Had breakfast here; between four of us we had three breakfast crepes and two dessert crepes. All were great and reasonably priced. It's also entertaining to watch them makes the crepes to order. One slight downside: they only offer one smallish size cup for coffee. I don't know if refills are available because the coffee pots were gone when my cup was empty (and I didn't ask about it).

My absolute favorite breakfast spot at the beach. I'm never been crazy about traditional breakfast foods, but Sunshine Crepes' extensive menu makes it so easy to find something delicious every time I go. The fruit crepes are amazing! My latest obsession has been the banana with cinnamon sauce, but I'm also a huge fan of the mixed berry. The service is always outstanding...the couple who run the restaurant are so friendly and accommodating! If you're not eating at Sunshine Crepes, you're definitely missing out!

Original Review Sept 2013 Our group found this secluded cafe accidentally. An oasis dessert cafe in a desert of typical fast food restaurants and ice cream shops. Pleasant, non-crowded surroundings. Crepes are thin and good. Toppings look great, but taste average. Service is average with a non-motivated staff. Only 2 cooks when our huge group of 16 arrived, so the individual care that a good crepe requires meant slower service. Our group was delighted nevertheless with getting an above average dessert. If they got better recipes, it would be out-of-this world. Highly recommended. Updated Review Aug 2015 Major update and Revision: The crepes, both dessert and entrees, were delicious ! I changed my 4 star rating in Sept 2013 to 5 stars for 2015.

Delicious and fresh. We had three crepes: erg and bacon, berries and Nutella, Banana with coconut and chocolate. All fresh fruit and real Nutella. Nice staff. Green Mountain coffee and fresh smoothies. Clean and worth repeating. It's tucked back off the Main Street. Worth it.

I'm giving this place a rating of five stars as far as the quality of food goes, but I'm deducting stars for coffee repeatedly running out, one of the worst iced coffees I've ever had, and a loyalty program that awards you a single bottle of water after spending at least $60. And after spending your second $60, you receive a free bottle of Coke. And finally after $180 you will receive your free crepe. I have been going to this crepe shop every summer since it has opened but I will never go there again. The owner only seems moderately interested in his customer base and is a quiet guy that doesn't respond to conversation anymore than he is politely forced to. None of these things upset me more than the arrogance within him that decided the structure of his loyalty program was a good business strategy. So because the owner is so off-putting and he has the worst loyalty program I've ever seen, I'm deducting a second star. Food is great, service is average, price is a little high, but the crepes are still great. Happy eating.

I've never had a crepe before, but my husband LOVES them. When he heard about Sunshine Crepes, it was high on his list of places to eat breakfast. So, today was the day! We arrived in the beach area early, just a few minutes before 8 in the morning. After securing a great parking spot, we were on our way to breakfast and arrived just as they were opening the door. It's a small place, but clean and bright and we found the staff to be very friendly. My kids were elated to see they offered waffles, because they weren't sure about the whole crepe thing. They gobbled up a giant waffle each. I ordered a Mixed Berry crepe with a little sweetened cream cheese...so good! The berries were so fresh and delicious. My husband had the Sausage, Egg, and Cheese crepe and no complaints. It was really a treat to have this breakfast and then spend the morning on the beach.

Fresh & yummy. Truly fresh, sweet and ripe fruit-- perfect breakfast spot before a beach day. Loved the fresh squeezed orange juice (so rare to find). My favorite was the Berry crepe of strawberries, blueberries, boysenberries & peaches with a dusting of powdered sugar.

They make every crepe with care, and delicious fresh ingredients. We've returned every summer since they opened, because everyone in the family loves both the savory and sweet crepes. Great lunch near the beach!

Super yummy! Amazing menu. Wanted to try them all! We had the supreme crepe and the banana, strawberry & Nutella crepe. Fresh quality ingredients. Delicious! We were there 2 weekends ago and have been talking about it since. Craving supreme crepe. Can't wait to go back.

We absolutely love this place. There are so many crepes to choose from and they're all delicious! I usually choose one with egg, spinach and mozzarella. My daughters like the sweet ones with chocolate. We go here nearly every day when we're in Bethany. I highly recommend it!

Great hole-in-wall place to grab food that's off the main drag! Not busy and quick service - you can watch them make the crepes right in front. Highly recommend the breakfast crepes, so delicious. Would definitely come back:)

Love the crepes, but not the service - hence 1 star down in ratings. We arrived at 5pm on Saturday with mouth watering desire for dinner crepes. But alas, we were turned away and suggested we should come back at 6:30pm, so that they may close down to run errands.

Great alternative to typical beach fare. It's tucked away and worth the search. You can't go wrong with a Nutella crepe! I really enjoy their savory crepes as well.

Yummy! Dessert and savory crepes. Try them all. The only thing lacking was the selection of drinks. Too many bottled items rather than a fresh glass of iced tea.

We stopped in here twice in one day and both times were amazing! The first time, the workers were super friendly and quick! The crepes were very good! We got a peach crepe and we watched them peel a fresh peach! All the ingredients were fresh and well prepared. The second time I got a crepe with egg whites, bacon, mushrooms, and cheddar. It was meant to have green peppers and onions but I asked for them to exclude them. They didn't understand what I was saying at first because they spoke mostly French. I also overheard a woman asking for a restroom and no one understood her. After they figured out what I was saying they were happy to help. The crepe was very good and I will be back again.

Crepes are good, but overpriced for me. The crepe itself wasn't special, and the ingredients aren't of spectacular quality, so $6-8 for one is a little much Service is fast and friendly though

  • Eric W.

The Yelp map is totally wrong. They are near the beach tucked inside the shopping center w/ the arcade on the 2nd floor. Crepes were tasty but they were overwhelmed fairly quickly and took a while. Staff was super friendly though and I would return.

We stopped in here to fuel up before our drive home. It is tucked away so I was glad they had a sign on the sidewalk to lure us in. So the crepes. Yum!! They were pretty darn good. I went for the egg, bacon and cheese; my husband had the egg, sausage and cheese; and our son had nutella with banana and strawberries. This is definitely a place that does not skimp on ingredients. All of the crepes were overflowing with goodness and left us quite satisfied. My son's sweet crepe had lost of fruit inside and on top. It's too bad we don't live closer, but will definitely be back the next time we are at the beach.

Not overly a fan of crepes, but I am a fan of Sunshine Crepes. It was very good. Period. Be sure to try one of their breakfast crepes if you're so inclined. If you're like me and you tend to skip breakfast, fear not! They have a large variety of options--including several with unconventional meats for crepes--and the proximity to the beach means you can hear the waves crashing while you're eating.

Came to Sunshine Crepes for breakfast one morning on a weekend trip to Bethany Beach. We were pleasantly surprised. The guy working there was really nice and went out of his way to make sure we had everything we wanted. I ordered a Supreme Crepe while a few of my other buddies ordered dessert crepes. The Supreme Crepe was basically a breakfast crepe and it was excellent. The lady making the crepes did a really good job. They also serve Coffee, and when i saw just light roasts, I asked them whether they had a darker roast, and he made a new pot just for me. That type of service where they go above and beyond, is one of the reasons why I love to support the local business over some national chain. If you are in town and love crepes, try this place. I'm definitely aiming to come back in a few months when i'm in town again.

I found this place on Yelp, which is probably a good thing because it's not the easiest to spot in town. It is tucked in an alcove about halfway between the entrance to the downtown area and the boardwalk on the right hand side if you are facing the boardwalk. I ordered the strawberry and chocolate crepes, which were made with Hershey's syrup and was a tad overdone... nothing special here. However, my mom ordered the Egg, Tomato, Basil, and Mozzarella crepe which was absolutely fantastic. All of the ingredients tasted very fresh. From what I could tell watching other crepes as they made their way to tables, the establishment places more care in their creation of the savory crepes than they do of the dessert crepes. My crepe was sloppily placed on my plate (as were other dessert crepes) while I noticed several savory crepes that were carefully done and arranged perfectly. Not a huge deal, but it was something I noticed. Service is speedy, and crayons and paper were available for my 21 month old son to keep him occupied while we ate. They hang the coloring pages on the wall, so I'm hoping if we go back we'll see his up there. Seating is a bit tight... be prepared to be sitting thisclose to the person next to you or behind you. I'd definitely go back again to try more crepes, but for my first experience, four out of five stars.

NOTE: For some reason, when I tried to use my iPhone to find this place using the address listed on this page, it took me to St. Mary's Catholic Church. The Google Map on the business page is also not reflecting where Sunshine Crepes actually is. It's in the downtown Bethany area, on the right side as you are heading towards the boardwalk. It's inside one of the little "malls" that front the street in this area. Tucked away inside a cluster of shops off the Bethany Beach downtown area, this crepe restaurant is a very cute breakfast stop. We had the daily special, the Sunrise, which was bacon, eggs, cheddar cheese and avocado, and it was delicious. We also tried the cinnamon sugar, which was simple but good. The ingredients were obviously very fresh, and the entire dish was prepared from scratch right in front of you. The crepes took about five minutes to prepare, but we felt that was reasonable given the from-scratch preparation. The cooking time might lead to some backups if you're there when it's crowded, but we think it is worth the wait.

You guys, its name is Sunshine Crepes. It is adorable. Its tucked into an adorable corner of an adorable boardwalk area shopping center. It is painted pink inside. Its name is Sunshine Crepes. They nailed adorable. Which is exactly what I want when I'm on vacation at the beach and I'm ready to take an early morning bike ride to brunch. So yay! We came to Sunshine Crepes at about 8:30 one morning and it was completely dead inside, which surprised me. The guy working the counter said that we were there the first week kicking off the "off season," but that they had had a busy summer. Also, Irene was coming...so that could have been a factor. I've had crepes a lot before, but I'd always gone for sweet over savory. This morning I decided to try a breakfast crepe and I was glad that I did. It was awesome! I forget the name, but it was egg, basil, tomato, bacon, (and possibly mozzarella.) Basically all of my favorite foods. I am a bacon/egg/breakfast fiend. And basil! Basil goes in everything I cook. You could probably just fill the crepe with enough egg to make the copious amounts of basil stick together and I would be over the moon. They're not quite as nuts as me on the basil here, but the flavor was evident so I was happy. It was delicious! My man gave his the thumbs up too. We both got coffee, the predicable but good Green Mountain blends. Service was great. The guy working was friendly and talkative and we didn't get the "ugh, you're tourists" vibe from him that seems ever present with some of the locals in resort towns. I really wanted to give this place another star, but their plates, utensils, and coffee cups are all disposable. Thinking of all the trash generated over a busy summer made me like this place just a little bit less, but they are still a newer business. I hope that once they've got a couple more years under their belts, they will upgrade.

This place is hidden in downtown Bethany Beach and it has become my families favorite breakfast place. We go here at least 3 times in the 2 weeks we spend here. There are many choices for anyone in the family. My kids always get the sweet crepes but I always get the savory(bacon, sausage , egg, etc). They also have a fresh squeezed orange juice machine and you can watch them make the crepes. This is a must go to when you are staying anywhere near Bethany.

We ordered 8 different types of crepes for a casual brunch while on vacation in South Bethany. After a week of cooking, I wanted something easy, not too expensive and yummy to bring home to satisfy a variety of tastes and diets -meat eaters and a vegetarian (me). Some of us are very health and diet conscious, other just want good food. We called in the order - which was nice - and I biked over to get it. Even though the crepes were carried back two miles - on mine and my daughter's bikes - they were warm, delicious, fresh and perfect. The only thing that didn't make the trip well was the home made whipped cream, but they warned us about that when we ordered. We'll definitely go back to Sunshine Crepes. I even like the name of the business. It was perfect for something different and delicious. I think the whole thing cost us about $60. Not bad for a meal for 5 people. (we ordered a few extra crepes just to try them.)

Stopped in on Sunday morning with my fiance and parents, who are in the process of moving to Bethany. Cute place with friendly staff and lots of delicious options at breakfast! We also saw some great looking lunch/dessert crepes on the board we will be coming back for. We ordered and sat to wait for our breakfast...Two of us got ours within a few minutes and they were fantastic (eggs, bacon, veggies) and very filling. Unfortunately, two of our orders never made it out. When we asked at the desk, they apparently didn't write the second two down so we had to wait for them to be made. The manager (I assume?) was incredibly professional and nice and actually came to our table to apologize and refund our money since two of us had finished our meals as the other two took over 15 minutes to arrive. This is great customer service that we appreciated very much and will ensure we return. I recommend Sunshine Crepes for a mellow, unique breakfast option right off the boardwalk...a great place for families, with options for everyone.

Sunshine Crepes is a hidden gem in Bethany Beach. Healthy and tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere. We ate there for the first time right after it opened. It was good then but now is fantastic, with the expansion of the menu, the seating and much improved customer service. We have watched this business grow each year since it opened and it's nice to see it succeed. Specifics about the food: fruit crepes feature all fresh fruit, which is a huge plus. You can make yours more of a dessert treat my ordering one with Nutella, chocolate or cinnamon if you choose. There are also breakfast crepes with eggs and choice of fresh veggies and/or meats. And, the latest I tried, could be for lunch/dinner -- chicken, tomato, mozarella and pesto! My daughter had chicken and avocado! Yummy lunch and a nice break from the heat. I can't say enough good things about this place and hope this great business will continue to thrive so I can go back next year! We are smoothie critics and those are also good at Sunshine Crepes (among the best smoothies we've had). I also liked the iced coffee.

I went to Bethany Beach this past weekend during the off season and discovered this treasure in the Bethany Beach Town Center! Open to the public for the season on April 1, 2011, this friendly and cute crepe store was such a treat. We had 2 small children with us who enjoyed watching the crepes being made (they have a small window where you can watch) and the staff was so helpful and welcoming. We ordered a strawberry crepe to split between 3 adults and the kids (as we were eating lunch shortly after), and ended up enjoying it so much that we ordered another strawberry and chocolate crepe. They were delicious, well prepared, well priced (about $5-6 per crepe) and most importantly FRESH! The strawberries were amazing. They mentioned that they also serve savory crepes with different cheeses, veggies and chicken. I cannot wait to try them again!

Outstanding. Best coffee in town. Crepes are outstanding. Very well done. First thing that got me hooked was grabbing a cup of coffee on the go: not only was it well-done and fresh, but I got a refill with my cup even if I walked out of the place. A few days later I and my family tried the crepes: light, warm, fresh. The fruit was just right (not the least bit stale) and the whip cream was fresh. Crepe's are not an every day thing. But as a beach trip, this place is well-worth the trip. Great little family business.

A solid place, but could be much better. I will say that service was excellent. But I have been eating the real french crepes over in Rehoboth for years so I have extremely high standards. The crepes here were very good, but they just weren't great. Everything was fresh but they were a bit dough-y. Also, we tried to sit outside but there were flies everywhere, so we moved in, and found there were still flies, but fewer of them. I don't understand why, because the place looked very clean. Maybe they need to hose down the outdoor furniture or something, but it was annoying. This place has plenty of different ingredient options, but none of them terribly creative, just the usual "this is what Americans think should go in a crepe" fare. The scallion, mushroom and swiss was very good, and about as unique as it gets here. Free refills on coffee and very friendly service though.

Found this place quite by accident yesterday morning as it was opening. We were window shopping after an early morning walk on the beach. Another person was just coming to check to see if it was open for the season and she was very excited. We raced back to the place we staying to pick up another friend. The place is not big, but the guy who was behind the counter was very friendly. Two of us had berry crepes; one person had eggs, bacon, swiss; and I had eggs, bacon, mozzarella, tomato, and basil. Since we tasted each I can honestly say they were all fabulous. It seems the locals definitely know about this place. Nice atmosphere. Will definitely go again.

This lovely little gem is located inside Bethany Beach Town Center, so not visible from the street but make the effort to go, folks! The owners are accomodating and friendly as can be, and there are breakfast choices from the simple (cheese crepe) to the fancy (bacon, spinach, mushrooms, mozzarella) and as good as can be. You can watch the crepes being made at the little window. There are also frozen drinks and coffee, hot chocolate, etc. Breakfast starts at $3.50! We didn't get back yet for a nutella and strawberry or a mixed berry crepe but saw one of those going out and it looked wonderful and clearly very fresh. Sweet and fruit crepes have whipped cream on top and you can add ice cream. We are delighted to see this addition to the Bethany food scene and wish the best to the young couple who are providing something new and tasty. I think you can call ahead and they will have it ready to take to the beach on a hot day. Do try them out, you'll be glad you did!

Most amazing. Quality food and lovely family who owns and operates this great little secret with lots of yummmmm! In it. Highly recommend it. Try the frozen hot chocolate too. It's become a tradition for us every year we come here. Recommendation to have a salad for those who are not able to enjoy these yummy treats.

First of all, Sunshine Crepes is open until 8pm - at least during the summer. We were surprised because the website showed open only until 2pm, so we were pleasantly surprised. To the owners - update your website and Yelp info, and you will likely get more traffic after 2pm. We ordered 4 crepes - California, Strawberry/Nutella, Ham/Swiss/Mushroom, and Ham/Cheddar - all were very tasty and good sized portions. One of the crepes could have been cooked another 30 seconds, but we enjoyed it regardless. We ordered a strawberry/banana smoothie. It was good, but we would have preferred more blended and smoother although this is a personal preference. The seating area was bright and nicely air conditioned. The 3 women working there were very pleasant, and worked well as a team. We'll definitely be back.
