Mexican Cuisine
If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.
Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.
Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.

I don't understand any of the flack in the other reviews. The food is standard Chipotle quality (delicious) and the staff are efficient and polite. I suppose the other reviewers have never been inside one before. They are supposed to be minimalist in decor and given the amount of people in line to order at any given time they need to work fast. When people don't understand how to order and hold line up people get irate (myself included). I only take a star away because sometimes the table tops aren't wiped off but given the amount of people here daily it is fully understandable.

Wouldn't let me add value to my current gift card. They said I had to buy a new one. But no one wants to carry extra plastic if they don't need to. I've done it before at a more competent branch, so why not this one. Also, they made me show my ID for no reason. Doesn't make sense. Never coming back, and heavily cautioning others from doing so as well. Incompetent. Also only one register, so the whole process is really inefficient. I guess that's what happens when you're in the middle of nowhere. People are incompetent.

I came here for a second time and I am now just convinced that chipotle isn't for me. I thought maybe the first time I didn't like their food bc I got a burrito but now I am sure. I came in and got a bowl instead. In my bowl I put rice, chicken, guacamole, corn, lettuce, etc and they give you so little chicken you're left with everything else. The food once again so BLAND. It taste like sour cream and rice all the other flavors aren't noticed. Just like before my food was expensive. I have just given up on eating here and I don't understand the hype for this place.

This is the best deal in town. For less than $7.00 you get a giant bowl containing some of the freshest local ingredients you can find. Chipotle, Newark services such a high volume of customers, during the school year, that the food doesn't have time to sit out very long, and is very tasty. I have been to Chipotle in many cities across the U.S. and I find this one to be the tastiest. I recommend getting the steak or carnitas, for your protein, with brown rice, black beans, peppers (you have to ask specifically for the peppers), any of the sauces are great, but make sure you get the corn, cheese, and lettuce. I promise you wont be let down. Also, be friendly to the staff and they will take care of you. They are very nice, and too often I see customers ordering like jerks. Don't be a jerk. These people are high quality food service employees, and deserve to be treated well.

This is how my order went: "Chicken burrito, white rice and black beans, please." "Brown rice and black beans?" "No, white rice and black beans." The employee then gave me brown rice on the burrito. They're also very stingy with the guacamole, especially considering the charge for it is up to nearly $2. California Tortilla is a far better value with much more competent service.

Some chick that worked there asked me what sauce I wanted. I said "hot sauce" She proceeded to give me mild sauce with a dirty look on her face. ??? This is a true story. Most confusing Chipotle I've ever been to.

*review for May 25, 2013* I LOVE Chipotle, but this one wasn't great. I was traveling to Atlantic City, and I had a taste for tacos by the time I hit Delaware. Well, my GPS brought me here, and I got my tacos. Since my sister was driving, I had a chance to eat the tacos in the car... I wanted to cry because the shells were stall.

I LOVE Chipotle but for some reason the food at this one is always really salty. It's almost unbearable. I don't know what this one does differently but I wish they'd stop it. It's very disappointing made worse by the fact that it's the only one around.

It is a Chipotle and conforms to the chain. The nice thing is that this is located on Main Street in Newark making it easy to get to and park if you happen to drive in to town. The staff was very friendly, courteous, and fast. The pork was tender and succulent. The rice was slightly overcooked and was bordering on mealy, but this was a mass produced quantity so that can be forgiven, Overall I was pleased with the food and would return. The high point was the staff who made the experience better rather then detracting from it as can happen at fast food places.

My visit this time was better; since I went later in the day after the lunch rush there was no one really there. I ordered a pork bowl; it was huge and just because it's a "bowl" doesn't mean there are less calories. It was good the service was a little slow even though there weren't that many people there.

So good. It's hard not to go here often for lunch. The ingredients are so fresh, the steak is so good, the rice is awesome, and somehow the tortilla is just...better. Blows California Tortilla out of the water. Always get guacamole. Just do it. I've gotten the burrito bowl too and it's awesome. Sometimes I mix the ingredients together in the bowl, other times I just go for it, unmixed. Whatever you want...this is America. Fast, friendly, and always a pleasure. So glad it opened up on Main Street.

I had never been to a Chipotle before so my associate and I were in the mood to have a Burrito so we came here on a Thursday around 8pm. It's street metered parking all night so bring quarters. The place is pretty stark. Two rows of stainless steel topped tables with stools that lead up to the ordering counter that reminded me of a Chinese counter at the mall, with hanging signs above and a very limited menu. The servers seemed in a rush even though it wasn't busy. I had a chicken burrito which had your choice of rice (brown or white), beans (red or black) and cheese. Guacamole was an extra $1.80 or something like that. They have a self serve soda fountain. It was OK but if you've ever been to a Moe's Southwestern Grill, this place pales in comparison. I guess the college kids like it so who cares what I think.

The food at Chipotle is not bad. They try to serve freshly prepared , healthy food. You choose what you want. The problem at the Newark Chipotle is with customer service. They are only interested in hustling you through the line and getting your money. They bark at you when you are slow deciding what you want, they are in such a hurry to get you in and out they often don t listen to what your choices were. I felt like the cashier was ready to say "heres your change now get the hell out of here'. They need to slow down and be more consumer friendly. I will never return to this restaurant.

This Chipotle is relatively new, but the staff were able to happily and easily accommodate my friend's insane requests of double-double-double meat. For a burrito that is actually the size of your head, go to Chipotle! The ingredients are fresh and tasty; the carnitas were especially yummy today. You can order online or through your iphone, which is especially convenient in this college town.

After standing in the line to the door, we were told, no lettuce left. Really? early on Saturday night? Burrito was OK for fast food. had enough salsa for two chips. chips were not very good. The line took forever because there was one cashier and she was slow.

I love Chipotle, I had to drive to Bel-Air to get me some Chipotle, so I was excited then the Main St in Newark opened up. Parking is kinda on the bad side, you have to pay at least $0.25 to park (meter) but I think it's totally worth the amount of food you get with how much you pay for! Can be crowded sometimes, it is in the heart of UD, but that's a college town for ya! This gets 4 stars because they do need to pick up the pace a little bit. Bel-Air is quicker service, but I don't have to drive nearly as far to get my fix.
