My date was Vietnamese & we found this place on Yelp traveling home from a day on the eastern shore! The food was superb and everything was fresh! She told me it was a better Vietnamese restaurant than the ones In the area we live in the western suburbs of Philadelphia! We will be back there!

I am not from the area and was craving pho. I thought i found a gem (yelp failed me ) but the pho was so incredibly bad that i had to yelp it. I am sad to give it this rating. The owner is so nice and sweet i almost feel guilty for yelping but no the pho... omg the pho... how can you insult such a wonderful dish with that disgrace? I am pretty damn sure its packaged pho. It sure tasted like it.

Very good pho! Affordable and clean. Everything was fresh and made to order. Best summer roll I've had. They have a wide beer and wine selection. I drank every last drop of broth which I've never done before. Enjoy!

In delaware im always craving pho as i would when im in philly, where im originally from. So went pho hunting. I have visited pho vu, pho cali, and now here. At first glance it was a medium lite setting with open layout. The service was introduced as slow and the menu seemed somewat appetizing. I was with a group of 2 others. A very broad menu. But of course we came for pho. Finally we ordered with some optimistic expectations. But we were disappointed with reheated broth from the fridge. Low quality beef. But quantity was ok. Average cheap pho in a ver remote area. I will stick with another restaurant next time we crave pho

Affordable, pleasant, and the pho was delicious. The beef wasn't my cup of tea but next time I'll try the chicken.

Went here for lunch. I ordered the beef pho, arguably THE national dish of Vietnam. It was clear what I got was reheated, off tasting broth with previously frozen beef that had a very odd texture (perhaps freezer burned). Very disappointing. I have had Pho at many places and sampled many styles, but this was just not enjoyable to put it kindly. Maybe other dishes here are okay, but not the Pho. I also tried steamed dumplings; they were overloaded with chunks (not minced) of garlic. Two dumplings yielded about a clove and half of garlic chunks that I picked out to make the dumplings edible. It was just overpowering and I cook with garlic a lot.

A somewhat off the beaten track gem. This time I had the cold shrimp and pork roll with peanut sauce to start and the beef with red curry to follow. But I've eaten here many times and have yet to have a bad meal. This is a lot better food than any other Vietnamese in the area and I've looked! It is often quiet - I think takeout is what keeps them afloat as they do a fairly decent trade in that even when the dining room seems quiet. I certainly hope they stick around - they rate as one of my top 3 restaurants in the area of any kind. Give them a try - you won't regret it.

This place was great. Flavorful Vietnamese food that I thought could only be found in a city. We had the red curry beef, which was spicy but oh so tasty, and the pork and shrimp cold spring roll that had just a kick of basil that complimented the whole appetizer. We even ended up putting extra rice into the sauce just so we could eat it! I had the spring roll vermicelli which was to die for. Would HIGHLY recommend it and we will be back!!

I have no idea how this place has stayed in business this long. It is downright hidden, I've lived in Delaware for more than a decade and would be hard pressed to give a traveler directions. Their hours are odd (closed some days, open late afternoon others..) and every time i have been here there are no other customers during my entire stay. With that said- this is how it stays in business: the food is amazing (i recommend the duck), the tea is piping hot and flavorful, the options are plentiful, and the prices are very reasonable. GO! its a great experience and great food.

Great Vietnamese restaurant in a hidden but easy to access location! This restaurant is close to Christiana Hospital and I was in the mood for Pho. I was not disappointed. The owner/server was very friendly and made good suggestions. We each had the traditional beef Pho as well as the summer rolls. The Pho broth was delicious and flavorful and the beef was tender. The Chrysanthemum tea was also tasty. Service was friendly and speedy. We look forward to returning! The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it's definitely worth a visit!

This place was an excellent choice for Vietnamese food in the Newark area. All of us ordered the pho with a spring roll appetizer. The soup and spring rolls were fresh and tasty. There were 5 people in the restaurant of which 3 were our party. Not sure how they stay in business but it certainly wasn't for lack of great food. The only disappointment was they do not offer a Vietnamese crepe which is a staple at most other restaurants. Other than that, it's a winner.

A surprise worth searching for! After carefully following my GPS and learning it is not hard to find this place, I was rewarded with an excellent meal. The starter was shrimp rolls, made with the very thin and translucent rice paper. The rolls were freshly wrapped and very dense with good stuff. The hot and sour shrimp soup was right-on. Good spice, good shrimp (not frozen and thawed). The corn pudding for dessert was warm and tasty. Despite looking bare-bones from the outside (stark building and gravel lot), the inside is pleasantly decorated and very comfortable (table clothes, glass-topped tables, flowers). The husband and wife team (waitress/hostess and chef, respectively) are very welcoming. Put the address into your GPS and enjoy!

I don't understand how this place has such a high rating. When we came in, there was no one else in the restaurant. There was only one hostess/waitress, who was incredibly rude, and very brusque throughout our exchange with her. After we put in our order, she stood at the bar and commenced glowering at us, as if we were putting her at a disservice by eating there. Later, an older couple dined at the restaurant (they were obviously regulars), and the waitress abruptly brightened and gave them such amazing service, me and my compadre were SHOCKED. However, the food is just okay. I've had much better Vietnamese food. The shrimp rolls were a lot better than our entree, but very standard (lacking in flavor and flies landed in our peanut sauce). We had the chicken pho, which had a weird broth (maybe too much fish sauce), and had more basil leaves than noodles. I would definitely not come back again.

This is a lovely place. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. It's too bad they're not in a more heavily-traveled location. My honey had the pineapple lychee duck and said it was one of the best he's had. The chicken skewer appetizer was delicious. The Summer rolls were okay. My soup was satisfying. The owner-wife was sweet and chatted us up.

Pho restaurants are pretty scarce in Delaware which is hard for a Californian.... Anyway, so far this has been the best as far as Delaware and glad I found it on yelp. The pho is as close to the authentic pho I am used to eating back in San Diego, CA and Austin, TX where there are plenty of Vietnamese restaurants. Fresh veggies like bean sprouts, carrots, and lime comes with the tasty soup. There are also other great food here and the crepes didn't dissapoint. The place is not big and could get cozy when packed but service is good and our food did not take very long at all. They also have the Vietnamese-French coffee with sweetened milk, which is one of my favorites. I recommend this place for those in Wilmington-Newark area if you are craving for pho.

How can there only be one review for this place? Where the heck is everyone eating, Applebee's?! Come on, Delaware, wake up! This place has been around since at least 19-freakin-97! *ahem.* Went here tonight with the beau, and we were warmly greeted by what seemed to be the owner, who was cheerfully waiting the tables. It's a smallish place, but not uncomfortable at all. The place had 6 tables full, which had the place 1/3 full, I'd say. Nobody was kept waiting for their food, and service was great. We started off with Bo Nuong La (grilled beef in grape leaves) which were super-tasty, flavorful and lovingly prepared. It was served with a tiny bit of vermicelli, pickled carrots (yum!) and fresh veggies. Really super. For entrees, admittedly I was jonesin' for pho, but the owners had just returned from vacation and they didn't have the broth ready (a good sign!). Instead, I opted for the Ga Xao Xa Ot (chicken breast sauteed with lemongrass), and the beau got Mango Chicken with Young Ginger. Both were fabulous, though I think I liked the mango chicken better for no real discernible reason. Both were prepared really well, ingredients were fresh and tasty. We were plenty full after our meals so we called it a night. We'll definitely be back to try the pho, the bun, the fresh rolls, the... well, everything. Quick service, friendly, spiffy, and a huge menu. Give them your money. (Note: This place isn't a standard "pho, bun and banh mi place." There's no banh mi on the menu at all in fact, and only one standard pho option. Just so ya know.)

This place is either a front for some money laundering enterprise or just plain unlucky. The food here is way better than the Vietnamese restaurant on Main St. but every time I've come here, I've been the only patron. I don't understand how they stay open but I hope they'll stick around for a while. The spring roll vermicelli dish is delicious and their cold spring roll wraps are refreshing dipped in peanut sauce.
