Just tried Grab and Go Taco for lunch with my daughter and her friend. The food is delish, I tried the fish taco one fried and one blackened, my daughter tried the shrimp taco one fried, one blackened. We both liked the blackened better. The friend got a steak snd cheese quesadilla, which she said was great. The green crack sauce was really good-I ordered extra. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is the service, while not bad was just...meh. Pretty slow and there were only a few people ordering. When the beach is full up and more people start coming here (which they will, the food is really good) this place is going to be in trouble if they don't speed up. My extra order of green crack sauce was only 1/4 full so I went back and asked for them to fill it up- they did, but not with a smile. Also, they're open from 11-8 and they were out of guac by 3:30. I thought that was strange for a place that serves a total of two sides. So five star food, and three star service- four stars overall

Mahi tacos amazing. Felt like I was in Cali. Verdict of my husband, a severe food snob, is "Mahi better than steak." Steak taco people say "4 stars" Mahi taco people say "5 stars"

My favorite was the blackened fish tacos, followed by the steak. The chicken was 'OK'. The blackened shrimp was marginal in my opinion although others in our party enjoyed them. The shrimp were large but lacking in flavor despite the seasoning. The chips you can skip... They were a little stale and clearly store bought. The salsa was also bland although it seemed handmade. Overall a great experience and we will be back for more!

Tacos on the beach? I'm with that. The beer-battered shrimp made for a quick and tasty lunch. My only complaint is that it is not possible to buy a full gallon tub of the Green Crack sauce.

  • Kellee C.

Very good tacos !!!! Steak tacos and beer battered fish was amazing !!!! They are made to order. I almost called up there to tell them how great it was !!! The quesadilla was just ok we got the blackened shrimp. I will absolutely be back for the tacos but will pass on the quesadilla for now. $4.50 a taco pricing is normal for OC - everything is expensive !

  • Patrick S.

an amazing quick bite walking distance from the beach the Green Crack sauce is a delicious avocado sauce that you can't get enough of the Beer-Battered Fish made with Mahi Mahi was a good size chunk of fish, so no skimping

We enjoyed these tacos. I had the beer battered shrimp and my husband had the chicken which had an Asian type marinade. Really good! My children had a steak quesidilla and cheese quesidilla which had the most cheese i have ever seen in a quesidilla. I didn't go there with any expectations such as a fast food taco or a california taco so I just enjoyed what I ate. I should have ordered extra green crack sauce tho. We will be back.

I go every time I am in town but if you are looking for a quick cheap meal this isn't the place for you. A taco will run you 4.50 and they are not big, they are awesome though. Everything is made fresh so it can take some time to get your order. Again it is very good but pricey.

  • Jack M.

Such a great spot. Eat here most days when I'm at the beach!! Quesidilla and guacamole are amazing!! Steak and shrimp are my two favorite choices.

  • Emma H.

Steak tacos are incredible and I love the fixings they come with. Quick and easy. You get what you pay for! It's not cheap but you can tell its all fresh. One of my new favorites in town as a local.

  • Beth V.

This place was exceptional! Staff was friendly and the food is amazing! I got a chicken taco w/fixin's and my boyfriend got the steak and fish tacos, both of which he said was delicious. The chips and gauc were fresh and tasty. Only complaint was it was really messy and greasy. Definitely will come back here again and I recommend this place highly!

Everything about this place is perfect. My favorites are the beer battered fish taco, guacamole, and iced tea!

Food makes your mouth water and is unmatched even in a sit down restaurant, this place is a must if your are in OC. Great salsa too. Treat yourself and come to this place

We eat here several times a week. We only get the blackened Mahi tacos on corn tortillas and I add the fajita veggies for $1 more. They are so yummy! But they are the only ones we like, the steak is mediocre and the chicken is marinated in an unpleasant teriyaki. Guacamole is awesome and their chops are good too. We are thrilled to have access to these fish tacos in our bathing suits!

  • Jovany S.

I would give it 5 stars but fish taco was a bit cold but other than that it was Delicious, get the blackened , not beer battered... Also get the shrimp taco, bomb!!

Into their second year, Grab & Go Taco, is still the best Taco on the beach. You hardly have to read a review, the line around the block, says it all. It's refreshing with so much emphasis on homogenized, main stream, copy cat, uninspired, done a million times over corporate based foods and attitudes in the marketplace, to have an entrepreneur wing it & bring it! Grab & Go Taco is an instant classic, delivering memorable eats to the strip, that are not only delicious, but made with an attention to detail, with quality ingredients, filling bellies and creating jobs. Respect The Taco!

  • Mike L.

I have no idea why this place has so many positive reviews. Three of us tried Grab and Go today. The reviews - one 1 star and two 2 stars. We had chicken, blackened Mahi, shrimp and fried Mahi. The chicken was heavy on ginger. The blackened was passable, but unspectacular. The cheese overpowered the seafood. The "crack" was unnoticeable. The tortillas are commercial and served cold. The food is cooked when ordered, but did not arrive hot. There are hot sauces available - Siracha, Choula and Tabasco. A can of Coke is $1.50. If you want excellent and are near Rehoboth Beach go to El Dorado. You'll never visit cheap imitations like this again.

Great tacos made better by the green crack. We had every variety except the fish and all were delicious. Steak was tender, not a bit chewy. Good value as well. Will definitely go there again.

This place is awesome I love everything they serve wish I live closer so would be my absolutely everyday meal! Steak quesadilla was good but jeez put more meet in there I hardly tasted any!

  • Renato G.

These are some of the best tacos around! The green crack is what you'd expect, keeps you coming back for more!

  • Alan L.

Very friendly staff. The tacos are around $4 each and they have a menu that recommends how many tacos you should get depending on how hungry you are. The size of the tacos are not as big as I would but they tasted pretty good. I would recommend the blackened fish tacos over anything since they tasted really good. Chicken and steak are decent. Also chips with green crack was very tasty. Overall a nice place to get tacos if you're willing to spend about $15-20

  • Polly P.

We were looking for quick and affordable place to grab a bite for dinner. Ordered each flavor of taco - blackened fish and chicken were the favorites. A little pricey compared to food truck prices but, hey it's the beach. Homemade guacamole was yummy - chips needed a hit of salt. Whatever was in the Green Crack sauce was delish!

  • Angi A.

We really enjoy most of the food at Grab & Go, and we return every time we are in Fenwick. Love the steak, grilled fish, and battered shrimp tacos. The green crack sauce and red cabbage is great, we just think that they get a little heavy-handed with the sharp cheddar cheese. I am gluten intolerant, and I like that I can get mine on a corn tortilla upon request. We tried the chips and guacamole this year. They were pretty tasty, but thought that the guacamole had a bit too much lime in it for our taste.

  • Leah T.

The tacos are amazing!!! Better than any others on the beach. I wish there was one in Baltimore!

Quick fresh tacos. Went 2 days in a row. Both fish & shrimp tacos are tremendous. Will be a place I stop every time I am in Ocean City.

  • A B.

The tacos are delicious. The blacken mahi mahi taco is a must get. The chicken taco is very good, steak is ok. The green crack sauce is awesome. This place was a great place to eat.

  • Carlotta S.

Don't go here expecting a traditional taco. They have chicken, steak, or shrimp. Tacos come with cabbage only. They look amazing but we came here for the kids who wanted tacos and they serve specialty marinated fresh 'tacos' so the food looks good, and if your looking for authentic Mexican, this is NOT it. This is a California style 'taco' place. They do serve quesadillas too, but again not traditional Mexican. Check it out but don't go here looking for anything other than a few fresh sandwich options.

  • Carrie R.

This was absolutely delicious and I would definitely go back. The line was down the stairs, which we took for a good sign, and we only ended up waiting about 5 minutes to order and another 5-10 for our meals. I had the blackened fish tacos and the blackened shrimp quesadilla. Both were hot, flavorful and had generous portions. The salsa was good to add to the tacos and I next time, I would order green crack for the quesadilla.

  • Kathy S.

After all the reviews I had to try this place. I didn't care for the chicken or steak taco I ordered. It was fresh, but I couldn't get over the Asian ginger flavor that was a bit too overpowering for me. The green crack that seems to be the fame of the place was undetectable due to the big ginger flavor. I also got an order of chips with the green crack. I don't know how this isn't just called guacamole without any seasoning or vegetables. Nothing was bad but I didn't finish anything and am now on my way to get fish and chips from somewhere. I wish I would have tried the fish or shrimp tacos there....bet that would have been yummy. The employees are very friendly, the place is cute and looked clean. My 3 items were only $12 but since they're now on the floor in the backseat it was a waste. My curiosity cost me $12 I suppose. (Have to say, I make delicious guacamole and street tacos so maybe I'm a bit picky on these...?)

I grabbed a grilled shrimp quesadilla the other day and it was the best! Fresh made chips and guacamole were great too.

  • Nathan M.

These tacos are great!! The meat is seasoned well and is tender and juicy. I had the chicken taco and my girlfriend had the flank steak taco. Neither one disappointed. I will definitely come back for these tacos!

  • C S.

Good tacos, a bit pricey ($4.00 a taco for chicken and beef). Very friendly staff. Bad bottle sauces and no "house made" hot sauce (Tabasco, siracha and cholula are a crime against tacos). The marinade on the steak tacos is great. Could be five stars if they make a house sauce and moderate the prices a bit.

I never can find anything tasty to eat in OC. When I saw the reviews for this place I was actually really excited to try it out. I ordered blackened fish and fried shrimp tacos. They came with cheese, cabbage and guacamole. I seriously think all the individuals giving this place 4/5 stars have never tried a fish taco before. The taco was so basic it felt like it was microwaved and then threw on some cheese and cabbage and a little bit of guacamole to top that off the fish was super salty. The food did not taste fresh nor was it amazing. For 4.50 I expected something way way way better! I also order chips and salsa. The chips were okay but the salsa. Ehhh I took a dip and that was it. I think tostitos salsa taste way better than the salsa given. I give this place 2 stars because the food was edible and wasn't disgusting but it wasn't something that's was delicious nor would I ever come back or recommend it to someone. Lastly the people running the place were drinking beer while working -_- seriously?!? Once I saw that I should have left but the reviews convinced me otherwise. Yet they were wrong!! Trust me pass on this place!! I could make better tacos at home.

  • Allen H.

My wife and I ate there today. We had the chicken, steak and blackened fish tacos and the chips with salsa. In short, the only way it could have been better is if it were served out of a food truck. This food is as good as and maybe better than what we get from the food trucks in California. I never believed food could be that good here but it is. The chips were a bit lame but the tacos were exceptional

This place is incredible. Although they only offer exclusive carry out service, they provide a full terrific taco experience. The fish tacos are so delicious and fresh they will have you begging for more. The guacamole is outstanding, it's homemade, it's mouth watering, and its full of Mexican magical spices. Wow...at first i was a bit confused, was i in Fenwick island or in Tijuana Mexico. Grab and Go taco is caliente, and going there will not require a border crossing unless of course you are in Ocean City.

Got the steak and the blackened fish tacos. Both were great. The steak was deliciously marinated. The fish taco had a HUGE portion of mahi. Two tacos were very filling and only $8 total. Would definitely go back!

Disclaimer I am a vegetarian. It is challenging to find something veg friendly, that is not of worthless calories. My wife and I have eaten here a good amount of times for a few seasons when we get to visit the eastern shore. The vegetarian tacos offer a mix mushrooms peppers that have been cooked wrapped in a taco with cabbage, mixed shredded cheese and that GREEN CRACK!!! Green crack = their version of guacamole. On our last visit it was the level of service we received(do not expect this) as they went above and beyond. When I place the order I asked how long a rolled taco would last, the young lady gave me an estimated time, just as another nice young lady offers to deconstruct them so I can make them later fresh! Of course I ordered some for now and some for later. Go over and get some Fishers Popcorn, these two business are attached physically. Then down to check on my wife and new baby daughter. As soon as I turned around to walk back up to Grab-Me-Taco and Go, the person who took was there with a bag and a smile. Super awesome the whole experience.

So, this was our go-to veg lunch spot, but I guess it won't be anymore. Nice that they told us the green crack sauce has dairy it it. Unclear whether it didn't before or if they just didn't tell us. But they won't sub any other salsa or sauce in place of it. I totally understand the no-substitutions practice in most restaurants. We're not trying to be difficult. But it's a walk-up TACO joint for chrissakes. That's like a hot-dog cart saying "sorry, they only come with mustard, no ketchup."

People giving this place such raving reviews are desperate for a place to get good tacos quickly near the beach. I feel you, but this place is not 5 (or even 4) stars worthy. The fish tacos are probably the best thing on the menu, the steak tacos are decent. The chicken tacos aren't that good. They use flour tortillas, which is a bit of a turnoff for me; why can't they use corn? This leads into my biggest issue with the place: the tacos are too Americanized. They come loaded with cheese, which I'm not used to. Also, you're only options for spicing up your tacos are hot sauce. They should make some kind of hot salsa option. So, not bad, but not great either. A solid 3 stars.

The best fish tacos period! I have passed by this place each weekend for the entire summer and finally stopped there yesterday. WOW! What a dummy I am for passing by all those times before. I had the fish tacos and my wife had the chicken quesadilla and we were knocked off out feet by how great the food was. I feel like I could have eaten 8 of them. I will never pass this place again.

Was walking past and the simple menu grabbed my attention. Got 2 steak tacos. Awesome. Meat was tender and delicious. Would eat there again.

  • Michael F.

The problem here isn't the food (steak tacos are enhanced with sharp cheddar and a tasty sauce) or the service (very friendly and quick, for made to order food), it's the price. At $4 for a single, fairly small taco, this is a little steep for the Ocean City/Fenwick Island area. Even Walt Disney World, no place for bargain shoppers, sells tacos for $3 apiece. A good place, but pricey for small carryout tacos.

  • Alex J.

Nice size tacos, even if they are on the pricier side. Be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes for your order, or longer if there are crowds. Blackened fish tacos are spicier than expected! Quesadillas are also good, nice and cheesy. They have added an awning on the front which was desperately needed to shield the sun while waiting, and is a plus if you decide to just stand and eat at the built in counter.

  • K S.

Came here after hearing a lot of good things and it really lived up to the hype. My fiancé and I had the steak fajita, fried shrimp, and the fish taco and they were beyond amazing. Two tacos filled me right up and left a fantastic taste in my mouth!

    (5)
  • Ray G.

Pretty much the best tacos I have ever had! Well worth the wait! The blackened fish and veggie were amazing! If they were a bit quicker, 5 stars for sure.

  • SLebo L.

Two thumbs up. Great tacos and quesadilla's. Blackened mahi is the way to go, with steak being a close second. The chicken was ok, not bad at all, just not as good as the fish and steak. Give this place a shot for lunch. You won't be sorry.

    (5)
  • Chuck J.

This place is unique and awesome flavors. If your a taco fan or fan of something different this place is for you. All fresh ingredients and meats have awesome flavor. I wish we had someplace like this back home.

  • Rebecca K.

Disappointing. Received some attitude when I tried to customize part of the order to the eater's preferences - ended up withe literally beef and cheese in a tortilla, ugh. What happened to the salsa? We actually wanted that part of it. "Green Crack Sauce" = avocado + sour cream. Meh - can I just have fresh avocado next time? Oh, you don't actually have that as an option. Because there aren't many options! Overpriced, stingy, and elitist.

    (1)
  • Hermann S.

Good food, but small portions for the price. Pretty long wait for easy to prepare food. But all in all worth the wait.

  • Adam T.

On a quest to find the best fish tacos in Ocean City (a distinction previously held by Davey Jones locker room on the boardwalk), this place was quite a disappointment. I had both a fish and shrimp taco and both were mediocre at best. If you like a mediocre taco and paying a high price for it, go here. If not, don't waste your time.

    (1)
  • Gerard Z.

Great spot for some quick tacos. Not the cheapest in town, but you're paying for quality. I recommend the fried fish tacos.

    (4)
  • Eli K.

Great food for a decently good price. Would definitely come back for the chipotle chicken or steak tacos. Only downside was limited parking and some things seemed a little too salty.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
