Ample serving sizes - a small fry was half a brown lunch bag and the baby size steak was plenty of a portion! I had the specialty "Deerhead" steak sandwich which was awesome. A bit of a wait, but pardonable as everything is cooked up fresh.

So we moved to the area and wanted some "grilled" food we were not allowed to have grills at the complex we lived in so we looked up some places and tried Deerhead. Well I got the burger and was completely satisfied, their fries with cheese sauce were also good. My husband loves their deerhead dog. We also tried the cheese steak which I thought was just okay. We love their wings, except on one occasion the wing sauce was just drizzled over the top almost like they forgot to shake the wing sauce on them. The chef salad comes with so many toppings we love it. Finally we tried the pizza and love the crust, sauce, and cheese, the only problem is if you get any toppings you barely get any which is disappointing because we have tried other pizza places in the area and have hated all of them, this is the only one that has compared with the NY style pizza that we love since that is where we moved from.

Brought my daughter and her boyfriend here to use a Groupon. I thought it was just hot dogs, they have way too many items on the menu! I ended up with a French Dip, it was good. The meat was tasty and the bread was crusty. I would come back to try a few more items on the menu.

I definitely have mixed feelings. My boyfriend loved it but that's probably because they were playing the phillies game, and he liked the buffalo chicken cheese steak. I got the sweet teriyaki chicken cheesesteak, and it was ok. I will ask for light sauce next time because it was sickeningly sweet, I'm glad I got it without the sweet peppers. The girl that waited on us was polite. But considering it was a Wednesday night, and here was only one other couple there it took quite a while to get out food. I work at a Capriotti's, so I understand that it takes a little while to cook cheesesteaks, but they were not THAT busy. The decor is nice, looks like it was recently done. All in all I will probably end up going back, but I will modify my order or just try something else.

Stopped by for some hot dogs for lunch and figured I could try out this Deerhead site. There were all these ads in the parking lot about the foot long hot dog. Deerhead hot dogs are split and coooked on the grill or griddle, I am not sure. This makes am more flavorful hot dog with a good crisp outer casing and still moist interior. With the cooking the hot dog developed another layer of complexity to its taste and improves it substantially. You can get the hot dogs with "everything" which includes the Deerhead special sauce. The sauce itself is really a modified chili, so you are really ordering a chili hot dog. The chili is not a great thing, it is more reminiscent of a food mart, like 7-11, nacho chili rather then a rich small chain chili. While not bad neither is it great. Buns are soft and plain, pretty one dimensional. The smokey hot 1/4 lbs sausage was much better then the hot dog. The sausage is more substantial and has a smokey flavor as implied by its name. With the splitting and grilling this smokey flavor is enriched and becomes more complex. However, the plain bun does detract from the overall dish. I am still at odds whether I find the "special sauce" a bonus or a detraction from the sausage itself. Deerhead while a bit expensive for hotdogs are well made and good for lunch. The grilling definitely makes a big difference in the flavor.

This location has a large comfortable clean modern dining room and is situated next to a Five Guys and Moe's Grill. There's a lot of competition in this shopping center. I ordered Fresh cut fries, a Dog with the "secret sauce" and a drink, all for 5 dollars? Forget Five Guys, Deerhead every time!

While their hot dogs are good enough, their cheesesteaks and burgers are fabulous! And don't forget the yummy fries -- a small will feed at least two people, while a large works for the whole family.
