Drove through Westcliffe and looked for a place to eat. The beer was cold and that was the awesome part. Food was a different story, burger was burned, fries were freezer burned and stale. When you order a burger its plain jane. No accoutrements like lettuce, mayo, tomatoes and mayo. The seating sucks, really was the only place in town that we saw was open for lunch. Desperate times call for desperate measures.

We stopped in Westcliffe on Oct 5, 14 and ate lunch here upon recommendation of a local business owner. We had a Bite me burger, a Ranch burger, an All American burger and a club sandwich. The burgers were all excellent - cooked just as we ordered, hot and juicy. The french fries were also excellent - fresh cut with skin still on and seasoned perfectly. Mac and cheese was also delicious. The cole slaw was just ok - needed salt and pepper to make it palatable. The bacon on the club was slightly over cooked, but otherwise, good. Overall, we loved our meals but can't give the restaurant 5 stars due to somewhat slow service. Only one waiter and a fairly full place made for a slightly long wait to order and to pay. However, if we are in the area again, we will return for the burgers!

Tried their fish fry. Stale fries and frozen fish fillets. They would be better off advertising it as fish and chips. Beer was cold tho. Burgers may be good but I won't go there again.

Very good. Excellent service! The burgers and chicken sandwiches are amazing, they have a great selection of side dishes that are very tasty. I recommend the Mac and Cheese. The staff here is great and very friendly. This is a great place to eat or just grab a drink.

Good burger. Had good flavor. Got to pick a side so I picked the house made mac n cheese. Good and creamy. Chips and salsa are homemade. I just wish that the chips were served hot and the salsa had some kick to it. If you like a thick good tasting burger, this is your place. And had awesome service. Gil the waiter was brillant!

The definition of a hidden local spot. This was my second time there. the first time was over the summer and just happened to stop there by chance when we stopped for gas. When you walk in its a small place but what's behind the bar is what makes this place amazing. The have a wood fire grill right there behind the counter. I get the bronco burger which comes with bacon blue cheese and their chili sauce. This place is worth the trip even if it's not on your direct route.

We tried Chappy's for the first time yesterday and will be back! We sat at the bar and ordered the BLT sandwich and steak salad, both of which came out in a timely fashion and they were yummy! The man who took our order was the only server and bartender during the time we were there and he did a great job handling everyone's requests. I really liked being able to watch the cooking on the grill, which also kept the place nice and warm. Overall, we liked the food, service and atmosphere. It was a little pricey, but it seems in line with the other restaurants in the area.

We come to town the first weekend of each August. Decided to try Chappys, big mistake. Small place, very full but got a table for 6 right away. We were told they had good burgers, but they had a sirloin special and we all went for it, big mistake. It took forever, we there over 2 hours. All our steaks were ordered medium or medium rare. The steaks were all over done and tasteless. The fries were stale and over cooked as well. We should have sent them all back, but had waited so long and we were so hungry that we actually ate the meal. We won't go back and will be telling all our friends that come to this event to stay away. Server was almost ok but we had to catch her to get refills and those were scarce. Would be 0 stars if possible.

We visit Westcliffe pretty regularly and have eaten here a couple times. Today, I had the Bronco chicken sandwich. My husband had the All American. Both sandwiches were fabulous! The chicken was a bit underdone on my sandwich, but they fixed it immediately and gave us a discount. The chef came over to personally bring me my food and apologize. Customer service was excellent. I would recommend them.

First time eating here. Mad props to the chef! The food was superb! The wait staff could be a lot better. The waitress was rude and inattentive. Overall...a great place!

This marked the second time I've been to Westcliffe, and I'm not entirely sure if this place was open when we were there the first time we went back in '06 or '07. The first night (a Thursday night) myself and one of the guys I travel with went there and it was kind of dull and the waitress was kind of dry, but I can look over that fairly easily. I wasn't sure if they were serving food or not as it was fairly late, so we both just had a beer and retired for the night. The next night we went back with another one of the guys we travel with and ran into some friends that were also in town the same weekend (we were all there playing the bluegrass festival that weekend), and it was considerably busier. This was a considerably different experience! Karaoke, an active, and very friendly wait staff, and an all around good time was had. I typically don't get into karaoke either, but it was a lot of fun. We still didn't get to try any of their food though. The next day we took our whole band and went back during the day when we knew they'd be serving food to try some of their burgers. I forget exactly which one I had but it was delicious! Everyone else seemed to like theirs as well. I hope we get the opportunity to go back some day, because it is a nice town, and this is a nice place! Go check it out if you get the chance!

I stop here during my bike rides in the area. I'm not sure what it is about this place that I love so much, but I do. The grill is wood fired and in open viee, the bar and hardwood floors are perfectly aged, the food is good, and the service is excellent.

Awesome Burger...compliments to the Chef... Actually met the lady that did the cooking....waitress needs training... Some People are not cut out for customer service... She just didn't have customer service skills.. Will return food was excellent !!!
