Absolutely love this place. Used to be Swiss Hot Dog. Been coming to Vail for the last 30 years and would always have to have my Swiss Hot Dog fix !

Sooooo, the swiss hot dogs folks have finally landed (again). Over the past 20 years, we've seen them move from a storefront in Vail to a stand at the farmers market and back to a brick and mortar in the village. New, so no hours posted quite yet. Limited menu (of swiss hot dogs), but more to come. Full bar. Quaint space. His/hers bathrooms. I have great hope that swiss hot dogs will become a random snack rather than a farmers market only delight. Triple dog $11. Only complaint...get your farmers market groove back on and super-shake that curry powder on my dog!

1. Simple, delicious, two item menu 2. Lots of kinds of booze 3. Not as crowded as the rest of the mountain 4. Ladies that work here hook it up and do it with a smile.

Very disappointing as a lunch spot. The menu was very limited, just hot dogs and chicken soup. The hot dogs were cold. The buns were barely warmed over, definitely not toasted as one would expect. Sprouts, one of the few choices of added ingredients for the hot dogs, were not available. The small cup of chicken soup was tasty but thin; few vegetables, very few small pieces of chicken. Definitely not the place to grab a hearty noon meal during a day of skiing or even a quick meal while simply strolling around Vail Village. Perhaps a long time local icon but on our visit, a disappointment.

Delicious and an icon for a reason. Baguette-like roll was a symphony of crunch and toasted to crisp, warm, chewy perfection. Their dogs are exclusively flown in from Austria. Don't be fooled by their delicate and slender physique. They're flavorful and don't have that weird nubby-bits texture that other brats have. Extraordinary complex flavors adorn the already lip smacking dogs (2 or 3 dogs per baguette depending on your hunger level). Curry powder (think of it more on flavor boost side and NOT Chinese or Indian takeout), mustard is satisfying and a medium heat, and chopped onion and sprouts. Chicken noodle soup is unlike anything I've had. Bright lime, cilantro, and a total of 23 herbs and veggies in it. Comforting and unusual flavors makes it fun to slurp down to warm up your bones. For those reviews that note small menu selection and a sub-quality experience here, I urge you to try it again. It's not Sonic, they have 2 items to eat because that's what this legendary family business is known for and great at. The man who started this decades ago is now in the winter of his life. He spent his years telling amazing stories and offering a delicious, signature meal to families near and far. His daughter has taken over the business and today my toddler had his first dog here with his dad who has been eating these since he was little. Hashtag swisshotdogs4eva!

Been coming since the Lionshead days under a different name..smae food. Good as always except NO SOUP FOR YOU! REALLY? They only have the best brats in Colorado and soup on their menu but on this day NO SOUP. Oh well it's OK I'll be back as always. Things happen after all. Love the decor and bar. Will be great to Apres here this Winter!

Awesome long time true local business. Great staff and awesome wieners! Great spot for lunch and Après while you are skiing. Great spot for a drink too!

I'm addicted to the Swiss hot dogs this family has been serving in Vail for decades, and the flavors of the bread and ingredients are consistently delicious. The decor of the new place is attractive and sophisticated with a full bar, and the service staff is friendly and professional.
