Meh....when we walked in the waitress recommended the Greek Food and the chicken green coconut curry. We wanted a light dinner and it sounded good. The waitress didn't know much about the food. The felafel came out with no taziki sauce and when we asked it took 10 minutes to come back with sauce. The felafels were cold and they seemed to be made of rye flour not chick peas. The curry first came out with tofu not chicken as the waitress recommended. I sent it back for chicken and waited again. The food was ok, service marginal. Probably not coming back....:(

Simple to say. Avoid this place. Waitress was frazzled and seemed rush even though on 3 tables including-ours were seated when we came in. Server ask if we needed anything we said hot sauce and ketchup she walked away starting talking to friends at another table than served walk in coffee still waiting for condiments.

Ordered crab Benedict. No crab. Sauce horrible. Scrapple is good but you can't mess that up. Won't be back.

Terrible service, put Dill as spinach in a spinach Omelette says 3 eggs but it's really whipped 1! Don't waste your time. Oh staff is unfriendly and are angry. I guess they hate the place as much as the patrons who unknowingly stroll in!

One of the worst dining experiences I've ever had. Our food - eggs over easy - took an hour to arrive and was cold and tasteless. Had to ask three times for coffee. We were treated more like a nuisance than like customers. Should have waited for a table elsewhere - would have been faster!

I am so angry that we dropped into this place and didn't wait 45 mins for a table across the street. I may need to go back to sleep for an hour and go to brunch again in attempt to erase this experience. I fear that this may not be enough though. The scars run far too deep. Don't go here unless you have the desire to ruin your week. The toast was ok.

We had a couple of good salads here. A Tabouli Salad and a Greek Salad made with fresh spinach. Good nut bread, too. Nice and quiet. Clean.

We were looking for seafood and headed for Jerry's Seafood. Jerry's was empty and Blue Sea Cafe next door had a nice atmosphere and offered healthy options. We were very hungry after riding our bikes for 30 miles form Fenwick Island. My wife ordered an Oriental Salad and I asked for the Chicken and Avocado Wrap. Despite few customers present it took the chef more than 25 minutes to prepare our order. Just like us, patrons sitting a table next to us complained about the wait time. Our Ice Tea barely tasted like tea. It could not have been weaker . Food finally arrived. The Oriental Salad was good and the portion adequate. The Chicken Wrap however, was a joke. Wrapped in a flour tortilla it contained a leaf of lettuce, a sliver of avocado and two very thin stripes of chicken. It was unbelievable small. I had never seen a smaller amount of chicken in a wrap. When the waitress came by to ask about our food, I told her the wrap was pathetic. Not paying much attention to my response she said,"great, enjoy". i had to repeat my sentence. A few minutes later another waitress offered to take the wrap off the bill and took my credit card. Instead, the first witness came back with my card, no changes in the bill and a $2 coupon for our next visit. Did she think we were going to ever come back? Asked about one of the waitress offer to take the item off the bill, she told us the chef had instructed them not to do it because that was his recipe. In summary, do not go there ! Slow kitchen and meager portions. I paid $7.50 for a wrap worth 75 cents of ingredients, if that. I left, crossed the street and had something to eat at "Touch of Italy"

Hands down the worst dining experience of my life. It is going to be a miracle if I don't have food poisoning from the cold slop I was served that they think is food. I haven't written a review in over a year but it was so atrocious I felt compelled to warn everyone to stay away. If you had to choose between a dumpster or here pick the dumpster and consider yourself lucky.

If I had checked Yelp first, I never would have wasted time and money on this place. After being seated in the nearly empty dining room, we waited nearly ten minutes for menus. When menus finally came, we waited too long again to order. Food was slow in coming and was not worth waiting for. When our breakfast finally came it was mediocre at best. French toast was charred black around the edges (no self-respecting professional chef would allow something that was so obviously sub-par to leave the kitchen) and tasted burnt but was not hot enough to melt the butter. Over easy eggs had clear, runny whites. Toast was barely toasted. The wait staff took no interest in the quality of our experience. Did not return to the table to see if any thing was needed and to make sure food was acceptable. When asked for the manager, the server gave me directions to the bathroom and (get this) the combination to the bathroom door. When I repeated my request for a manager I was told that no manager was present and it was unknown when one would be there. This explains a lot. With no management to set and maintain even the most basic standards, it is no surprise that this place has received very few positive reviews on Yelp. This business must be someone's hobby. If anyone actually depended on it for a living, I believe that things at this place would be very different. As it is, there is clearly a lack of competent management. Perhaps the owners are oblivious to the fact that their staff is not dedicated and their management is evidently lazy.

Our first time here and there is room for improvement. We ordered the Mediterranean Sampler to share first: roasted red pepper hummus was excellent (pita was meh--flat bread, not pocket pita) lots of nice olives (black, pitted Greek), a mound of "tabbouleh" that was really more of a cold bulgar and barley and spices salad--tasty, but definitely NOT your standard cracked wheat, tomato, parsley, tabbouleh. We rejected the babaganoush --it has a distinct ferment-y edge it gets when it starts to turn. The kid got a generous portion of buttered egg noodles. Spanakopita was more pastry than spinach--and prepared more like a layered strudel than a spinach pie--too many layers of pastry and cheese defeated the meager amount of spinach. It was a large rectangle cut from a bigger pan of it, no doubt. Came with a nice side of mixed greens topped with tomato, feta and more olives-nice vinaigrette on the side.1 Partner's shishkabob was overdone--but the server hadn't asked how to prepare the beef-it would have been tastier had it come out less done. Got a slice of "key lime" pie for dessert: cream pie with a strange bitter aftertaste. On the whole, it was "Mediterranean" lite--dumbed down and swapped out, Americanized and disappointing to anyone who really likes real Lebanese/Greek/Turkish food. We will give the kitchen some time to figure out if they really want to serve this menu or scap it.

Horrible service! Incredibly slow! Mediocre food, some with no flavor. We had a platter of hummus, Tabbouleh, grape leaves, and pita as well as some moussaka and salad. We also had a blueberry smoothie and a wild berry smoothie. The smoothies were quite tart. Of the luncheon platters, the best elements were the Tabbouleh and the Greek Salad. The moussaka was ok; the pita was acceptable, and the hummus was incredibly bland. Five tables of customers [who arrived after us] were served their food before we got ours. The servers were unable to explain menu items and were helter skelter in getting things done. There seemed to be no system and they continuously complained about the cook to each other and to the customers.

We had brunch here our first morning in Lewes. The food was good, but the service was pathetic. The policy was seat yourself, but it was crowded, so some of the servers were helping people, which only caused table battles. It took forever for our food - breakfast food, mind you - to come out. A young waiter actually offered to clear our silverware before we'd been served. My husband's came out about ten minutes behind ours. The food was good, but not worth the wait. It took another 15 minutes to get the right bill and have them run our credit card. They were full of excuses, but the delays and confusion were beyond excuse. Also, for a place with a lengthy coffee list, I'd expect better than Lipton tea.

This must be newish for it to have so few reviews. I went for breakfast today and I liked it. It was no Busboys and Poets breakfast/brunch, but it was good. I had French toast and bacon. No complaints there. "Fruit compote" and a slice of orange in 2012 has to go. Fresh fruit please. Some blubes and pineapple would be fine. It's a really cute place with bright, colorful furnishings. One thing? Uh, the music. Some of the worst old soft rock I've heard in a while. Brian B., it was even less hip than Andy Gibb. Server was working hard. I think it surprised the town how busy it was this weekend. Another thing--no non-dairy options for coffee drinks? Eh...c'mon. And $1.50 for plain black drip coffee is surprising considering more labor-intensive, hopefully better bean coffee drinks are $2.50.

Sunday breakfast My friends and I ate breakfast here after a great weekend in Lewes. The service was terrific! Very friendly staff who were very helpful and attentive. All of us had something different and all of us were very satisfied with the food. Everything came out looking tasty and hot! Nice sized pancakes with that nice toasty color! Greek omelette was not so huge you couldn't eat it all like some places. The menu has a few different things not found at most places like Monkey Bread or baked oatmeal. Excellent choice for breakfast!

This place is terrible. Upon sitting down, our waitress had a bad attitude and was then mostly absent for the rest of our meal. She was annoyed when we asked for more coffee... My egg white frittata came out lukewarm, and my toast was soggy. Despite a discount from our hotel, we won't come here again. Save yourself some money and go to one of the many other breakfast places in town.

This is the worst eatery I've visited in many, many years -- possibly ever. I'm not even sure where to begin. First, the place is called Blue Sea Cafe... you'd assume there would be some seafood on the menu, right? At least a few items? Nope. Of the 20 or so sandwiches available there was one single seafood item -- a smoked salmon sandwich of some sort. Now I'm not a seafood eater, so this didn't bother me any, but the fact that the name was so disconnected from the menu should have given me pause before ordering. Alas it did not, here is the play by play. We walk in and tell the waitress there are 7 of us. She tells us to sit anywhere, but asks if we want seafood, if we want seafood, we should go next door. We say, oh, ok. Should we just head over? The other waitress comes by and tells us that even though next door is open, no one has shown up for work yet. What? We sit. We wait. No menus, no waitress stops by to get a drink order. After 10 minutes or so, I go over and grab a few menus and we start looking. Waitress stops by finally to take our order. We wait. and wait. and wait. A full 45 minutes go by and the kids at the table are really starting to get antsy. More than 50 minutes later the food finally shows up -- a 50 minute wait for lunch! Reuben Panini -- panini? Not only was this not a panini, it wasn't even toasted let along grilled in a sandwich press. One half of the sandwich had a typical sized portion of corned beef. The second half had NO CORNED BEEF! Egad. Pork Cuban Sandwich -- technically ham is from a pig, so it can be considered pork. I've never quite used the term pork to describe ham though. The "cuban" "pork" sandwich was actually a ham sandwich with pickles and honey mustard. Authentic Gyro -- the menu actually uses the word "authentic". If authentic means fatty unseasoned meat with 2 cucumber slices and 4 drops of tzatziki sauce served on a toasted flour tortilla, then it is appropriate. If "authentic" means seasoned slow cooked lamb sliced thin and served with lettuce, tomato, onion, tzatziki on a pita, then it couldn't possibly be less authentic than if you served unseasoned ground beef on white bread. This was the worst dish at the table. Coney Island Hot dogs served with chili and cheese -- the chili was dry and seemed pretty old. Very salty and little chili flavor. Hot dogs were ok. I'm thinking if a hot dog was the highlight of the day, it's a pretty bad meal. There was also a portobello sandwich at the table, but I didn't get to taste it. Avoid this place at all costs. You'd be better off skipping a meal altogether than eating here

A sad disappointment is so many ways. I went there for lunch and was surprised to see a MonteCristo listed on the menu because I never see them anymore so I ordered it. "Battered dipped", sure, dipped in something that made the bread soggy and mushy, resembling undercooked french toast with ham/cheese rather than a MonteCristo. It gets better, because either they have created a whole new definition of gazpacho ( and if they did my apologies for the following sentences) or they simply could care less about their customers. When it arrived it was hot, and tasted like Old Bay was in it, and had kernels of corn in it as well. When we asked the waitress if this was possibly the wrong order here's the response: "oh no, that's gazpacho. it gets so hot in the kitchen that it must have warmed up while sitting on the counter" Haaa haaa. True story. Who operates a business that way let alone tries to pawn off a hot soup as a classic everyone knows is served cold!?!? To our waitress's credit, she did offer to take it back and bring us something else so we sent it back. We won't be going back.

Had a nice lunch there by myself this past Sunday. Ordered the rueben as recommended by my waitress. Nice choice- done just right. Came with a side of generic potato chips. Service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely return.

Here for breakfast. Service inefficient and not friendly. Food arrived late and cold. Will not return.

After waiting for what seemed like an eternity for a simple sandwich (and dealing with an insane amount of flies) the food was just okay, and that's being nice. The service was no better, after we ordered we were basically ignored until the food finally came, then didn't see the server again until the check arrived.

sitting here in the cafe right now. my waitress is Kelly and upon entering she tells she thinks there's a table in the back so I just keep walking and seat myself. we sit for 15 minutes before even get menus. we finally order and when the food comes out, all the dishes minus mine come out. she finally brings out my dish which is wrong so without any apologies she says it'll take more time. I am still waiting for my food right now writing this review and the waitresses are fighting in front of me because customers are complaining because the waitresses are giving them the wrong bills. the table next to us gave us their ketchup and jams because we've been waiting 10 minutes for ours. 45 minutes later i'm still hungry without food... lol this place is a joke!
