Food is decent but we literally live 1.5 miles away if that, and we get charged an extra $5-7 per delivery order... And some days they tell us it is too far to deliver to. Total bummer, they may have lost some good paying customers. I like that they don't use msg though, so that might keep us eating there.

I love this place. Great lunch specials, beer and wine, they know you as soon as you WOK in the door (wokka wokka wokka!). I love their Mu Shu chicken and eggrolls. Highly recommend.

I love this place for cheap, great Chinese food. I usually always stick to what i know i will like. The owners are nice as it seems like a family run business. they are always friendly and service is always quick Chicken fried rice is excellent and such a big portion when you get the dinner size for around $7 I also get the Mongolian Beef but ask for it Extra spicy and with some extra sauce. It always comes back perfect with a nice kick. Another favorite is the Sesame Chicken with extra spicy of course... Everything is good.

You'd never expect fresh, MSG-Free Chinese food from a dingy strip center behind a 7-11 on Federal Blvd in Federal Heights, Colorado. You'd never expect light, flavorful dishes, free of that over-greased residue many Chinese dishes these days suffer from. Thousand Woks is certainly a Diamond in the Rough. We shared hot tea (I do not and never will trust a Chinese restaurant that does not make a killer kettle of tea.) We ordered the PuPu Platter for two: $9. It arrived on a round platter, with a Oriental-Designed fire-pit in the center... with a FLAME actually burning in it. SO picturesque and fun! But.... the food. That's the real test. So? Their PuPu platter consists of: 2 Spring Rolls. Filled with ACTUAL shrimp, crisp veggies and mushrooms, light & flaky wrapper, and no residual grease to be found. Spectacular. 2 "Hot" Chicken Wings: A "hot and sour" type of glaze on the wings, which were hot and juicy, worked perfectly. 3. Four "Crab Rangoon" wontons. Again free of the grease that can overpower fried foods. Sweet cream cheese filling. Yum. 4. Two beef skewers with pineapple. Tender and teriyaki seasoned, fun to 'toast' over the flame and tasty! 5. Two fantail shrimp, butterflied and fried. Light and crisp, and not skimpy on the shrimp. 6. "Chicken Toasts" ...Still not sure exactly what these were... toast triangles with sesame paste and seeds on it. Interesting, but not our favorite out of all these goodies. The platter is served with Duck Sauce and Hot Mustard. Dinner: Happy Family. Shrimp, Scallops, Pork, and chicken cooked with chinese vegetables cantonese style. Served with Fried Rice. The shrimp and scallops were plentiful and large. The chicken and pork were melt-in-your-mouth tender. This dish really impressed me with its' lightness. Too often, Chinese Restaurant food sauces have a cloying, too-thick-too-sweet-too-salty flavor. This sauce melded perfectly and went down smoothly. The fried rice was a simple acoutriment. We will DEFINITELY be back... in fact, I almost went for lunch today! Thumbs Up!! * Pros: Fresh and Fun Chinese Cuisine * Cons: Location

I gave it a shot because the reviews seemed favorable i tried the sesame chicken dinner i was pleased with the large portion of chicken but i was not pleased with the actual chicken, the flavor was good and it was eatable but it was soggy and mushy so the texture was not pleasing also the rice was very dry overall i was not happy. Definitely not worth the $12 not including drink I don't mind spending but definitely not worth it...

Good, but nothing to call home about. Fast, hot and cooker fresh which are all a plus. Inconsistency is their problem. Every so often the food isn't very flavorful and one time the egg rolls had a cinnamon flavor they had never had before. Good enough to be the Chinese delivery of choice in the area. Sesame chicken is good almost always

Amazing! Everything is always freshly prepared and delicious! The costumer service is amazing! I always call in for delivery and they show up with my food in less than 15 minutes. The lunch special is great! I always get the Sesame Chicken with egg drop soup. The chicken is always crisp, never soggy or mushy. The egg drop soup has a nice, flavorful texture! Thick egg whites and crisp veggies. Overall my favorite place to dine or munch on at home!

Food wasn't terrible, but wasn't exactly good either. My dining companion said it was "decent". Egg drop soup has big chucks of egg white; which I found pleasant. Vegetables are fresh and cooked perfectly. Main components of entrees were a bit bland. The tofu tasted oddly buttery (Kung Pao Tofu dish), which I found off putting and not tofu I have had at other Asian/Chinese restaurants. Crab cheese wonton filling was good. We won't eat here again. just not worth it.

we saw some good reviews and decided to go check it out and were pleasantly surprised. not only is the food better than you'd expect for the unasuming strip behind a 7-Eleven. it was a nice place to go and eat in. as far as i can tell everything was made fresh. the wontons came out piping hot and full of deliciousness. same with the hot and sour soup. and they had some of the best mongolian beef i've had at a chinese restaruant where you have to ask for chopsticks. :P we grabbed a menu on our way out. i think we found a new place to order delivery from. :D

The Good: I have been eating here ever since I first moved to Colorado in '99. The food hasn't changed which is a great thing. The service is always good and the food is always great. Cashew chicken with steamed rice is my favorite dish on the menu. The dinner portion is enough for 2 people. The Bad: This is one of the rare times that I don't have something to complain about. The Ugly: The area has changed over time. The area is over crowded and makes this location tricky to get to. I give this place 5 stars easily!

We ordered: Mongolian beef and sesame chicken lunches, also chicken wings, and lunches came with wonton soups. The chicken wings were not what I had in mind, and weren't good. Coated with sesame sauce, but the chicken itself wasn't good. The beef was mostly a bed of onions, not enough beef. But, the onions were more flavorful than the bland beef, so that worked. The beef did not have any flavor. Salt, pepper, garlic, nothing. No flavor. The sesame chicken was chewy in a bad way. The spring roll was fabulous--fabulous, awesome, great--really good spring roll, and the wonton soup broth was decent, but the wontons were not. The first and last time that I will order food from here. It was prepared freshly, it was served hot, but it was not seasoned well or enjoyable. The beautiful interior and full parking lot suggested that we would have a good experience, but this was not the case. We were disappointed because we don't live far away, but we will continue searching for our local Chinese dive.

I've eaten house egg foo yung all over the country. It's almost always prepared the same way. This however, was the worst I've ever had. First of all, it was breaded. Nobody breads egg foo yung! Second, the traditional brown sauce was nothing more than beef gravy. Needless to say I will not be ordering it again.

Is it Thousand of Wok, Thousands of Woks, or Thousand of Woks? Your guess is as good as mine, because each variation thereof appears, at some point, in connection to this business. The sign out front, online listings, and menu inside all disagree. And really, contradictions are the appeal of Thousand(s) of Wok(s). For example, there are beer signs decorating the business, but no alcohol on the menu. There are healthy items on the menu, including quite a few vegetarian options, and yet the noodles are downright greasy. And this might make you wince: the clear windows on the doors into the kitchen are covered up with some homemade black... stuff. For me, Thousand(s) of Wok(s) is an enigma, wrapped in a riddle, wrapped in a wonton skin. My lo mein was delicious, but only after I drenched those MSG-free noodles in soy sauce (the high sodium kind -- that's what's on the tables). There were lots of green and white onions in my otherwise low-veggie noodles. And all of this left me confused. Do I like this place? Is it a place to avoid? I'm not really sure. Maybe further investigation is necessary, or maybe I'll never understand a business with so many woks.

We were worried about moving and picking a new place to order food - especially no website to even know what they have BUT to our relief it was great! Easy to order for pick up and fast! 10-15 minutes tops

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
