we ordered a huge take-out order for a luncheon and the pizza was really good! I was very surprised but the locals said this is the best place for it. Everything we ordered was catered and the portions were enormous

2nd time here and will be my last. I don't know if they changed cooks or what, but the food this time was not good. I ordered the chicken Alfredo and the pasta tasted and looked old, the chicken was dry. I was not able to finish my food because there was no taste. Save your money and stay away

Spaghetti and meatballs were literally all I ate as a child, I was obsessed. Ciao's is my place for Spaghetti and meatballs and I feel like a gleeful child all over again every time a heaping bowl of sketti is placed down in front of me. I'm not sure I will ever deviate from my order when I go in there, the meatballs are just too good! The Italian owner is such a sweetheart, I assume she is the owner, just love her accent :) You must always order a side of the garlic bread to go with the spaghetti. The bread is so soft and buttery and loaded w/ garlic!! FH ordered a slice of pepperoni pizza once and it was quite good as well. I love this restaurant because it's not expensive, not a chain, and most of all the food is delicious and homey. Strangely enough a New York foodie actually introduced me to this place and I'm so glad I've given it a chance because it is quintessential Italian food at its finest.

Was really excite to try PA pizza as so many of my PA friends have said pa is better than NJ, well our pizza was amazing @ ciao. A nice big pie with great crust. We ordered buffalo wing and they were a bit over fried by still tasty, overall good experience, didn't give 5 stars because restaurant was a bit understaffed

food is awesome. seating is basic, considering it's mostly a take out place. dinner portions are huge. tip well to the guys.. they put in real hard work. lunch orders are good for one person and dinner entres for 2. soup is fine.

This place is a hit or miss. Some of the best pizza and pasta and other times tasteless and watery sauce. And if you order from here please pick up your food. Their delivery is terrible. 1 out 4 deliveries are usually missing items and priced wrong

I phoned in an order for delivery and I was told my food would be delivered in 45 minutes (it was 6:15 pm). I called at 7:15 and was told my food was on its way. When it still had not arrived by 7:45 I called again, I was told it would be another 15 minutes. I told them to cancel the order -- their 45 minutes had turned into an hour and half and I couldn't be sure it would arrived before 9:00 at the rate they were going. I was told they only had one driver and delivery was backed up due to the rain. If that was indeed the case I should have been told when I called so I could have made a decision as to whether to order or not. Or a follow up phone call would have been nice to let me know what was going on. It is now 8:00 and I am having to scramble to find something to eat. It's a shame. I liked their food, perhaps if they would have attempted to make the delay up somehow (a free dessert, etc.) it would have made a difference. Guess I have to find a new Italian place that delivers

I have high expectations of pizza coming from NY. That being said, I will only eat pizza from 2 places in the state of Delaware. And one of them is Ciao's. This is my go to place for a decent priced slice. I often get their silicon with some pineapple on top, but any slice is good. And their cheese fries are the best in town. All for a reasonable price. I can't say much about the entires, I always just get pizza. But when I do sit down for a slice and some fries with a friend, I get great friendly service. I love this place.

Pretty good pizza....if you can get past the rude people on the phone, the half hour delivery that takes an hour, the forgetting the free 2 liter bottle of soda, then having the delivery driver say she'll come back with it .....then never doing it.....eh like I said prretty good pizza but not really worth it....there at a dozen other places close by with good customer service...why bother with this place?

My fiancé and I were driving home from the beach and came across this wonderful little Italian pizzeria. The service was great and the food was amazing; it was authentic Italian. For suggestions we had the cheese calzone and the manicotti. Ps their house dressing was delicious.

Pizza was ok. Slices were fairly big and cheese covered the entire slice. I had a slice of pepperoni and cheesesteak and although the pepperoni was good the cheesesteak was just ok. The sauce has little to no taste...an improvement on that would make this review a 4 star. The menu was very large and the restaurant was clean.

I have stopped by this place before but not recently. I was pleasantly surprised to find they have moved into a new slot in the same center. It is a large place, cleaner, and much nicer. They do have several options for pizza, subs, and pasta. They also now have a larger dine in portion that is actually nice looking, but I went with the take out option. Ciao's is known for their pizza, after all it is in the name. The crust is fairly standard thin crust. Not crispy but firm enough to hold up to the toppings. the tomato sauce is thinly spread and somewhat mild. it lacks the tang and bright notes I have found with other places. The cheese is layered on thickly and is a rich, smooth, and toothy mozzarella. The pepperoni is sliced thinly and is somewhat one dimensional, the flavor is somewhat plain. The onions while slice thinly are cooked well to allow the sweetness to come through with a generous helping; without burning or drying out. One of the better pizza topping onions I have had in several years. The mushrooms are fairly standard canned buttons and so are the black olives. The staff is quick and friendly with good service. Over all the cheese and the onions made the pizza stand out for me. The crust, mushrooms, and olive were fairly standard. The sauce and pepperoni were a bit disappointing. If not for the thin sauce this would have rated a 4. A stronger sauce, like the tangy Elizabeth's sauce, would make this pizza outstanding.

Simply Ciao has the best pizza I've had in Delaware. The crust is thin, light and tasty, great sauce and the cheese is excellent. In fact it's one of the few pizza places in DE that I will order extra cheese. You may ask if the pizza is so great why only 4 out of 5 stars. Well the service is not nearly as good as the pizza. The employees display poor customer service skills, in fact they seem to feel like they are doing you a favor by taking your order. They can be very annoying and there are times I will order from somewhere else just to avoid the hassle. All in all if you want great pizza Ciao is the place to go, but if customer service is very high on your list you may want to look elsewhere.

Right off Rt 95. Stopped on the way home from DC. Food was delicious. We had fettucine Bolognese, tortellini Alfredo, and chicken parmesan. All very good and large portions. Fettucine was fresh and good.

Another great Ciao location - delicious thin-crust pizza, plus they have a bar too! Great for dine-in & take out. Usually open til 9:30-10ish. My only complaint - once, I ordered for delivery & the guy didn't have any change on him!

In this age of Papa John's, Dominoes, and Pizza Hut, it can be difficult to remember that local pizza joints do still exist, especially in the suburbs. Of course, today's modern take-out pizzerias have to diversify and offer a host of platters and subs on their menu, and Ciao Pizza and Pasta is no exception. On a fateful Friday night in May, however, I wasn't interested in any of those frivolities. I had come to eat Pizza and maybe recapture a slice of my youth. I bought a large pizza with mushrooms for $12.50. The price seemed ok for a 16" pie. This was a pretty cheesy affair but not enough to be disgusting. I was impressed with the thin but crisp crust and each slice held up on its own. While hardly top-notch, the sauce met the social contract required of pizza sauce. Overall, if I was local to this pizza dive, I'd pick it over Papa John's and Dominoes. But not Pizza Hut. I mean they know how to get cheese inside the crust, c'mon!
