Call ahead for your order. The inside is so very tiny and not much room to wait. The crab bisque is okay, not the best I've ever had, but still very well made. I have gotten the hot beef on a roll 3 times and 2 of the three were different from the first. Strange, yes. Maybe the home cooked beef is different than the regular roast beef? Couldn't tell ya, but they were all full of flavor. As a non-pork eater, I can only take others' words that the pork & italian were just as tasty.

They have some of the best subs around this area. The crab bisque is awesome, even though this trip there was a lot of shells in mine. Great place over all!

Their crab bisque is absolutely to die for. It's made with real crab meat, it's creamy, and totally wonderful. And their sandwiches are amazing- I love their BLTs. This shop is as good as it gets.

The Crab bisque by far is the best I've ever had. However the sandwiches on the other hand, depending on who makes it are subpar. I'm under the impression they get summer help from some local kids to make the sandwiches and they are never consistent. Veggies then the meat on top on a hoagie??? Must be a Delaware thing.

Here are some items I've ordered and LOVED (I eat lunch here about 3 days a week): The Powerhouse on Sunflower seed bread.. AMAZING. I cry when they are out of sunflower seed bread... But then I order... Chicken Salad.. And everything is okay again because it's absolutely delicious on either bread or salad. I usually order the salad with honey mustard dressing. Crab Bisque.. It's heavenly.. seriously.. You will not regret ordering this. If you do, you either don't like crab, you're diary intolerant, or you're flat out insane. Crab cake sandwich or salad.. Both are delicious. The Gouda Buddha.. OMG.. Try it now... SO SO GOOD. It tastes like thanksgiving.. But way better. Basically the only thing on the menu I've tried that I didn't LOVE was the grilled chicken/red pepper wrap, but im pretty sure it was because I let it sit for about 30 minutes and it got mushy. I'd still order it again, but I'd consume it immediately. Hope this helps you order.. You definitely won't regret it.

This is hands down the best hidden gem in Newark, DE. I found out about this place a long time ago while a student at the university of Delaware. For the rest of my time there, I was here all the time. The chicken salad is absolutely great. I highly recommend the chicken salad clubs or subs. I am also a big fan of the turkey club and the sante fe turkey club with pesto. Both are fantastic sandwiches. All the wraps and subs I have tried have been great as well. Dont sleep on the soups either, the crab bisque and maryland crab have been spot on every time I have tried them. If you are a University of Delaware student or just happen to be in newark, you need to give this place a try. I miss this place so much now that I am not in town.

Everything is great! The Crab bisque is amazing. The subs and salads are always so fresh. Only disappointment is it closes early on Saturdays and isn't open on Sunday's. If you haven't tried this place you need to!

Very good crab cakes! Not the best I've ever had, but still enjoyable. Apparently this place is famous for its crab bisque, but I honestly was not impressed with it. It was wayyy too salty, didn't have much crabmeat, and tasted...mass-produced. *shrug* Service was fast and friendly. Prices are reasonable. I will be back to try their other sandwiches.

Moved to the area almost a year ago and was told "THIS" is the place to go to for sandwiches and subs and the crab bisque was a must order .... To be totally honest the crab bisque was just OK. Not very much crab at all, saw some claw meat in my container. Maybe living on Kent Island Maryland for 17 years I was spoiled with this type of food. There Italian sub was no better or worse than any other small sub shop or even a Wawa.Nutter's Sub meats are pre-sliced. Many Subs Shops in the area still slice their meats at order for a fresher taste .

Their crab bisque is absolutely incredible. The chicken salad sandwich is a favorite of ours too. You will always get fast friendly service here. Join the lunch club, free food after your ninth trip ($7 value).

I just had lunch for the first time at "Nutter's" I had the crab bisque and the grilled garlic gobbler, both were very tasty. The prices are also very great. If you were to buy an entire sandwich and a large portion of soup it would cost double at any of the places on main st. I will definately be back.
