I love this place! We order from this restaurant at least once every 2 weeks or so. The green chili plate (only $7!) is my favorite. You can order the green chili mild, hot or half and half. Unless you like it really hot then I would suggest half and half! We live very close to Las Palmas II and so typically order our food to go. When we have eaten at the restaurant the staff has always been friendly and attentive. I never noticed the .75c for refills that was mentioned in the other review, but I will have to look next time I am in. Of all the Mexican restaurants we have tried in the Westminster/Arvada area, this is definitely our favorite!

I Love this resturant! The food is always delicious! I actually eat here two to three times a week. (since I work across the street). The staff is very friendly! So far I have tried the Menudo, 5 of the different Taco Plates, Rosted Mex Chicken Plate, Burritos, Chili Reaunos and much more. All the dishes were great and prices lower than the competition. Keep up the great work!

We used an Entertainment book coupon here and decided we will definiately be back, even without a coupon. The food was reasonably priced, very tasty (I had the chimichanga, yummy). The service was great and the food came out quickly. We thought it was weird that there was only 1 other occupied table at 7pm on a Saturday night, and were also surprised to see on the menu that refills on sodas were .75. Other than that, we really liked it.

Excellent Mexican with green chilie. Service was quick, friendly, and the food came out quickly and exactly as ordered.

Excellent food and service for a low price. Typical casual Mexican decor. Friendly, fast and accurate wait staff. Been there many times and NEVER had a problem. Entertainment book BOGO entree makes you feel like you stole the food.

I have eaten here several times . Breakfast , lunch and dinner. Never disappointed. Ordered steak burrito's for breakfast to go for my boys and they loved it!

"Caldo Des Res", "Caldo 7 Mares" read the bold tacky stickers on the front window of the restaurant. My first thought was "Oh gosh! How ghetto is this place?" The black leather looking booth that I sat down on showed heavy signs of wear. The table is clean; the room well lit. I am greeted with a basket of corn chips and a bowl of salsa within one minute of sitting down. Then my drink order (water) is brought out to me within another minute. I am not very picky when it comes to ordering food. The most important quality I look for is that the food is not too spicy. I think anyone can make food spicy, but only great cooks can make food flavorful. I decided on the "Shrimp and Bacon Fajitas". While I waited for my meal I heard children laughing, families talking and the baseball game playing in the background. A two-year-old boy came wandering up to my table, smiled goofily then stumbled away. The wait-staff were dressed tidily, and spoke with kind voices, always bearing genuine smiles as they succinctly worked together. The salsa had a slight spice to it, more flavor than heat. Just thirteen minutes after I ordered, my fajitas were placed in front of me, I waited for them to finish sizzling before I started wrapping them up. Some people may say that Mexican food is unhealthy or too spicy, but that depends on what you order, with my meal I got plenty of vegetables, the shrimp tasted fresh and there were plenty of options on their menu that were not too spicy which the wait-staff are more than willing to point out for you. Others may say, "don't go there the service will be poor" or "the restaurant will be dirty". However in my experience Taqueria Las Palmas II is a very clean, well-serviced restaurant with the benefits of a high end restaurant but with a more affordable price tag and a family friendly environment. I ended up taking half of it home in a box and had it for lunch the next day. I paid $19 total for my meal and it was worth every penny. I would recommend Taqueria Las Palmas II to anyone who loves Mexican food mild or spicy or wants excellent serve at an affordable price.

I hate doing this, but we most likely won't be back. My hubby is a vegetarian, we ordered veggie fajitas and then about halfway through the meal uncovered bacon at the bottom of the veggie pile. The problem is not that he's offended by meat like some PETA activist. The problem is that he hasn't eaten it for over 20 years and it makes him ill. Not a pleasant evening. Bummer.

With a terrific combination of service and great food, this really is as good as it gets. The place is family owned and the entire family is warm and friendly. Frequent customers are addressed by name, and if you have a favorite on the menu (as I do) they will often ask if you are getting your usual order. The food is second to none I usually get the Carne Asada and the steak, beans and rice are simply to good to leave any on the plate. They have a full bar and you have to try the terrific margarita's. I would also recommend the fried ice cream or flan if you a fan of those items.

Nom Nom. I get their #8 (veggie burrito) on a weekly basis, and my coworkers eat there on a regular basis. Always delicious! The staff is also super friendly and efficient.

strange I've been eating here for years and just realized that i never wrote a review... Anyway my review starts where the dining experience starts with the chips and salsa, the chips are average nothing fancy but do there job but the salsa is pretty tasty with a little kick nothing to make you rush for water but just the right kick. now we move onto the margaritas and the only thing holding back my 5 star review and that's because they are just a little on the weak side. As for the food I typically I stick to some type of beef burrito and they have never let me down, decent portions and tons of flavor wrapped up in there. So stepping out side of the box I tried the steak tacos and I was blown away! 3 tacos well packed with chunks of steak and other accessories that added to the deliciousness. I would have to say the north metro lacks decent mexican food but this place defiantly hits the spot!

Sorry Taqueria Las Palmas II, aint going to get our love... Its was almost packed with other patrons mostly Americans and Hispanic. Is this a good sign? I doubt so. The Décor is still filled with Christmas ornaments and some Sombrero - (Mexican Hats) and pictures. That recent visit was on Sunday January 5th 2014. For Lunch about 12:50hrs ish. When we enter, one of the Staffs, said, we can seat anywhere. The Booth seats that is nearest to the Door was our choice. The staff then gave us the Menu and left. We talk to another staffs about the Menu , and he mentioned that I cannot "a la carte" my Tacos order.. He explained something about the "preparation" what nots etc etc.. Still I don't understand. Oh well... *BIG BUMMER & BIG SIGH* From the Menu, we opt to have : * Smothered Burrito ($8.00) * Beef Asada Tacos * Small bowl of Menudo ($6.00) * Coffee for Hubs ($1.99) The food took awhile to be ready. By the time our food came to our table, we already finish the Complimentary Chips and Salsa, that was how hungry we were. Take note, once you finish those Chips and Salsa, they will charge you $1.50 for additional Chips and Salsa. It took almost half an hour for our order to be ready. Hmm, by that time, Hubs was a little upset. Maybe due to "overwhelmed" kitchen staffs, the weekend and its also the Lunch time, hence the "delay" OR WHY The Food Took So Long To Be Cooked/Ready?? At least one of the lady staffs offered several refills for Coffee. Unfortunately the Smothered Burrito comes with Ground Beef and NO Rice. Hubs became Unhappy Camper indeed! My order of Small Menudo lack of flavors and the punch that I am used to. The Menudo came out lukewarm. The Menudo broth was too diluted for my taste bud. EPIC FAIL in my books. *ANOTHER MEGA SIGH* The Beef Asada Tacos Plate was Ok, but nothing stood out. It comes with 3 Tacos, Chopped Beef with Pico de gallo, Cilantro, Chopped Raw Onions, Radishes and a Slice of Lime at the side of the plate. The conclusion we had that afternoon at this establishment were Overpriced food, and its was just MEH for the both of us. Its MORE like Americanized-Mexican cuisine for this establishment. The cost of our lunch was $27 with tips and tax. Left the establishment almost at 14:00hrs ish. Sorry Taqueria Las Palmas II for this rant. Over priced food, friendly but) very slow service. The green chili was good. The menudo lacked any flavor. Even after adding salt, pepper, onions, and about an entire lemon. The huevo con chorizo was ok but bland.

Went in today looking to undo a workout at Planet Fitness, which is in the same plaza as this establishment. We were seated immediately upon walking in, greeted with chips and salsa. The sign out front indicated that their Wildberry margarita was on special, so we decided to try one. Horrors. One of the most sickly sweet, syrupy awful drinks I've ever had. Not the slightest bit of alcohol could be detected. The hubs and I don't eat meat, so we opted for bean burritos. They came out only a couple minutes after we ordered them. Normally, fast service is good but this was too fast, if you know what I mean. The food was barely warm. It consisted of a smallish flour tortilla, filled with refried beans, and since none of their green chili was meatless, they had to put red sauce on the burritos. Truly bland, tasteless food. Also got a side of rice which was also very bland. Maybe this is a meat-eaters paradise and we just weren't a good fit. The place really needs a good cleaning, as there was crap on the floors, peeling paint and crusty menus. Everything felt sticky and gross.

I have lived by this place for over 7 years but was too scared to go in. I cant believe how foolish I have been and how much time I have wasted on trying to find other good Mexican restaurants. And all this time the most awesome Mexican restaurant is right around the corner!!! Taqueria Las Palmas II Its rundown inside but once you taste their food, the decor doesn't matter. The Food is DELICIOUS!!! I had dinner there tonight and I am already craving it again.

This place is the best. I recently moved from Cali, im a native of Cali, and havent been able to find some decent mexican food! Everything is knock off groud beef, gross. If your looking for authentic mexican food and excellent service, come here! My fiance and I's first time, we will def be back. I had the quesdilla supreme w chicken and guacamole, and my fiance had the #13 a carne asada burrito. We recommend both highly (: Make sure that you order a side of guacamole with whatever you get, ITS THE BEST!!! Happy Eating, Shayne

Okay, I gotta bump them up a notch. Make that a 3 1/2 stars. Good bowl of menudo, pan bread on request. Cheap prices! So much so that I didn't want to bother using my coupon for $35.00 for them since there were just two of us. The wife liked her gringo-ish combo of chile relleno, cheese enchilada and quac tostada. Again the proximity effect kicks in 'cause this place isn't too far away from the house and it's miles closer than any of our other favs (ie Tacos y Salsas or Taqueria El Trompito) up on this side of town.

Stop number 2 on the discount book world tour; Buy one entree + 2 drinks, get one entree free... We've eaten at Las Palmas 2 a few times before, its not the first location that comes to mind for us when the posse's in the mood for Mexican eatin. It's close to the house, they serve alcohol and the kids are relatively behaved if we plan ahead ie. something to keep them occupied. The food is decent, the service is always friendly and did i mention they serve alcohol? Word.

Authentic Mexican Food. Enjoyed great food and very nice waitresses. They also serve alcohol beverages. Our favorite go to Mexican Restaurant.
