My husband and I have been to this cafe several times over the years but our most recent visit will be our last. Small country towns are supposed to be friendly, right? Well, not this greasy spoon diner. Our server was "Cary" and she was a miserable woman with zero customer service skills. Without a greeting she dumped the menus on our table and barked "What do you want?" without giving us enough time to read them. When we asked a few simple questions about the menu it seemed to be pushing her beyond her job description to have to answer them. When I ordered the yogurt and fresh fruit I was told rudely, "It says 'seasonal'. We don't have it." She was very belittling. "Seasonal" to me means "fruit that's in season". Obviously it is too difficult to grab an apple from the local supermarket, but not for the French toast which tasted like it was straight out of a box. It was soggy and presented sloppily. My husband had a nasty breakfast burrito with hash browns that were basically raw. Throughout the meal, Cary never checked in with us to see how we were doing, only to dump the bill on our table. She ignored us as we left. I can't recommend this place. Instead, try the River Rock cafe on the next block.

Food was less than hoped for, but to top it off the service was bad. Then the waitress (Esther, according to our receipt) had the nerve to add $2 onto our slightly less than 15% tip (according to my credit card statement)!

We ate breakfast at this place 4 days in a row. The food was great. The coffee was excellent and the service was great. This is the best place in walden. Hands down. Will go bac every time I can.

Good sandwiches/burgers etc. Very friendly staff. I believe they have Internet. Pretty average service speed. If you're in there when it's a little more crowded it will probably be a tad on the slower side - only because they understaff sometimes. Everyone is so unbelievably nice, though. Solid place to stop for lunch if you're driving through.

I've primarily had breakfast here and they have a couple of very good items. Recently I had the huevos Rancheros and it was quite good, a very good green chili, refrieds and eggs over easy on two good tortillas. The breakfast burrito is also fine.

True to from! Good, honest food served lovingly. (processed food reins in what could be) There is something to be said for a stranger knowing you... I felt like I was family when ordering. The twang from our waitress sealed the deal. The food is unremarkable, but somehow is 'turned' great with said service!

It's not gas station coffee, for that I'm grateful. Staff is grumpy looking and slow, but nice enough when they talk to you. Food was good. Price is reasonable.

Best cowboy burger I've ever had! 100% all beef, super juicy and tasty. Also great sweet potato fries. A true ranching town w/ a twist; Russian exchange students waiting the tables over summer break. Service is a bit slow, but well worth the wait.
Pretty damn expensive, refused to split our ticket because there were too many guests, one large pancake costs 5$. Unable to order any lunch items at 11:00am. Food was OK, but not worth the price. Cinnamon rolls were OK. Fireplace was nice. Pretty fast service, good coffee, cozy environment.

Unfriendly staff. Slow service. Staff treated us completely different from a table of hunter who came in. Tables and seating need a face lift. Not even a thank you from the waitress.

Great service, great food, great prices. The calamity burger was prepared perfectly and was one of the best burgers we've had in a while. Food has homemade quality. They even had a doggie burger on the menu for my friends' two dogs. Outdoor patio, Friendly dogs are welcome. Service was great!

Moose Creek has terrific burgers! We've had great service here and especially love the fact that the front porch is dog friendly. We've had some great conversations with our servers and enjoy the local ambiance. We are regulars here in the summers when we visit our cabin in North Park.

I came in on a Thursday evening and had the steak fajita wrap with the usual rice and beans. The sides were the same-old same-old. The wrap was very tasty; the peppers and onions were sautéed just right and the meat was well seasoned. But, and I brought this to my server's attention, it was very grisly. I even suspect they used the trimmings off the other cuts of the evening for the fajitas! But I doubt it; seems like a better place than that. But if you get the fajita wrap and experience the same thing - call them out on it! They need a new meat prep guy, you ask me.
