I ordered the Breakfast burrito and was blown away. 4 eggs made for a filling breakfast that left me smiling. The owner was great and seemed to know all her customers by name.

A small shop with a big personality. The owner was fun and kept me engaged while cooking up my meal. I ordered the Western Omelette sandwich and sweet potato fries. The sandwich was great; very reminiscent of a home cooked meal. The sweet potato fries were awesome, deliciously sweet and unbeknownst to me, came with a side of syrup. A combination I'll be experimenting with from now on. I'll be coming back!

My first visit was a recon mission for my coworkers about a month ago and we were not disappointed! The quality of the food is first class and the portions are generous. There is no competition when it comes to breakfast sandwiches locally. Today was my second visit and it was spectacular again. The service is quick and friendly making you feel welcomed whether its your first time or you're a regular. I was remembered from my first visit and that always feels good even if it was only because of my sandwich (scrapple, egg, cheese with tomato on a long roll)! Thanks for a great start to the week!

just tried this place for the 1st time after reading the great reviews!!...i ordered the breakfast burrito...OMG! sooooo delish!! sooo savory!!...there are sooo many other tasty looking sandwiches on her menu board...definitely have to go back and try the rest of them!!...and the owner is very engaging and friendly!!

Nice small place off of Rte 9, near Old New Castle. The owner is very friendly and ready to serve her customers not only a very good breakfast sandwich but also friendly conversation. You should try it, you won't be disappointed.

I discovered this little gem of a food joint on my long drive to New Castle from Milford. Not wanting a breakfast from my usual Wawa, I figured I'd come across something more interesting taking the scenic route on rt 9. I started to lose hope after passing a rusty refinery and a giant tank farm...but lo and behold, right next to a tiny tavern sits this adorable tiny restaurant! The service was super friendly, as were the cool bunch of Australians that made their breakfast stop here while on their epic American road trip. They had their first taste of scrapple! The menu offerings are a good range of your usual breakfast suspects mixed with some more creative offerings. Everything is made from scratch. My scrapple egg and cheese sandwich was enormous, and absolutely delicious. Craig's breakfast burrito was outstanding. They also offer a good range of lunch items. Oh...and the coffee! They have a special water filtration system that not only takes the "DuPont glow" out of the water, but makes an incredibly good smooth strong cup of joe. All in all, if you happen to find yourself in this area and want a substantial meal to carry you through the day, you can't do better than this place.

New Chef and Manager! Clean and great service. Amazing fresh homemade sandwiches and soup and not just the basics. Ruben, Fish Po-Boy, Smoked Pulled Pork and daily specials. All food made to order, chef will make whatever you want. This is a great place and a must stop.

Bright, cheery, and relaxed would describe both the venue and the proprietor of this little breakfast & lunch spot. It's the only place near Old New Castle that's open for breakfast on Mondays, which is what brought me through the door. I enjoyed a breakfast burrito that was actually quite tasty -- not fancy, but good food. I will probably come back and try something else next time. I did note several lunch specials that sounded good, too.

There is nothing fancy about Sunrise Shop, and that's its charm. The proprietor is great with people. The food is good. The prices are right. There are a couple tables, so a lot is take out. I recommend it for a good place to try for sandwiches and other light meals.
