "basics". The menu includes Eggs Benedict, Fruit and cheese blintzes, chicken fried steak or chicken, crab omelettes (and every other kind), pancakes, Belgian waffles, eggs any style, hash browns, scrapple and so on. The staff is very friendly (and very cute). I've never had chicken fried chicken (with three eggs and buttermilk pancakes) but it was great at $8.99. My wife had a Western egg white omelette with pancakes and that was very good as well. Coffee was very good with endless refills. The place was modern, clean, and nicely decorated. All in all, this was as good as a beach place gets. However, I would have awarded extra points for real maple syrup and real butter instead of "buttery spread".
(4)Deanna J.
Open 24/7, gets busy at breakfast. My husband and I ate here twice for breakfast, and both times we really enjoyed the food. He had the seafood omelet and banana pecan Belgium waffles, and I had the spinach & cheese and vegetarian omelet; everything really good and the latter I loved! Nice servers, funky place with live birds.
(4)Matthew A.
Ordered eggs and pancakes. They were good. The chocolate milk was only 2% (that was the only option) but it was still good.
(4)Natalie F.
Incredibly mediocre breakfast, typical bad diner food. The service was OK, and one thing that really turned me off was the waitresses clothes looked really dirty and stained (almost like she had worn that shirt everyday for that week and just hadn't bothered to change or do laundry) It's the little things that make a place look dirty and undesirable. Go down two blocks to Corner Grille Resteraunt for a quality breakfast with EXCELLENT service!
(2)Mark B.
There are a lot of great restaurants in Rehoboth Beach. Unfortunately this is not one of them. The people are nice enough and the service was pretty good but the food looks and tastes prepackaged. It's just bad. The blaring TVs did not add any ambiance. Avoid at all cost.

The restaurant I felt wanted to be closed during the holidays. That's the impression one received from the actions of the staff during our visit. The breakfast was anything other than awe inspiring from it's presentation to its taste. There is another restaurant on Wilmington Avenue on the opposite corner that I'd be going to the next time I'm in Rehoboth for breakfast..
