Great service and selection of their own version of various Spanish tapas. While it's not a five stars, they really do an excellent job with their attention to detail in presentation and in attentive service from all staff. The salad was our best dish, but nothing was bad, and they pushed creative takes on many different traditional Spanish dishes. None are authentic but that's not expected in Delaware anyway, and we ate all of everything we ordered. The prices are a little but much, but you are also paying for the really good service and the nice atmosphere of the restaurant. Decent wine list with a lot of Spanish wines and even the bottled water is from Spain. A great find in the Wilmington area. We'd go back sometime.

Cafe Ole is one of Main Street's gems. I usually go here with some buddies for their happy hour specials. I have yet to get a dish that I dislike. The food is excellent and at an unbeatable price. The quality of the food is something that if I saw, I would guess it'd be priced around 15-25 dollars, but at prices averaging around 10, I always feel like I'm getting a great deal. In addition to their food, their drinks are stellar as well. Their house-made garden tequila was one of the most unique drinking experiences I've had on Main Street. Cafe Ole is the perfect place for a night out with friends, a date, or just a few drinks. I cannot recommend it enough.

This is such a great little spot in Newark, I have no idea why it is ALWAYS EMPTY. Seriously people, you need to start eating here, Newark needs this place and we gotta keep it in business! My absolute favorite thing about Cafe Ole is this AMAZING drink they have...its a cilantro chili margarita (or something like that, I forget the exact name) and it is the perfect balance of spicy, sour, and sweet. It's one of the best drinks I've ever had. Incredibly well priced at $6 for a nice sized drink. I've had this same drink in NYC for $20 (no lie.) and not as good. I'm someone who loves trying new things, yet I've ordered this same drink every time I've gone because it's just that good. Next best thing: The waitresses have been incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. I'm vegan and most of the vegetarian tapas aren't naturally vegan. However, they are willing to modify just about anything and they always have great recommendations. And lastly, the food: I've had a few things that I wasn't crazy about (which I mostly attribute to ordering non-vegan things that really shouldn't be made vegan...but I'm living and learning about what's better to order) and some things that have been over-the-top good. My non-vegan friends have enjoyed every dish they've had. The mushrooms and chorizo have had rave reviews (I've had them without the chorizo and that was excellent, so I'm sure the chorizo makes it incredible). That drink alone is enough to keep me going back, and it's fun trying different food items even though the food has been kinda hit-or-miss. But a few things I've had have been stellar so I will definitely continue to eat at Cafe Ole. ......so long as they stay in business which means YOU need to go there too!

So impressed with this hidden gem! The tapas are more authentic than everywhere else around. The prices are super reasonable and the attention to detail is obvious. Even the French fries are impressive! $2 Sam Adams drafts... amazing tres leches cake... I could go on and on.

with a fresh makeover and new management this place is definitely a must for people to check out. the full bar and classy feel to the place makes it an experience. they offer drink specials and tapas for very reasonable prices and a happy hour at the bar that's certainly worth stopping in for. located right next to santa fe, even though this place has a smaller space it adds a more intimate feeling to the experience. certainly recommend stopping by for the incredible and friendly staff, nothing like before in this now gem of a place!!

What a great experience?!!! The place is cute and intimate and perfect for a lunch date. I went with my mom and sister for lunch and we were able to share our plates. The fried goat cheese had great flavor as well as the streak on a stick!! It was too early to try their fusion drinks but I will definitely go back for happy hour. The prices were very reasonable too!! The only issue we had was there was a hair in my moms fried eggplant. The waiter was very apologetic and removed it from our bill!!!! Will visit soon again!!!

Wow! This place is a top-notch Tapas bar, with reasonable prices. As much as I love Tapas, I often avoid it because it tends to be priced well out of my price range. This place is a true gem...it offers original Tapas that are innovative, high-quality, and reasonably priced. The menu includes both traditional items as well as new and different ones. Some of the highlights when I ate here were an octopus salad that had razor thin slices of octopus that were smoked--imagine an octopus version of bacon...a very good paella with chorizo, a delightful fried eggplant, and many other dishes. There are a lot of good vegetarian options, and I think this would be a great place for vegetarians--one of us in our party was and we got a lot of vegetarian dishes and they were all good. Every dish was excellent, and the dishes were quite diverse too. Depending on how hungry you are and what you order, it's possible to eat here for around $10, and it would be hard to spend more than $15 a person unless you buy a lot of food. Service was really good...our waitress was really nice, and she knew a lot about the food and was able to communicate a lot about the items. I recommend checking this place out! It's tucked away in a slightly awkward storefront, set back from the street, which is easy to overlook. I hope people quickly discover it because I want it to thrive, because I want to keep eating here!

Cute place, sat with some friends around a table with comfortable chairs and a sofa. The service was decent but it took a very long time for our food to come out. Also, I realize that it's a tapas place but $8 for two empanadas is a little ridiculous (those are NYC prices). I would go again if someone really wanted to but I'm not in any rush. I didn't really understand why they only had two waiters even though it was a Saturday night. I kind of felt bad for them, having to do so much. Eh, maybe we just caught them at a bad time.

Very interesting place on Main Street. Seems like a great place to go with a small group of people to hang out for a beer and some small plates of great food. Staff was extremely friendly and the mood in there would be great for a date night. Ordered the steak empanadas, the buffalo chicken, and the chorizo. Tapas is all about sharing and enjoying yourself. The food was good and from what I heard the white sangria was very good.

My wife and I eat on Main St three or four times per week, and this has instantly become one of our favorites. Five large portioned, tasty, well prepared tapas plates and two cocktails, all for $41. A friend referred us or we would have never known. There's a long window counter for people watching, several traditional tables, and an area where a party of 8 or so can dine in a lounge style. Would be a nice date setting. Very vegetarian and vegan friendly. Most of the tapas dishes are or can be vegan. My wife and I eat mostly vegan, and 8 of the 18 tapas items are vegan as is and comprise a nice variety. A balanced vegan meal can be hard to find in Newark. Several of the other tapas items are vegetarian. Service was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable, but I should add that sadly we were one of only three parties that night. I really want this place to stay in business, but am concerned at the small turnout at 8pm on a Friday night (UD Home Coming). They need to manage the hidden front door location so as to encourage window diners to enter and give it a try. We would have never tried it if a friend hadn't recommended it. Maybe they could post a lit up menu board out on the sidewalk? In the meantime, I've been telling my friends. Great experience! Note that it is not open Mondays, despite what their facebook page says.
