Great food from this family dinner. The seafood is great. Really delicious shrimp and crab cake. Leaving the beach and wanted to get out of all of the traffic. And the pie was killer!

The chicken croquettes are amazing. Great lil side of the road place. Food is home cooked and the price is good! The waitress was friendly! Since then we have been back a few times! Most of the food was big...large portions!

Food was very good. Fried seafood platter stuffed us. Fried soft shell crab and crab cake was better than expected. Good Lima beans and dumplings. Down home cooking. Service was very nice, but bring your patience. It is Lower Slower Delaware.

I had the clam strips, mashed potatoes and hush puppies. Husband had salmon patties, and corn fritters. We both thought it was good food and fairly inexpensive. Great hole in the wall restaurant!!

Phewf at 11:00 am NO Breakfast! WTF I reed reviews and they all say how good it is. Not cool, I hated it. All I know is never get the meatloaf oh man gross. Go to Ronda's House of Treats it's right across the street. So mad when we left and then seen Ronda's. They serve breakfast all day, just saying. So unless you're 100 plus in age I would avoid Smiths. Everyone there was so old and the food had no taste. It reminded me of some po dunk town in up state Michigan where they serve bowls of slop and noodles to toothless fools. Phewf avoid like the plague.

The food was great, the staff was friendly. Felt like eating at home. Highly recommend

Pretty good. I had the Chicken Croquette which was tasty, Mac 'n Cheese was good, the Kale was very salty. Sweet Tea (too sweet & I'm from the south). A coworker had a burger with fries & said the burger wasn't fresh (may be pre-frozen patties). Another coworker didn't like the Grilled Chicken Salad. When I asked the waitress what sides she recommended she looked as if it was a strange question I was asking & proceeded to name each side on the menu. I think if you work there, then you should be able to give me recommendations for what is best, which may increase the chance of someone returning. All in all, it wasn't horrible. I will say, for the area it's acceptable. If you're hungry & your in the area...try it, there are tons of choices on their menu.

Sells what Eastern Sho' people want to eat. Fried, salted, buttered and sweetened. If you want Southern style comfort food and local prices, you can't find better within 100 miles. If you're watching your weight, sugar, or cholesterol go there anyway and indulge, but don't over do it!

It doesn't look like much from outside, which is why I'd never stopped before, but don't make the mistake I made and avoid it. Inside is goodness. I swear to you, we were the only customers under 60 years old. There were several canes in attendance. It was classic western Sussex County God-fearin' kitsch everywhere we looked. It was also classic western Sussex County good eatin', cheap. The most expensive thing I saw on the (breakfast) menu was under $10, but we each spent about $5 for a plate full of more food than either of us probably had any business eating. He thought he was ordering two strips of bacon, two eggs, two slices of toast, and some home fries, but when his plate arrived, it was more like 6 strips of perfectly cooked sizzling bacon and a half a plate of home fries, along with the two eggs and two slices of toast. I got scrapple, eggs, and cheese on wheat toast, which is the same breakfast I order in any restaurant that serves it - the scrapple on that sandwich was laid on nearly an inch thick! It was our first visit, but it won't be our last.

Great place to eat. I had some awesome chicken and dumplings. All made from scratch. Everyone's plate looked really good! Establishment was clean and friendly. I will return!

This restaurant is definitely worth the drive it takes us to get there! The wait staff is friendly & the restaurant always clean. The owners take great pride in their business & customer service. Smiths food is homemade as well as their desserts! No processed food here! My absolute favorite meal is their crab cakes. You won't find better crab cakes or oysters on the eastern shore. Be sure to order a sweet tea.

Great local stop along 13. Although it doesn't look like much from the outside, its quite roomy and inviting. Traditional breakfast with excellent buckwheat pancakes. Prompt service. Comfortable atmosphere. All around a very positive and satisfying visit.

Quint place with all the charm of the little hole in the wall that locals like to go to. Not a large menu but that is not what you go to these places expecting. Food was good, came quickly, and at a great price. What more could you ask for?

Homestyle cooking, just great stuff with reasonable prices. Their soups and stews are especially noteworthy. The GREATEST pancakes you'll ever have. Service is very good, cozy comfy place inside, frequented by a lot of eastern shore farmers. If you're still working, you'll be one of the youngest people in there. Pies are pretty awesome, too. Their fried chicken ( hey, screw your doctor, he doesn't need to know you ate it ) is the best you will ever have. Makes the Colonel look like a TV dinner. I go up and down Rt 13 a lot, and this is the only place I eat.

Best breakfast between Camden and Seaford. The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because we could've used drinks faster a few times.
