Ordinarily I wouldn't take the time to review a restaurant like Ocean Point, one that isn't "special" if you will. But the only review so far would certainly keep people away, so in this case I will. I'm a local, not a tourist, and I've eaten at this place many times. It's quite good in many ways. There is a very wide choice, pretty good specials, and some things worth focusing on. The grilled fish choices have always been quite good and reasonable when I've had them. Italian and Greek dishes are definitely good if generic. Sandwiches (i.e. the club sandwich) are quite good in my opinion. Salads too. Prices are extremely reasonable, and portions are big. It's a good breakfast place as well. Would I go out of my way to eat at the Ocean Point Grill? No. But it's good all the same -- and I've *never* had anything "greasy" there. Don't know what happened the night the previous reviewer visited but not to worry.

I was extremely disappointed with my dining experience here. We're visiting Lewes for a few days and went in looking for some good seafood. We were seated given a large menu to select from. We chose the Chicken Tenders for an appetizer with honey mustard and BBQ sauce. 4 over-fried pieces of chicken showed up a few minutes later haphazardly tossed onto a platter. They were very greasy and nearly inedible. I ordered the Fish and Chips as an entree with fries, onion rings, chicken noodle soup and applesauce and a Dr. Pepper to drink. The soda was virtually all syrup and the rest of the meal was also over-cooked, under-seasoned and terribly greasy. Granted, I order fried food but it can be prepared in such a manner as to not make you feel sick afterward. First the applesauce arrived way before the rest of the meal. Then came the soup which was terribly greasy as well and had macaroni noodles in it. The rest of my entree arrived and it was all incredibly disappointing. The applesauce was also very watery. My friend's stuffed flounder was greasy and salty. His macaroni and cheese was very watery and tasted like nothing. Our server was nice enough. Apparently the restaurant gives customers free homemade dessert (maybe to make up for the rest of the meal). Needless to say, we didn't want any part of it. I recognize that this is not a five star restaurant, but paying $45 for a meal for two people was outlandish given the poor quality of the food. We will never return and I caution people to go anywhere else. We should have gone to the TGI Fridays we found on the way.

Have been here a good handful of times for breakfast because it's the closest diner-ish restaurant to my in laws' place. Not jumping up for joy when I come here but also don't have anything that negative to say except that the hashbrowns could be crispier, the cornbeef hash could be a lot less oily, and when I ask for sour cream and apple sauce with the sweet potato pancakes, the server should explain that their sweet potato pancakes are actually PANCAKES WITH sweet potato in them and not the crispy kind. I will say though that the prices are very reasonable and the service is good.

Even for diner food, this was some of the greasiest, worst tasting food I've eaten in a long time.

Recently had an above average lunch here. The menu is diverse, and the portions large, but not outrageous. I was tempted to have breakfast since they serve it all day, but got a wrap instead, which i enjoyed very much. Very good service, and I will go back!
