Is there anyone running this business? A bunch of teengagers were working tonight. And let me say working is using the term very loosly. The did not wait on people. The food was cold. People came in and found no one there as the entire staff was in the back messing around (you could hear them). It was a miserable experience. Someone needs to manage this place. The food quality was not good and the whole experience was pitiful. I love Big City Burrito and it is a shame to see such a poorly run business.

Such a disappoint! Nothing like the original potato burrito. They use different (cheap) cheese and cheap ranch dressing. I'm bummed...I was exited to live so close to my beloved potato burrito.

My boyfriend and I were in town doing some side work for my parents' business and we ended up here for lunch. Years ago when I worked up here, I ate here a few times and remembered it being pretty good. They operate just like Qdoba or Chipotle. You pick your ingredients as you go down the line and they wrap it up for you. They have an option of a jalapeno & cheddar tortilla for your burrito. That right there is fantastic! Love it! On this particular day, they had a $4 burrito special. I got the bay leaf chicken as my meat. I got sour cream, not realizing that this place, unlike any other burrito place like it, charges extra for sour cream. I was a little miffed over that... Anyway, the first bite, was juicy, tasty and exactly what I was hoping for. The second bite was meh... and so was the rest of the burrito. The chicken was so dry that not even the sour cream could save it. The black beans were undercooked and kind of hard. I got a chunk of chicken that was so big, so tough & dry that I couldn't bite through it at first and it came out of my burrito leaving a huge gap in my burrito. I couldn't eat the piece of chicken because it was so dry and chewy, I spit it out. Who knows, maybe next time I pop into Windsor I might end up here again just because there aren't a whole lot of options in that city. If I do, I'll let you guys know if it's any better.

I've been there probably 4 times in 2014 (windsor location) and have only had good experiences. The staff is young, but were nice to me. They have never been busy, so I couldn't say whether they are as good when there's a line. The burritos are great. The potato burrito is a classic and the others are great too. They are on par with all the other medium quality burrito shops like qdoba or chipotle. And the price is the same. They have specials during the week that are pretty good. I definitely recommend them.

If I had written this review six months ago, it would be different. I used to frequent the location in Broomfield and it was fantastic. Modern building, clean and efficient. The staff was great and knew my order. The Windsor location is a different story. Along with the nicer building and better service, the food quality suffered. While still superior to Qdoba or Chipotle in both quality, portion and price, it isn't outstanding. This goes for the Loveland location as well. Loveland has by far the worst customer service of any of their locations. If you are in Windsor and want a quick burrito you can choose between Taco Bell and Big City. Right now, I can't say for sure which I'd choose.

I would say a step up from Qdoba. The ingredients are fresh and always tasty. The spinach tortilla is awesome. Would give 5 stars but sometimes the staff isn't 1st class. Bunch of kids messing around while I'm trying to get my burrito. Also need a few more hot sauces but overall great

I don't have high expectations when I go into a shop that serves inexpensive burritos. I hope that the food tastes good, and that my purchase is greeted with a smile. the pros of this place are that they serve all day breakfast burritos. that is about it. Poor service, a grumpy owner, not accepting business 15 minutes before closing... You name it. Make this a last resort.

The hours say 9am-8pm. My boyfriend and I arrived well before 7:30pm on a Saturday to find the open sign turned off, nearly all of the lights off, and the owner cleaning up inside. Change the hours on the door if you want to close earlier. Other times that I have come here have I discovered (in the mere two minutes it takes to make a burrito) that the owner is very rude. I was taken aback when right after walking in I was very bluntly asked "what do you want?" So disrespectful. Then, the whole time he was taking and making my order he acted like it was a big inconvenience for him to even interact with a customer. I love Big City Burrito, but this particular location's customer service has forced me to take my business elsewhere. I would encourage you to do the same.

If you have an iron stomach then go for it, otherwise the food is like a gut bomb. Coupons are not received graciously either.

Over priced for the quality of food you get. I would much rather pay the same price and go to Cafe Mexicali which is only about 10 minutes further away in Greeley.

This is my first 5 star rating since I started yelping and unfortunately for me this place is hundreds of miles away. Its basically a Chipotle but not corporate size. My 5 stars are based on the experience I had with this place a couple of years ago when I attended a school across the road. I think I came here pretty regularly sometimes twice a week. I think one time I went three times in a week. They were the best and I hope they still are because I would love to eat one of their burritos again. I guess they were just unique, not authentic Mexican, not Chipotle, not like anything I've had before really. MMMM...carnitas, potatoes, ranch, etc....mmmm. Come to the Midwest, I'm serious!!!

We stopped by here for the first time today. It's more of a low budget mom-and-pop eatery than an actual restaurant. But with that aside... The food is great! We each ordered a regular burrito and made sure they were different and both were really good. The chicken tasted fresh and was moist and the tortillas were soft. We also got a side of guacamole and chips and two drinks. It's a little pricy, $23 for two people but the portions made it work out. The staff was super friendly and helpful as we weren't quite sure what we wanted. We will definitely go back! I've seen some reviews comparing them to Qdoba and I wouldn't say it is better or worse. In my opinion they are two very different FLAVORS and equally good.

It's a great place and good food. The inside of building is ran down but I'm from Houston and there are restaurants like this everywhere so I'm not offended. Beats Qdoba anyday! Kind owners too!

It is local, it has become a chain, and it is awesome! They make burritos, and they make them well. It seems this has become a NoCO favorite.. It's a small, simple, tasty place to eat. If you want a burrito, go try Big City. You won't be disappointed. At least I hope not. And if you want my "best burrito ever invented" Get a Tomato-Chili tortilla, with cheese, potatoes, carnitas, and a squirt of hot sauce.....mmm mmm heaven! They make tasty breakfast burritos too. This Windsor location is much cleaner, has better seating, and MUCH better parking than the Fort Collins location. And the employees have been friendly every time I've eaten here. Some reviews seem to point to the fact that the Big City Burrito chain is the greatest burrito place in the history of the world....sadly I don't think that is true, but it's still good. I'm not going to rave that all of their food is "the best you'll ever taste" or to "Never go anywhere else", because I have had a lot of good burritos over the years from a lot of different places. But I have never had a BAD burrito from Big City.

My husband and I came in for breakfast, he is a fan. We both ordered burritos. The tortilla was so dry it cracked up the side! I cannot stand a dry tortilla! and the potatoes and chorizo were also dry...how do you have dry chorizo???? It ruined my experience, I will probably not return again.

Seriously, burritos do not get any better then this! I agree with Bryan that the Windsor location is very friendly- parking, customer service, lack of lines out the door and around the block (thanks to the CSU students that flock to the Ft. Collins location.) Though I have to differ, VERY slightly on the "best burrito ever invented"- whole wheat tortilla, no cheese, carnitas, potatoes, black beans, corn salsa, ranch, guacamole, and chipotle hot sauce. Freakin' amazing. Seriously.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
