My husband, daughter, and I often get breakfast burritos here. Sometimes they're better than other times, sometimes they're dry. They often label the burritos wrong and we usually just switch and are done with it. It's pretty annoying though. We had an incident today so we called because it's BS and happens OFTEN. Thankfully none of us have food allergies and it's more of a preference thing, but what if we did? It is a thing and the labeling should be paid attention to. The customer service experience for my husband when he called was bad enough and then I called and again was told there's nothing we can do about this. No offer to replace or do anything nice and I was HUNG UP ON, which was completely uncalled for, especially since I was being nice about it! Such a bummer!!!!

Since my partner in crime is away with her family for a few days and my funds are depleted from Christmas shopping, I have resorted to going to places that (a) I have a coupon; and (b) I have never been before. Tonight I tried Big Mamas, and ended up purchasing 2 burritos for $5 with the coupon from the Entertainment Book. I ordered two burritos -- a shredded pork with cheese and shredded beef with cheese. The standard burritos come with a protein and chili (mild, medium, hot), but the cheese is extra. I found the meat to be a little salty, and the medium chili was tasty and not too spicy. With the exception of the tortilla, the food seems to be made fresh. One filled me up, so the size is pretty decent. I prefer these burritos over Qdoba because they are not full of unnecessary rice and beans like Qdoba's burritos. Tried it (Check), now on to the next place.

We like this place! Funky-in a former gas station-but the breakfast burritos we get their semi-regularly are big and tasty! Cheap too!

Recommend getting any burrito but the sausage one. Mine came with a single WHOLE link sausage inside of it...like some sort of burrito hot dog. Kind of boggles my mind that the cook couldn't take the time to simply chop up the sausage and mix it in with the burrito especially for a place that specializes in burritos.

Best breakfast burrito I have ever had. Better then Viva and Santiago's. Staff was very nice. Food Is very delicious. I recommend to everyone. The Chile is actually mild and not burning hot like chubbys. Only complaint is they have no horchata.

I used to love this place until the owner called my husband the "N" word!! I will never go to this establishment ever again. I am appalled that the owner would think it was acceptable to use words like that!!

okay, I am a fan. I stumbled upon Big Mamas by accident. I was down the street and starving, so I decided to use my last bit of energy to walk here and order a loaded burrito. one word. WOW!!! full of flavor, cheap, and gave me a boost. I felt like Popeye. Gave me enough energy for the rest of the day. It was VERY messy, but VERY good.

The burritos here are good, not great. I do love it though because it's so conviently located and very inexpensive. The green chili is very tasty and has quite a kick. Even the medium is fairly hot so be careful if you're not used to spicy foods. This is also more of a take out place. There's a small sitting area and they have done a nice job of fixing it up but I stil wouldn't come here for a sit down meal.

I'm still looking for the perfect burrito, and they're close. But not quite close enough. See, in my opinion, a burrito should be tightly rolled. Think "food log". You should be able to eat it with one hand, while driving down the highway, and not worry that you'll end up with a lap full of burrito slaughter. You should be able to throw it at someone and make them think they're going to be hurt. That, alone, would be worth a solid two stars.

With so many great Mexican food options in this area, it took me a while to stop at Big Mama's, even though it's at the end of my street. I was skeptical because the location is so, well, unappetizing i guess. It's located in an old gas station, which isnt the kind of place that usually makes me super hungry, but when I finally got in there to give it a try, wow! I had been seriously missing out. The food is simple and so is the menu. Everything I've tried so far has been good. The meat is all very flavorful and the portions are huge for the price. The breakfast burrito with chorizo, eggs, potatoes and cheese with hot green chili is one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had, anywhere. And I have had a lot of breakfast burritos. The tacos are good and brimming with fillings, tho the shells are kind of lower quality. I also tried a pork quesadilla which was full of flavor and served with more of the delicious hot green chili. Definitely worth a try, especially on mornings when you need a quick breakfast to go!
