I don't know why I do this to myself. I really don't. It's not like there aren't other sub-par chain alternatives out there. I could have done TGI Fridays. Just as repulsive, but a little closer to my house. I could have done The Olive Garden. Again, just as repulsive, but with a little more care taken in the final product. But this meal wasn't for me. It was for two friends whom I hadn't seen in several years. They like the joint and I was just kind of tagging along. I obliged happily, perused the on-line menu before hand, and figured I'd make the best of it. Ruby Tuesday's has gotten a fair amount of press of late for the apparent "upscaling" of its menu. Well you can take the girl out of the trailer, but you can't take the trailer out of the girl. It doesn't matter how much lobster you put into something as homey and mac & cheese. If some basic cooking fundamentals aren't there, then it's still cardboard a la cheese. But I digress. My friends and I gathered on a Saturday night and expected a crowd. Well, perhaps Ruby Tuesday's just ain't the hip thing anymore; the restaurant was only about a quarter full. My friends and I were seated in a too-small booth. Since none of us is terribly large, we think this may have been a two-person booth. We were greeted promptly by a very kind and cheerful young waitress who took our drink orders. We perused the menu and placed our order when she returned. She took our appetizer and main entree orders at the same time. I'm normally reluctant to do this because -- as would be confirmed later -- I find restaurants often rush out the mains after serving the apps just minutes before -- a HUGE no-no in my mind. We each ordered the salad bar with our meals and decided to head up. Honestly, this was the best part of the meal. The vegetables weren't perfect, but they were discernible foodstuffs. And, it was actually a pretty tasty salad. We each agreed this was our favorite part. The waitress brought our appetizer -- guacamole -- and I gave it one look and knew it wasn't going to be good. There were big chunks of all sorts of stuff in there. Tomato, jalapeno, onion. This was definitely not a "normal" guacamole. Also not normal was the excessive amount of heat provided by the jalapenos. The avocado had little -- if any -- flavor and I almost wonder how Ruby Tuesday's prepares this dish and if it's even real avocado. The presentation was messy, as well. Sorry, but serving something goopy like guacamole in a lettuce leaf is unacceptable. A good deep bowl is what's called for when it comes to guac! The chips and accompanying salsa were no good, as well. The salsa, in particular, lacked flavor and a good bit of salt. Disappointingly, a few minutes after receiving the guac, our entrees arrived. Simply put: How annoying! Ugh...but whatever. This meal wasn't designed to impress. For my main, I ordered the turkey burger minis. Instead of fries, I opted for a side of broccoli. What a disappointment. The burgers were lifeless and flavorless. I swear the only reason I didn't put down the burgers was because my body required a good amount of protein after a workout an hour earlier. I literally needed to shove those burgers down my throat so I would get the protein I so richly needed. The broccoli I substituted wasn't necessarily bad -- it's just it looked a mess! There were about five tiny florets scattered messily around the plate as if no one in the kitchen had taken any care with presentation. My friend ordered the 7-oz. sirloin medium well. It looked like it came out medium. She also ordered the mashed potatoes and broccoli. After one bite of the potatoes, she could eat no more. I tasted them and something was definitely off. Almost like they poured a whole canister of MSG in them -- there was definitely a taste about them. My other friend ordered some wings and mashed cauliflower. The mashed cauliflower went uneaten after one bite; the wings were greedily devoured. Unimpressed, we decided against ordering dessert; we went out into the mall and walked a bit to the nearby gelato stand in the food court and had a decent bowl of that Italian delicacy. Can't say I'll ever be returning to a Ruby Tuesday's. The generic, uninspired Americana cuisine they're serving doesn't make me proud to be an American at all!

We used to love this place but recently the quality has dropped quite a bit. I like their steaks over their pastas (overcooked) and seafood. The salad bar is not what it used to be. I hope the can turn this downward trend around.

Average Ruby Tuesday. Same salad bar and menu as other ones. Had the Asian Glazed Salmon which was good but could have used some more glaze or sauce but overall it was good. White cheddar mash potatoes are amazing, light, creamy and cheesy. Staff is ok. Nothing more than your average Ruby Tuesday

This place has set a new low record for chain restaurants. Waitress was 100% attentive and friendly but wished food was equally as good. The appetizer was the southern style buffalo chicken tender , this dish was extremely salty, the cook probably killed the salt dealer . Don't bother getting cocktails from here, they are literally fruit juices selling at a cocktail price. As for the entree , they were below mediocre, even for a chain restaurant expectation. We had the trio and steak &lobster, the lobster tails were not fresh at all . Everything tasted like they were taken out of the microwave . We end up leaving with plates and drinks full.

Worst experience ever last week, there was about 3 people in the restaurant and they sit us near the kitchen with all this banging and loud noise. They brought out my kids "mac and cheese" first and it was ICE COLD!!!! Like they put it in the microwave for like 2 seconds and took it out. The girl had an attitude I was just so over that place. They will NEVER get my business again. Disgusted

This place has really gone down hill. Came in at 4pm, only a few people seated. There was a larger group towards the back (which after further review, seemed to be all employees.) We stood at the hostess stand for 10 minutes before a girl stood up from the large group in the back and welcomed us. Once seated our waitress took our drink order and dropped off some waters. One of our glasses had what appeared to be 'food flakes' floating around. By now, I had completely shut down and started really noticing how terrible this place was in comparison to the other restaurants in the mall. A few tables near by remained unclear from the previous people prior to us sitting down. The salad bar was picked over and looked as though it hasn't been filled since they opened for the day. The husbands fries were cold and tasted like the were reheated from the previous day. The waitress came back multiple times to apologize for being out of stuff. I ordered the same drink twice.. Looked/tasted different both. The really sad part is their pot stickers are yummo. Ugh. To make the matters worst the table directly behinds us was having a similar experience. I watched them send back two plates. At the end of the day, head to Brio.

I don't know if this particular Ruby Tuesday was just short staff the day before Christmas. I did not like the fact that the staffs were scattered around and hard to get their attention. Fortunately, I think the girl who served our table saved that bad impression. I also did not like the garden salad bar is near the entrance and the bar. I saw people talking, standing near the food. I feel that that is not good sign of food safety. Having the garden salad bar badly located where customers are blocking it because it's near the bar and entrance is not particularly attractive to me. Putting it in highly traffic aisle make the food suspiciously not safe to eat.

This Ruby Tuesday is in the Christiana Mall but sits right at a mall entrance so you don't actually have to traverse the mall to get there. It's a chain restaurant so I could just as well copy and paste a review since I didn't notice anything particularly untoward here. However, I'd recommend just having the salad bar and not ordering anything else too fancy because the salad bar is the only reason I go there anyway.
