For those of you who know Louisiana gumbo, I believe you will call it very respectable! However, they need to offer a side of rice and File seasoning. Lots of chicken and andouille.

First you should know this is the restaurant in the Doubletree hotel. Oh sure it's got it's own entrance. But it's a hotel restaurant. Akin to a hospital's cafeteria. Secondly, look at the other reviews. How this place is still open is a mystery to me. Horrible food and horrible service. Regardless of whether you dine in or get room service. I used to stay at this hotel regularly when on business there. I got to where I ate out all the time. Recently I've tried it again, ordering room service just once. Yep, nothing's changed, still bland. Now I stay at Marriott or Westin. Noise Level: Super quiet (there is rarely anyone in there) Good for groups: Yes (if you never want to be allowed to organize another group meal again) Takes Reservations: No reservations needed. There's always be plenty of open seats.

First off the "all you can eat buffet" is only Friday and Saturdays. Ate here on Monday night while stuck at the hotel due to snow. It took 15 minutes to get my beer; took that long to find a lime... full service bar and no limes :( Ordered a pasta dish of the menu.. came with the option of adding chicken so I did also told the waitress I did not want cheese on it and "light" on the sauce. Well first she came back asking for what I meant by "light" on the sauce so I told her I din't want my pasta swimming in butter sauce. Well when my dish finally showed up it was NOT the dish I had ordered... it was plain pasta with some grilled chicken missing were all the vegetables that came with the dish listed on the menu; all the waitress could say was" oh thats what I thought you wanted". I sent it back and left. As I travel 3 weeks a month and eat at restaurants all the time this by far was the worse I have had in a long time; clearly reinforcing the point of avoiding restaurants in hotels at all cost again only ate here because of the snow outside...

Expensive, poor service, food is not great. Some got the buffet and some ordered off the menu. People eating buffet were finished by the time the rest of us got our good. Drive down the street to Saltgrass instead of eating here.

Here is a new one...a surcharge from the bar for the soda when ordering a stoli and soda. That's right, $3.90 added to the bill for the club soda in two of my drinks that were already paid for. Besides the waiter forgetting to bring out the gumbo I ordered, the food was fair at best. Ambiance is reminiscent of a 80's or 90's hotel restaurant, clean and passable but nothing to write home about.

All I've tried is the Creole Chicken Wrap but it was awesomeness wrapped in a super yummy jalapeno tortilla which surprised me since this was a New Orleans style restaurant chain in a hotel. Can't wait to try something else tomorrow!
