Service, Quality AND Presentation have ALL slipped at the Outback. Robot-like service has already been mentioned by others: not bad, just... Disinterested and Uninteresting. Their prices have gone up (minimally, but still...) and portions have gotten smaller. Apparently, they no longer hand-cut their steaks, and the quality of the beef suffered. And they have a clever way to get rid of their "about to go bad" tenderloin: Put it on 3-4 different menu items, all toting "Sliced Roasted Tenderloin" and all that are available "When Available" ... which translates to "When our Tenderloin in the 'fridge is about to go bad" and also means "We Don't Ever Have This Item." I had the 6oz Sirloin with Scallops over Mango Salsa with a Sweet Potato. The Sweet Potato was the shining star of this place. The steak was a tad overcooked but not gristly as others have complained. The scallops, which I had been randomly craving for a week, were overcooked but still devoured them. (A craving is a craving.) But the issue was really the presentation... It was literally as if the food had been slapped on the plate. Just no care. The man's Teriyaki Sirloin was "Good." (That's a direct quote.) The teriyaki flavor wasn't very strong, and again, the Sweet Potato was the shining star. We both polished them off. His Caesar Salad filled literally half the plate it was presented on. It was insulting... I mean... It's just lettuce. It's cheap. Load that plate up, Baby! Plus: All through our meal we had to listen to the table next door's ordeal of under/overcooked food and manager visits to beg forgiveness and offer freebies etc, etc, etc. Kudos to the manager for making the effort to speak to the table, but un-Kudos to making it the evening's Live Stage Show for everyone nearby. We left without dessert, and will go back just to spend the rest of the Gift Card we were given.

6 family members went to Outback tonight for my 47th birthday. I was carded when I ordered one of their specialty mixed drinks. I did not have my ID with me, the waitress was pissy and told me she could not serve me. I am 47! Some people think this is a compliment, but let me tell you, it is no compliment. The manager came over and told me she cannot serve me and then asked what I wanted, like she was put out. I have been to this outback at least twice a month for 15+ years and have NEVER been carded or treated like this. I ordered the lobster tails, so did my 11 year old son, my adult daughter ordered the steak and lobster, everyone's was perfect except mine. Mine was burnt and half the size of everyone else. When they finally served me my drink, it was virgin - no alcohol, but they charged me the entire $7 for it. My husband ordered the same drink and his tasted normal, mine tasted like a 7-11 Slurpee, absolutely no alcohol. Our waitress was uninterested and mostly missing in action, with no regard to clearing plates or asking how things were. I was visibly unhappy during the entire meal, no one gave a damn. Nothing was comped, but at the end the waitress did give us a coupon for a bloomin' onion for our next trip there. I left it with her deserved 4% tip, perhaps she can use it in the future, as I am never going back. I don't know if this place is under new management, but I have never been treated so poorly, served such horrific food and been disrespected like this in a restaurant before. Expensive $200 lesson for our family (not to mention it took an hour and 45 minutes to finish - we waited around for everything), hope this saves someone else some money. Don't eat here. The one star is too much, wishing it had a 0 option. Outback, you just lost a long time returning customer.

Fantastic Food! Spectacular Service! I had the Bone-in Ribeye, and my wife had the Ahi Salad. Both were wonderful and prepared perfectly. And they have added so many wonderful sides to the menu like the steakhouse mac & cheese, and garlic parmesan fries. The service was off the chart thanks to awesome Alyssa! We had a seemingly never-ending series of requests, including viewing the US open finals (boohoo Federer) and Alyssa accommodated them all with great energy and a wonderful smile. She had an amazing attitude which made the whole experience relaxed and perfect for these two weary travelers. I travel a lot and would have to say this is one of the better Outbacks.

Before I start this review, let me point out that I think Outback is a good restaurant with some good food. However, I visited this location the other day for the first time during lunch. I went to sit at the bar and no one greeted me. I waited for about 20 minutes and still no one even said "hi" to me. There were employees walking around so they definitely noticed me. After 25 minutes of waiting, I walked out the door and not one person said a word to me. I'm hoping that was just a fluke occurrence but that's my experience here.

Not worth the $$$ anymore. Last two times in the ribeye was flat, less than 1/2 inch thick and half fat. Very disappointing considering the prices. My husbands steaks were ok, he got the big steak. I forget which one. While i love their coconut shrimp, we decided not to go back anymore. We have found Texas Roadhouse has great steaks and they cook them right.

Lazy diner syndrome took me here on a cold night. Everybody knows the lazy diner syndrome. You simply cannot decide on dinner nor make an effort to drive a little to find adventurous eats. So...as I was driving past the rows of restaurants, I succumbed to the lazy diner syndrome... and I find meself in the Outback. It is an Outback. Consistent and mundane. I plopped myself down at the bar and was served shortly. And yes, I got a Miller lite. Yes... very run of the mill , typical pale ale of no distinct flavor nor profile. It was cold and that was good. Dinner , .. yes I had some. I forget what it was. It was either chicken or steak. It was hot and salty. Totally fitting for a plate of grub. However, the highlight of the meal, was the patrons around the bar. I finally clued in.. this is like 'Cheers'. Everybody around the bar, knew everyone else, except me. It was interesting to watch the banter. And then there was the odd and awkward glances looking over to me. Yes, yes.. i am not in the circle of trust yet, but please let me observe your banter. I enjoyed my meal. It was a standard Outback place. With standard stuff.

Honestly I don't know why I keep coming back. The hamburger was under cooked and the french fries were almost raw and I ordered them crispy! The bathroom was dirty and it needs repair. The hand soap thing are bottles everyone has to pick up and touch. Wow how sanitary is that???? Really where is their "home office"???? Are they not watching their franchises?

Great food! Perfectly cooked! Friendly service! We had a great night! Apparently my review needs to be longer... My wife and I came here to celebrate the life of a loved one and they did a great job here and we were able to enjoy ourselves. One of our drinks took a really long time to arrive and when the waitress (Stephanie M) noticed that it did not arrive she promptly when to get it and apologized for the wait and made sure everything was great! And she was right, the firecracker salmon was delicious!

Definitely more impressed this time then my visit on Mother's Day. I can't believe I was met by Brian at the door and he remembered both myself and my wife this is after probably seeing a couple thousand people in the last month. I once again had the prime rib and the sweet potato my wife had full rack of ribs and a sweet potato. Both our meals were very good & cooked to order. This time we had an outstanding server named Sunshine. A very adorable and intelligent young lady who was attentive. * A note to management/owners please use these two employees as a benchmark for who you hire and keep employed in the future. It will serve you well to do so.

I wanted to eat here today, but apparently I'm not allowed in the restaurant with my starbucks coffee cup... Just a quick advice... Offer a solution instead of "you can't promote other businesses in the Outback Restaurant, you get me?" On top of that, dude try to understand that Starbucks is not in any way the "competition"!!! "You get me?"

Worst service ever. To start the night off we asked for two blackberry martini's. Our server Audrey brought us two sangria's. We both looked at each and asked if they were out of martini glasses that's when she replied she rung in two sangiras. Took awhile to get our martinis. We then ordered an appetizer. When the appetizer was served we asked for two plates as it was messy. We waited and waited and waited and when were about through she brings us two plates. A little late for that.. I've eaten here before and the service was a little better than we we got the other night. Food was good wished there were a few more pepper s and onions on the teriyka steak.

We ate here several months back, and I'm just getting around to posting a review. It was our first and last visit. The food was mediocre. They are using fancy plating to get out of giving larger portions. The bathroom was filthy. Overall experience was very poor.

What do you say about Outback that everyone doesn't already know? This particular location is clean, service is fine, food is consistent. They are stepping up their happy hour. Right now they offer two for one drinks but no food specials. They are gonna add food specials to that soon. What I like about this chain steakhouse is that they season their meat but not too much. If you know steak, it shouldn't be season much or not at all (depending on the cut) if it is good beef. It is still my favorite chain steakhouse although I haven't tried Ted's Montana grill that my friends rave about.

We ate at the Westminster location last night. I got the filet and shrimp deal it was the toughest filet I have ever had. The flavor wasn't all that impressive either. My Husband got the baby back ribs the fake smoke flavor your using is over powering and do you boil your ribs? Our server was nice. I was not impressed with the hostess folding silverware on the bench where a million butts have been - at the front door. But for a $65.00 we should have gone to Columbine Steak House (the dive) and spent 1/2 the money for better food.

We eat at outback quite a bit when traveling, therefore we are very familiar with their fare. We were terribly diss appointed with this location. We had the unlimited shrimp. They were out of 2 kinda of the endless shrimp- leaving one over breaded type. So- we couldn't eat anymore, than he told me the unlimited shrimp add on for my meal was $6.00, and it was actually $9.00. They didn't tell us they were out of the unlimited shrimp until after our apps & salads were done, or we would have gone somewhere else since we really both wanted lots of scampi I tried their new Piña Colada that was supposed to have a floater of fresh macerated pineapple, and a slice- it also had neither items in it. Nothing was comped, we won't be back sadly!

This was the second time that I ate at this particular location and was again underwhelmed. Our server was nice but distracted the entire meal. I ordered the sirloin with wild mushroom sauce and a side salad. The salad was great, however they served me a steak the size of a playing card and about an inch and half thick. I will say that it was done exactly as I ordered. I thought that this was a joke. I've never been served a steak so small in my entire life. To add insult to injury I had about a teaspoon of sauce on top. This will be the last time my family eats at Outback. My daughter and I shared the brownie dessert, she commented that the brownie was bigger than my steak. My final thoughts: a lot of hype, no substance.

I had their steak and lobster special. A 6oz sirloin and grilled lobster tail. I usually get good food there. But this time the steak was overcooked and tough as shoe leather. The lobster was chewy and rubbery and not even the butter sauce could save it. Looks like someone fell asleep at the grill this time.

I'm not a chain guy, but before the gorgeous Miss X and I headed to the Paul Simon concert we stopped here. In a bit of a hurry ,we asked waitress Elenia what would be quick. She recommended their new wood smoked petite steak and chicken combo. It arrived promptly. It was incredibly good, juicy hot and quick. Our cocktails were also outstanding (see my pics). But best of all was Elenia, who glided hither and fro making sure our food was quick, our bill came early for quick payment and her recommendations were spot on!

2.5 stars. chain restaurants tend to underperform, and this is no exception. With huge marketing departments, they're very good at presenting themselves, but in the process create an image it's hard for them to live up to. Despite the crowded parking lot, we only waited a minute or two. Our table was clean, a nice break from the sticky tables I've been getting lately. I got a lunch special: Steak on Foccacia bread. I ordered a Caesar salad with it. The portions were small, the lettuce wilted. The sandwich was ok. The high. Point was a small bowel of gravy that was tasty and didn't seem to have unwanted extra ingredients. My companion fared better, ordering steak with a baked sweet potato. The sweet potato was the high point of the meal, as others have noted. But that's pretty lame for a steak house. The service was perfunctory, but punctual. Chain restaurants just aren't my thing. This was my first visit to an outback. Now I know.

Our steaks were just about perfect: Done exactly as specified, extremely tender, very flavorful. The grilled shrimp appetizer was also excellent: Juicy, flavorful, with light, appropriate seasoning. about eight good-size (not jumbo) shrimp to a serving. I could easily make a meal out of a few more of them. Service was quite all right: attentive, and pleasant. Everything came out fairly quickly. The ambiance is of course pseudo-Australian (it's their thing), but not overwhelming and not silly. Overall, our visit was quite enjoyable. For comparison, I'd say the steak was noticeably better than Texas Roadhouse (which is very good). Outback's slightly more expensive, but at least I can hear myself think. I've never been to a TX Roadhouse that wasn't deafening, and didn't feel like I was one of as many seatings as possible to be crammed in to the space and time available. Not like that here, at all. Now, about that extravagant - for me - rating. It's not really a 5-star place by my personal rankings; I've been to maybe 3 of those in my life, and they tend to be rather more extreme (and expensive) experiences. I used it here because I felt I had to do something to raise the average of this place; it seems to have been given a bad rap by people who come in saying "I don't like chains, never will" and then find something to complain about. Ratings are all about expectations, and this place definitely exceeded mine.

The food was acceptable, but the waiter, and the hostess left a lot to be desired. The hostess champed gum the whole time we were there. The waiter, was slow, we had to ask several times to get any refills. However, we noticed the table next to our received perfect service. I guess it is the luck of the draw.

I've been here several times over the last few years. Outback is a great steakhouse pretty much wherever you go. However, my last time there I did have my first notably bad experience. The service was fantastic as usual, but the cuts on 2 separate orders of NY Strips were absolutely terrible. They both had gristle running right through the middle of them! It was one of the most disappointing moments that I've ever had with such a general expectation of a good steak. The manager had told us that to cut some dollars, corporate now changed the processing from 100% hand cut steaks to automated. Apparently, this was a bad batch because they were two of the worst cut pieces that I'd ever seen. The rest of it was as pleasant as usual. Because of the long standing relationship that Outback and I have, they retain the 3 star as a sign of respect. Next time they've got some quality control issues that may bring them down......
(3)
Alicia H.
So the service here is great and deserve more than 3 stars, but the quality of the meat, not so. We got 2 NYs and BOTH had grisle down the middle... I'm sorry but if I wanted to cut around my meat I would have ordered a T-bone. Spoke with the our waitress (Karma) who was very on top of our drinks I might add, and she brought over the manager (James). James told us that they have now gone (to save $$) to no longer hand cutting their meat and it is all automatic so you do not have anyone noticing that that should not be served. I would recommend you specifically ask when you order for them to keep an eye out for the grisle cuz other than that the food was great :)
I think this was my 3rd time in life eating at an Outback Steakhouse... Not really much to say, except that I was really pleased with both the service and the food! Our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive (but not annoyingly so). It was a crowded Saturday night (it's the suburbs people. This is where people go...) yet we were bumped up on the list since we had called earlier and put our names down, though they do not take reservations. It's just a shorter wait. I had the teriyaki glazed steak and steamed veggies. Everything was delicious. I know my expectations weren't exactly the highest, but still! The drink, a strawberry lemonade vodka concoction was tasty, but weak. Again, no big surprise for a suburban chain-style restaurant...

I love this restaurant! I dine at outback quite frequently and they have a great selection of food. They have pasta, steak, seafood and the best salad I've ever had. I know that people on here complain about the sirloin but it isn't the best cut of meat to begin with. If you're looking for top notch steak go with the Victorias filet! Also they have a great $4 happy hour! The service is always great even on a busy weekend night. I would definitely suggest call ahead seating if you are looking to go on a Friday or Saturday night. Overall I'm quite impressed with this location even if it is a chain restaurant!

My girlfriend and I have gone to this location nearly every week or two for the last year. I'm going to give this a 5 star review as our overall experience here has been about as good as I've had for being at a common casual chain restaurant. I could nitpick individual experiences, but by and large, we've had great service and food most times we've been. Out of 30+ visits, sometimes the parking lot is PACKED, but we've only had to wait to be seated once, surprisingly. We've only ever eaten dinner at this location, and we've never had to wait exceedingly long times for our food. Sometimes, our food has been out as fast as our drinks! We love steak on the cheap, so we always get the 6 oz Outback special with a salad and loaded baked potato, this fills the 2 of us up for under $20 (not including the beers I always get). The steaks have been cooked spot on about 95% of the time, as well as being cut properly about the same amount. I'd say we've only had 2 or so under-par visits, and it usually comes down to the food being off a bit, but I would still rate this restaurant 3 stars or more on those occasions. It's a chain, but I think it does a great job.

I just have to laugh! LMAO!!! First of all, if you come here on a Friday or Saturday night, your are guaranteed at least an hour wait. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less, but never a little less. Knowing that, we waited with our party of 8 in the front doors (thank goodness for the heater in the doorway) for roughly an hour - this wasn't my idea, but with out of town folk who wanted to eat here, we waited patiently. Time flew by only because I was people watching and listening. Being stuck in the front entrance you get to see and hear everything that goes on in the initial 30 seconds or entry. I must say, there are some either naive or just plain stupid people that came through the door asking "uh, how long is the wait?" Really?!?! You can't guess? Well, by the looks at the 40 or so people already waiting inside and out, well, your wait is going to be a long one. I love the look on their faces when they're told the wait time (~55-65min) as most storm out of the building saying "that is just ridiculous!" What do you expect? Express service? A VIP line? No people, this is Outback, a chain just like Olive Garden that has a waiting list that seems miles long on a weekend. Sheesh. Anyhow, enough about my observations (and rant), I didn't give this place 3 stars because of my above statements, I gave it that rating because the service is still mediocre, although our server did keep up with the drinks and bread, he was still zombie-like with his expressionless face and no follow up such as, "how is your meal?". He knew he was getting his 18% off the bat. Oh well, the food was pretty average at best as my steak was under cooked. I actually prefer rare plus (just a little searing on the outside), but that at places like Capital Grille where the cut is just a little better. Therefore, I opted for medium here and my steak came rare plus anyhow - oh well. My potato was rock hard. I felt like I needed a chainsaw to cut through it. But the best part was my salad. The veggies were fresh and there was just enough dressing. Now that I've written a book on this place, I will still go back when family comes into town, but next time recommend eating on a Sunday.

So last night, me and hubby we're thinking where do we go at 8 p.m. on St. Patt's Day without a running into a crowd? We ran the usual suspects through our brains and finally settled on Outback in Westminster. We decide to sit at the bar and order drinks first while we browse the menu. I order the Shiraz and hubby orders a beer. As always, I am trying to watch the "waste-line," so I ordered the seared Ahi Tuna as an entree instead of an appetizer and hubby orders the chicken sandwich and he orders the tuna also. He gave me a taste of his chicken sandwich later and it was oh so good. Grilled chicken with all the fixings. The bartender, John, said he recognized me (this happens every where I go) from Lo Do. He used to work at Rock Bottom downtown. I tell him I used to work at a popular men's salon there and he goes, "Oh yeah, that is where I remember you from." Anyway, I've had a better meal and way better wine. I think next year on St. Patt's Day we should really do it right and go to Fado's. Yeah, I miss Lo Do. I am definitely more Urban than hubby. Westminster is not where I belong.

Terrible, poor service, clueless staff. Sat at the bar for lunch by myself, presumably the bartender was waiting on me. Bar stunk of rank beer (I bartended in college, I know 'dirty bar' smell) so I was thinking about moving to an adjacent booth. Urge to move was finalized by a clueless employee who came out and started loudly blending the contents of two blender jars right in front of me. He could tell the sound bothered me, but only said something like 'that doesn't sound right, does it?' and continued to hit the button making the screeching noise to confirm with another employee that the machine wasn't working well. When bartender comes back, he says 'oh, you moved' I explained the circumstances and he said, 'you can move back now, he's done'...as if I was inconveniencing him by causing him to have to come around the bar to a table. No thanks. Was the steak that arrived cooked to my liking? (not that anyone asked) maybe when it came off the grill, but by the time it hit the table and had 'rested' a bit, it was definitely medium...not that I blame the cook...this 'lunch sized' ribeye was 1/2" thick...how do you cook that to temp? (on a side note I think that the majority of line cooks don't realize that the temp of a steak goes up as many as 15 degrees when it's resting AFTER you take it off the grill, thereby automatically one level more 'done' than requested if you cook it perfectly to temp on the grill) It might as well have been a piece of skirt steak, which would have been okay if it were a decent grade and not tough and fibrous. Waiter didn't offer to refill my iced tea (thanks for not offering any sweetener with that) until I'd paid my bill (it was absolutely empty). Total waste of money. Unbelievable ribeye lunch at Saltgrass Steakhouse the other day...thick, done perfectly, recognizable as a ribeye cut (which what I got at Outback was not) Bleh.

This is gonna be hard as we are regulars at this Outback. Our favorite server (Ben) was working tonight which was a bonus. They had creamy onion soup tonight which was a double bonus. That might just be the best restaurant soup I have ever had. Large pieces of firm yet cooked onions in a creamy, cheesy stock. It is incredible and tonight didn't disappoint. Now for the rest of the meal. We ordered the coconut shrimp and wedge salads to start the meal. Our wedge salads came sans balsamic glaze...this was sad as that ingredient is an integral part of the wedge experience. STRIKE ONE! Ben brought us some glaze...still no coconut shrimp though...Ben took care of that too. Got our meals right after we got our shrimp...STRIKE TWO! I ordered the 11 ounce top sirloin which is usually a very nice cut of meat. It was cooked to medium rare perfection. I was anxious as it was a flatter cut of sirloin, not the thick cut I personally prefer. My angst was justified as the flavor was bland and grainy. The meat was not very tender. Not the best steak I have had there. I should have gotten the seasoned and seared (you gotta order it this way) prime rib or the rack of lamb. Those are usually spot on! Overall this was a disappointment. Not even Ben could bring this rating up above 3 stars, although he did comp us all of our drinks as well as the coconut shrimp.

We received an Outback Steakhouse gift card recently, and though it would be good to give it a try and use that gift. It had been a few years since I had eaten at Outback. The place was just as busy, crowded as I've seen in the past. (The good sign); I really liked their steaks in the past and decided on a "Special" Rib Eye, the size was a few oz larger than normal. I received the meal on time, however the steak was so salty I thought I was going to overdose on sodium. What the heck is going on with these places? I suppose they think Lawry Salt is the answer to everything? Wow, I'll never shadow a doorway of an Outback Steakhouse again.

The waiter was super good and nice. The food all tasted amazing I got the tilapia with crab. Our appetizer never came out but he made sure to remove it from the bill

This is our second visit in a month.. Better than last time .. Which was also very good. Met a couple that brings in lovely cakes and shares them at the bar. We love this place!!!

This visit one our best in a long time , Karma was our waitress and did a fantastic job. It's hard to find a good waitress Karma's got it going on. Food was good as usual. Didn't have to wait to long.

This is the first five I have ever given. The food is always spectacular. One of the female managers there is AWSOME!!! always super nice and great to talk to my wife and I will definitely keep this location as one of our favorite places to eat.

I get a take out order from here time to time and have always had good food and good service

(2)Christian B.

Now I know.
(2)Gregory P.
(5)Suz W.

(3)Alicia H.

Our waitress earned her money tonight with lots of extra requests, and she performed very well. It made the evening, along with good food. Steaks were fine, and the mahi fish was flavorful even without the lemon-butter sauce. Good variety of sides to accompany the main entrée.

Lobster tails were good as was the walk about soup. Waitress had a sense of humor, very pleasant. Food came pretty quick. I will be eating here again.
